Played music here, great vibes, fun show! Staff is friendly and professional, it really was a pleasure to perform here.

Sloppy Joe (partially eaten), Jameson on the rocks, and a kool-aid pickle of in the distance.

Lovely cozy neighborhood bar frequently featuring live music/ local bands. The food menu is small but mighty. Order the sloppy Joe. I am a Sloppy Joe connoisseur, if such a thing exists... and from my heightened position... I tell you... go sloppy. Or go home.

One of my favorite (dive-ish) bars in St. John's. I remember going hete before they had a performing venue built and when the was a couple good carts located on the premises. Its pretty much a place to go to get some good drinks at a reasonable price and hang out with friends on the outdoor patio. The only bad thing (for non-smokers) is that people can smoke on the patio.

Half HH Frito pie. Huge and delish!

Having moved close to The Fixin To is both a blessing and a curse. I know when hunger strikes it is only a couple of short blocks away serving my favorite vegetarian Frito pie ($5 HH). It's pretty tough to resist it's wiles. Fritos covered in a tasty vegetarian bean chili topped by house made queso, lettuce, tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream. Not health food, but who doesn't need a little stick-to-your-ribs comfort food from time to time? Amirite? I've read some of the reviews saying they had issues with the service, but I have had perfectly fine if not great service every time. No hipster attitude. The food comes out quickly, and all of it has been very good. My nephew loved his chili bowl, I've also tried the nachos and chicken and dumplings. The Frito pie just happens to be my favorite. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable, especially during happy hour. They have two patios. The one in the front faces Lombard, the one in the back is a little more secluded. You are welcome to bring well behaved dogs, and smoke if you wish. I know not everyone desires to be on a patio where it's allowed, but it seems to be popular with most patrons. The inside of the bar has several booths and plenty of stools, so you aren't forced to be around it if it's not your thing. They had Bingo one night when I was there, and it looked like they were having plenty of fun. The only thing I would suggest would be air conditioning. It has been a hot summer, and holy smokes does it get hot in there! You feel like you're in a bar down south! It's not fancy or pretentious. It's wonderful as is.

Fixin To' just started brunch and we are glad they did! Vegan and Vegetarian options keep it Portland approved. Menu is Dolly Parton era themed. Great drink options. Worth your time and dollar.

Hot Toddy. Very strong and very tasty!

Stopped by here on a Friday night for a beverage with some friends. I have also been here before during one of the Music Fests in St. John's. I had a hot toddy and it was very tasty (and very strong). I really like the atmosphere here - very hipster and laid back. It looked like there were a couple of games to play, and it was busy, but not overly packed. I wasn't sure what to make of their food menu - it was intriguing, lots of Fritos and such, but nothing that I really felt like eating at the time. If you're planning on eating, I'd recommend eating beforehand, it looked like more snacky foods on their menu. However - I hear there is a pizza food cart in their parking lot that is usually open up until 10 p.m., and I have heard (haven't tried) that their pizza is delicious. From what I remember from a music fest - they have a great back patio with a fire pit, so if you're a smoker...this is probably a very good bar for you to hang out at. If we lived closer we would probably be here a lot more often.

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. We didn't get her name but saw on the receipt her name might have been Davi, she was such a bundle of light and life, so attentive and kind! She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. Next time I'm back in Portland I'm absolutely spoiling some friends here with what I can only describe as a transcendent experience.

As i approached the building, I noticed that it was full of people. I fell into the street. I was in and out of consciousness. My heart was racing at the thought that I drove 15 hours and could not get a seat at SCREEN DOOR. As I walked into the building a humble man greeted me. He told me that they would clean off a table for me. WOO HOO. I bursted out crying at the thought that I finally got my seat. As I sat down a soft chair graced my bottom. Beautiful. I looked around and the scenery was beautiful. As I looked at the menu, my eyes sharply turned to the chicken and waffles. Deliciously perfect choice. I ordered my food and got a coffee. My chicken and waffles arrived and I took a bite. I started floating. My soul left my body. I looked down at my body as I floating away, I was enjoying every bite. I reached the heavens. A loud voice said "Its not your time yet. Return and enjoy the rest of your meal." I ascend back to the chair and every chicken and every waffle was gone. The servers were SO kind. I got my check and shead a tear, knowing that was the best meal of my life. Over all from kind servers to and delicious food, SCREEN DOOR was an awesome experience. SCREEN DOOR deserves a 5 star, however I am going to give it a 5 star. I loved every moment. Thank for read my review. Love you.

We are typically brunch people, making it here most often on a Saturday or Sunday for a late brunch. Their benedicts are to die for... truly, they're all wonderful. Their muscles are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Truly, the best I've ever had. This beats living in the southeast on the coast, any west-coast seafood restaurant, and every place I've ever enjoyed in Italy. They've certainly topped the muscle game. Highly recommend Olympic Provisions. I will gladly vouch that the negative reviews are from the haters, just to hate. Given I was dining solo, I decided to seat at the bar located off to the left. It seats 12 comfortably. A big plus for me are the seats. They had a high back and are super comfortable. I could see sitting for hours gabbing with friends. Nice upbeat electronic music played in the background. Loud enough to hear but soft enough that you can hear who is next to you. I ordered the Omelette du jour - Three egg omelette special with bacon, spinach, caramelized onions, gorgonzola and blue cheese. It was fantastic. The first thing that hit my palate was the blue cheese and caramelized onions. Delicious combination. I was happy to see that the omelette was overflowing with caramelized onions as I love them. The accompanying roasted potatoes were cooked perfectly. I also got an espresso martini to wake me up and give me a buzz to start my day.
