Stopped by for a quick grab and go slice of pizza, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for an actual meal since the pizza wasn't amazing. There's some pizzas that are in the display to choose a slice from. I got the chicken and mushroom pesto pizza and the slice was big but $8 so overall not worth the price. Could've been more flavorful. An option if you are super hungry and it's open late at night.

Pretty good pizza, good selection to choose from, helpful staff. Open late. We enjoyed our mushroom feta pepperoni slice and bbq chicken add pineapple slice. Parking can be hard to find unless you get lucky. This was our 2nd time here and I'm sure we'll be back.

Oz Pizza is a counter-serve fast casual pizza joint in the Castro. There's no ambiance to speak of, but it seems to be the place to get a slice quickly for lunch and then go. I haven't seen anyone meet friends or camp out here. There was a language barrier when I tried to order, but was eventually able to put in the request. The draw here for me was the exotic meats, which as of my visit were alligator, ostrich, and deer. I ordered the "Ostrich the bitch", which comes with chopped ostrich meat, peaches, red pepper, and basil. I modified my cheese for vegan cheese because of a dairy restriction. The pizza was disappointing, though I'm glad I was able to try something relatively exotic with easy accessibility. It would likely have been better with dairy cheese, but regardless, the toppings didn't work for me. They seemed randomly selected instead of working together. This will also be my last time trying ostrich, but that's just personal preference.

    Best pizza in the Castro!

After bar-hopping up and down the Castro, my friends and I got a case of the drunchies - where better to go than a grab-and-go pizza joint? Oz seemed like the perfect spot to grab a slice, plop down on the patio seating and enjoy the best people-watching in all of SF ;) This place offers everything! From classic Hawaiian to Ostrich the Bitch (ostrich, peaches, red bell pepper, basil), their menu is a playground that'll keep you on your toes. They also offer salads, but I'm pretty sure the star of the show is their pizza. Every slice was perfection. The cheese was stretchy, the crust was crispy and the flavor combos will 100% you coming back for seconds and thirds!

Good for those late night, after the bars meal. The pizza flavors and toppings looked promising, but they didn't deliver when I tasted. Big slices and will fill you up for your pizza fix!

It is just not the great place that it once was. Their New York style pizza is so-so, but not their New York style attitude. This is the Castro and it should be about being nice to people. They just don't appear to want customers to come in. It is too bad. It used to be much better.

Pizzas look like they've been sitting out all day and were cold. The cashier rude when I said something about the pizza being cold and said that's how it's supposed to be. He barely heated mine up. Won't be back.

This is the meat combo and the cheese pull was fantastic!

fantastic cheese pull! The ambiance is quick and quaint. The service is fast. You will be happy you found this gem in the Castro.

Honestly, super great pizza. Comes at a bit of a premium price, but the slices are huge and it is SF. Got the figgy pizza, a meat lovers, and the pesto pizzas (was super hungry). Those three were delicious, but the fig one really stood out. There's tons of toppings - large amount of dried figs and meat! We originally came here to try their "weird" meats - ostrich, deer! But since we came late, they were all out. They said if you want to try it, you have to come Lunch time on a Friday or Saturday, otherwise they'll be out super fast. Good spot, good service, good pizza. Loved it.

I wish they would mention that their weekend morning to lunch menu is different from the one displayed on their website. I drove all the way here for the main pizzas/pastas for my birthday, but we were only limited to breakfast food and burgers on a weekend afternoon. Also, I understand that weekends get busy, but our server did not check on us at least once. They were only present to take our orders and then drop off the check. As a former server myself, I am very aware of these things. It appeared that there was some down time to check on a simple 2-top as she was walking up and down scanning the tables. I can say that this is not reflective of the previous times I've dined here as the service has always been very pleasant, and the food never disappoints. For minimum $20 per entree, you would expect the servers to check-in on how the table finds their food and whether or not there is something they can provide to make it better.

I also tried the Kale Caesar Salad, which has the makings of another favorite, but unfortunately the dressing was much too salty for my taste that day. I'll probably try it again sometime to see if that was just a one-time thing. The dining area is open, bright, clean, and comfortable. They rarely have a roasted tofu dish, brochettes seeing it on the menu, and having it pointed out by our waiter I definitely ordered it. Glad I did. It was awesome. The tofu was amazing, just perfect along with mushrooms, tomatoes and onion slices. All of it worked so well together. There was a side of orzo salad with a variety of fresh veggies mixed in- so good. I washed it down with an excellent glass of Sauvignon Blanc and plenty of water was provided. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake with ice cream and a peanut butter parfait. Both were good. The parfait came with candied peanuts and a brittle- a bit of a jaw breaker.
