He offered to start us off with an alcoholic beverage and gave some recommendations. I had a blackberry martini my choice. It had been a while since I have nine outback, so of course I had to start off with the bloomin' onion. Just as I remember it super flavorful and I love the outback sauce it comes with. Since it was Tuesday, I did the Tuesday Tails special, which is the 6 ounce center cut sirloin, a lobster tail and a choice of two sides. I chose to start off with a wedge salad as one of my sides and then broccoli with my entrée. Wow, I must say it was one of the best wedge salads I've ever had crispy lettuce, love the amount of blue cheese, and tomatoes; just wish there would've been a little bit more bacon! When my entree came out everything was hot and fresh. My steak was cooked to perfection at a medium. I will just warn that if you're not one that likes a lot of seasoning on your steak, I would go light on the seasoning. But other wise the steak and lobster tail were both hot and so yummy. This was such a great deal - $24.99 (price varies, pending on sides and upgrades). I enjoyed my experience at this location after not having dined in an Outback in a while. Stopped by for a quick appetizer and drink after grocery shopping at BJ's I'm the same plaza. I sat at the bar, no wait time. It's pretty spacious with plenty of seating. The TVs play we're playing sports. My waitress was very polite and attentive right away. I started with a Top Shelf 'Rita. It was ok. Lacking flavor. Not sure if there was any Grand Marnier as advertised. Maybe it was me. I decided to try a Blackberry Margarita. YUM! Made up for what ever I thought I was missing. I also ordered wings, medium. I went for dinner on Sunday night with some friends, and while we were seated relatively quickly, the experience went downhill from there. The restaurant was almost empty, yet we were placed directly next to another party, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable given all the open tables. Throughout the entire meal, there was constant loud talking coming from the kitchen, which completely killed the dining atmosphere. We could hearing cussing and full conversations. To make things worse, the wait staff dropped a plate on my friend and were super rushed with each interaction. Our dirty plates were never cleared until we specifically asked--after our entrées had already arrived. For an Outback, this was one of the poorest experiences I've had. Dinner when there was one another party in the whole restaurant, took TWO hours!! Definitely wouldn't recommend this location for a casual dinner, and it's absolutely not suitable for a date night. read more

Had not been to Outback in years because they had gone downhill. Decided to try it on Veteran's Day since they had a nice Veteran's deal. It was me, my wife, and my fellow veteran FIL. We made reservations and didn't have to wait too long after we arrive to be seated. Despite it being VERY crowded, our sever was great and had a fantastic attitude. The food was great and they seem to have overcome their past issues. It looks like they have updated the dining room a bit from the last time we were there for the better. My friends and I decided to dine at outback since none of us have ever tried it. It was one of their birthdays and we were here to have a mini celebration. It was quite empty when we came since it was Tuesday. We were seated quickly as we walked in but the service was slow and the server informed us there was a shortage on many items. We were not able to order the cocktails we wanted but ended up ordering the castaway cocktail which was delicious. We waited quite a bit for food and didn't get our bread until later on. (I do recommend ordering chocolate sauce with your bread. The bread is not great but the chocolate sauce makes up for it.) For the price of the ribeye and shrimp it was not worth it. The cut of our steak was mostly all fat and there was not a lot of shrimp. My friend was served a little birthday sundae before the bill was served. The waiter gave us a candle and sang happy birthday. I am hoping I get a better experience than my first when I come back. read more

Outback standards have gone downhill. We came to this location for lunch and had the ceasar salad as our side with the meatloaf and the bloomin fried chicken for the lunch specials. Order outback for take out and wow it was amazing. My meal was delicious as if I was eating in the restaurant. Everything tasted freshly cooked and well seasoned. I ordered the Bloomin' Fried Shrimp as an appetizer and was honestly scared they would not taste good for take out. Once we tried them we could not stop eating them, they were great. We would go down in Ft Lauderdale with my parents but since I moved them up here and it was my dad's birthday.. it definitely was blooming onion time! Outback Steakhouse built itself a name decades ago and I remember the buzz about that chain. Perhaps it is with rose colored glasses that I recall those visits of old or that the chain (or at least this particular location of Outback Steakhouse) has allowed their quality to denigrate into the level where it stands today. Service is ok. However, quality control has gone out the window. I am not one to return food, however on one trip there, my steak was brought to me literally raw. Not once, not twice, but three times. The third time, it was at least somewhat cooked, so I dealt with it, though the rest of my party had already eaten. I could understand once, but twice and on the third time, the manager himself said he would make it come out right. Well, he did not succeed. In their favor, while I waited they brought me a soup and did not charge me for the steak. But still, how does this happen? This was the worse experience I had here, but I really cannot say that I had any positive experiences at this location. My niece was a fan of the Blooming Onion (by the way, I believe that Outback Steakhouse was the first of the chains that introduced this iconic appetizer to their menu. The other mid-level steakhouses all came up with the same appetizer with just a different name) so we came here several times and it was just never anything positive, at least for me. Perhaps it is just me, the restaurant is still popular. But I have just never cared for here and in good conscience cannot recommend it. This particular Outback Steakhouse is on Lake Underhill Road in the same shopping center as B.J.'s Wholesale Club and Lowes. It is also close to the Harley-Davidson dealership. These days with our new normal thanks to Covid-19 and restaurants getting their bearings, ordering carryout and it being on time hasn't always been the case. However, these people were on top of it and my order was ready for the time I selected online. As soon as I pulled up there were parking spots designated for curbside and carryout. A young man wearing a mask saw me pull in and went inside to grab my food right away. As for the food, it was delicious. I'm the kind of person who orders appetizers for meals and the Coconut Shrimp and Mac & Cheese balls didn't disappoint. The shrimp was perfectly breaded and didn't have too much coconut and the marmalade it came with for dipping was tasty and not overly sweet. Let me begin by stating that our server did a very good job. We do not dine at Outback often so this was a treat. We ordered a blooming onion which arrived quickly and was very tasty. For our main dish my wife and I split a 12oz sirloin medium with baked potato and broccoli. When the steak arrived we cut it in half and found the steak to be cooked beyond what I would consider medium well. Our server had us place it on a separate dish and took it back to get a new one. We continued to eat the potato and broccoli. Half was through my side of the potato I found a black pebble to be in my bite. Initially I thought it may have been a tooth filling but after visiting the restroom, I confirmed it was not. The steak arrived and was delivered to our table by a manager. I took this opportunity to show him the finding in my potato and explain what had happened. The manager did not appear to believe that the black hard small pebble was found in the potato but took it back to the kitchen. I ate half the steak, but my wife was not hungry any longer as we had been there for 2 hours so we boxed our remaining food. When we went to pay, 2 steak dinners were on the bill, but one had been discounted. Our blooming onion (which we did not have an issue with) was also discounted. Our server informed us the manager had removed the blooming onion from our bill. Although I was grateful for the reduced price I would have thought the plate which there were multiple issue with would have been removed from the bill in lieu of the cheapest item. Furthermore we only ordered one steak so it appeared as though they charged us for 2 so they could discount it to say they did something there (which was not the case). We left rather confused and disappointed in the compensation. We wrote an email questioning the double billing for the steak with no response currently. read more

What a wonderful privilege it was to have dinner out with my family last night after months of being shut in. Our family of nine was split up in two groups to meet COVID 19 guidelines. All staff had face masks and gloves on, menus were paper versus the usual laminated ones. Seating was spread out throughout the dining area. We shared a blooming onion and ordered our dinners. For me outback it's my pick-me-up place, I like to go there for comfort, I know what to order and that I always would like it. Outback is definitely My comfort food, and I like to go when I'm feeling kind of down, and it makes me happy. I usually order the sirloin steak with the chicken tortilla soup, and one their baked potatoes. I have visited this location a handful times now since I moved to the Waterford lakes area, and I have to say that the service has been excellent. It's a fairly typical chain sit-down restaurant. You know that the second you decide to go. You aren't doing luxury, you are doing efficient & satisfactory! Our visit was both efficient and satisfactory. It was the middle of the week and I wanted a steak, but didn't want to have to go buy one and come home and grill it. That's laziness on my part and I will own that. The service was really good. Our drinks were never empty and he stopped by several times to check on us in a very polite and non-aggressive manner. There bread is delicious and fresh. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and I do really appreciate that. They were a bit fatty (especially since mine was NY Strip) and the seasoning was bland. I won't dismiss the fact that they were cooked EXACTLY as ordered, though. That's great for a chain. I don't usually use steak sauce (unless it's the house special blend or something really cool) but I got some after the first couple of bites. This needed some help on flavor. I think the worst part of chain stores like this aren't the places themselves, but obnoxious folks that flock to them. The Jerkersons sat next to us and their 4 kids were flinging food on the floor, screaming, and generally being rotten. The Doofmeisters sitting in the booth behind us were fighting with each other, loudly playing videos on their phones, and very rude to their server. There were probably 20 wonderful families in there, but every chain you go to seems to have a version of the Jerkersons & Doofmeisters.
