    36. Buffalo Bill (no bbq sauce)
    Michelle Z.

Stopped here on our crosstown trail hike and it was the perfect spot for a filling lunch! I had heard great things about this spot but it still blew me out of the water. We got the buffalo bill sandwich on dutch crunch and it was a virtually perfect sandwich! We got it with no bbq sauce and on dutch crutch. The bread was so fantastic!! We particularly liked the coleslaw addition and the flavor of the roast beef. It was super flavorful and fresh. The sandwich is hearty enough to be shared between two people and the price is decent for what you get! No seating inside since it's a grocery store but we were able to eat it during our walk just fine. The service is very friendly and there wasn't too long of a wait after we ordered.

Stopped by here while doing the SF Crosstown Trail and I'm so happy I was able to check them out! The employees were so fun to talk to, and the market carries a large variety of everything you would need. From the deli, we ordered the Godmother, which was absolutely scrumptious. The sandwiches were extremely large, and I was able to split this easily with a friend and still feel full. I loved how generous they were with the amount of meat, and the flavors of everything together were super good. It was a fantastic sandwich. I highly recommend giving this place a try! They don't have any seating, but there's parks in the area to eat. Definitely stop by if you're doing the trail. :)

AMAZING sandwiches!! They're not the cheapest (around $14-20 depending on the sandwich), but these sandwiches are HEFTY and could feed 2 people. So far my favorite has been the #1 Cali Club (on dutch crunch bread of course), but I can't wait to go back and try more options!

I love those sandwiches. I've challenged myself to go through all the numbers. Yet find it hard to decide when I get there Everything is so good

What a hidden gem! Stopped here on my way to the giants game to get a sandwich and this place blew me away. Parking was really easy, but it is next to a school so I'd imagine pick up time gets pretty hectic. Cute convenience store with all the snacks, including an insane amount of ice cream choices. The deli counter is clean and full and I chose the #1 Cali Club. The sandwich was AH-MAZING! It was big enough to share and came with a generous amount of deli meat, cheese, avocado, and all the standard sandwich goodies.

Sandwiches are okay, but the atmosphere is a literal health hazard. I walked in and placed an order for 2 sandwiches with the man behind the counter. He told me it would be a few minutes, so while I waited, I went to the refrigeration section to pick out a couple of soft drinks. At that moment, I observed the same man confidently lighting a cigarette INDOORS, right in front of the deli counter. I cannot believe the audacity of this establishment to allow smoking indoors and continue to smoke while I wait in the cash register to be rung up. The smell of cigarette smoke was so overwhelming that it completely ruined my appetite at the time so I figured I'd wait to open it until I got home. I wanted to make sure the sandwich maker had a tip for his effort and wasn't punished for the misdeeds of the rude smoking cashier. But I also find it ridiculous that the lowest auto tip amount is 10% in a Bodega with no option to type your own. By the time my appetite returned, I was home. The sliced parts of the sandwich halves had absorbed the cigarette smell so much so that I had to cut a significant portion of the sandwiches off.

First time trying out this spot and it's safe to say I would be coming back again! The sandwich was pretty stacked with meat, pesto, cheese, and avocado. It was delicious, not too sloppy as you can actually take a bite of the sandwich and not have it all fall apart. The Dutch crunch bread gave it the perfect touch every bite.

    Burnt sandwich very disappointed

Burnt sandwich was disappointed this time around. If you see the bread is burnt why would you still make the sandwich and give it to the customer? Do you want returning customers????

Oxbridge Market is the source of legitimately the largest sandwich I've ever eaten. They're not cheap, but a single sandwich easily feeds two people. My partner and I nearly got our own and I'm so glad we didn't. The sandwich is so large it's hard to even take a bite, but the flavors are would definitely recommend to any crosstown hikers or sandwich lovers in the area

Good sandwich, quick service (best to call ahead) and easy to pickup with parking nearby/on the way to a park day, etc.

Sandwich was solid--fresh bread, quality fillings, and not overloaded with sauce. Simple, good, and hits the spot. I'd come back!

My go to favorite deli sandwiches! Hidden gem! The sandwhiches are big enough to split between two people.

We've been to Ingredients a couple of times now, and after tonight I really felt like I needed to write a review. I've lived in San Francisco for more than 30 years and have eaten all over the city. Ingredients is genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in years. The food is phenomenal, but a huge part of what makes this place so special is Jackie and the level of hospitality he brings to the experience. Tonight we basically told him what we were in the mood for and let him guide us. He recommended an incredible off-menu wine and helped us put together exactly the meal we wanted. We wanted something fresh and green to start, but none of the salads on the menu were quite what we had in mind. Rather than just asking us to choose something else, they offered to create something for us. What came out was an incredibly bright, fresh salad with pomegranate, figs and assorted greens. It was fantastic. Then came the momos, which were incredible, followed by the steak special with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was beautifully prepared and genuinely delicious. What really sets Ingredients apart, though, is the hospitality. Jackie didn't just take an order. He listened to what we wanted, made thoughtful recommendations, worked with the kitchen and guided the whole experience. Nothing felt forced or performative. It was simply someone who is exceptionally good at hospitality taking care of his guests. Ingredients delivers the kind of quality and experience that makes you feel you're getting more than you paid for. The ingredients, cooking, wine and personal attention are all exceptional. After more than 30 years of eating in San Francisco, I don't say this lightly: Ingredients has given us some of the best food and one of the best overall dining experiences I've had in this city in a very long time. We'll absolutely be back. That's the version I'd put on Yelp. It reads like an enthusiastic regular customer rather than a restaurant critic, which is exactly what you want there.

Guess the total? $76 or so. Not a bargain by any means. If you happen to be walking by, and don't want to spend more than $17 on drinks, it's worth a look inside at the very least.

I got the last bottle. This is some very good juice. Slightly sweet with a bit of butterscotch on the back. Not super oakey.
