Cheese Pizza & YOLO 'Roni Pepperoni

Stopped in for a few slices after walking by earlier in the day. Everything looked good, but we only tried the cheese and pepperoni. We asked the person working for a recommendation..but they didn't have the sausage and shrooms available by the slice, so we skipped it. Pizza was pretty solid..didn't feel too heavy and had the perfect amount of sauce and crunch. The space is small but super cute, and we had no trouble finding a seat since we arrived a little after 8pm. Overall, a nice spot for a casual slice!

With Round Table Pizza running around $30 per pie, I'd rather go here for the quality and crust. My go to is the plain old pepperoni and whatever you want to throw on it. There's no place to eat here. It's literally a grab and go spot, but be warned parking is super difficult. Thick and fluffy crust, decent sauce, and quality toppings. This is your thick crust bread pizza thay will fill you up with four slices or less!

The pizza was delicious. We came on a busy Saturday after visiting the Exploratorium. Not much seating inside, but the weather was really nice and they have a few outdoor tables/ the ice cream was very very good. I would give it an 8.5 overall.

You know Joyride Pizza has to be really good when you commit to bouncing from one location to another to add wings to your pizza order. Yeah, their wings are really great: Savory, fatty and pillowy especially when you drizzle hot honey over them. We picked up our "Too Good To Go" surprise pizza on Valencia (hello beautiful "Garden Goddess" with pesto, arugula, ricotta, red onion and tiny tomatoes) and wanted to add 18 chicken wings to our order. Somehow DoorDash cancelled it out. No matter, I stopped into the Union Street store on the way back from dropping off Finn at Letterman pool- and Joyride on Union was out of wings! If these wings weren't so good I would've never crossed town again- in Friday night traffic no less - but I did. It was worth it. Shout out to Valencia Street manager Nelson and Autumn on Joyride Union Street who personally placed our order- thank you!

Detroit-style pizza in SF. Thick pan pizza cut into rectangles with crispy edges and sauce over the cheese. Our build your own pizza had small smattering of pepperoni slices and black olives ($28 in 2025). I wasn't a big fan of the tomato sauce, but my friend loved it. The side order of the tater tots were marketed as kinda fancy with garlic gremolata, but they tasted very similar to regular tots ($8 in 2025). We ordered to go and picked it up. Really nice location inside and I had an nice interaction with the person behind the counter.

I wish I knew about this place sooner - I love the pizza sizes they offer, as well as the airy dough. My sister & I got the pepperoni and pizza bianca. Needless to say, both were delicious, with thick cuts of pepperoni, sweet cheese for the bianca & the delicious dough! My only suggestion is to add more indoor seating as it tends to be windy outside. Other than that, I highly recommend this place!

Ok but didn't live expectations. Friends have told me that this is the place to go for pizza. But after visiting and trying some, it's good but over-hyped. Good options and value is ok. I would go again if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.

Great place to visit after visiting the MOMA the food was delicious and the seating was nice especially with infants in our group. The prices were moderate and we will enjoy coming back again. Great location.

Delivery was prompt but Food was really bad. Yolo Roni Detroit style pizza undercooked. Cinnamon knots undercooked. Arugula salad blue cheese spoiled. Even canned limonata sodas were warm. Gonna be sick tonight. Don't bother with this place!

If you like Detroit style pizza then I'd check this place out for sure. They have many different ones to choose from, and you can order a personal or large size. The restaurant is super small, but they have two tables outside that you can sit on. You order through the large tablets set by the counter and you don't speak with anyone until they call your order out. The only thing I didn't like was that they put two different pizzas in the same box, which we didn't ask for. They made up for it by having great tasting pizza though. It was hard for me to choose which one I wanted to try.

Really really delicious slice! Like everything else, expensive, but heated up and sauce put on top after that. We went 2 nights in a row.

A delicious square pie! The cheese-covered crust was a standout. I ordered it for pickup, and it was ready in under 5 minutes (super quick). The flavor was fantastic, and the marinara on top added an extra layer of tastiness. The dough was soft and satisfyingly doughy. Highly recommend! The place has a fast-casual vibe that works well.

If you enjoy your pizza THICK, this is the place for you! I just got a slice of pepperoni but it filled me up due to the thickness of the dough. It's a square pizza so the crust around it is covered with cheese. You order from a kiosk and don't get much interaction with the employees. I know sometimes they have happy hour where some of the orders are half off which I think it's a great deal!

Can you do the crust Gluten free AND Dairy free at the same time?

Our gluten free crust is made with buttermilk powder. So, it’s not 100% dairy free. If that’s okay, we can ALSO make it with dairy free cheese, so it’s about 99.5% dairy free.

    How big is the pizza?

A slice is about 4x6. 2 is enough for an adult.

    Is this place pet friendly?

Yes, there's a bench right outside the door, plus more seating near the road.

Do they have any samovar tea drinks?

Samovar drinks are available from samovartea.com.

Is this place still open? Went by here last Tuesday around noon and they had sign outside saying they're "temporary closed to fix some issues". There Wasn't any date or time of when they would be back open

I saw it re/opened yesterday aug 11. Good luck!

If you're craving something refreshing, light, and fruity, the Sonoma is a must. The pears take it to the next level and give it that perfect sweet, crisp bite that makes every forkful feel extra refreshing. It's the kind of bowl you order when you want to feel bright and satisfied. Now if you're in the mood for something warm, crunchy, and nutty, the Bangkok Bowl is your girl. The texture, the richness, the cozy vibes -- chef's kiss. It's hearty without being heavy and hits all the comfort-food notes. And can we talk about portions?! These bowls are NO joke. I swear I made a huge dent in mine, looked down thinking I was almost done... only to realize I basically still had a whole second meal left. Instant take-home win. On top of all that, the staff is super friendly, the space is clean, bright, and welcoming, and the whole experience just feels good from start to finish. I came for the seasonal menu but I'll definitely be back for everything else too. If you're debating what to order: Sonoma for fresh + fruity, Bangkok for warm + crunchy -- you truly can't go wrong!

So while I can't speak to in person service or decor the delivery is on point. My peachy salad was just ok. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. Not to mention 1 of my visits was a pickup order and they completely forgot my dressing on the side. All in all, I am very let down by this place. Dare I say I love and prefer it to be Sweet Green. Bummer, I really was happy to have this in the area.

When I called to place a pickup order, I was asked for my full credit card number and expiration date before I'd even finished ordering. No legitimate phone ordering system needs your CVV read aloud over the phone; that's the kind of information you only enter yourself on a secure, encrypted checkout page. Asking for it verbally is a red flag for how they're handling (or storing) customer payment data. On top of that, the location was too busy for me to just park and order in person instead. The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.
