The Outback is not what it was in the early 1990's when the first started popping up. With that said, compared to today's competitors, they provide a solid product at a fair price. Their 3 course dinner special is a good value. Overall, I would recommend that you check out the Outback. Also, in my opinion, they have one of the best wedge salads out there. Their balsamic drizzle puts it over the top!

We are a BIG meat eating family and decided to give outback a try. All 3 of us had steak - different types and cooked at different doneness- and all 3 were perfect. Cesar salad is good, i had sweet baked potato which I loved, our daughter had French fries (yum!) and THE BEST part for our daughter is the "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under". She's pretty obsessed with it and asks to go to Outback for it. We'll oblige, we live the steak and great service! Oh! And don't forget the $7 cocktails- spicy and classic margaritas were good- and the options for wines by the glass is pretty good too. The restaurant overall is ample, has both booths and tables, the bar area is nice too I haven't been there for happy hour but seems pretty good price-wise and they have many apps options

Outback Steakhouse is a long-standing, moderate priced steakhouse that embraces a pseudo-Australian mindset and theme. I say pseudo-Australian because the chain started in March of 1988 with its first location in Tampa, Florida. I am assuming that with the phenomenal success of the movie "Crocodile Dundee," which came out in 1986 and peaked America's interest in Australia, the owners of that first location decided that an Australian-themed restaurant would be perfect. In case you are too young too really remember "Crocodile Dundee," the movie was the second highest grossing film in 1986 and inspired two sequels. Anyway, Outback Steakhouse built itself into a global empire and I believe that they did eventually open locations in Australia. I have not been to Outback in quite awhile, but tonight it was the choice for dinner. Let me state that it was not my idea, but I was game. I went with the filet mignon and since I am trying to drop a few pounds after a very indulgent holiday season, I opted to bypass a potato and instead went with their chili and their broccoli for my sides. I did get it to-go and for the most part there was no issues in getting the food as a to-go order. The filet mignon did not come across as a very good grade of beef. Maybe it was USDA Choice, but both mine and my dining companion said that the meat was "nervy" and I will.also say that I wish that it had a bit of a crust on the surface of the steak. We both also asked for our steaks to be medium rare and both were cooked rare and it barely got to the rare stage. The broccoli was steamed and nothing bad and the chili was okay. While Outback Steakhouse is definitely a moderate priced steakhouse, these dishes were about thirty dollars each and my total bill was sixty-three dollars and change before a tip. I would hope that the food could have been better prepared than what they offered in both the quality of the meat and the skill in their cooking the food definitely could have been better. I was between giving them either two or three stars and I will grade up to three stars.

Service was great. Thank you, Angel. I tried the Bloomin' Chicken sandwich. The cook was good and the crispy crust was delicious. The chicken breast seemed oddly small and out of proportion to expectations.

Outback did a great job accommodating our group of 14 celebrating several college graduations. They seem well equipped to handle big groups by pushing a bunch of tables together to fit everyone. Our server was awesome and some how kept track of everything and everyone. We started things off with several orders of cheese fries, a bloomin onion or two and some fried shrooms. I stayed away from all this fried goodness but the others did a good job wiping those out. I just sipped on my cab but would have preferred a beer. I was tempted by the Foster's oil can but was concerned it was too much. Not seeing any IPAs, I selected a red wine instead which went well with my steak. The entrees were across the board for us. My Dad got shrimp on the barbie which he enjoyed but commented that he would have liked them served in the stick. My wife got the sirloin and shrimp combo with steamed veggies. Looks like they had extras as she got a plateful of them. I got the 12oz ribeye as did my brother in law. I paired mine with asparagus for a slight upcharge. My cut was pretty fatty and not the best. The asparagus was over cooked and a little blackened. Despite being disappointed with my meal, the overall experience for us was great.

Prime rib pulled off the bun.

Have not been here in years and decided to go for lunch. Ordered a prime rib sandwich. The meat on the sandwich looked like it came off a Swans truck and microwaved. It was gray like the photo. The aujus was cold. Just was not worth the price. Below is what I had on the left and on the right was what I expected. When one thinks of prime rib they think of imperfect slices of red meat not some processed gray meat.

Oviedo not offering Pittsburgh Charr . Feels like you're cutting into rubber

The service is always perfect , no matter which location we visit . We were super excited to see one open in Oviedo on Lockwood Blvd . We have been multiple times but ..... Them not offering Pittsburgh Charr on their steaks has made us go back to Waterford . My husband thought I was always crazy til we went back to Waterford this evening and he definitely tasted the difference .

The outside of the building isn't much to look at. Some might pass by, we didn't. I rated the Cattle Ranch 4 stars but if 3.5 was allowed, it would be my choice. We were greeted right away and was seated. The inside of the building needs a refresh even more than the outside. However, the restaurant was busy, families eating, people laughing, sometimes the locals know, it's one of the locally owned restaurants, not a chain. This is a good sign. I'm all in on the local, hole in the wall places. Our Server and our service was excellent. Good menu, plenty of choices and the eight of us had just about everything, Porterhouse, Ribeyes, fillets, burgers, salads. Food was very good, no complaints, ample amounts on sides. Rest rooms were also in need of a refresh but the were working. All in all and after our experience we would return.

One of my favorite things about it is that it hasn't changed much over the years, but in the best way. It's family-run, the vibe is comfortable and familiar, and the staff has always been amazing. We've had countless dinners here with big groups (10+ people), and they deliver every single time. That kind of consistency is rare. What I order every single visit: Salad with house dressing, it's honestly one of my favorite dressings anywhere. Loaded Buckskins - You have to get these. Think a cross between a steak fry and a potato wedge, loaded with cheese and bacon, addictively good. Petite strip steak - Perfect portion, cooked and seasoned just right every time. Simple, consistent, and exactly what you want. They also bring out warm brown bread with your meal that just hits, and a side of applesauce that I've come to think of as the perfect little palate cleanser, such a simple touch, but it makes the experience feel even more classic. This is one of those places that feels like home. No frills, no trends, just really good food, great people, and decades of consistency. This will absolutely be a staple for me as long as I live in Sanford.

We also tried the quesadillas and sliders on the happy hour menu. Both dishes tasted incredible! Sadly, though the happy hour has half priced apps, the plates are also half sized. They were absolutely delicious, but the dishes felt overpriced for the portion size. As for drinks, I tried the sangria flight. I wasn't expecting such a full portion size and was pleasantly surprised with that. I did, however, only find 2 of the 4 drinks to be especially tasty. I wouldn't order that flight again, but would be interested in their wine offerings. I loved the low lighting in the space as it set such a calm and laid back mood. This location is actually big so there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered brisket, baked beans, corn and cornbread. I'll be honest, I remember the food being better but it wasn't bad. Their brisket was good and I actually really like their baked beans and cornbread. All in all, pleasant quick experience with a friendly staff. Place was well kept and clean. Sometimes I forget that this location is around the corner so I'm glad to revisit it.

I used to love 4R but I was pretty disappointed the last couple times I went. A couple visits ago I…read moregot the burnt ends and they were incredly greasy. Most recently I went in to grab food to go. I walked up to the line where you order and I had to wait for two employees to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledged me. I told them what I wanted and they passed my paper to the cashier. I was a little confused because I was getting brisket and they did not ask how I wanted it (lean, moist, etc) so I asked if I was supposed to go to the cashier or stay with the people making my food. I got a little bit of an attitude from the employee who said to go to the cashier. I ordered sliders by the way, I haven't ordered them in a while so maybe you don't get a choice on type of brisket if you get sliders? Not sure. I paid and waited for my order to get finished (never told them how I wanted my brisket) and the cashier handed me my bag. I looked inside, no utensils, no sauce, no napkins. I asked for sauce and she grabbed a handful and dropped it into my bag like I was bothering her. I figured I was asking too much to ask for napkins so I stopped at a table and grabbed some paper towels from one of the rolls. Finally get to where i'm able to eat. I used to get the sliders all the time so I was excited! You get a variety and they're big sliders, like hefty! Boy was i disappointed when I opened my to-go box. The portion of meat was atleast half of what i've gotten in the past and for my pork slider it was maybe 1/3 of the meat it usually is. I ended up taking the top part of the slider bun off and eating them like open faced sandwiches because otherwise there would have been more bread than meat. Overall, 4Rivers is one of my favorite BBQ spots, I love the Messy Pig and the Six Shooter and all their desserts! I really hope I just went on off days and this isn't the new norm for 4R!
