When I commented on it when waitress finally came she had a hint of an attitude commenting they had to sing happy birthday to the table beside us. Sirloin with lobster Mac n cheese and loaded baked potato. Steak was charred on outside, cooked correctly medium well, but was a really tough cut of meat. The lobster mac and cheese was luke-warm as was the steak. I ate the potato and need to take the rest of meal home to heat it up before I finish it. Did not trust waitress to heat it up. Just moved to the area, and decided to try out the local outback. (What a mistake) After a short wait of about 10 minutes, we were seated at a greasy table with no silverware. We ordered our drinks right away, and after about 5 minutes the waitress returned with some stale pumpernickel bread and butter, with dishes - but still no silverware. 10 more minutes and 2 of our 4 drinks arrive. So my son and I sit there, with butter on our fingers, without drinks, silverware or napkins. Finally after about another 5 minutes our other 2 drinks arrive, with the cheese fries we ordered - which btw were so stone cold that the cheese on top had congealed into one, cool solid, non elastic, totally inedible mass with cold fries protruding at odd angles..silverware and napkins-STILL- nowhere in sight. When I asked the waitress where our silverware is, she tells us that they are probably still "rolling them"? Seriously...were they sent out to Taiwan to be rolled, and have yet to be shipped back? 5 more minutes latwr and finally our silverware arrives, along with mine and my wife's French onion soup, which was barely luke warm, and the cheese on top had already cooled to one solid mass. So I push the slab of cheese aside only to reveal a morass of brown, mudlike mush! Apparently the soup had sat around so long that the bread had broken down in the soup until it became a bowl of unpleast tasting mud. Revulsion and poor flavor won out and I skipped the mud and went for the cheese, which though was cold, seemed far more palatable than the brown mud-like soup, my tastbuds jumped for joy and I stuck a fork in the cheese blob ( the only thing with any decent flavor) and ate it, while leaving the brown mush behind, much to the everlasting relief of my stomach. 35 minutes later our entrees arrived...which only served to add insult to Injury to our vast disappointmen of a dunnert. My porterhouse and my sons filet mignon were completely raw, my broccoli was mushy and looked like someone threw it at the plate, and our mashed potatoes contained solid chunks of under cooked potato, while my wifes salmon and shrimp was vastly over salted and had an off odor- a telltale sign of a kitchen trying to cover up fish that's gone past its expiration and starting to smell. I send back our steaks and my wife sends back her entire meal, fully disgusted and preferring to avoid food poisoning, losing her appetite not wanting a replacement. 5 minutes later our steaks return STILL raw with the manager trying to say " that's the outback version or medium rare". She clearly doesn't know how to cook, or she wouldn't have argued with me, who's been cooking for decades, and eaten at some of the finest steakhouses in NYC. So we send them back a second time - me knowing this time it will be overcooked, and as predicted my steaK comes back well done. However my son's filet was well done about 1/4 In on both sides with some pink in the center - basically medium, not medium rare. My son is hungry so he eats it, I have had it and decide to throw in the towel and send it back telling them I'm done. The most irritating thing of the entire disaster of a meal was the manager, who clearly didnt know the first thing about cooking, keep trying say that my undercooked steak was "outback version" of medium rare. Wait what?? What happened to the outback chain, outback used to be a pretty good place to grab a steak, now no matter where they are, they tend to be awful? Idk if Darden corporate changed the Alice Springs Chicken base chicken to save costs, however it tasted like they put basic fajita seasoning on the chicken then added the accoutrement on top of some heated from frozen fajita chicken filet. We took advantage of call ahead seating and placed our name on the waiting list. The estimated time of wait was 10 minutes. We waited a bit longer; albeit, I think there was a rush around the time we arrived. Samples of blooming onion petals were distributed as we waited. The petals were warm yet the sauce was cold. Our party was three in total: my daughter, my mother and myself. My mother and I started with adult beverages. She enjoyed a cosmo and I had the blackberry sangria. The sangria featured a generous amount of fresh blackberries and the perfect amount of fizz effect. Frankly, these go down far too easy and I could've had a pitcher or more. Lol~ We scarfed down some pumpernickel bread while we waited for our meals and our waiter Richie was kind enough to keep fresh bread coming our way. He did a great job through our entire dining experience and was both attentive and friendly. My mother and I took advantage of the $15.99 four course meal deals and my daughter ordered the chicken finger platter. All of us enjoyed our meals and the servings were generous. My mom ordered the baked potato soup, house salad, grilled chicken on the barbie with a baked potato and the cheesecake with raspberry topping. She really enjoyed the soup and salad. She also enjoyed the barbecue sauce that accompanied her chicken breast. Her only gripe regarding her meal was she wished the cheesecake would've had more raspberry sauce, but stated it was tasty nonetheless. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup minus the cheese, blue cheese pecan chopped salad, a 6 ounce sirloin with steamed veggies and the restaurant was kind enough to swap out my slice of cheesecake for a chocolate parfait. Due to dairy sensitivities, I can't eat cheesecake. My soup arrived cold, but Richie reheated it for me at my request. It was flavorful and enjoyable without the cheese. The chopped salad is one of my faves and the pecans are never at a shortage. I ordered my sirloin rare. It arrived medium rare, but was good nonetheless. My steamed veggies were ordered without butter and arrived steamed to perfection. The squash was delectable! Finally, the chocolate parfait was simply to die for! This speaks volume because I'm not one to gravitate toward chocolate dessert. WOWZERS! The parfait paired with the Oreo chunks, chocolate syrup and whipped cream is heaven. Finally, my daughter carbed up with a chicken finger platter, mashed potatoes and French fries. She thoroughly enjoyed every bite. She completed her meal with the salted caramel cookie skillet. This was served hot in a mini skillet and the outer crust was pretty crisp. The cookie was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel syrup. Holy sweetness! If you're a sweet eater, this is your jam! She polished off all but the crisp outer cookie due to the fact it was a bit too hard for her liking. All in all, this was an extremely enjoyable meal complete with delicious food and excellent service by our server Richie. It had been years since we have been to an Outback. That was back in Maine, where we went multiple times. Finally we made it to one here in our new location. We waited 30 minutes for a table. We noticed there were tables available, but they were upfront about saying the delay was due to staffing, not full tables. Fine, a half hour isn't terrible for a Saturday night. A busy place means good food, right? I ordered a 22 ounce draft beer, which I never got, but I settled for the water I also had asked for. We started with the appetizer sampler. The cheese fries weren't very hot and rather ordinary, as were the Mac and cheese bites and the onion petals. Maybe we should have shared the Bloomin' Onion instead? We shared an order of the crab quesadilla, which was the best part of our meal. I ordered a baked potato and the skin was covered with way too much sea salt. I don't remember a restaurant ever ruining the skin, which is the best part we think. Plus I think they need to use russets for their baked potatoes and offer more generous toppings. My wife also ordered the chicken tortilla soup. She only ate a third of it and I ate the rest so as not to waste it. Hardly any chicken or tortilla - not memorable. So after making sure we weren't charged for the beer I didn't receive, we paid and left. The server was nice but not very knowledgeable. Maybe if we had gone with steak and smashed potatoes we would have fared better, but there are just too many good restaurants in the area for us to take a chance on this rather pricy place. read more

For the first time in our lives we used door dash for our out back order. We had no issues with door Dash, however, when our order arrived after paying $158 for a family meal, two of our ribeye steaks were so over cooked, that they were not even edible to us. I contacted the manager today, His name was Scott. And to tell you the truth, I could not have had a more pleasant experience taking care of our issue. Dinner looked good and came out correct. Waited around for the waitress again, took about 10/15 minutes but flagged down the same manager, again!! Ok, where to start. We checked in online at 6:15 for a 6:45 arrival. We got there at 6:35 and the people who were in front of us, who did not check in online were told they had a 35 min wait. I said we checked in online, we shouldn't have to wait as long as someone who didn't... oh, she goes. When you check in online, it doesn't put you in the active queue until you get here. I asked, then what is the purpose on on-line check in. She stood there dumbfounded with no answer. Oh, did I mention they the two hostess there were very rude? I probably should mention the food. It was no where up to par. I had the fillet medallions and shrimp. I asked for the steak to be med rare, there was zero pink in it. I was suppose to get a sauce with it, no sauce and when I told the waitress 15 mins later when she finally checked on us, she went to the back and came out 5 mins later with some. She told me they are officially out, but her friend had some stashed. Yeah, no. I did not use it. My girlfriend's prime rib was tough and her baked potato was not cooked all the way. We chose this restaurant to host a small business dinner because of it's location knowing that each of the Outback Steakhouse locations can vary in quality and service. As expected the food was consistent, my steak was typical of what I've experienced at other locations I've ever visited, the cut was just okay but cooked perfectly, the wedge salad on the other hand has become one of if not my favorite selection at Outback. Unfortunately the service was absolutely dismal -after being seated immediately upon entering the restaurant the apologies began starting with the hostess who was very polite and friendly I might add followed by a server who told us our server would be right with us followed by, well you know apology after apology then finally he showed and daunted us with his drama on how tired he was - we ordered our drinks and the wait began followed by more apologies and some BS explanation of how backed up the bar was (this place wasn't that busy believe me). Finally the warm beers arrived there was no doubt they sat for some time after being poured. Our salads arrived minus the balsamic glaze which arrived about 10 minutes afterwards which was no surprise to any of us. Then the show began -our server showed up without our entrées almost in tears dragging one leg behind the other explaining how he just tripped with a food tray and did the split in the kitchen area and went into exhausting detail of how it happened and that he wasn't sure he could continue this all while the other servers laughed and ribbed him on his non-acrobatic moves in the kitchen, un-fricking believable I know. Okay enough - the only conclusion I can arrive at is where was the restaurant manager, surely a performance of this magnitude didn't go unnoticed by the manager, I know the customers throughout the restaurant were amazed or appalled at this behavior... sorry not a fan of this location... read more

It has been a couple of years since we've gone to Outback, and we were sadly disappointed. The food quality was not the same as it used to be. I have dietary restrictions which include no wheat/gluten or dairy. Thankfully they have a gluten free menu, but when I asked for no butter on the asparagus I was told that could not be done. I then asked for broccoli with no butter, but it came out overdone and covered in butter. We waited for the rest of my daughters food, which did not come until after we were finished eating. Our waitress did not check on us while we were eating, so we were unable to request the rest of her food earlier. Also, there were shrimp tails in the steakhouse macaroni and cheese. Not actual shrimp, just pieces of the tail. Overall, it was not the best experience. Maybe it was just the day we went. I don't know that we will return to test that theory out. read more

I would be paying for my mom and myself. She doesn't hand us the individual checks. She says that she can only do one order at a time. What? At every other restaurant I've ever been to, the waitress is competent enough to figure out how to use a paper clip and attach the bill to the card. So, we wait. My 90 year old mother is getting impatient. I ask, repeatedly, for my check. She says that she can only do one order at a time. Every time that she takes someone's bill, she disappears to the back for 10 minutes She will stop and chat with people on the way. 2:30 comes along. My mom is getting impatient. We've been waiting for our check for over an hour. The waitress is camping out near the cash register, not even coming back to our table. She's messed up one of my cousin's check, and it's REALLY messed up . I try waving her down, but she won't come back to our table. My mom says, "let's just leave cash on the table, no tip, and get out of here." Another cousin goes back to check with the waitress. She had put our order on one of my cousin's bills. So, we leave cash on the table to pay for the tip. (I would have give her ZERO for her "service"), and leave. It is now 3:00. We had been waiting an HOUR AND A HALF AFTER OUR MEAL TO GET OUR CHECK. So, in summary, cold food, terrible service, incompetent ability to match up the order with the customer. No explanation of WHY we were waiting for an hour and a half to pay our bill. No apology, I will NEVER.GO.BACK.TO.OUTBACK.AGAIN. Didn't see the manager once during the meal. Didn't see the manager once trying to straighten out problems. My wife and I frequent our local Outback (40 east in Ocala) fairly often and 9 times out of 10 enjoy every aspect of eating there. The only issue we have outside of the main dishes would be related to the dessert offered with the special meals that combine and entree, side and salad for one price with a dessert afterwards. Normally the cheese cake individually is almost $10 by itself and is usually presented as a good sized piece (still not worth $10) but that's a choice you make if you decide to go with it, the cheese cake provided with the meal deal was about 3/4 less of the individually bought size and a disappointment as far as any expectation for a good sized piece. I hoped for more with such an offer and now hope that Outback would realize that the more you go out of your way to make customers happy instead of thinking your just being super cheap, the more they will come back and spread the word about your willingness to be that restaurant that appreciates and caters to your customers in a way that says "Thank you for choosing us". read more

We called ahead for seating and were told to be there at 2:15. We arrived on time and told there was a 10-15 minute wait (even though the majority of tables were empty)so we decided to wait at the bar.
