But what was truly unforgettable was the pizza itself--it was, hands down, one of the best I've ever had in the Bay Area. And let's be honest, the price was fair for a medium pizza. Bizza didn't skimp on toppings at all; they didn't cut corners, and you definitely get what you pay for. I was also surprised by their tip options, with 7% being the highest amount suggested. Was thrifting in the Haight and decided to grab dinner here at Bizza. Ironically didn't get pizza and instead opted for a burger and fries. After ordering, it took about 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready. Burger was the most mediocre burger possible, but the fries were solid. While visiting San Francisco my girlfriend and I found this place one night because we were in search of vegan options and this place was amazing!! We loved it so much that we came back a couple days later to try some more options and every slice we tried was incredible just like the first time!! The service was also very quick!! Pricing is WILDLY exploitive, and while I really (really) used to like this pizzaria, I will never again buy so much as a slice here. They are just exploiting people, and it doesn't make sense. One large cheese pizza is like $35. If you want one topping, add $4. I have gotten togo from Bizza before to take home, or to eat at GG Park when driving through the Haight. Lots of easy parking in Golden Gate, but if walking there are lots of tables between Fell & Oak , though I have opted at times to chill at Buena Vista Park to enjoy a meal. Also important to note that there is store at Central & Haight if you want to grab some beverages. Today though, I had a busy morning, and decided to have a Mushroom Pizza delivered. Nice thing about Bizza is that they use quality ingredients, and make a decent West Coast style pizza with a crust that does not become a mess when vegetable toppings are added. My usual go-to pizza spot stopped doing custom orders so I was on the look-out for a new pizza spot on DoorDash when I stumbled upon Bizza. Firstly, their menu and customization options is amazing! I love that they have vegan options and the option to not add cheese. As a lactose intolerant pizza loving fanatic, I was excited to have options! My boyfriend and I got medium pizzas. He got a pizza with fresh mozzarella, pepperoni and Italian sausage. I got the same thing but no cheese. The pizzas came quick and to our surprise it was filled with a lot of toppings! The sauce was flavorful and they put just the right amount (not too saucy and not too light). They also followed my boyfriend's instructions to put light cheese, which he was thankful they did. We're big crust fans so we were elated to see that the crust was thick and cooked perfectly. The only downside was they didn't fully cut our pizzas so we had to go back in and cut the slices all the way through. Overall, the pizzas were very flavorful and tasty! We'll definitely be ordering from Bizza again and next time we'll order directly from them since they do offer free delivery. The slices are large which is pretty standard and they have all the regular topping combos. Good tasting pizza, but I'm from San Diego and Bronx is still better in my opinion. They have a good Yelp discount though! The interior is cute but the reason it was only okay was mostly because the people working there were pretty unfriendly. Not being from here, maybe my expectations are too high every time I walk into a restaurant of any sorts but I was not expecting the extreme bare minimum when ordering, truly just not the friendliest. I had to go to the bathroom and there was a band barrier that was blocking the entry to the hall, and I had to go under it in order to get there. After directing a customer to where the bathroom is, you would expect them to at least pull it back? I'm young so not a problem but I could definitely see how that could have been an issue for some older folks. Overall, meh experience but good pizza slices in taking a break in our shopping ventures. So happy to have Bizza and their growing vegan options available in the Haight! When my partner and I first discovered Bizza, we were living in lower Haight and got delivery. At the time, they had a couple of sandwich options (using high quality vegan ingredients, like vegan mozzarella from Butcher's Son) and pizzas. The sandwiches were good and we were satisfied. However, after moving to Haight Ashbury proper, we started ordering from Bizza more and it seems like they keep adding vegan options to their menu. Since being closer, we've had their calzone (excellent) and chicken tenders (albeit, just gardein but the ranch was quite good.) I also see that have vegan mozzarella sticks on their menu and I'm definitely trying those next time! And not only do they have plenty of vegan options but they're open pretty late most days of the week. Pre-pandemic their hours were well past midnight (possibly 3am if I remember correctly) and they seem like they're still open far later than most restaurants currently.
