Me and my mom came here for some breakfast due to having a gift card. We were greeted pretty quickly and the facility wasn't busy for a Monday. Our waiter was really nice and came to greet us quickly. He answered all our questions very nicely and was very patient. We ordered our food and drinks and he helped us with accommodations. I personally ordered the chorizo Benedict. It was very tasty! I asked for no jalapeno as I don't like spice. The waiter stated the cooks also didn't provide pico de gallo as there is jalapeno in it. I appreciated that they worked to really avoid the jalapeños like I requested. The potato's were also really good and flavorful! You get a decent amount of food per plate. I got full rather quickly, as well as my mom. We were able to get boxes and drinks to go. Overall this place was a nice experience today. All the staff were friendly and quick to service. Stopped by for a spontaneous brunch and had the classic experience of slow service and hearty food. Despite coming in on a Tuesday, there was a 15 minute waitlist for a table. After being seated, the server quickly took our orders. The drinks came out quickly but the food arrived after 30 minutes. Besides the initial interaction, we were not checked on afterwards. *Chilaquiles: came with a choice of green chile, ranchero or Christmas sauce. I chose the Christmas sauce so then I could try both options. However, the tortilla chips were so dry. There needed to be way more sauce to provide adequate flavor and softening. There wasn't any spice or acidity from either of the sauces. There was minimal chicken and the pico de gallo was limited to the small scoop on top. I couldn't taste the cilantro crema at all and this just tasted like a pile of chips with two sunny side eggs. *Espresso Martini: this was deep and rich without being cloyingly sweet. The foam was thick. Pleasant cold brew sweetened by the vanilla vodka and hazelnut. While the food and service were mediocre, I found my cocktail to be memorable. Went here once for a quick brunch on a weekday. Wasn't too crowded. Was easy to find, and the server was really friendly and helped us with good recommendations. I tried the chillaquillas, it was really good. However, I had tried it at another place it had more flavor and spices with it which I had like more. First time at Over Easy. Was happy they opened at 6:30 but the Yelp Reviews were not stellar. Menu is pretty basic, they feature several items that were on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Breakfasts range from about $14 to $18 which is pretty much on par these days. Ordered the Southwest Skillet with chorizo, potatoes, peppers, chili and black beans. If you want a slice of toast added it's an additional $2.50 if you want two slices it is $4.50... WTF? Did not ask about English Muffin. Dish was ample, service was very good as was the food. Did not really need the bread, however the add on pissed me off. Who charges an extra $4.50 for toast? First and last time here, too many other choices in area if you can wait until 700 am. read more

Our first time here and was pleasantly surprised. The building itself looks like a fast food joint and wow was it busy! They had outside seating and it was packed as well. We were greeted by our smiling and very nice server who took our orders, delivered our drinks and kept checking up on us. She had on the coolest ring.. it looked like a crown. On a Saturday morning when these types of places are usually hopping we sat down and had probably the worst breakfast we have ever had dining out. The food was practically inedible for all of us. The fruit that came with the kids food was absolutely terrible. Smashed blueberries? Why serve them? We were there very early and can't imagine them serving the amount of people they were about to serve the same quality. 65 dollars later and very disappointed we will not be going back. IHOP would have been 10 times better. I can't justify spending almost 20 a person for what is supposed to be a nice experience and a whole mood to sit down for a nice breakfast. Forgot to mention the refill on our coffee was COLD. Nope. Never again. Don't bother with this place. read more

I have been coming to this Over Easy location for over 4 years now and it has always been a great experience. The staff is tremendous and very friendly to me. The food is always delicious. This place has been a hit and miss for us, sometimes really good but then there are visits like our last. We sat at the counter instead of waiting for a table. The server got us a coffee but didn't bring us menus, finally had to go to the hostess and ask where we could get a menu. Once we had our menus we waited about 10 more minutes for our server to come over. It looked as though she and a few other servers had much to talk about at the other end of the counter. She took our order and after another 25 minutes our food came out. I ordered 2 eggs and 1 sausage link that was so tough I couldn't eat it. It was like it had been microwaved too long. No one ever asked how we were doing or how the food was, not even when she saw the sausage on my plate when we asked for the check. After this miss, we will never return. read more

I've only ordered from here. I haven't visited the restaurant, yet. The potatoes O'Brien were delicious! They're very flavorful and come in a large portion. The toast was great, too. The bread was fresh and of good quality. The bacon was yummy, as well. The banana nut French toast was fabulous. My iced chai was really good...I wish it was a bit larger. My son enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. He says he wishes it had sausage patties versus links. It's a bit expensive, but the portions are large. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast and the o brien potatoes were pretty good, could have been cooked a little longer, the sourdough toast was not good and the bread was deformed and the eggs and sausage was just not great. I'm glad I gave Over Easy a second chance. Husband and I went to Over Easy in Tempe, just out exploring. The staff really touted their items highlighted by Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. So we tried some; Chicken and Waffles and Chicken Fried Steak. So disappointing. Plate looks nothing like the picture on the website and flavor was pretty bland and blah. A thin, plain waffle with overdone Chicken Strips. At least the Bloody Mary was spot on. So happened to go to the Over Easy in Mesa and what a difference. I had the Hatch 505, totally amazing and that's what they should've served to Guy. Such a creative dish; pulled pork with a spicy but balanced sauce on top of a biscuit with poached eggs. Delicious! My husband and Grand son enjoyed their omelets as well. What a difference between the 2 locations. Will definitely go back to the Mesa location; they get the 5 stars. To sum it up... could be better... hence the 2 stars. The menu is a bit overwhelming, so you kind of get lost trying to figure out what's really their specialty. They do have a little section on the menu that highlights some of their "as seen on tv" but that's not the signature things they are known for, just what's been seen. So where to start... like any place, Mimosa flight. Had strawberry, Guava & 2 Classics to share. The strawberry & guava seems more like sugar purée. Skip and stick with the classics! After a few recommendations from the server, we decided to go with a Chicken, Fried Chicken with house potatoes & scrambled eggs (instead of toast, a single pancake for $1 more) and the Hawaiian-style burger with no bun called the Loko Moko. Our server highly recommended the cinnamon roll so we did as a half-order. When the food arrived, we both gravitated to the butter sitting on the cinnamon roll, and on my single pancake... noticed it wasn't melting, which was an indication that our food was not really hot. Everything about the meal could've been better, mainly due to it being served lukewarm & not hot off the griddle. I wasn't a fan of the syrup container that came out but the flavor just didn't seem to resonate with me. The cinnamon roll was dry. However, the pancake was decent. The chicken fried chicken needed some more seasoning as it was just flour & battered. Glad I didn't get the chicken & waffle as that would have been a double disaster I feel with it being warm and underseasoned. Other locations here in the valley so I'll give them a try with a better emphasis on my meal being served up hot and fresh. It was way overpriced and portions are very small. In fact I was still very hungry after having the corn beef hash and eggs. Cost 16.29 just for 2 eggs, ONE piece of burnt toast and shaved corn beef pieces -nothing else included in the corn beef literally was chunks of beef and eggs and burnt toast. Only part that was good was the flute of mimosas. Won't ever go again. I'm m at the Mesa. AZ location of Over Easy for the first time. I saw it featured on the Food Network and realized I was less than 3 miles away. What a treat! I LOVE the show, "The Best Thing I Ever Ate." So I ordered the Waffle Dogs. I ate 1 and a half and boxed the rest for another day of my visit. The coffee was also delicious. The breakfast potatoes (second try since first were cold) were awesome, a good amount of peppers and great flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was also good. It is a thick cut, so be warned. I liked mine crispy, but my hubby thought that was too tough. I thought it was just right. The special bread was also really good especially with the fresh peach jam. A glass of fresh squeezed orange juice is always welcomed. Pancakes were not so great. A bit tough. The manager stopped by, offered apologies and to have them remade. My son offered to take me to breakfast on Sunday and I decided we would check this place out. The parking lot was full, so that is always a good sign. There were several people standing outside, so we knew there would be a slight wait. My son got us checked in and within 30 minutes he got the text that our table was ready. We decided on Mango Mimosas to start, that was a fantastic start! They were very tasty. Being our first time here, we both studied the menu a bit prior to ordering. I always know what I want, but my son needed time. I requested the traditional eggs benedict with hash browns and my son chose an omelet. I always judge breakfast eateries based on how well they do the Benny..... The eggs benedict were absolutely DELICIOUS! I have to say that they were probably the best I have ever had anywhere. There was more than paprika sprinkled on the top, it had a zing/spice to it that I loved. Unfortunately, the hash browns were a little over cooked, but that didn't stop me from devouring them. My son really enjoyed his omelet and hash browns as well. We will definitely be back, I need to try other opitions from their menu! I've been visiting this location since they first opened in East Mesa!! Another SUPER TASTY and AMAZINGLY HOSPITABLE experience!! Can't get enough of the California Omelette (with full eggs and a side of bacon) and the potatoes O'Brien and a jalapeño cheddar biscuit!! Chris has always had a great team of hosts, servers, and chefs! Today, ALEX was simply amazing!! It was my birthday brunch and he was so attentive!! Always checked in at the right time to fill up my water and coffee. Quite helpful with extra stuff like pico de gallo, etc!
