Alice Springs chicken and sweet potato
    Cilicia L.

Service was excellent. Prices weren't bad for lunch. The Alice Springs chicken was moist and flavorful, though over seasoned in a couple bites. The baked potato was a trifle overcooked but tasted fine.

Back in the day, Outback was loicated in the antique mall in Round Rock and was not open for lunch. They recently moved north a bit so I thought we would try lunch at the new location where Mimi's Restaurant used to be. up by the outlet mall. The restaurant was extensively remodeled and was actually quite modern and attractive. Not my father's dated Outback! I had a small center cut sirloin steak with a baked potato . It was perfectly grilled to medium rare and the potato was great. Only $13.99! My buddy had a burger and fries and thought it was very good. The service was great. We will be back!

A cool restaurant/bar on the west side of Round Rock. It is located between service road of 620 and…read moreChisholm Heritage Trail. Inside it has several sketches of musicians. They play pop music videos as well as Country Western and Latin music. The staff are friendly and fun to talk with. Today I met Junior the bartender and Marcos the owner. I got a plate of chips and salsa with a water shortly after taking a seat. The menu comes as a physical menu as well as virtual (QR Code). I ordered the Latin Burger which consisted of an angus beef patty, served on a bed of melted cheese, accompanied by caramelized onions, bacon, tomato and lettuce. It is super juicy since the meat is bought fresh from a butcher in Georgetown. It comes with French fries too. I also had a Love Street Draft Beer. The food and the conversation will make you want to return over and over. Thank you Marcos and Junior for making me feel at home!

The Bichota cocktail was a standout--sweet, refreshing, and with just enough of a kick to keep you sipping slowly. The Old Fashioned was equally impressive: sweet yet balanced, served in a stylish glass with a unique holder that made the experience feel elevated. For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. The yuca and tostones were cut to the perfect thickness for even cooking, with a satisfying crunch outside and tender inside, especially when dipped into their garlicky sauce. The cheese sticks are an absolute must-have--crispy outside, oozy inside, and dangerously addictive. And the arepas? Exceptionally good--stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and sweet plantains for that perfect salty-sweet balance. Every plate showed attention to texture, seasoning, and presentation. Price Considering the quality of ingredients, creative plating, and generous portions, the prices felt fair for a fusion dining experience. The cocktails were crafted with care and worth every penny. Appetizers could easily be shared, making it easy to get variety without breaking the bank. Environment We sat outside and it was amazing for groups, dates, and inside it is super cool. The décor is not fancy but really fun Austin style. There is a section bar where they play music which I want to try. Service The service was cool and amicable. It looks the server was new but he did give recommendations. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great pairing suggestions. Dishes came out at a good pace, and drinks were refreshed quickly. You could tell the staff was proud of the food they were serving, which made the whole experience even better. Overall: If you're looking for a place where Latin flavors meet creative execution, this spot is worth the visit. Come hungry, order a mix of small plates, and don't skip the cocktails--or the garlic sauce.

I am so torn on this place. My friends and I were looking for a cute spot for a moms night out…read more(just 3 of us). We decided to make a reservation at Odds Bar and give it a try. Arrived right on time and the parking lot was PACKED, though the restaurant appeared nearly empty except for a loud networking event going on in a devoted side room open to the main area. No one at the desk to greet us, just a sign to seat ourselves, so we did. Guess reservations don't really matter? It was quite a while before anyone approached us, but when a server finally came he was very nice and helpful. We ordered drinks and entrees. It took an ABSURD amount of time before the drinks came out...maybe because of the event? Not sure. The bar and restaurant seemed nearly empty otherwise and the bartender didn't look busy or rushed at all. Luckily we had intended to make a night of it, so we were able to wait. It was hard to hear each other talk, though, due to the networking event. When the drinks finally came, mine was AMAZING. Like, one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, and maybe one of the best of my life? Weeks later I'm still thinking about it. I got the Going Bananas and it was simple perfection. The food also took a while to come out, but at least we had drinks to tide us over. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed. The toppings were spare and didn't offer much to elevate the dish, and the chicken itself, while tasty, was very dry in parts, to the extent where I was dipping it in ketchup to get it to go down easy. The bun and fries were good. Our server seemed to have evaporated into thin air after delivering food, so we had no water refills and had to vye for attention to pay the check. Eventually the bartender came and helped us pay, and seemed terse and annoyed when we asked to split our check. (Three middle-aged women...seems more likely a split than combined?) All in all, we were there about 3 hours total, mostly because service took so long. Such a bizarre experience. I would NOT come here if you are on any kind of timeline. The only way I'll come back is to sit at the bar and have drinks only.

Our server was Chase, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and took ownership of the whole experience. You can tell he enjoys being there. I got the off-menu All Day English Breakfast, which - shut the front door - was the best I've had in the Austin area. No puddings, and regular bacon instead of rashers, but otherwise super traditional and fantastic. The bangers stood out - YUM. We also got some candied bacon for fun which made the whole meal even more excessive, haha. It was superb, and a generous portion that the two of us easily shared. I'm hooked. Reasonable prices, great food, beautiful interior, fantastic service, easy parking. What a fun surprise to start 2026.

I was definitely sad, but hey...no worries I did try something else! I got the Cheesesteak with a side of fries (loved the unique cut) and a honey mustard sauce for dipping. The food was overall good, I just wished that the meat was finely chopped and seasoned just a tad bit more, literally a tad! Service was quick and my food was super fresh; I messed up for not eating it there because my sandwich bread roll was a little soggy on the bottom, but that was my fault for taking it home lol! They did advise that they will be adding some Cajun eats to the menu, that's got me sold to come back. The staff was friendly and I most certainly loved the girl with the ginger hair, she's super awesome and had a smile on her face! Y'all better keep her! Another female staff member gave me a compliment on my sandals, keep her too! The inside is very soft and comfortable. I didn't snap many photos since there were other customers eating with children. Definitely a place to have a nice bite and a cute lunch date.
