Most likely won't return to this place. They have amazing prices for happy hour like $2 cheesesteaks, $1 beers, and $5 chicken parm but it's really not worth the hassle. GET THERE EARLY! We were lucky to get seats at the bar, cause people stay for hours and there's an obnoxious amount of people standing around you waiting for you to get up. Bartenders were rude. Younger guy didn't say a word and was super inattentive. We wanted to order food/drinks and this schmuck took 10 mins to finally tell us the process of ordering food and to pour 3 beers. The other bartender was constantly correcting him in a rude tone cause he did nothing. Food wasn't worth the cheap price. Waitress was the sweetest woman you'll ever meet. Absolutely the rudest bar tender we ever had!! We will never ever come back here again. Came here for the Eagles game. My friend tried numerous times to order food were as she had to finally said I need to order food.. Which she was completely told I don't answer to that. Although getting your attention was difficult to have to beg behind the keg station seemed to be a problem. And as for the other one how do you order a $4 mix and $2 draft take a $10 and give $1.50 change!! As good as people say it is.. Guess what terrible treatment, By your bartender that thinks he is too good to take your order. Well we are not kissing no one's butt too get a drink. We were very polite and not intoxicated. We wanted to have a great experience at your bar and these two ruined it !! Zero in on my money ask me why a$10 was taken at the beginning of his shift for two drinks not adding up. Skip it. While a member of my family absolutely loves this place (for the wing prices), the rest of the experience is not worth the trip. We go almost every year when in town for that reason, but my last experience was the final straw. The food deals are seriously the absolute cheapest you'll find in the area, but the food isn't very tasty or fresh. We ordered shrimp two different ways (popcorn and fried) and just looking at it, I could tell they had both just come out of a freezer -- they were still white and bluish under the popcorn breading. The bartender was miserable. I was the youngest in the group (26) and his first approach to me was very harshly asking for my ID like I must be underage and what a headache that would be for him. When I asked him about an item on the menu, he snapped "I'M NOT YOUR WAITRESS." In years past I've sat at a table and hadn't remembered ordering both a drink and food (they have to be done separately). The waitress was actually very sweet, which is why I'm giving this two stars. But I do feel like people from the town don't love the tourist season and this is definitely a local spot. Class...how NOT to cook an Owens Burger 101. Deliver cold fries and a cool/luke warm burger to the table...when the customer smiles and apologizes while explaining the issue, tell the guest. "well i didnt cook it, but I'll take care of it"...bring new platter to the guest even though the cheese and toppings are melted to complete nothingness...revisit the table in 5 minutes only to see the meal has still been untouched due to an obvious microwaved hamburger that is now hard as a brick, dry as the Sahara, and well well well done...last step...after hearing the guest call the cook an idiot, (may not have been the smartest thing to say, but the rest of the table was 2/3 of the way thru their dinners by now), give the entire table attitude, then come back and just toss the check on the table before forcing out the words, "have a nice evening" as you walk away. Nothing in this review...NOTHING...has been exaggerated or twisted. I go to Owens 1 or 2 times s month in the Summer...shame. read more

The old lady at the seating hostess station is one of the most miserable and rude persons I've ever encountered - you would think she must scare some customers away, but the place is always packed. Just average. Their fries are flavorless and soggy. Their crab cakes are crispy but too much salt compared to the flavorless fries. We went in a big group and were seated on 2 different tables, the waitress messed up the order and got confused among 2 tables. This place does not accept credit cards Aka cash only. They also scan your ID if you want to order drinks. The water in their bathroom sink is so hot! I know a couple customers have complained about this but their temperature is not adjustable. read more

We had such a fun Saturday night at this Irish pub. Bring your cash as they don't take credit cards. So many TV's for everyone to watch their favorite sport. The bar is pretty big and plenty of seats to go around. Drinks are reasonable and the bar tenders were great. Wonderful service. They do serve food but but my advice and suggestion is don't get fancy stick to simple sandwiches or fried snacks. There is a separate dining room from the bar area. Very mixed groups that seem to mesh together to have a blast. Lots of dancing but no dance floor needed. Made lots of friends and grouped together with people to play name that tune. $100 prize to the high scorer and no cheating b/c they are watching. Owen's Pub is one of the most popular North Wildwood spots- so much so that I reserve my Owen's trips for the off season. The best part about Owen's- and what draws the biggest crowds- are the week night specials. During specials, wait times can be 45 minutes to an hour. Here are some of the details, and I know I'm leaving some stuff out: - Monday: Cheese Steak, $1.95 -Tuesday: Chicken/Eggplant Parm, $2.99 -Wednesday: Wing night -Thursday: Cheese Burgers, $2.50 -Sunday: Steak & Shrimp, $9.99 Their regular menu is pretty good too, my personal favorite is the Chicken Cheese Steak which comes with chips and a pickle. The rest of the menu has your typical bar fare at reasonable prices. The onion rings are great, but you can do without the fries. Most recently they got rid of one of my favorite menu items- the fried Mac & Cheese- I hope this is just temporary (fingers crossed). Warning- they do not use coke or pepsi products, instead they have RC cola. I always stick to water or lemonade here. There is a bar and a sit down section, no out door dining options. The Pub is covered with TVs playing various sports and news shows. Parking is limited, so if you're within walking distance, walk. read more

We went to the bar Friday night. The female bartender was rude and argumentative to all of the customers. She was insisting people wear a mask while seated at the bar. This year they opened an outside bar and a tent with outdoor seating which was a great addition. The staff is always friendly and the bar tenders are the best! Went to Owens Pub for take out tonight. Burgers and fries. Everything was delicious. They have this take out deal all figured out! What great service. I called and placed my order. We pulled up out front and were immediately greeted by a waitress who took my name and returned promptly with our order. And I give them major kudos for their take out packaging!!! This is my second visit to Owens, and it was as good as the first. On my first I had burger ( forgot the variety) and it was very good. I ate at the bar, had a terrific beer, and enjoyed the vibe. I knew I would come back. This time sat at one of the tables. The wait staff was very welcoming. I ordered a Greek Salad with blackened chicken. When it was on the table, I was thinking, how am I going to eat all this ? But I did! Highly recommend what appears to be a local treasure. I'd go out of my way to come back here. The food is fresh. Owens is known for cheap dinner specials and their bar. The bar is nice, well stocked, knowledgeable and friendly bar tenders. There are a ton of televisions for the size of the place, so you'll never miss any of the action when games are being played! Their restaurant section is also nice, not separated by anything other than a half wall/glass, so you will hear anything on the televisions and the bar. Still would take my kids there, it's not a rowdy scene at all. It's always been clean and organized when I have been in there. Food is okay. Nothing exciting, but the specials are cheap (Ex: $1.95 cheesesteaks on Monday) as long as you purchased a beverage. I personally did not like the pasta special (chicken Parmesan over spaghetti), I found their sauce to be very watery and the noodles over cooked. Wings are not very big or meaty, and if you get them "plain/dry" they are VERY tough. Get them with sauce. Appetizers are good, especially the taco filled deep fried app. read more

I really love this place. Partially because I live one block from it but I have yet to be disappointed. They have amazing specials throughout the week and their happy hour is the best on the island in my opinion. Like most places down in WW, they don't take cards so have cash or be ready to tap the ATM. I have yet to be here during busy season but can see that this place will get packed. As for the food, we all loved it. I've read other reviews about their burgers and cheesesteaks being dry but this was the case for neither. Again, it may be because I have been their during off season and they were less busy but I had no complaints. My father ordered the Owens Burger and enjoyed the size and taste of the patty. I have to say, he complains about almost everything everywhere we go and he actually liked it. My mother and I both had the Mexican Chicken Cheesesteak which was a chicken cheesesteak with cheese, salsa, lettuce, and sour cream. It was absolutely awesome. I don't know if I will venture from this next again. The bar and even dining area has a million tvs. It is impossible to miss a baseball game while here. You will be able to see it where ever you look. Also, every time I have been there, it has been so immaculate clean that you could eat off the floor if you want. I'm very disappointed how my 19 year old children were treated at Owens. They were denied entry because they were not accompanied by an adult over 21.. i've never heard of such a thing. There were even friends of mine who vouched for them, that wasn't good enough. Not sure what there motive was but it just sucks. Best food in Wildwood, NJ. Unbelievable prices. Monday $1.99 Philly Cheesesteaks. Special starts at 11:30am and runs all day. Philly are really good. This quality at this price why go to Pats, Genos, or Tony Luke's. Tuesday special is chicken parm with spaghetti at $2.99, Wednesday is wings $2.99 and Thursday is cheeseburger $2.99. All specials are great. I like the philly and the cheeseburger. The kids like the chicken parm and wings. Place is exceptionally clean and kid friendly. I haven't been to Wildwood in years, but we stopped here on Friday night of Easter weekend. We were seated right away, and service was fast. The appetizers we got were what you would expect from a pub--mozzarella sticks and nachos. I was impressed with the chicken sandwich that I ordered, although I now forget which kind it was. Poor Owen's. Talk about resting on your Laurels & your Hardys too. I was here opening day and a thousand times since. Used to live down the street so, I would be here year 'round. Try to stop by every time I'm back on the island, although I think I may have to find a new place. Disinterested bartenders, unless you're a regular.
