My boyfriend and I stopped by Extreme Pizza after taking a walk through the park nearby, and we're so glad we did! The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the beer was great too. A huge thank you to Armando for making our visit so memorable. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. Even though they were getting ready to close, he never made us feel rushed and told us we could take our time, which we really appreciated. It's rare to find customer service that makes you feel so comfortable and welcome. We'll definitely be stopping by again the next time we're in San Francisco. If you're looking for delicious pizza and exceptional customer service, this is the place to go!

Got delivery from Extreme Pizza for a meeting, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of specialty pizzas they had. The delivery process was pretty painless -- the driver called me about 10 minutes before drop-off, and they were easy to find. The crust is clearly premade and they put the sauce and toppings on well after, but they have a relatively low delivery fee for big parties. The flavors of the pizza aren't bad, just the quality of the pizzas are not the best. This place is a fast, cheaper establishment that works in a pinch, but I'm not sure it's my go-to due to quality of ingredients.

Normally my favorite sandwich go to for half the price of the sandwiches next door but they didnt even give me full lettuce and it was soggy :(

The slices are very large for the price! And my order was out very quick. Plenty of vegetarian options for the speciality pizzas, but they only sell those as whole pizzas, not by the slice

San Francisco has amazing pizza. I don't count Extreme Pizza among them. However, it's a fantastic spot for if you just want good pizza in the area! Price is great, especially for the 8" which is a nice size as a lunch/personal pizza for around $14. Casual vibes, lots of tables and seating, fast service and minimal line (if any). Wide pizza selection and you can do custom pizzas. I wouldn't have this be a date night spot, or to impress out of town friends on the SF pizza scene, but it's still a spot in my backpocket for a lunch run.

    This I shall remember.

What a great day to feel peckish after a late morning stroll in SoMo District. A slice of pizza or two had always stayed fresh in the back burner of my mind before I swung by the most extreme pizza parlor, and Extreme Pizza in SoMa was my best choice. It's a great thing I came inside early before a big line was formed and filled the tables. On my left hand side was the bar counter where everyone sits to watch only sports on a flat screen TV. The rest would be tables all the way to the right hand side where we get to watch the news on a medium sized TV. My best slice was Veggin' Out, followed by a nice Greek Goddess salad bowl with blue cheese dressing as my epic choice. A slice of pizza I'm having was so toasty and fresh from the oven. Tasted even better when dining indoors! I could even finish off its crust! As for the salad bowl with blue cheese dressing, oh how I love to challenge my palate after making it epic! All the customers I looked at so far in Extreme Pizza had positive vibes, and so were the staff members. Extreme Pizza offers the best catering service for my work place. That pizza place was extremely good, even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can dine here.

2 stars only because the staff was chill and the Tap Beer had good carbonation... I think the "Extreme" in the title could be to destroy the lack of flavor or substance.....

Stumbled into this place on accident about a year ago and had an unforgettable dining experience. Thought I would pop in today for round two. They have gluten free pizza! I ordered the Poultry Geist and I just can't believe how delicious this place is. The Poultry Geist Pizza tastes like Broccoli Soup on a pizza to me. So good. I highly recommend this place. The service is very fast and staff is always friendly, helpful and welcoming. I'm so happy to have found this place. A million stars.

It pains me to write this review a bit. This has been a periodic lunch spot, both take and go and dine in for years, even decades after our office moved to this neighborhood in the late '90's. As the area changed and high rises became commonplace, their business steadily grew. I'd see the delivery car waiting in front and local work staff like myself lining up to pick up food or already seated at tables or along the counter section eating or watching whatever sporting events were on the TV. I brought my coworker here on a Monday afternoon and there was only one person paying at the cashier as we studied the menu and specials board (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=0uWfErTPhALnU2cbG3ySiA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). I noticed that they removed my go-to lunch combination (two topping indie-pizza with a choice of their garden salad or Caesar's salad, and a fountain drink). Being a creature of habit, I ordered the indie size pepperoni and mushrooms pizza (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2x1BzLZ4eKdai4OKWMkTOQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) and a Greek goddess salad with Asian dressing (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-2C4Y3H8ATciS0SJsbAFBQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). I passed on ordering a drink since everything was ala carte. The pizza was as I remembered, a good enough portion to satisfy me with three slices (I often saved the fourth slice for a later snack or the next day's breakfast). I sprinkled it with the provided grated cheese and chili flakes. Unlike before, where the cashier would pull the salad from the refrigerator behind him, the salads are now stored in the kitchen side refrigerator with the canned and bottled drinks. I really enjoyed the variety of ingredients in this (baby leaf lettuces, fresh herb mix, feta, crispy chickpeas, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, picked red onions, pepperoncini, and halved mini tomatoes). The tart and sweet and crunchy and soft aspects made this more than a salad for me. I will still come here if craving pizza or salad when at the office. Just wish they had more wallet friendly meals.

    Cheese falling apart
    Mohammad A.

I've ordered from this place a few times and hands down just had one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I ordered the half cheese and half "ragin rooster" for delivery. Now the pizza came in 30 min which is odd because it is a Friday night and it normally should take longer especially on a Friday night so I found that odd. When I opened the pizza it was actually crushed on one side of the box as you can see in the picture. Then when I had one slice of the "ragin rooster" the chicken was dry and honestly tasted like dog food. Don't make the mistake of ordering that I promise you it won't be that good. The cheese on the cheese pizza was falling apart. On top of that the driver who dropped off my order was frigging Wierd man. I work at a little grocery store and when I handed him the money he said "those big cherries cost me a nickle when I was a kid" then I said "wow those are soo good" he said "this was before you born and you kids know nothing" then he kept mumbling to himself which I found incredibly odd. This whole experience was dissapointing. 29 dollars for a small pizza before tip is just crazy. Extreme pizza just made the list of places I'm never ordering from again UPDATE: Just got food poisoned from this place. I. The hospital with an infection. I WARN EVERYBODY HERE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

Super Cheesy and Super Good Extreme Pizza know what's up! My favorite way of eating their pizza is to have a side of ranch and a bottle of honey ready so that I can drizzle some of each onto the pizza. Every bite I take has a sweet, salty, cheesy, and umami taste. You think I'm cray? Well try it before you knock it! Let me know in the comment if you do the same or something similar. We got their Calzone, 12" Regular Pizza, Half Dozen Chicken Wings, High Thai Salad with some sesame dressing. For sure a pizza place you gotta try! I've been to Tony's a few times, and the first two times, my hub and I have left raving about it and telling all our friends and fam to get to Tony's. It's a l w a y s busy, even on weekdays, even in the middle of the work day. Reservations are smart! Parking is not easy but not impossible in the area. We live in the city so we always take public transportation. Within the last 6 months, I've discovered a gluten and dairy allergy that really took me down. Without getting into the gnarly details, it wasn't fun and I've been grieving pizza since this new discovery. So why would I go to Tony's with this new allergy? Because! I read that they offer a gluten free, dairy free pizza. Insane I know, but yet they offer it and I was PUMPED. When asking the waiter what I can get based on my needs, he responded to me like I was a war criminal. He was a Caucasian gentleman with brown hair. He raised his voice for all the diners to hear about my allergies, told me I couldn't get any pizza, and when I pointed out that there were options, he told me "I'll triple check if this is possible for you." When he came back and confirmed it was possible, he tells me they can do a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. It felt like the moment he heard 'gluten' and 'dairy,' he mentally categorized me as 'vegan' and stopped looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable. Yikes! Lol I fully recognize - girl, why did you go to a pizza spot with a gluten and dairy allergy? Yes I am not okay for this hahah but also I felt pretty embarrassed and treated really poorly. This experience doesn't reflect Tony's as a whole, but it was just a terrible interaction and that waiter made it real clear that he has no patience for anything that is inconvenient during his work shift.

Here's how it went: Service: friendly. Once off hold on the phone, and when picking up, the staff was pleasant for sure. The space: convenient walk up counter. Love a good sticker wall, and the display was nice to have. Value: honestly reasonable, especially comparatively. Ordered a small cheese and a small garlic and clam and two people could for sure share a small. Taste: other recent reviews are hitting it on the head - while the garlic and clam was decent (3.5/5), the cheese struck a core memory of elementary school cafeteria pizza (just without the tiny pepperoni diced cubes, 2/5), and both were just lukewarm, soft/not at all crisp, and just weren't packing much flavor at all. I can see Golden Boy being a workable late night solution for the City that Goes To Bed Early, but not much else beyond that at this point. Rating 3 stars at places with nice people working is not my favorite, so I'm glad that it's an institution and has stood the test of time and truly hope that they can/will calibrate on elevating their formula here, because I want to see this place deserve the love it gets.

The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
