However, after tonight, going elsewhere, as didn't feel welcomed at all, in addition to our waitress never seeing how our meal was (which one meal was over cooked). It wasn't even that busy. Had asked for salt and pepper when the salads were delivered but didn't receive until well into our meals. Had to ask for additional bread twice before getting it. Actually had empty drinks and had to ask for refills. that has NEVER happened at any other Outback and I have been to ones in Canada, hawaii and around the other states. A big shout out to our wonderful servers this past Christmas Eve! They expertly dealt with my "spirited" and large Italian family. This particular year we decided to go out for Christmas Eve dinner and NOT for Italian food. We were able to make a reservation with no trouble a few weeks prior (recommended for a major holiday). They sat us about half an hour early with no problems. I enjoyed my food for the evening: - The Bloomin' Onion was exactly the tasty fried goodness I remembered..just don't eat too much of it! - Their version of bruschetta was refreshing, but there needs to be more than 3 little toast points for that whole bowl of mozzarella and tomato. Thankfully, the kitchen was more than happy to bring the table more toast for the app. - Loved the spices on the Grilled Chicken on the Barbie. A little on the salty side - which is what I would expect at a large chain - but it was super satisfying. - The most important part of my holiday meal was, of course, the wine! This Outback Steakhouse is in a confusing location. I actually missed the turn once and went out onto Route 17, so I had to turn around at the next intersection to get back here. It is not in the same area as the Galleria. It is next to a hotel and is accessible only by going through the hotel parking area and around the hotel. Some signs would've been helpful. From the moment we walked in it was the BEST! Our waitress Jen was amazing and very friendly too. I ordered the prime rib with their Mac n cheese and sweet potato. I can not explain the magic happening in my mouth with every bite. Hubby got the salmon and mixed veggies he said it was the best salmon he has had in awhile. We've been fans of Outback for many years, and have never had a bad experience at this location, until the last one. This place is sliding. The blooming onion was over cooked, my wife ordered a lobster tail and filet mignon. Both of which were chewy. We expected the lobster to be frozen and as such be a little on the chewy side, it is after all, a steak house. The filet was rubbery and difficult to cut. Not how a filet should be prepared at all. The manager agreed and offered to comp her meal, we refused. My meal was good, the steak, I suspect was frozen, but can't confirm. The garlic mashed potatoes were slightly on the dry side and lacking in garlic-y flavor. We will go back, but only because on the way out the manager gave us a gift card and apologized for the filet again. I suspect if they compel the kitchen staff to care just a little more, the place can be good again. read more

I was appalled by the service from the head manager Ashley. Her customer service is questionable. I ordered from curb side and after the call went unanswered, I was forced to hang up and call back, at which point Ashley answered. I ordered my meal and upon its arrival none of the dressings that I asked for were in the bag. Not really worrying about it I called back and informed the person on the other line that some items were left out of my bag and would they mind bringing what I need back to me. I was placed on hold and when it was picked back up, it was Ashley ready for the fight. She became very aggressive and said that she took the order and I never asked for my sauce. Hello.....just so you know the crab stacker comes with a sauce. Once she figured that out she said something to someone and then came back to the line to tell me that I never asked for the other sauce. OHHH COME ON!!!! I told her I did and perhaps she didn't hear me. She began to insist that I never asked. Now as a manager of a business wouldn't you just say "I apologize for the inconvenience, let us bring that right over to you." I had to stop her by saying "ok Ashley, rather than go back and forth with you while a portion of my food gets cold, could you just send someone with whats missing." After missing items were brought back to me, the curb side staff apologized, I said "no problem, however who ever Ashley is was very rude, and needs a lesson in customer service." Apparently the server went back and gave my message because I got a phone call from Ashley at my place of employment, apologizing for her behavior with a but..... I had to stop her in her track and say "Ashley you were calling with an apology so I will take that and I don't need to hear anything else, have a good night." This outback is the best chain restaurant in the area hands down. The staff there is extremely nice. The service was awesome. The food was fantastic, but that goes without saying. Went to Texas road house in Middletown ny only to find they closed at 7 so we came to Outback Steakhouse and met BRYCE ! I'm 28 and never met a host like him today was my girlfriend's birthday and he made it one of the best experiences we ever had dining ! I told BRYCE next time I come back I need to see him wearing that MANAGER TITLE !!! give BRYCE his own store to run you WONT regret it . RUN, don't walk away from this place! There was a wait, we put our names in and calmly waited for our table. After being told 20 minutes and we were waiting 30 minutes my husband asked how soon, we were told 5 more minutes. AFTER 1 HOUR Waiting, we were finally seated. After waiting forever for the table we knew what we wanted. When the server came up we promptly gave her our orders which included an appetizer. After waiting almost 30 minutes for said appetizer, we asked how much longer for it and she informed us she didnt have an order for an appetizer. The whole place is a shit hole. Bartenders not acknowledging you as you stand at the bar. I watched other patrons have issues as well. Stay away from this place! I am also a server and I've worked in HIGH VOLUME facilities, these places are shit holes and tonight was a reminder why we stay away. Such a silly thing! I went into Outback this evening while on a business trip. A waiter promptly brought me raspberry tea which I hadn't ordered. I figured it was complimentary. I found out later when I ordered unsweetened iced tea that it was brought to me by mistake. Then I asked for Sweet and Low for my tea. The waiter left and I didn't see him for a while. I went to the bar and asked a waitress there if I could have some Sweet and Low. She looked behind the bar, said that there was none there, and then asked me where I was seated. "I'll get it and bring it to you." She never came. Finally, I stopped another waiter and asked for Sweet and Low. He brought it to me after 3 asks. Later, when I was out of tea, my waiter said he would bring me some more. And then - perhaps 10 minutes later - he finally did. It was an odd example of poor customer service around a beverage! I really would like to give this restaurant a better rating because on the two occasions I was here it was clean, the staff was nice, and my servers were amazing. However, both times the food made me sick. The first time I went here was well over a year ago, I ordered a burger. I did not like it from the first bite, but I figured I ordered it, just eat it. I got about half way through and just could not finish. My server offered to take it back and bring me something else but that plus the appetizers would have been too much. Oh well. I went here again last night. My server was super sweet and made sure everything was right the whole night. I ordered the lobster tacos. They were good, but about thirty minutes after I left the restaurant I felt super sick. Could not even eat breakfast this morning because I still felt ill. I should have read the Yelp reviews first. We haven't been to an Outback for years, but our 11 year old daughter picked this restaurant for her bday dinner. Big mistake. Just to preface this review, it was 5 pm and the place was empty. My husband and I both ordered Grey goose martinis, paid extra for the Grey goose BTW and when it arrived at our table 20 minutes later, it was warm, minus the olives and certainly not Grey goose vodka. 3 of us ordered burgers which were good and my daughter had the Clam Chowder which she liked as well. I asked for additional bread to go with her soup 3 times and waters for my husband and myself twice. My son's burger had no fries and when I asked our waiter he said they must've run out.?? I asked for iced tea refills for my kids and 20 minutes later, the waiter brought cokes. Our waiter apologized every time he came to the table but did nothing to make the situation any better. I don't want to remove the stars from my previous review I wrote like a week ago...but I have to. I recently rated them for excellent food and service and gave them 5 stars. And guess what....we just visited Outback on Sunday again...a family of 8 for our family member birthday and I was sadly disappointed. I was disappointed with their increase in pricing and the bad changes in their menus. The french onion soup was always $5 or $5.50 for a bowl and now is $6.29 ?!? For the same small bowl of soup? It is really too much ! Before you could get a regular dinner ( Outback Special ) for like $16-$18 that included all 3 items on your plate, Steak, potatoes (fries, baked potato or mash potatoes) and either a choice of small salad or steamed veggies...! But before you got all 3 on your plate. Now they got tricky and they give you only the meat or a fish and one side - potatoes or veggies. No more the 3rd side !!! I said what ??? Are you kidding me? There are many other restaurants you can eat a full dinner at for $18 where they give you a steak or fish and 2 sides ( 3 things all together ). What a bad place this place has became ! So to show them how cheap they got, I ordered my Firecracker Salmon and took only one side that came with it ( steamed veggies ) and I told them what they did and what I think about that... The waiter said that I was right and he doesn't like the new managers ideas either and doesn't like the manager as a person himself. So here they are...going from 5 stars I gave them before...to only 1 star for price fixing and menus manipulating! They want additional $4 for a 3rd side with your dinner! What a rip off ! We want be back any time soon till they revert the menus to what it was... I will also tell all my friends and employees not to eat at Outback for what they did. As a result of that they will lose some customers and maybe then the new manager will open his eyes ! read more
