Saw this bar get redone on Bar Rescue, and it looked amazing during the show. In reality, this bar is still disgusting inside. It's dim, dirty, and the bathrooms are gross. The bartender openly admitted that the owner refuses to replenish bar supplies, so they're not able to make most the drinks listed on their menu. The food was really subpar; I suck at cooking, and I could have made better sliders than that. What a huge letdown from how it looked on the show. read more

Depends on when you go, but usually it's a great place to be. All the bartenders are sweet and patient with my indecisiveness!

Is 0 stars an option? How do you have someone like Jon Taffer come in fix your fuck up of a failing bar and then turn around and mess it all back up again. Drinks are garbage. They dont have any ingredients to make aaaaaanything on their menu. Reading someone else's review said the bartender says manager wont replenish and stock bar...makes sense. Food is trash. Seems like they went right back to their old ways with an updated look. Too bad Its FILTHY gross inside. It took us an hour and a half to get our food and when we got it it was saturated in grease and cold.....disgrace to the Portland scene will never return. Close your doors you're done. read more

Gotta be honest, we only went because we saw the Bar Rescue episode. My husband HAD to have the controversial biscuits and gravy. We knew Sal went back to his old recipe. In short, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The biggest bonus is we got to chat with the legend himself. Sal is a hoot! The boys talked football, swapped service stories, and Sal filled us in on the history of the place. Couldn't have had more fun for lunch. Thanks Sal! read more

I was lucky enough to stop in just a few days after the restoration, everything was fantastic! 4 and a half stars all the way. My latest visit was quite different, the food was mediocre at best. What happened? Time to find a new place for chicken fried steak. read more

Went there on a Sunday morning and it seemed like they were getting steady business. There were probably 2 or 3 other small groups there when my mom and I arrived and then 3 more groups arrived while we were there. The wait staff was really attentive and kind. Our food did take a little over an hour to get served BUT the burger was THE BEST burger I have ever had. I got the breakfast burger and it was worth the wait. However, I don't know if I would be willing to go there regularly because of the wait. Fix the the wait time and I would absolutely recommend this place read more

Well.......... sal's gone. Had the worst chicken fried steak EVER. The damn thing was awful burnt crust had to use a knife to cut it..WTF!!!! Time to get new owner and change the name back. read more

The bar has recently been remodeled and looks great. Tasty food with descent prices. The bloody marys are made from scratch and are very good. Breakfast served all day which is yummy. Our waitress was very friendly. Definitely go back again! read more

Still bad service. I'm the only customer. Two people behind the bar. Hard to place an order while they are talking to each other. Got a coffee. Took another five minutes before I could ask for cream. The guy held the cream and cup in his and, not pouring, kept talking to the other person behind the counter. He didn't pour until he was done talking. Another minute for a menu. What the Fuck is going on here? Something like this happens every time. There are more people here now. I don't think I'll try to order food. read more

Came in to just have one drink.. waiting 15 minutes just to order. About 8 of that was with no bartender at the bar. Finally got out drinks. I ordered a vodka soda. The lime was so dried out I could not squeeze any juice from it. Then I get up, having not taken one drink, the condensation covering the glass makes it slip right out of my hands. The whole drink it on the floor. I instantly grab napkins and clean it up as best as a could. Apologize profusely and offer to mop. She declines to let me help and never comes back to me. When I grab her attention and ask if I could get another drink since this was an accident and the glass was wet she said I needed to buy another. Now if I was drunk ok.. but after waiting 15 minutes with no bartender, giving a tip, and cleaning up the mess myself with the exception of running the mop over it you would think they would be okay with it. Plus it smelled like aunt killer and the bathroom was disgusting. Go in to a nasty stall with no liners and it will not even flush. Obviously an issue for a while as the tank was full. read more

Cheap, reliable, delicious sausage and perfectly cooked hash browns for $5!! I'm giving 4/5 stars because they only offer Tabasco for hot sauce.. Come on now! Cha-lu-la! Cha-lu-la! This place looks like a dive bar on the outside (six points) but is pretty nice and renovated on the inside.. No line for breakfast! read more

Great food. Friendly staff. I don't travel to NoPo very often but when I do, I make it a point to stop in here and have a drink.

Kind of busy and unfortunately under staffed. Food is good, just wish the servers had some more help.

We have lived within walking distance of this place for almost 20 years. I drive past it every day to/from work. Restaurants without windows have always been a big turn off for me. So we had never been inside. As we began to see improvements to the outside, new name and sign stating they had great breakfast, we decided to give it a try. It's very nice and clean on the inside. My husband's chicken fried steak was delicious. My 2 egg breakfast was great. The service was friendly. We are going back to try happy hour next. My only complaints would be that the back door off the kitchen was propped wide open and had no screen that would keep flies from coming in. It's also unpleasant to pull up to a place to see staff standing only a few feet from that back door, smoking. read more

Don't be fooled by the name Over Easy Bar AND Breakfast. Recently, my sweetheart and I were craving some late evening breakfast so we decided to finally try out this place (we've been eyeing it up for awhile). We arrived around midnight and were told the kitchen was closed, which is funny because they had no problem serving liquor which is against state law when you aren't serving food. Also, why call yourself Bar AND Breakfast when you're actually just a bar? We tried to keep it local and instead ended up at Denny's. read more

My sister, my son and I went to Over Easy because we saw it on Bar Rescue. We drove over 30 miles to check this place out and when we got there, there were a couple of people at the bar and three tables. One of the tables was eating the other had just had their order taken and the third was waiting for their drinks. We waited about 10 minutes for them to clear our table. We ordered drinks and waited another 15 minutes before we received them. We arrived at the restaurant about 11:30 a.m. by 12:30 they still hadn't taken our order so we left. My sister tried to call and talk to the manager and she was told the manager is never there, and if she had a complaint she could write it down and they would give it to them. Also, the waitress treated us like we were an inconvenience. I would never go back and I will let everyone I know what a dive this place is. Sad, Mr. Tater wasted his time on this place.
