Love Outback steak and salad, it's so good delivery is fast and the drivers are courteous

Excellent menu and quality food! I enjoy dining in as well as carrying out meals. The service thus far has been excellent!

Would be last on my list of steak houses. Drinks were ok, I like the large booths which seat six. Our appetizer the blooming onion seemed incomplete, like one fourth of it fell off. The photo shows the full side. My French onion soup was very tasty. The house salad was decent. I originally ordered the prime rib medium rare. It came out medium well. And since they ran out of the prime rib, I ended up ordering the filet and lobster. The 'filet' seemed more like a sirloin in look and texture. Serviced was strained, with wait staff manning too many tables. Even though my order was messed up, never saw or spoke to a manager. I ate 15 minutes after others at my table. read more

Very surprised by this visit, and for all the right reasons! We were blessed with a $200 gift card for Christmas and able to take the family out to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary with it. We chose this location as they have much better ratings than others. It was a rainy night so we were one of the few tables there so for the most part service was very attentive. Drinks came out quick, food came out hot, and all prepared right. I tried the new 18OZ BONE-IN RIBEYE W/ BOURBON ONION and a French Onion Soup...WOW! Unfortunately my baked potato was pretty dry even with butter and sour cream but that was the only thing I didn't enjoy. My daughter really enjoyed her tenders and my you get son loved his sirloin. Restroom review: 2/5 no toilet paper :( but it's okay I understand that it was a busy day and low staff. The Pipes have a bit rust to them, but fortunately- no leak! When I used the wall stalls (men's) all liquid remained in the urinal. No splash back! +10 points! Sink counters were set free and even included a stepping stool for kids! If I have kids (probably soon) this would have been a great addition! read more

I have always loved Outback Steakhouse. We visited this week and my filet tasted very strange. The meat itself had a bad flavor and the new spices went against me. I wonder if the beef is US. This review is for stellar customer service. The family and I enjoyed a delicious dinner with the most pleasant and attentive service we've experienced in a long time. From the hostess who greeted and seated us upon entry, to our very present waitress who took pride in her work and was "on-time" when we needed her, to the manager who stopped by the table to ensure everything was as expected, everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. It is extremely rare for me to give a two on a review. I try to stay positive or I just don't leave a review. But being a former employee of this restaurant, I know they can do so much better. Almost every table in the bar area was dirty. The restaurant was freezing cold and I'll continue to say this. Restaurants need to control the temperature for their customers not the employees. And when a customer is freezing cold, I know for a fact that the manager can turn it up. I asked for it to be turned up. They said they'd handle it and then just completely ignored me. My food got cold in a matter of minutes because the cold air was blowing right on my table. I asked for extra crispy bacon on my burger. I got almost raw bacon. Uninspired kitchen cooks is a pet peeve of mine. It shows that the overall moral of the restaurant must be low. If a cook takes no pride in their work, all suffer. My boyfriend ordered a well done burger. He got a med well burger with a soggy bun. I also had a soggy bun. The blue cheese has changed at the restaurant and didn't even have a blue cheese flavor. The butter must have no salt in it now because no matter how much I added more to my potato, it tasted bland and had no flavor. The salad was not fresh and had brown spots throughout. When I worked at Outback, we prided ourself on fresh food. I'm disappointed that the franchise has chosen to lower its standards to this level. On a good note, the potato was fresh and hot. And the service was excellent. The servers need to keep the dining room cleaner but they took good care of us. I will not be back. And I will not recommend this restaurant to others. I'm sad to have to write this type of review and it is the only one I've ever chosen to publish. But I know this franchise can do so much better as I said. read more

So walking in on Saturday evening we were immediately greeted and seated. Our drink orders were taken and brought quickly. Our starter, steakhouse mac and cheese bites, was ordered and also arrived quickly. The consensus was they were a good start that would be ordered again. My wife ordered the strawberry and peach sangria, that was rated excellent and would be ordered again. Salads arrived next, and were average. Mine was missing onions. Once the main courses arrived, which seemed slightly delayed, especially by the timeframes all the other food and drinks were brought, we were quite ready to eat. Prime rib was really good, but not cooked to the order. The sirloin and blooming fried chicken was cooked as ordered and would be ordered again, but maybe without the chicken. That is something you have to be in the mood for. The sweet potato was excellent! Overall a very good experience. I will say I appreciated the more quiet atmosphere, and our server was great. I think their competition may have higher quality food by a small margin, but the atmosphere here was better here (unless you prefer loud to where conversation is difficult). read more

Love to come hear for an early dinner on Wednesdays whenever I crave for a good grilled chicken. My grilled chicken in the barbie was cooked to perfection and the delicious sauce on the side perfectly complements this juicy and tender chicken breast. I started with a delicious serving of their coconut shrimp which I thought was overcooked (judging by its dark color when it was served) but no, it was just perfect, fresh from the frying pan and the equally mouth-watering dipping makes it more delicious. Darlene my server was very nice and attentive, checked-up on me several times to make sure she's available for anything else that I may need. Dining here around this time (after 2:30 to 3:30 pm) is nice since the lunch crowd are already gone and evening diners are not yet in. I order 2 different kinds of wings. I hate I gave a tip on my carry out order. Never again. I should've checked my order that was my fault! But i trusted it was going to be right ! Got home notice my all flats.. I know it's an extra dollar.. I don't have a problem paying for what I want!! So get home look at my food and hardly no flats!! We went to this location on Veterans Day. For this particular day, veterans get a free blooming onion and free drink with the purchase of a meal. We had a very nice server who explained that not only do veterans get this deal but their families do as well. Awesome! I ordered the Kings pasta that came with steak and shrimp. While the service was good, the same cannot be said about the food. The steak was tough and under seasoned and the pasta was bland and not cooked Al dente. Outstanding Service at Outback ~ Tonight my twin and I decided to treat ourselves and opted for an Outback experience. We entered the doors around 8 PM and were greeted warmly by our hostess. She seated us and within minutes, our waitress Belinda, with smiles and cheer came to our table. Her radiant smile and disposition set the mode for our meal as we settled in and ordered an entree of a Lobster tail and a 6 oz Steak accompanied by a sweet potato and broccoli. Belinda checked on us multiple times during our meal and kept the bread and lemonade coming. The bread was so soft and fluffy and she was never far away. We even got a glimpse of Stephen, the manager walking the floor. He was attending to another guest, but we had to stop him and tell him how awesome our experience was. He beamed with pride about his staff, but re reminded him that the culture comes from the top. When Belinda returned, we asked her to give our compliments to the Chef as our steak was prepared to a perfect medium rare. The food was piping hot and was in front of us before we knew it. To finish our experience, we decided to end the night with a cookie skillet and ice cream. I rarely dine out during the middle of the week, but I'm so glad we did. Our server was very attentive and made sure my kids order was out quickly. My dad was obsessed with the pork chop. Our steaks were pretty basic, but cooked correctly. The host and manager were very kind and gave my boys a little duck that made their drive home happy. Thanks outback crew. read more

This evening I picked up a rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and a salad. The ribs were over cooked and very salty. The salad was the middle of iceberg lettuce mostly white and pale yellow. Why do they put croutons on a salad when they know you are not going to eat right away. Croutons were a bit soft. Used a gift card but had no idea it was a month and 20 days expired. They could have given me 10% off. But no the manager said there was no way for him to take it cause it was 3 months over the expiration date. This will be the last time I eat there! I guess Salt Grass will be my spot now. The food is never good at outback anyways. read more

I most certainly would not suggest ordering to go!!!!! I ordered a NY strip and it was supposed to have been Pittsburgh style(xtra char and xtra seasoning) and the cook should've been between med well and well. It wasn't even close! The cook on it was more med rare/med than the requested temp. So on top of the star of the plate being a fail, the baked potato was well done inside( along with the absence of rock salt.) Even with the deduction of points accumulated, I still wouldn't have wasted money buying this meal if we were indoors. read more

Our server was fantastic, but our meal left a LOT to be desired. I went to this Outback with a larger group not that long ago and we had a mixed experience. Our server, Daniel, was hecking phenomenal and went above and beyond in making sure our time there was one to remember. Some of our party were admittedly difficult to work with and he handled them with grace and kept working with us until everyone had what the wanted. My good sir, you were phenomenal. Unfortunately, the rest of the establishment wasn't on par with Daniel's level of awesome. Two of our group went to the restroom after we'd finished our meal and came back thoroughly grossed out by the state of it. One even had toilet paper stuck to her shoe as it was apparently all over the bathroom floor and unavoidable, and no matter how hard she tried she could not get it off. Whatever else was all over the floor had essentially sealed it to her shoe and it was beyond GROSS. When meals came out, one of our party received a burger with mold in her bun. She of course sent it back and the manager came out to address and rectify the disgusting mishap, but it was a considerable amount of mold and we were all disturbed by how much was in her meal. Needless to say, we all proceeded with caution. Before the bad stuff hit the fan, everything seemed okay. I ordered the Croc-tail and though it was fun to sip on, it wasn't anything special. It was fizzy and needed to be mixed a little bit to get that green apple flavor. I think the main appeal to this drink is the fact that it comes with a plastic Outback-stamped crocodile to take home. I dubbed mine CrocoDaniel in honor of our server. My meal was one of the later ones to make it to the table and at that point the mold had been spotted so I was very wary of my own plate. I'd ordered the Seared Pepper Ahi Tuna appetizer and a Baked Potato. The Baked Potato was once again okay but nothing special. There was minimal to no seasoning save chives, and the bacon bits and cheese were middle of the road in quality. I wish it had come with sour cream or the likes as it was a hefty potato with minimal toppings that left you with a lot of plain potato no matter how hard you tried to spread out the toppings. I honestly think my meal would have been better without having ordered it. The Seared Pepper Ahi Tuna scared me for a second as there was a green sheen on the tuna itself and it took me a moment to realize it was a wasabi rub and not in fact more mold. Keeping to the trend, it too was average. The wasabi rub, peppercorn along the seared edge, and orange sauce it came with did all of the work on this appetizer. I did not use the side of wasabi it came with as I thought the rub was enough, nor did I eat the bed of crappy and dry salad it came on as it wasn't appealing in the slightest. I don't know what was going on with this location as I've been to this one once or twice albeit a while ago, but I'd recommend steering clear while they get their stuff together. One thing is for sure, whatever they're paying Daniel, he deserves at least double. He's the only thing keeping me from giving this Outback a single star. 1 star cleanliness and food, 5 star service. read more

It was my husband's first time at an outback and my first time since probably 2015 ! It was great ! We had the bone in rib-eye cooked medium rare (was cooked almost perfectly, just a bit rare at one end of it) the asparagus and baked potato ! Highlights were our waiter, clearly trying to upsell frequently but understandably that's part of his job. Last night we went here for the Veterans Day special! It seemed like the place was very understaffed- it took 1 hour to even get napkins and silverware and about 40 min to get 1 drink. We were there from 5pm to 8pm because the service was soooo slow and drinks and orders took forever. Terrible service on delivery. Steak was salty. Potatoe had no butter or sour cream. Substituted green beans instead of brocholi with no explanation. Driver who delivered did not speak English. Couldn't find my house yet parked right in front. Met him at end of driveway and I grew concerned if he didn't speak English, did he have drivers license and could he read English. Very concerning. I use this steakhouse many times in past and this was terribly disappointing to say the least with this time. I will go to other steakhouses because of this episode. read more

Not sure why it took us years to try Outback but I'm so happy we did! We now go just about every Sunday and get waited on by our favorite server, Barbie!! She...and the others btw...are all so friendly! We always ask for Barbie because she knows exactly how we like our steak & salmon cooked (medium)...salads (no cheese... no tomato) dressings, and lets us know if anything is new or different for that week. She is very considerate of our time (some servers hand out and either talk a lot or never make eye contact). Best of all, this service AND the quality of the food, are so CONSISTENT! We've been about 20+ times over the last year and the salads are always fresh; dressings are the best; and never had an issue with the steak and salmon preparation. The to go cooks is what seems to be the real problem. My friend/sister ordered dinner for me and my neighbor as a get well to me and a thank you for everything she did for me friend. Ok, let's talk about the food. I ordered Reef and Beef. Let's talk about the Beef, I ordered medium well and received nothing less than burnt and hard as a rock. My brand new Henckels steak knives could only tear it. My potato was extremely small and overcooked. Asparagus was limpy. Now, the item selection was Reef and Beef, right, well I ordered the scallops, which I was excited to eat, well, they were not in my order. My Caesar Salad came with maybe a teaspoon of dressing in a very tiny container. My friend ordered Victoria's steak, medium rare (don't know about the temperature of her steak other than it also looked burnt, Caesar salad same amount of dressing and Sweet Potato with honey butter and cinnamon. She received the honey butter and cinnamon which came in a tiny cup that didn't seem to be enough for a sweet potato at all, but no sweet potato. I personally called the store and was told that it was the fault of Door Dash!! My friend called Door Dash and they told her to call the restaurant. Your manager did offer to re-fire the order but I would have to come to pick it up!! What a joke, I can't get up and walk to the bathroom by myself!! I was also told that they have no one to do any form of delivery. I immediately told your Manager that I had back surgery the day before. Now, I had a steak that was inedible and resembled a hockey puck. Super tiny baked potato and no scallops. My friend received a steak that resembles mine and no sweet potato. Obviously there was nothing much to eat so I didn't, I tossed everything but my salad, I used the dressing that was provided, so I guess I ate less than half of that. I've been coming to this place for years and am just not writing a review. I always sit at the bar, and usually by myself. Their drinks are great, and the service at the bar has always been excellent. Regarding the food...it's very consistent and usually pretty darn good. I know it's a chain, but they use enough spice in their food to make it interesting, and usually they cook it exactly as ordered. I've tried many things on their menu from Prime Rib to steaks and chops....all have been way better than average. For this location in San Antonio, it's a pretty great place and at a reasonable price. Recommend! read more
