The food here is really good. I have eaten in the best steakhouses in the world and this one truly ranks at the top for quality of food. They stay open late, which is awesome. The service is hit and miss depending on who I get. I always go there every month when I am working in town. I will keep on going and always enjoy my dinner there. read more

I had not been to an outback location in so long. When I saw our hotel had an outback I knew we had to go there for dinner. I ordered the top sirloin with the mashed potatoes and blooming petals. My son ordered the chicken tenders. Unfortunately there was a lot of black pepper in the breading for the tenders and he was unable to eat them. We were never offered bread which was unfortunate but we didn't bring it to the servers attention. Other than that our server was great. We had lots of leftovers as the portions are always plentiful. Stumbled across this location. Located inside the Aquarius Casino and Hotel. Ambiance was your typical outback experience and decor. Was immediately seated (sat at bar). Attempted to order their famous blooming onion and was told by the bartender that it wasn't available due to the following: 1. The onions they received were too small, where they had to do two onions to make up for one regular blooming opinion and 2. The recent batch of onions they received weren't even edible. Interesting. No alternative or complimentary coupons to return at a later date due to whatever was going on with Outbacks end of the deal. Just pure disappointment. The best lobster dinner I've had in a restaurant in a while...even from high-end places! The best EVER at an Outback, and I've visited a bunch of locations in different states. I didn't really want to go to the Outback because of previous experiences at different locations, but hubby did, and it was right there. One of the most unprofessional encounters I have EVER had and I'm just grateful I didn't spend any money here. 1000% do not recommend. Literally go ANYWHERE else. Inside Aquarius in Laughlin...TVs everywhere, lots of energy...great spot to watch football. I had the seared tuna which was delicious! The bartender was our server too, and she was very attentive. I would have given 5 stars- everything we ordered was great! Coconut shrimp, perfect crispy hot fries, a couple salads and the yummiest chili! I'm only giving 4 stars because my chili was supposed to have steak in it but there was not a single piece! I think they only scooped from the top when they served me. But it was so yummy even without - but I would have preferred to have some protein. Drinks were good - mine had too much peach syrup and the bartender was quick to remedy with more tea. When I arrived I let the hostess know I was waiting for one more. There is no cel signal in the Aquarius. Hence after 15 min of waiting my friend came out of the restaurant to look for me. He also told them he was waiting on a guest. That sucked. They should be better. Unnecessary. Next our soup, salad, bread and meal came all at once. I'm not a big fan of that, two large plates in front of you. The soup had next to nothing in it. Just barely creamy fluid. When I asked the waiter for another he kept saying; so now you want endless? No, I want a soup that has potatoes in it since it's potato soup. I hate leaving reviews but I wish we had an Outback that had service and food at the brand's standard. I've never seen an Outback with standards like this. I will say this; the three young women (sisters) that work there held my last three visits together with being friendly, funny and attentive. I've always been a fan of Outback but was disappointed in this one. Everything I had was extremely salty and over priced. I guess the pricing is the new norm, but $9 for a draft beer? I could have bought a six pack. I had the ribeye with shrimp and was disappointed, especially considering the price. DONT GET THE SHRIMP ADD ON. ITS A SCAM. I paid an extra $9 for grilled shrimp thinking they would be jumbo prawns and they gave me 4 baby bite sized shrimps!!!! WTF ? The steak was so salty you could not even taste the meat. The baked potato was rollled in sea salt on the outside. You might want to check your blood pressure after eating here. This is located inside the Acquarius Casino Hotel in Laughlin, NV. We stayed at the Golden Nugget and were celebrating our 39th Wedding Anniversary. We wanted steak and celebrate and went to the Saltgrass Steakhouse there at 9:30pm and was told they close at 9, therefore we had to improvise and search elsewhere. The greeter (young female) could have given us choices and offered some recommendations but I guess that's asking too much and she didn't smile or seem happy so yeah. It was upsetting and it was on a Thursday night therefore my husband and can understand why they would close very early, in our opinion. So we googled maps and saw the Outback Steakhouse in the Acquarius casino and called first and they are Open til 11pm therefore; we drove there and was seated right away and the greeter she was very polite, greeted us with a smile and took us to our table. Our waitress, Rebecca, ordered our drinks and informed me that my Kiwi/Strawberry lemonade does not come with refills, which I appreciated the info., hubby ordered Raspberry tea and it was delicious per his comments. I ordered the Sirloin steak with grilled shrimp and both were delicious and 2 sides, which I ordered the blue cheese pecan salad and that was delicious and Mac N Cheese yummy. Hubby ordered Steak with potatoe with salad and was very pleased, both of us were happy with the tastiness of our meals. Rebecca kept bringing my husband tea refills and very attentive to us. We mentioned to her we were there celebrating our 39th Wedding Anniversary and she congratulated us and took a picture of us. Her waitress etiquette and friendliness was superb very pleasing and very attentive. It would have been icing on the cake if we were provided with a free dessert for our anniversary but I guess it is what it is. Overall, our experience here was great!!! We enjoyed it a lot and had a great time. I believe God is watching over us and all our Angels because everything else at Golden Nugget was closed and we had a great experience here at the Outback Steakhouse. Then hubby played $1.00 slot machine and won $150.00, cashed and returned to our hotel. My family and I like to go to Outback once a year when we're in Laughlin, but my boyfriend hadn't been in over a decade. Now he won't shut up about it. It's hard to believe there is not a current review left here by me. Apologies for the lack of photos. I'll update you on my next visit. I'm not sure where to start, I said I would be back, that's because I have eaten at this location for a long time. Being close and convenient makes this a simple, quick, and generally always good stop! I normally have fair service and even better food. Last night, I had a week old reservation for 11. Yes, I know lots of people. With a week notice and a discussion of location for seating, I was confident in my choice of dinner location. I pre checked in for my reservation 15 minutes early to let the team know we would start to gather to be mindful of time. After our reservation times came, I checked in. Followed by 3 additional check-ins at almost 20 minutes past my reservation time. I understand this location sees a lot of activity. However, with advanced notice and planning, I definitely feel that our needs weren't met last night. We were finally seated and shocked to find ourselves split up between tables and booths rather than the long pre determined table we discussed. How awkward to have to split husband's and children from their wife's/mom's on mother's day. It's not the waiters fault for the poor planning that happened. It is his fault. However , he met our frustration with attitude. With a quick response of " you can go back on the waiting.list and wait for a different spot," it was snarky and not cool. We took the seats, and once all split up, we lived through a rushed meal. The service was terrible. We were pushed waters than ignored. When he returned, he quickly started taking children's orders at a separate table before even offering us appetizers. We had to fight to get an appetizer not only ordered but then had to split and prep the in order to share with the table split off from us. which, by the way, was served dinner and bread at such a rapid rate from our table there was no feeling of togetherness. The team knew that we were not pleased and not once did the manager come check on our table, which generally he always does every time we visit. As I said the food is not the issue here. I do highly recommend the food. The Tawoomba Salmon in fantastic. The steaks are great. The lobster tail is totally worth it! Salad, soup , blooming onion, fried mushrooms all great!!! The new blooming onion with fries looks like overload to me. I can't go there. We tried the new steak cheese dip it was meh/ ok super stringy. Not like queso dip. the butter cake is very good and a great dessert choice. As I am often here, I feel confident I will eat here again and again. I know my simple needs will be met. Ok, so it's really the hostess and general attitude of the staff that brings this place down. I should've read the reviews first before committing to losing an hour of my life at this place. Don't get me wrong, at first, our experience was great, so this isn't a troll review. I ordered $80.00 worth of take out for my kids to bring back to the room where they ate with my in-laws. My wife and I wanted quiet time and a nice dinner and then some gaming time. We got the kids settled, got cleaned up and went downstairs at 830pm. The restaurant closed at 9pm...or so it was posted. When we get to the restaurant, the same hostess who greeted me with open arms for my $80.00 to go order was ambivalent and rude. She told me they closed. I asked her why they closed early since it was posted that they closed at 9pm. She left and I spoke to a server and asked if we could get seated. He said he was getting off shift and that it wouldn't be a problem and that he would tell another server inside. The hostess came back out and I told her that the server said we could be seated and that he was letting someone know inside. She said she had no idea who that server was and that they were closed (even though there were several customers who were just placing their order, WTH?). A manager then came out and said they were closed and refused to explain to me why they closed 30 minutes before closing time. So no dinner that night. I must be a glutton for punishment, so we tried again the next night. WE called ahead and asked if there was a wait. We were told no. We also made sure to go 1 hour before closing time. WE get there and then we're told there's no reservations available. You've got to be kidding me?! A manager heard my disgust and upset and agreed to sit us down at the bar. It must be where all the whiners and minorities go because when we got served, the restaurant was opening up and a black couple was seated at the bar, not a booth, not a table, but the bar. This has got to be discrimination... my wife and I felt bad for the black couple because they should have been given a table... the booths around us were open. SMH. I complained to the manager about the night before and she said that the server should not have promised a table and that the kitchen closes 15 minutes before the posted closing time. I then said to her why don't you change you closing time and she just smiled and walked away. That's it?! No I'm sorry, no customer service recovery?? Oh, as for the food, the steaks we ordered medium were well done, the bloomin onion was overcooked and appeared to have been cooked in dirty oil and salty. It's a pity we didn't go to the Aquarius Cafe first. We would have had better food and way better service. Someone at Outback should really look at the reviews and maybe a regional manager should run this place. Maybe the food, the hostesses, and attitude would be better. Oh, and take better care of minorities... I still can't help thinking about that black couple. It's 2021. They should have been given a table... read more
