I enjoy coming here. I usually get there very early when it's not busy so I've not had any service issues. I've tried several things on the menu and some I liked better than others. Terrible save your money. We order ala carte and I couldn't believe the food or the bill. We simply wanted 1 egg each over medium, ham for my friend, sausage for me, nicely browned hash brown, rye toast for me, english muffin for her. Tea for her, black decafe coffee for me. The sausage and hash brown were not fit to eat so we didn't after the first bite; I mean both these were unbelievable terrible. The rye toast was over toasted and the English muffin was raw on one side. The coffee was stale. The stupidity of how all this was served was insane. We received everything on separate little plates, 1 little plate for the egg, 1 for the suasage, 1 for the ham...you get the picture. There wasn't enough butter to butter the toast lightly. And to top it off the restaurant has no atmosphere and the seating is uncomfortable. You can imagine my surprise when I received the bill for almost $28.00 for this crap. I did leave a $5.00 tip because none of this was the waitress's fault. The tea for a Earl Grey Tea bag, that my friend had to put in her cup of hot water, was $3.25 alone and she was not given a caddy or saucer for the bag after its use. No we won't be going back. The only thing good I can say about this restaurant is cute name for a breakfast restaurant. If they can make such a simple breakfast terrible I would not want to try anything else. Went here Tuesday for brunch and as always it was great. Amazingly great food and always very attentive staff. The homemade jam is a highlight from every visit and it changes constantly. On Tuesday, there was a peach and strawberry and the peach was simply marvelous! read more

The food is ok. Mostly bland and they're not very accommodating however everything is fresh and made from scratch. Their potatoes are delicious. Average customer service but they do offer discounts and coupons which is good because they're quite expensive. Overall we go back because of the freshness of the food. read more

Has short dark hair up to the shoulders and had a tattoo on her arm. If you can't work with people don't work in a place that serves food! Not sure if it was because we are from a different ethnic group or if she is just rude to everyone. Will not be going back. I recently visited Over Easy for breakfast with a friend. We both had Eggs Benedict - she has the traditional benedict and I had the smoked salmon benedict for $12 which is quite a bit. The menu says "Benedicts - all served with 3 poached eggs* and our special hollandaise sauce and choice of potato" I had gone there about a month earlier with another friend & the portions looked so large. This day they looked much small but I didn't think too much about it until I went to write my review & re-read the menu where it stated the benedicts were to have 3 poached eggs. Both of our benedicts had only 2 eggs each and that is why it did not look the same as the first time. So in other words, 1/3 of our breakfast was missing! I emailed the Mesa Over Easy restaurant giving them a chance to explain this. They did not bother to even respond although I gave my phone number and email address. So why do they have a page on their website telling you to contact them if they have no intention of ever returning your email or calling you? If this is how they run their business, we will never return. read more

I made the mistake of going there 20 minutes before closing. The sirloin I ordered looked and tasted as if a microwave oven was used to cook the meat. It was awful. I ate the eggs, hash browns and toast. I paid full price added tip and left. I left feeling ripped off. After a few days, I left a polite message on the website. The website said I would be contacted. No contact was made. After sending the website message a second time, I have the opinion this manager has no respect for the customer. The range of ratings for this place makes me think this place is really inconsistent with their food. Well here is my review. Service was okay. Food just not very good. I had their "Country: Cheddar Jalapeno biscuit, topped with a sausage patty," problems with my meal were: 1. Hollandaise sauce was a weird taste and strange gooey consistency. 2. The jalapeno biscuit was super dense and doughy, almost as if it wasn't cooked through. Being from the south I have eaten lots of biscuits from different recipes and I have to say this was the worst I have ever tasted. 3. Eggs were not poached well. They were more hard boiled than anything else. 4. Sausage was okay, could have been more flavorful. 5. Hash browns were not crispy at all, there were a few browned pieces of potatoes but overall the consistency was a pile of shreaded and steamed potatoes. 6. All my food was just warm like it had been sitting around for a while. 7. Coffee had to be some of the worst I have tasted in a long time. I only ate a few bites since I was hungry. Did not want to complain since the other people I was with were okay with their food but I was sick within an hour of eating and have been sick for over 24 hours now. I called and talked to a guy named Chris who said he is a manger. He was nice about things and offered some free meals but after this experience I sure don't want to eat there again. Quick to get a table, server was nice. Portions are horribly small- french toast my boyfriend could have at twice as much and he's not a big guy- and they weren't even good. My potatoes tasted like straight butter and the sausage was pink and tasted like turkey so I didn't enjoy that at all. Oh and they are over-priced especially with the little food they gave you. I appreciate when a restauranter ventures to the restaurant waist land of ne mesa to give us a chance to enjoy a better selection of grub. I have been here 4 times now and have experienced a good breakfast with mediocre service to great service and medicore food yester day i had the wolfpack hashbrowns with 2 eggs and bacon covered with more hashbrowns i requested eggs poached med. they came more to the hard side when one of the employs asked me how my eggs were i said there more to the hard side ,she said O and walked away I then asked for a side of holindaise my wait person brought it to me ......cold ....i said can you heat this she of course said no problem .....brought it back an over micro waved sauce that now looked like cottage cheese sent to my table by the (chef???) and delivered by the waitperson didnt either one of them think lets redo this and not serve a coagulated mess to the customer. i must say the 4 times iv been here theres always been something not quite right from not having change for a $20 to waiting to long for my food and yesterdays holindaise debacle. read more

Not impressed. $6 per kid for breakfast and they got a drink and a medium sized pancake...NOTHING else. I got the biscuits and gravy which literally is only that. No eggs, hashbrowns nada. Biscuits were dry and bland and then they placed bland gravy on top. I also got the Over easy cold brew iced coffee and I overall was not impressed with not one thing. My kid's pancakes were not good my meal was not good my drink was not good. The food was good, the service was okay but the other things we saw made the experience terrible. Saw a server sneeze with out even trying to cover their mouth, dirty sticky floors, dirty coffee cup was served to me, another server dropped utensils on the floor and placed back on the table for guests to use. This place isn't the best place to go to. My dad and I went on a Sunday, and we thought it was going to be good because we went twice before and gave other ma and pa restaurants a chance so we came back and though it was going to be better, because the two times we went before, the restaurant had great service and the food was amazing! After the brief break we had from it, we assumed they would stay the same with service and food quality but, I got a side of home fries. They are sliced potatoes that are grilled, but they were undercooked and I couldn't slice them without a knife. My dad got an Eggs Benedict and it overall had bad taste and me nor my dad are picky when it comes to food but, this place proved us wrong. My lemonade wasn't very good and the hot sauces are green pepper Tabasco, and red Cholula. That is all that they have and no other. ( Except for ketchup ) I would not recommend this place for nice family breakfasts. The waiter would run off for long periods of time without coming out until we went to ask him something, the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time so I don't understand why he had to do that. Let me start by saying that our apologetic waitress but the only redeeming part of our visit. We arrived to the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to see that we did not have a wait seeing as it was a Sunday morning. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and finally had to ask our waitress to have them make it to go as we had an appointment. 15 minutes later they finally brought it out. In the end we paid $30 for and omelet and eggs Benedict that were less than mediocre. Taking into account that it probably would have been better if we had time to eat right after it was made still would not have changed the fact that the potatoes were burnt, there was maybe a teaspoon of hollandaise between both and the omelet was tiny. read more

Based on my wife's positive experiences at the other Over Easy locations, we decided to try the Mesa location. The food is good, we both had omelettes that were prepared well. The iced coffee is awesome, it's like dessert in a glass. The reason for my lackluster rating is the state of the men's bathroom. It was horrible. The mirror has "gang style" writing scratched into it. The paper towel dispenser was empty. The tile floor doesn't look like it had been cleaned for several years. Worst of all, it smelled terrible. For a restaurant that has been open for several months, I would think that these issues would have been addressed, I wish I hadn't used the restroom prior to eating breakfast, it really turned me off. I can't believe some of these reviews are of the same Over Easy I go to every time I'm in Mesa! My food has always been very good, service perfect and cleanliness impeccable! I've tried just about everything on the menu and never had a complaint. OJ is $6.00 because it's fresh squeezed. I mean how many restaurants make their own jam? Over Easy does. People need to understand that small restaurants don't have the buying power of large chains, so of course the prices are higher. My only complaint is they won't build one in Yuma! read more

Great service...great food! The manager is always checking on folks - helping the servers, busing tables...hard working leadership. The meal I prefer when I go is called the Dolly - really good egg sandwich with bacon, cheddar cheese and tomatoes. I've tried the Loco Moko (very good), pancakes and omelettes...all very good! They also make jam (in-house) that is VERY good! Ask the manager (Chris) for the grape...it'll definitely make him laugh! read more

My wife and I went here to try a new place. We were very disappointed. The waitress done a good job but the food was atrocious. I got the biscuits and gravy, it tasted like nothing but paste, water and flour. My wife got a omelet and the eggs were over cooked and the cheese was like rubber. I'm guessing it was imitation cheese. I cooked and managed restaurants for over 20 years and this one will never last unless they get knowledgeable on food preparation and presentation. Went to Over Easy and restaurant was clean. The menu listed items that have been featured on TV. My husband asked if it was their take or their original recipes- the waitress replied their recipes. My husband ordered the waffle dogs and I ordered the waffle. My husband waffle dogs were 3 1/2 size corn dogs on a plate with syrup for $10, they were very bland. I had the waffle which was cold and looked more like a kid waffle. My husband then ordered some corned beef hash as the $10 waffle dogs was not enough. A side of corned beef hash is $5.00. They were bland, potatoes not cooked, and corned beef was bland. I was not impressed and will not be back. If you are looking to get a small breakfast with no flavor for a high price this is your place. read more
