I don't have enough good things to say about this local gem. Fresh food, bread, and baked goods. Unique lattes. Fun and cozy atmosphere. It's the perfect place to meet a friend for breakfast or even read or get work done. The staff is kind and service is fast! Highly recommend!

I really wanted to love this place but it simply missed the mark. First off, the entrance is on Grundy St, not Gough as you might expect. Limited street parking is available. Ovenbird is vibrant and beautifully decorated. It's a great space to sit and socialize. After perusing the menu, I selected the following: Blueberry Frangipane Tart, Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a plain bagel, and a hot vanilla latte. While the tart was delicious, the rest just wasn't hittin'. The BEC was greasy and the bagel a bit dry. As for the latte, it was aesthetically appealing, but meh as it was served lukewarm. This seems minor but instead of having napkins available, there was a centrally located paper towel roll (similar to what you might find in a public restroom). At this price point, I would expect soft napkins and not what felt like fine grain sandpaper. It was a bit off putting. Service was great but I don't think I'll be returning.

This was my first time visiting ovenbird and I'll definitely be back. If you are looking for a place to work, chat with friends or just start your day with a nice latte then put ovenbird on your list. Nestled in the brewers hill area.. I think.. it's a great find. The staff is nice and also there are tons of food options. We had the salmon bagel, grilled cheese and the Ube latte

    It's got a nice vibe!

I love this place! This time I had the turkey havarti on sourdough. It was tasty! I also had the cinnamon toast crunch latte. OMG!!! It's delicious and tastes exactly like the cereal. That will be my go-to going forward. And of course I had to have a cookie which is always delicious. I love the contrast between the sweetness of the white chocolate chips and the salt. And the cookies are always so moist! YUM!

We were really impressed with ovenbird! Their bread was excellent and is definitely the star; their indoor seating is great; service was fast and friendly and there is plenty of space. Focaccia was excellent!

I just started going to Ovenbird and I loved it! I took my computer to work there and it was such a good environment for that. I got the avocado toast (same thing I got before) and it was just as good. The barista that took my order was helpful in giving their input on what I should order/what they recommend. I'll definitely be going back!

Came here with a friend and loved it! I've been to the Little Italy location before, but this one is lovely. A ton and good variety of seating with gorgeous and bright decor. You order at the counter, which moves quickly. My friend and I split the plum coffee cake and a savory scone. The plum coffee cake was awesome--moist, flavorful, and not too sweat. The baked in pieces of plum were delicious. The savory scone was OK (not my favorite but I'm from the south were scones are superb) and I wish they had heated it. I also got the gingerbread latte which was super yum--not at all bitter, great spiced flavors, and smooth. Can't wait to be back!

Highlandtown location. The decor inside is something to be seen! Definitely wasn't expecting that but pleasantly surprised. Reminded me of Friends Central Perk. Service was very courteous! My bread was just a bit too hard. I had the ham, fig, and Brie and it was sooo good!

I was highly skeptical on the way to this location. It takes you thru some seemingly questionable neighborhoods. However, once you arrive its like being transported to another realm. It has a clean aesthetic mixed with a cozy, warm and a modernly rustic vibe that makes you feel at ease. The staff are very kind and offer great recommendations if you cant figure out what you want because everything looks or sounds delicious. Spoiler alert-everything is good. Finally, the food was delicious. Ordered a few sandwiches, some drinks and desserts and at worse, they rated a 8/10. Overall 10/10. Despite the questionable surrounding area, I would absolutely recommend and cant wait to return.

    Salmon Lox Bagel

One of the best salmon and lox I've had for a very affordable price. Upon walking in I was fascinated of the interior as It was vibrant and colorful and very spacious. There were people doing their work and enjoying the stillness of the bakery. I ordered a lox bagel for $10 and It didn't take long for my order to be ready. While I was waiting I looked at the desserts and the cocktail area that I definitely want to try next. My lox bagel was on an everything bagel with herb cream cheese and I took off the tomatoes. It was a bit cold however everything blended perfectly. I warmed It up for 8 seconds and It really emphasized the flavors. I'll definitely come back and order again

    Red Lentil Soup

Spacious and with high ceilings and delightful décor, Ovenbird offers a full range of baked goods, along with sandwiches, soups, salads, and quiches for lunch and all of the usual cafe items for breakfast, such as egg sandwiches, bagels, and avocado toast. But we were there for lunch and we shared a Red Lentil Soup (creamy without cream and full of flavor), the Spinach and Cheese Quiche (heavier on the spinach than cheese as I like it and with a firm and delicious crust) and a wonderfully tasty latte that could have been a little hotter). We were tempted by the gorgeous breads, but left without a loaf, promising to return soon. We didn't have to wait long because at dinner in a friend's home two nights later, they served Ovenbird's rich Whole Wheat Sourdough and we had to hold ourselves back to leave room for the rest of the meal. The pastries look luscious, but we behaved ourselves. The friendly and professional staff seems to know all of the regulars and this adds to the warm ambience and comfortable experience. We will be back soon.

I stopped by for breakfast around 9am and there were already people inside, which was nice to see! The decor inside is amazing, very eclectic and it transports you to a new, fantastical place. This would be an incredible venue for a party or event! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and we settled on a sweet cream cold brew, a latte, and two bagel breakfast sandwiches. We also got a focaccia to go. The area is very nice and pretty quiet, a few people were working remotely and I know some friends who regularly work from there. Very cool vibes, very cool people, and delicious breakfast and baked goods!

    Ube iced latte

One of my new favorite spots. My 2yo described the vibe as "really nice" and "not scary". He didn't give enough credit bc the place is stunning. Lots of natural light and lots to look at. I got an iced ube latte, which was so freaking good. He picked the iced and spiced cookie (something like that) and no joke, it was one of the best cookies I've ever had. Service was super friendly! Can't wait to return.

Today, you will find the same delicious foods, outstanding personnel, and friendly service that has been maintained for over three generations. ATTMAN'S has the flavor and excitement like that of the East Side of New York City, where our famous corned beef comes out steaming hot from our kettles all day, seven days a week; and where the taste of real Jewish hot pastrami makes your mouth water for more." (https://attmansdeli.com/history/) This place became popular back in the day for Jewish food specialties especially around Passover and their kosher products. The current location was established in 1933 and still stands today. Sandiwches: I got the original 'Corned Beef' Sandwich. I got it "Extra Heavy +$" with more meat, regular cut meat (there is an option of regular cut vs lean cut for an upcharge), with Sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, with deli mustard, on toasted rye bread. DIY rueben-esque. The sandwich was amazing! Quality corned beef, so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended. This is their true, time and tested menu item! I also got the 'Lombard Street' sandwich, on toasted rye bread. It had pastrami, corned beef, chopped liver and Russian dressing. Good blend of different flavors and textures. I was expecting a savory liver pate sort of taste, but it's on the sweeter side. Which I found interesting, sorta not my jams but definitely someone else's. The 'Lombard Street Coddies' was a lil soft baked fish cake patty. It came wrapped in foil with a stone ground mustard packet and crackers, snack size. I expected some toasted crunch on the outside, but it didn't have that. Kinda smushy all over. Desserts: The 'Strawberry Shortcake' was more of a denser/ heavier cake with a cream cheese layer. The frosting was harder and super sweet. The 'Rainbow Cake' was super pretty with its colorful layers, just like the pictures. Denser sweet chocolate cake. Both cakes were good, but my preference is for softer airier cake. And icing that's lighter and less sweet. The 'Chocolate Top Cookie' (each) was a softer sugar-cookie-like base with a generous glob of chocolate frosting on top. This I'd probably not get again. The 'Black Bottom Cupcake' was super moist and yums, recommended. This I would get again. Sides: I got the 'Attman's House Salad' with Russian dressing. It was a decent sized salad, you could add different protein options on. Blend of tomatoes and lettuce. The 'Homemade Potato Salad' and the 'Homemade Coleslaw' were packaged in smaller sauce containers. Both were nice accompaniments for the sandwiches. I also got the 'Bubbie's Matzo Ball Soup'. The matzah/matzo ball was packaged in a separate tub from the soupy portion. There were good potions of vegetables and soup. It was my first time trying out a matzo ball, definitely interesting. The dough-flour bite went well with the hot chicken flavored soup. Overall, I got a bit of everything in my to-go DoorDash order to try thing out. It's very different from the types of food I usually get. This was a good experience. I really liked the corned beef sandwich here, highly recommend that. Try this place out if you have the time!

I would most definitely recommend this spot to everyone. It wasn't a busy Friday when we went so the service was very fast. When you go I hope you enjoy the food as much as my friends and I did.

When I first walked up, I had a question, and they just pointed me toward the kiosk to order. The same thing happened to the customer after me too lol, so I guess that's just how they operate here. Despite that, my drink came out really fast...probably within five minutes. Since then, I've tried several other boba spots, and honestly, this one has had the best flavor so far. The drink wasn't overly sweet even at 100% sweetness, and the tapioca pearls were the perfect consistency. I hate that this place is so far from me because I would absolutely go back again today.
