Since the Hubs was in tampa, i took a trip to find the local Outback. It is our off 44, and about a half our from my home. I had the very bubbly Melody as my server. She was excellent and lnew many of her customers, her rapport was excellent. It seems she really likes what she's doing. I ordered one of the seasonal offerings, the chimichuri steak with awesom blossom petals, a ceasar salad and the new parmesan creme corn. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sauce was vibrant and tangy. The only issue, minor as it was, is that the onion petsls tasted microwaved vs fresh from the fryer. Family and friends dinner group of 5. Called ahead and made a reservation to be safe. When we arrived things were a little discombobulated as the hostess left station after greeting us for a couple mins then returned and said due to waitress change over we needed to wait until they clocked in or start to work before the hostess would seat us. We were seated and the waitress came over and apologized and asked if we were waiting long as she just got told it was her table. The waitress was awesome, great service and very attentive and made suggestions and never let our drink run out.. We ordered a blooming onion, cheesy fries for starters then we ordered adult beverages, steaks, salad and I ordered the seared ahi tuna All the food was fresh, hot and tasted great and it all arrived at same time no delays or errors. Today's visit to Outback for lunch, was with a group of more than 30 people. Large groups provide a different kind of challenge. We were seated and greeted promptly. They were expecting us. Drink orders were taken. Bread and butter weren't far behind. The servers were fast and efficient. Our group was thanked by the manager for coming. They have a special going on now the Aussie 3-course meal which includes soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. I opted for coconut shrimp, baked potato, salad, and dessert was cheesecake. We got the Mother's Day special filet and lobster tail. Everything was perfect! The filet was tender and the lobster tasty.

My Husband and I took my Brother and Sister in law for his Birthday, I had to send Back my Steak Three times and it still wasn't cooked! Horrible! The Manager was also just as pissed as I was. Hubby and I decided to go to eat at this Outback located in Inverness Florida for our date night because they were offering some new menu items that he wanted to try. Our waitress was very nice and extremely efficient with all the tables she was serving. We had no complaints and all I heard was nice compliments from everyone else. We were contemplating between two appetizers - the original Bloomin' Onion and their new Bloomin' Fried Shrimp. The Bloomin' Onion won out just by a small margin. We were very pleased with our choice. A nice sized Onion cut into petals and dipped in their special batter then deep fried and served with their spicy bloom sauce. Very delicious and additive. I was going to order their new menu item : spicy jammin' meatloaf but at the last second changed my mind to Alice Springs Chicken. My two sides were fresh veggies and their seasoned rice. The Alice Springs Chicken is a boneless skinless chicken breast topped with sliced fresh mushrooms, bacon, honey mustard, Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. The chicken was cooked perfectly : moist and tender and had a great flavor. It was a nice sized portion too. My fresh veggies were sautéed zucchini, yellow squash and carrots in a light sauce. Very good, tender but not mushy - they were a great side to my chicken. I also really enjoyed their seasoned rice. I couldn't find any fault with the flavor or texture. My hubby tried their new menu item Bloomin' Fried Chicken. A boneless, skinless chicken breast hand battered in their bloomin' Onion batter and fried until golden brown. Served with their bloom sauce and two sides. Hubby chose a Caesar Salad and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. He loved the bloomin' fried chicken so much he said he had wanted a bigger portion. His sides were excellent also especially the Caesar salad. Their dressing is one of the best he ever tasted, and after giving me a bite I would have to agree with him. Our meals were accompanied by a small hot loaf of pumpernickel bread with butter that we cut ourselves - scrumptious. We washed all of our food down with multiple glasses of unsweetened ice tea which our waitress kept on top of. First, I want to start with an apology. My wife and I went to this Outback a couple years ago and had a very bad experience and I let everybody know when I posted my review here onYelp. I am a former restaurant order from Cincinnati Ohio so I love writing reviews on all the restaurants that we go to just to give my opinion for those who may use this application in choosing their dining experiences. Now, I have a new review because we had a new and great experience I had a big problem with their fillet last time and this time the petite fillet looked perfect, was prepared perfectly and was delicious. My wife had the salmon, which was delicious ... and our two friends both had the Sirloin ... delicious as well. Gayle was our server ... and, from the beginning of our service to the end, she was perfect. Outstanding. I would go so far as to recommend that you ask for her if you go to this out. I must also mention that there were two young ladies at the check in station, and one needs to be retrained! I didn't even get her name. She was a thin, dark haired young lady who never showed a smile, did not greet us in any way and came across pretty negatively. The other was Shea Lin, who was great. We were invited here for the soft opening when proceeds benefitted KCI. During that time our experience was amazing. This time was the total opposite! Service was mediocre , at best. The time from when we were seated to when we got our meal was an hour and then the order wasn't correct. It took over 15 minutes to get our drinks and about an hour to get my salad and another 45 to receive my dinner there was a total of 6 tables with people dining and 3 different servers absolutely no reason for it to take this long will never be dinning here again!! A VERY pleasant surprise! Everything the way it should be! Thank you! Right out of the box I'll admit that we've been staying away from Outback. We'd had multiple less-than-stellar experiences at our nearest Outback. We gave them opportunities to win us back, but after four attempts, we called it quits. So, it took a HUGE leap of faith, a different location AND a $50 birthday Gift Card to bring us back to the Bloomin' Brand. Bathed in a twilight splash of colors, awash in a light drizzling rain, we hopscotched over puddles on the glossy black tarmac. Roof edge waterfalls cascaded down as we ducked in, to this Outback. Leading my lady by the hand, Fab One & I chose to sit in a cozy booth. In the adult libation area. Some would call it the 'bar'. What a great choice and lucky us! For this was the service domain of the inimitable Sherry! She welcomed us with 'open arms'... We were soon to realize that our past down under frown blunder journeys were fading away, just as the lights that go down in the city at sunrise. We were so impressed with the reprieve that Sherry was serving, I insisted on speaking with the manager. That would be Jennifer. In no time, we all had a high vibe, high five kind of feeling. (I know that look. Wink!) I REALLY wanted to get a Bloomin' Onion. HOW can you NOT get a Bloomin' Onion? I just knew that I'd better leave room for my steak-craving plate that was to come! So, there was to be NO Bloomin' Onion in our future. Not tonight, anyhow. I witnessed a virtual light bulb go off over Sherry's head, as she pointed out an item on the special 'Specials' menu. And there, in bold colors, was the answer to my Outback comeback! I could get a Steak 'N Mate Combo! I'd get my Outback Sirloin paired with Bloomin' Fried SHRIMP! Imagine the taste of a Bloomin' Onion but wrapped around succulent shrimp! Shrimp swimming in that spicy bloom sauce. AND this came with TWO sides! Craving completely satisfied! Pinch me! Naturally, I got a loaded Baked Potato and a take-me-back House Salad. Ohhhhhhh, did we ever hit the jackpot! A raindrop falling, memory recalling, Sherry grand slamming, old hangout homecoming... Ordered to go, classic blue cheese wedge side salad arrived looking nothing like the picture on the app. One chunk of lettuce with a few sprinkles of blue cheese in a couple of cherry tomatoes tossed in with a little side of blue cheese dressing. Definitely not worth the price. And then the wings were tasteless and the bones were dark brown indicating that it was old meat . The fries were limp and very sparse. We were hungry and wanted to go out to eat. Outback was my choice the wife agreed so we went. We sat at the bar and they were social Distancing. Kyle was our bartender and he gave us great service. We started with the Aji tuna it was terrific. I then ordered the prime rib 16 ounce it was very tender and tasty. No way had the ribeye and lobster tail she enjoyed it. Inverness Fl location. The appetizer and bread was brought with no plates to use. The waitress had a bit of an attitude. She was nice overall, but seemed to have little experience waiting tables as she never cleared our dishes from the bread or appetizers. She brought refills without clearing empty glasses. The food was good and was brought out reasonably prompt. She had the nerve though to confront a guest in our party over the amount of the tip that they left. Not cool!!! I like the Outback, but this has to be the worst exp we've ever had with The Outback. We are considering never visiting this location ever again. We hope things will change. Absolutely one of the best dining experiences in Citrus County. This Outback is spot-on with steak temperatures and all foods ordered. Our server Daniel was the best. We dined here again yesterday. Hit or miss at outback locations but this location has been pretty steady. If you order there trademark Sirloin then you're pretty good to go. The few times I do come here I sit at the bar because I prefer the atmosphere. Stick to the Sirloin and the side orders are all pretty good. The rest of the food looked decent but why bother with a steakhouse that fails at preparing steaks. the server was nice and very understanding.
