    Dirty plates
    Kaitlyn J.

I went for dinner on Sunday night with some friends, and while we were seated relatively quickly, the experience went downhill from there. The restaurant was almost empty, yet we were placed directly next to another party, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable given all the open tables. Throughout the entire meal, there was constant loud talking coming from the kitchen, which completely killed the dining atmosphere. We could hearing cussing and full conversations. To make things worse, the wait staff dropped a plate on my friend and were super rushed with each interaction. Our dirty plates were never cleared until we specifically asked--after our entrées had already arrived. For an Outback, this was one of the poorest experiences I've had. Dinner when there was one another party in the whole restaurant, took TWO hours!! Definitely wouldn't recommend this location for a casual dinner, and it's absolutely not suitable for a date night.

Oct. 5, 2025 , visited the restaurant and to my surprise everything went as expected. As someone who travels a lot and is a foodie, the food, service, and ambiance were outstanding to my surprise. Our server Diego, was outstanding, professional and his hospitality was excellent towards our group. Diego made sure that all was going well and the manager did also dropped by to make sure all was going well. I have been to this restaurant a number of times and also had an excellent experience towards their staff. My hat goes off to Diego and the staff at Outback Steakhouse. If you want someone to assist you when you eat, ask for Diego you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Diego for your kindness!

Having worked in the service industry for some time I really appreciate what it means to provide great service. That being said, our server Riley was EXTREMELY kind to my grandmother and I for my birthday. He brought the staff to sing me a happy birthday song and a cake which made me feel really special- but he was also attentive & efficient. The service truly made the impression and I hope he is blessed with either a raise or bonus soon because you just don't find authentic service like this often. Go visit him!

Taste: 5/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 We hadn't been to Outback Steakhouse in years and we were very impressed by this recent visit. We came on a Friday night around 7PM and were seated immediately. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all delicious and the presentation was impressive. Many of the menu items have adorable names that go with the Australian theme that I enjoyed reading (e.g. The Wallaby Darned, Pina Koala). Good portion sizes and flavors. Look out for deals to get an affordable meal, when we went they had 3-course meal for $16.99. They also have $7 cocktails and a cute $10 margarita (Boomarita) flight option.

My friends and I decided to dine at outback since none of us have ever tried it. It was one of their birthdays and we were here to have a mini celebration. It was quite empty when we came since it was Tuesday. We were seated quickly as we walked in but the service was slow and the server informed us there was a shortage on many items. We were not able to order the cocktails we wanted but ended up ordering the castaway cocktail which was delicious. We waited quite a bit for food and didn't get our bread until later on. (I do recommend ordering chocolate sauce with your bread. The bread is not great but the chocolate sauce makes up for it.) For the price of the ribeye and shrimp it was not worth it. The cut of our steak was mostly all fat and there was not a lot of shrimp. My friend was served a little birthday sundae before the bill was served. The waiter gave us a candle and sang happy birthday. I am hoping I get a better experience than my first when I come back.

Outback standards have gone downhill. We came to this location for lunch and had the ceasar salad as our side with the meatloaf and the bloomin fried chicken for the lunch specials. I took a photo of what the food is supposed to look like. This is just plain disgusting what was served. We spoke with the team member in charge at the time, and he went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you, Christian. Outback corporate - this is not acceptable and is a reason the brand is going downhill.

Good service, ambiance and food that is consistent with this well-known chain. Moderate portions so you won't feel overloaded and a variety of items on the menu. There is a private parking lot and several adjacent parking lots for overflow in this plaza. This Outback Steakhouse is in front of the dollar tree and goodwill in the BJ's/Lowe's plaza near Alafaya Trail and Lake Underhill.

It has definitely been a few years since I've been to Outback. We would go down in Ft Lauderdale with my parents but since I moved them up here and it was my dad's birthday.. it definitely was blooming onion time! Let's be honest most of us have been to Outback Steakhouse and know this restaurant is Australian themed. I am lucky enough to have been to Australia so I love it! This particular location is special to me. I remember when it was built and would go there often to drink at the bar and hang out. Our server was Mariela and she was incredible. Kept coming by checking on us, so nice and friendly, very on point. We ordered the blooming onion as an appetizer. Man that is good! No denying it is a perfect appetizer. Everyone at the table ordered steaks (which were cooked to perfection). Except for me, I ordered the blooming chicken sandwich. Wow it was good. It was a breaded chicken sandwich and the batter was.. ready for it.. blooming onion. So good. Perfect taste. Would order this again and again. Just writing the review now, I am craving it Great experience and love this place so I will probably come back soon just for the sandwich

Outback Steakhouse built itself a name decades ago and I remember the buzz about that chain. Perhaps it is with rose colored glasses that I recall those visits of old or that the chain (or at least this particular location of Outback Steakhouse) has allowed their quality to denigrate into the level where it stands today. Service is ok. However, quality control has gone out the window. I am not one to return food, however on one trip there, my steak was brought to me literally raw. Not once, not twice, but three times. The third time, it was at least somewhat cooked, so I dealt with it, though the rest of my party had already eaten. I could understand once, but twice and on the third time, the manager himself said he would make it come out right. Well, he did not succeed. In their favor, while I waited they brought me a soup and did not charge me for the steak. But still, how does this happen? This was the worse experience I had here, but I really cannot say that I had any positive experiences at this location. My niece was a fan of the Blooming Onion (by the way, I believe that Outback Steakhouse was the first of the chains that introduced this iconic appetizer to their menu. The other mid-level steakhouses all came up with the same appetizer with just a different name) so we came here several times and it was just never anything positive, at least for me. Perhaps it is just me, the restaurant is still popular. But I have just never cared for here and in good conscience cannot recommend it. This particular Outback Steakhouse is on Lake Underhill Road in the same shopping center as B.J.'s Wholesale Club and Lowes. It is also close to the Harley-Davidson dealership. The location is convenient, but that alone cannot give me any justification to recommend here.

The restaurant was full of guests dressed to impress and speaking in hushed tones. All the steaks and chops around the room looked amazing with great aroma. The lighting is dim, but the large windows let in a lot of light to read menus. I recommend a table for two by the big windows overlooking the pool (and 9pm fireworks) or a comfy booth along the wall with the same view. We appreciated the perfect timing and temperature of our dishes. Our amuse bûche was a yummy ceviche packed with seafood. I would definitely order it if on the menu. The crudo appetizer was a standout dish - so fresh and flavorful, and beautifully presented. My smooth, delicious, piping hot sherry-infused lobster bisque was poured over a sizable slice of lobster, at the table. My dining partner was impressed with the delicious taste and temp of their Iberico Chop. I adored my perfectly seared and moist sea bass with fluffy gnocchi in a decadent, rich and creamy mushroom sauce (I substituted sea bass for escargot). The large, indulgent lobster mac side dish was an excellent compliment to both mains. It was flavorful with plenty of lobster; and the delicious crust on top would make amazing cheese crisps. Servers walked around with a variety of fresh, warm, yummy breads -- though 14 Prime breads in Jax taste better. The arrival of the crème brûlée flambée was reminiscent of a bananas foster presentation in NOLA. Unfortunately, the flames were the most interesting aspect of the crème brûlée. Flavor was not particularly special, and chocolate at the bottom tasted like pudding. Dessert was just 'ok' at Bull & Bear & Oscar's. Another small nitpick was the lack of black napkins for black outfits. Service was professional, yet approachable. Servers gave great recommendations without unnecessary upselling. They worked in teams, so there was always someone available to assist. Open 6-10pm daily, our reservation secured the table all night -- no rushing to turn tables over for the next guest. Some dishes include table side preparation, so prices reflect showmanship (e.g., lobster bisque poured at the table; table side César salad preparation; meat board & Dover sole table side deboning and plating; crème brûlée served in flames; strawberry ice cream created table side). We look forward to returning again and again.

Our server was awesome and truly made the meal more enjoyable. I'm hard of hearing, and when they noticed I was struggling, they kindly relocated us to a quieter spot in the corner where I could actually hear my wife. That kind of attentiveness means the world. Throughout the evening, our server was helpful and engaging, and started us off with some bread for the table. It seemed fresh baked with a crisp crust and wonderfully soft in the middle. For our entrées, we had the Chilean Sea Bass, which absolutely melted in our mouths, and the 10oz center-cut filet, which was perfectly cooked to order with no fat or tendons -- just pure quality. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of that kitchen. They finished our meal by bringing out a special plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, a chocolate cookie, and banana foster. It was beautifully presented, and that banana foster was fantastic! We will definitely consider ordering a full-sized one on our next visit. It's clear the staff takes their work very seriously - hearing about the specials almost felt like a sales pitch - and the atmosphere is meant to be upscale and well executed. I recognize that as a vegetarian, I am nowhere near the target market for this menu. That being said, I found my entree and the bar's available ingredients lackluster, but the sides and dessert were delicious. The bread, glossed with butter and very fluffy, was divine. The waiter took my drink order, I asked for some options for a cocktail that were off menu that he'd have to check on, then the rest of my table got their drinks 15 minutes later, and I was told what I ordered wasn't possible. Not sure why drinks took so long or why I wasn't notified sooner, as this made our pacing a little odd. I ordered a blood orange heavy cocktail off the surprisingly short menu, and it was just ok - not a mix of flavors I'd normally go for, and very punchy. The greenery sprig was a visually appealing touch though, although it was a bit heavy handed on my neighbor's drink. My salad was yummy, with an interesting addition of potato chip like curls. The red wine that was ordered for the table was one of the best red wines I've ever had, very enjoyable, and I never normally like reds. The wine selection seems vast here - the menu is a true binder - and some options go over $2k for a bottle, so even the most extravagant tastes will find something they like here. My waiter gave me the tiniest bit of attitude upon finding out I was a vegetarian. Listen, sir, I didn't pick the restaurant, I know I don't belong here - yeesh. He did inform me that a cauliflower steak option was available, which I took him up on, but it was not listed on the menu anywhere. They should really add it to be more inclusive of all types of diets - it's 2026, you need to offer an entree that isn't meat, even if you're a steak and seafood restaurant. I'm never really that impressed with a cauliflower steak from anywhere, but this was one of the most bland I've ever had. It wasn't filling and the sauce had barely any salt or flavor to it - very lackluster. The desserts were amazing - I forget what we ordered other than the Creme Brulee topped with macarons and Butter Cake (OMG! WOW!), but everything I tried was yummy. It was a pretty busy spring Thursday night when I visited, but everything seemed to take quite a while to come out. A friend was dining separately at another table, and when we bumped into each other in the bathroom while waiting for apps, we both remarked on how long it was taking for food and drinks to come out. The atmosphere was also a bit chaotic - we had to wait in a cramped, awkward entry hallway for 10 minutes past our reservation time, which was a weird way to start the dining experience- they need a better waiting area. It was also very loud in here, which is not what I'd expect for such an upscale place - I could barely hear people across the table from me. It cheapened the overall feel. The price points are certainly impressive if you're wanting to come here to impress a date or business partner. Some bits were excellent, but the entree fell short for me. If you're getting what they specialize in, you'll probably have a better experience, but you'll also be waiting quite a while. I feel like the only person I know that isn't raving about this place, and although it puts on quite the show, there's some room for improvement. I WILL be dreaming about that bread and the salad's potato curls, though....
