My husband and I love this place. We don't have very many good breakfast places near our house and we were so excited to find this place! We have been going there every weekend for a couple months now. My favorite is the croatian spinach loaf although the pancakes are always good. And I'm normally a pancake and french toast kind of girl but this is so good I don't miss them! My husband has tried the breakfast burrito, omelates, steak and eggs plus the chilaquiles. All very good! Everyone is really nice and the manager and one of the servers, Laura, always come up to say hi which I like. We are here from California to see my sister who is in the hospital recovering from being in a diabetic coma. It's been very stressful over the last few days so to have a little break and spend time laughing was what our souls needed. This is our first time here and we will be rolling ourselves out to the car! We may have over indulged a little on brioche french toast and pancakes. Also the traditional eggs benedict was awesome! We will definitely be returning for round 2! The omelets look amazing and I can hear them calling my name already! Normally, my bf gets biscuits and gravy when we go out but they don't have plain biscuits, theirs are cheddar jalapeno. This place is pretty good. They have a great variety of mimosas...which I am completely okay with. They portions are normal, service is a little slow (Obviously during breakfast), it is usually packed every time I go here. Priced just right. read more

This place is still pretty solid. Came for the second time. OJ is still awesome. I had the Chilaquiles (breakfast nachos) and while I was excited for the idea of it - my chips were super soggy all around so it was kind of a let down. So my hubby n I tried this place a few months ago, being a big breakfast connoisseur, this place had a lot to live up to but it couldn't. I ordered bacon eggs hash browns the American basic because it's the one meal a restaurant has to nail time and time again.My plate was not worth the price tag any greasy spoon would have been 2-3$ less and gave an abundant amount of food. My hash browns were cooked on the same grill as onions, had I been a fan of onions it would not ave been a big deal but I think onions ruin everything so cook hash browns on a CLEAN grill non-onion infused. Coffee was so/so I'm not expecting designer coffee but at least flavor other than coffee grinds. On the plus side servers were pleasant hubby's food was hot as was mine. Just not worth the $$$ and food was less than average. I prefer Cracker's in Mesa, or T.C. Eggington's for the same price. read more

I love Over Easy Arcadia and was thrilled when they expanded to Gilbert and Mesa. This location definitely doesn't have the vibe the Phx and Gilbert locations have- totally different clientele- think Denny's. But there was no wait, the food came out fast, and was just as good as the others. My omelet was good and my toddler loved the french toast. This morning I chose the green chili with grits and an egg, it was delicious. My wife had the chicken and waffles which I stole a bite of and it was also delicious. Today this place lost customers for good. First we waited almost 20 minutes for a table in a half empty restaurant. The food was delivered to our table completely burned. The server said it's just the way it is cooked here. The bacon was inedible. She did offer to redo my plate. I asked her for mayo instead of the aioli because she said they were out. Plate came with aioli anyways. Server removed the plate from bill. We wrote a note saying the food was terrible. The manager came to our table and said everything was on the house since we were unhappy. We tried talking to him about it and he walked away from the conversation without even listening to us. I'm a HUGE fan of Guy Fieri so I was excited to try this place out since he had featured this place on his show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It's small but has a cool deco, simple and bright. We arrived fairly early and only about 3 other tables had people seated. We were greeted right away and brought out beverages quickly. I ordered Corned Beef Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the Denver Omelette and substituted toast or potatoes with a pancake. It took 30 minutes for our food to come out, a bit long in my opinion being it was not busy when we first arrived. during the 30 minutes we waited the place began to fill up but that should not have affected our order being cooked. Once the food came out it was barely warm. We think possible it had sat for a while before the waitress brought it to our table. The corned beef was tasty, not overly salty as it sometimes can be. It was tender with mainly corned beef vs potatoes, however, it was not cooked crispy on either side, just soft, not browned at all like how corned beef should be cooked and served. The eggs were not poached well, no runny yolk when cut into, but rather a soft boiled yolk consistency. And the amount of Hollandaise was minute, maybe 2 tablespoons full, pretty much non-existent. My husbands omelette had a good amount of green pepper and onions cooked right into the eggs, but only a few bits of ham. And the cheddar cheese was extremely sparse, so much so he thought they might have left it out, but found some small areas of melted cheese folded inside. The pancake came out VERY dark brown, any more brown and it would have been burnt. Maybe if we ever decide to give it another try we should stick to only what is on the menu that Guy suggested because both our meals were under par in more ways then one. read more

OverEasy has a fresh menu. You can tell the food is freshly made, no hash browns stored overnight, etc. Portion size tends to be on the large size. Price is reasonable for the food and service. My only complaint is that the outdoor seating is not inviting at all. It is sitting in a parking lot. The only barrier is a wrought iron gate. A few strategically placed plants and umbrellas might go a long way here. read more

We have order food from here before by Uber eats. My husband wanted the burger with egg on again. We get there and it's mid Saturday morning. To be expected it's busy. They offered for us to sit at the bar or wait 20 minutes for a table. We aren't choosey so we took the bar. We sat there for almost 10 minutes before even being greeted. Luckily it gave us time to look over the menu, which was a little over prices for the quality of food. We ordered two coffees and our breakfast. A little into breakfast I look over and see my husband water glass has lipstick on it. Note I am not wearing any and neither is he. We then request another glass and our waiter couldn't even be bothered to apologize. Then comes the food. My scramble eggs were fine, but my hash browns were way over cooked. My husbands burger he ordered medium came well done. The egg was not subside up on it and his hash browns were hardly cooked. During the whole process I believe we saw our waiter about 3 times including when she gave us our check. Again I am very understanding about busy breakfast places, but from where I was sitting I had full view of the kitchen and noticed how food just sat waiting to go out as well as plates piling up with no wait staff taking them to customers. read more

Love the food! Have been about a dozen times now. So many mixed feelings about it not being terribly packed when we go. I want them to succeed but love being able to be seated usually in less than 15 minutes. Chicken and waffles is my favorite, my teenager loves the chocolate chip pancakes. Went here because it was a Food Network reviewed restaurant in Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. It was tasty but a few things were bummers. 1, it was busy. Food took a while to come out. I ordered Corn Beef and Hash Cakes with a hollandaise sauce. So, since our food took a while to come out, I fear that my food sat for a while and the texture I was expecting was a let down. It was more mush because the sauce overtook what I presumed the texture to be more of a hash cake. It was mushy and my food was almost colder than room temperature. It was weird. As if they don't have food warmers. It was tasty I'll give them that. But even my caramelized onions were mush which normally happens when caramelized onions have sat a while. So over all. 3 I think is satisfactory. Maybe if we would've came here on a less busy day the food woulda been great. My wife ordered a breakfast burrito. We love Over Easy, but unfortunately had a poor experience at this location. The food was on par for the restaurant brand, but the service was seriously lacking. We arrived at 9 AM on a Wednesday, and they were woefully understaffed. Two servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I honestly felt kind of bad for them. This is a mistake on management's part for not scheduling more staff. We waited around at the hostess booth with no hostess to greet us. The male server finally got us a seat and took our drink orders. We waited about 10 minutes for him to come back with our drinks and take our food orders. We subsequently waited about an hour for our food to arrive. In the meantime, we saw two parties who had arrived after us receive their food before us. We will not be returning to this location. The Over Easy at Gilbert and Warner has much better service. They are always fully staffed, and we never wait more than 15 to 20 minutes for our food. read more

Easter Brunch was on our schedule for today we had several local restaurants to choose from with food specials for the Holiday. I called around 11:30 am to check wait times for Easter Brunch receptionist said no waiting that surprised me, I gathered the family and off to Over Easy we went. My past experience was great at the Phoenix location, I could not wait till this new location opened. I arrived around noon to Over Easy and the dining room had only 8 tables full and 85% of the location was vacant and this is Easter Sunday. !!!!! We were seated with menus and our first contact with the server it was 8 minutes from the time we were seated, remember Easter Sunday. The staff in Over Easy out numbered the customers. The server took our food and drink order, The food arrived quicker then the wait to order, The jalapeno cheddar biscuits were cold with a the gravy was bland that tasted like sweet cold flour gravy. The hash browns were hash blacks and two of the three orders were burnt black, we sent one order back.The Mile High Omelet was 50 percent cheese with small amount of ham, peppers and onions. The chocolate chip pancakes ordered special for the kid had little or no chocolate chips. We ordered two cups of coffee and one water, the coffee cups were dirty with a brown-coffee film in both cups, I had to rub the inside of the cups to remove the old dirty coffee stain. the water glass was cracked and served that way, The server stated the cups were older and stained. This location has been open only 3 months how can the cups be old they were filthy not washed properly. Last issue was the staff loading the orange juice machine with oranges in a box that was on the floor and put on the breakfast bar were customers eat that was not expected. The Over Easy experience fell way short of our previous experience , The server expressed our concerns to the manager who discounted or bill. The manager never came to the table to voice her actions with the customer. I thought that any contact with the manager showing concern would help address our issues, I guess the being a customer at the Mesa Over Easy is not a priority. Always appreciated fresh juice and homemade jam here but have had 2 bad experiences. Last week we ordered a BLT that was served without bacon. Waitress argued that the sandwich came with turkey and avocado. It was a turkey sandwich not a BLT, no avocado. Manager was very nice and apologized for the kitchen staff. So we tried again today, we were seated and then watched multiple tables seated after us receiving service but no one approached our table. We left and will not be returning. It's 5:30pm in Wednesday. We ate there at 9:30am and I'm still feeling the meal...not in a good way. The place wasn't full and it took forever to get seated. My Dad said he always wanted to try the place but on the weekends the crowds are crazy. The food took a long time but I figured if it was delicious it would be worth it. The 2 egg breakfast was not worth the wait. The eggs were overdone so they were like brown scrambled and dry. The hash browns tasted fresh. The bacon was done correctly. The pancake tasted bland. It was dense not fluffy. Most pancake batters have some kind of flavor like sweet or I don't know. This one tasted like flour and water. Not great at all.
