Another installment of the chef that runs Spain Wine Bar, this is located within spitting distance to MR Ducks. Formerly the Marina Deck. We had a reservation for 8:30 and made it there via uber around 8:15. They didn't look particularly busy, but I always prefer leaning on a reservation rather just pulling up and getting popped if a place is busy. We were sat near the windows and our waitress took our drink order. We started sharing the cream of crab soup which was served with a toasted baguette. The flavor was good - a little on the watery side, but still a good soup. I liked the toasted baguette as a side car dipper in the soup. For the entree - we picked several small plates to eat from: Carrots - good flavor with the sauce underneath them and the ricotta cheese garnish as well. Brussel sprouts: a standard execution of these- crispy with balsamic glaze on and under them. Pork Bao Buns: I really liked these - shaved pork with a good sauce and creamy sauce on top of them. Very good probably favorite item. Potatoes: fingerling potato is in a buttery sauce. These were fine - nothing special and that's ok. Short Rib & Potato Puree: tender meat on top of potato puree and garnished with oil and gravy. Very very good - so tender and very good. Steak on Stick: Meat was cold - flavor was ok. For dessert we each decided on one item: me the basque cheesecake. This was good - I really liked the fruit compote and garnish. Unfortunately - we also ordered the beignets which they were out of. The waitress decided to also replace those with the flan - which we don't really like. Kind of odd to do that without asking first. Overall - it was good, I would return.

I went with my husband for date night. To start, parking was insanely difficult. They have more than enough parking lot, but we came during some sunset cruise for another business and there was no parking at all. We got lucky in the end, but I would go early if you have a reservation. Once seated, the upstairs deck was beautiful. You get great bay views, they have nice umbrellas (it was too windy to have them up when I went), and there was a nice breeze. My waiter, Vlad, knew a lot about the menu. He was quick to refill our drinks and timed out our food well. As for the food, everything was incredible. It is the same concept as their restaurant, Spain, across the street. I would say they are the same quality and delicious, it just depends what exact menu items you prefer. My favorites here were the tuna tartare, grilled carrots, and guajillo steak. Even the items I didn't prefer as much were still delicious. I would definitely go back and continue to enjoy this ocean city gem.

Oyster and Scales was truly such an incredible meal in Ocean City, filled with so much flavor, uniqueness and deliciousness. I went with a bigger group, so we practically ordered the entire menu. However, it was worth it. The fish was so fresh, with the branzino being the star of the show. The oysters were very good and the short rib and steak tips melted in your mouth. Everything was so fresh and prepared and presented so nicely. We kindly asked the chef to cut up the branzino and he did it without hesitation! Our waiter was very nice and accommodating, too. It was the total package for a meal and really adds to the wonderful food scene that is growing in Ocean City!

Very tasty dinner - the lobster bisque ranked a 10. So did the Caesar salad. Yes we would come Back loved the quiet view of boats . The ambiance of deep tones was inviting and beautiful.

Absolutely loved our girls night at Oyster & Scale! We have been regular customers at Spain, so it was about time that we got over to this new spot. The ambience is incredible! And our waiter, Dimitri was outstanding, and had the best personality. He was extremely knowledgeable and was eager to give recommendations.

I will start with the positives. Our server, Vlad, was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu! He was amazing! The mint to be mocktail was refreshing. I would order that anywhere. The restaurant is also beautiful inside. All of the restaurants the owner runs, are gorgeous. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. I made a reservation two months in advance and when my wife and I, date night, got to the hostess stand, they could not find my reservation. Apparently they, by accident, clicked my name for a reservation for people that were not me and my wife. Regardless of that we were sat on the rooftop. My wife and I ordered a few small plates. The best dishes were the beef satay and ceviche. Those were certainly four stars. The shrimp croquettes had no shrimp flavor but were very crispy. That dish was a completely miss with it tasting like absolutely nothing; it lacked seasoning. Now for the last dish we got was the rockfish bao buns. This was the craziest thing that has ever happened to me in a restaurant! When I but into the rockfish bao, the fish inside was pink and tasted like salmon. I asked Vlad, the server, to ask the chef to look at the fish, which was fried with a breadcrumb, and find out if they used salmon instead of rockfish. Vlad came back minutes later and apologized that the chef had no idea how that happened they fried the wrong fish, put it in the bao buns, and sent it to a table. Let me tell you, there is zero fried salmon on the menu so i do not know how such a huge mistake happened. Vlad had them make us another rockfish bao bun and they got it right that time. I was shocked that the manger did not come out and apologize to us for such a huge mistake by passing off salmon as rockfish. They let a young, brand new server, apologize for the chef. Let me say, I am not one to complain but that was ridiculous.

Celebrated my birthday here, and I'm so glad we did. We caught the end of restaurant week specials: $55 for three courses is a steal! My husband and daughter had oysters to start, and I had a half avocado stuffed with shrimp salad... delicious. We tried all three entrées on the specials menu: smoked airline chicken, beef short ribs and rockfish. They were all good. The basque cheesecake served with fresh berries was incredible, as was the chocolate mousse. Cocktails were delicious, and they even brought over complementary champagne for my birthday. Service was great! The room is large (and a bit noisy) with incredible views of the sunset. Can't wait to return!

Beautiful ambiance, excellent service from Makai, and delicious, fresh seafood. Live jazz and blues music was a plus. The owner Peter was friendly and welcoming. One of Ocean City's finest!

We were in Ocean City for two days searching for a restaurant with great food and beautiful views, and this place exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of the experience was outstanding. The menu offers a fantastic selection of tapas-style dishes along with delicious main entrées. We shared the flank steak, asparagus, and oysters to start, and for our entrée we had the whole branzino with fingerling potatoes--everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Claudia, was exceptional. She was warm, attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and beverage menu, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Ocean City!

The restaurant is beautiful. The tables, chairs all perfectly matched and aligned. The bar is spacious and lit with crystal chandeliers with lamps on the bar. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has small bites and I ordered three different ones. The flank steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. I also ordered the shrimp croquettes, they were my favorite. I also got an order of calamari, I loved the breading but it was a little chewy. Overall excellent restaurant, I will be back.

Now, 50 years later, Phillips is gone and many establishments advertise their Crabs as the best in OC. Lo and behold, just steps away from our Courtyard Marriott is the Crab Stop. It's before season so many places are still closed but the Owner answered when I called, had a great sense of humor, and happily took my order for a designated pick up time. We arrived 10 minutes early and they had just completed the order, packed it up, and we were out the door in minutes. This is a Father/Son establishment. Not much has changed with the ambiance - bar atmosphere, with each time there being a live music act when we came in to eat. As a party of 10 the last two years (a yearly trip) we were sat in front of the music. Not my favorite place as it's hard to have a conversation but the music was good. We had a younger waiter take care of us - we put in some drinks - I ordered a blackberry bourbon tea. It wasn't very sweet or flavorful. Almost like it was watered down. Meh. We put in several apps to start our meal: crab pierogis, cheesesteak egg rolls and crab dip. The crab pierogis sounded good - but the sauce on them or around them was watery. Another person in our party got the crab corn chowder- it was watery. Chowders are thicker, not thin. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good - had a nice flavor to them. The crab dip was very very flavorful - maybe one of the best on the island I have had. For my meal I ordered the Baltimore bird which is fried chicken topped with crab dip. It was a HUGE piece of chicken and looked great -- then I took a bite. The chick was raw inside. Hoping it was just a part of the breast I bit into another part - middle chicken was pink and raw. What makes matters even worse was the Heinz ketchup bottle on the table - billed as a Pittsburgh bar - did not have Heinz in it. Ketchup was way too sweet - definitely off brand. We shared desserts as a table - the brownie Ala mode and the tower brownie cheesecake. Both were.. well small. Good taste but, limited. Again - just ok overall.

Helpful counter gal helped us make choices as we are BLUE CRAB VIRGINS! We chose 1 1/2 dozen medium to large crabs for two people. Based on other reviews, I also ordered a single crab cake, corn and hush puppies for the man. I asked her to send someone out to demonstrate how to open the crabs, and she said absolutely! After a short (seemed really long) wait sipping Coke and water with our toes in the sand under the paper covered table, our crabs were steamed and brought out. A cheerful young man showed us how to open the crabs and which parts we wanted to remove and discard. Armed with the provided mallet and pick, we went to work. On first smash, husband sprayed me with crab juice, so I donned a charming and attractive plastic bib for the remainder of the meal. Technique improved with practice, but I found it to be a lot of work for a tiny amount of meat. Very flavorful, and improved by dipping in drawn butter and old bay seasoning, my little pile of crab meat was shoveled into my mouth with a fork as no pieces were very large. I made time to try the crab cake and munch on the corn in between wrestling with the blue crabs. Crab cake was not as much crab as filler, although tasty enough, it wasn't the best I have had. The corn was stellar, not mushy or overcooked. His hush puppies were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. A generous serving, we took half home for the air fryer. We devoured every last bite of the crab though! A real treat occurred when we were nearly finished with our meal, the owner Rob came out to chat. Fascinated by his slip trip and fall prevention device, we had a long conversation about his inventions and marketing them. He shared his business card and even demonstrated the wet floor verbal indicator. Husband really enjoyed meeting him and talking (engineer to engineer). It made the day!

We ordered the seafood combo that included six hard-shell crabs, three pounds of snow crab legs, a half-pound of shrimp, corn, and hush puppies. The hard-shell crabs were decent, although they seemed slightly oversteamed. The meat in the legs was practically fused to the shell, making them difficult to eat. The snow crab legs were good, but the shrimp were noticeably undercooked, which made peeling them nearly impossible. There were a few bright spots. The beer was reasonably priced at $4.50 a pint, and the hush puppies were excellent--arguably the best part of the entire meal. The corn, however, was tough and seemed past its prime. For the roughly $145 we spent on the combo, I expected a better overall dining experience. Sadly, this seems to be the standard at many seafood restaurants these days: higher prices without a corresponding increase in quality. And while it's a minor issue compared to the food, the deck seating chairs were surprisingly uncomfortable and felt out of place for a restaurant charging these prices. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but it fell well short of expectations given the cost.

I waited a few minutes to be seated. I asked to be near a window. I wanted to soak up some more time looking at the sights and the lighting was perfect. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with regular bacon vs Canadian bacon, and swapped out the potatoes for fresh fruit, and an order of pancakes. Everything was fantastic! My sandwich was in a brioche bun and it complimented it perfectly! The fruit was a decent serving size. I also opted for some pancakes. I just had to satisfy a craving. It was two pancakes served with fresh fruit, powdered sugar and syrup. It hit the spot. Their menu had a few crab options for those who are looking for breakfast that includes crab. They honestly had something for everyone. Pricing was on point for it being a hotel, on the beach etc. It was to be expected. There is a comp for staying at the hotel, which helps off set the cost. My waitress was fantastic. She was hustling and taking care of all the things. She had someone help run food which I'm sure was helpful. Only downside for me was a family behind me sitting had a dog and I could smell it. Not sure if it was a service animal or not. But, yeah just something I noticed. I will definitely come back. I enjoyed my food, and the ambiance.
