We got no apology from our waitress, and we ended up not eating all of our appetizer because we didn't want our actual meal to get cold. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the service was decent. The food order was messed up for my husband and myself by the kitchen, not the waitress. We ordered directly off the menu and did not substitute anything. They messed up our sides. The char grilled chicken I had was dry with no seasoning. They gave me fries instead of green beans and rice pilaf. When I asked for my regular sides they brought them and it had no flavor. The green beans didn't even taste cooked. I asked for the sauce on the blackened chicken to help make my meal more edible, they gave me warm milk sauce. It was not the same sauce. My husband meal the same exact thing happened. He had wrong sides. Our friend said the red beans did not have any flavor. Hopefully they get some new cooks, because the restaurant is nice and so is the menu, but the food was not up to par and they kept messing up on the simple order. read more

Visiting from out of town and we were looking for some good cajun food. To start we almost turned around when we walked in. More like a mediocre sports bar. Decided to stay and have a drink and some dinner anyway..... wrong thing to do. I had the chicken/sausage gumbo and a side salad. The salad was the best part. Gumbo was very thin and lacked flavor and only had about a spoonful of rice. My date had the "happy hour" burger which was fine, but the fries were stone cold. Service was friendly and acceptable. I went in for a Sunday brunch with my​ sister and it was an awesome​ experience. I had the shrimp and grits with a FEW Mimosa's. The place was a little busy but we never waited for anything. Our drinks were refilled on time and the server checked on us often even towards the end when we were done eating and just sitting there talking with each other. I have been here about 6 times since they opened. The only thing holding me back from giving this a 5 star review is the wait staff. Every time we go, service is just mediocre. The food is AMAZING and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. The nachos and spinach dip are perfect appetizer options. The chicken fried chicken, pork chop, tortellini or roasted chicken salad make for great entree choices. Any time I have a question about a menu item or stuck between 2 entree choices and ask my server for their opinion, they have no clue and are so unhelpful. How is a server expected to sell you food with no knowledge about how it tastes or if it's sold often?? It would also be nice to see drink specials not just a menu with specialty drinks... read more

Stopped on our way from Texas Hill Country. Thought it'd be a good choice as a sit down restaurant offering quality food. We ordered the cob salad with roasted herb chicken which was very good and also ordered the Gulf Coast Shrimp and fries. Shrimp was ok but had a platter of cold greasy fries to go with it. Asked for hot fries and got a whole platter of hot, undercooked greasy fries. Server was nice but said she'd "tell" them?? When we went to pay, had to wait for another guy reporting a not so good meal so we just paid for the meals and wrote it off as a "do not stop again" place. read more

We have frequented this facility for the last several years and have historically been fans. It has been a few months since we last went; however, my kids asked to go last night. Well.... We had the absolute worst experience. The service ....horrible. They have eliminated bar items. The food menu has stayed the same but the quality is inexcusable for the price. We ordered a $13 burger....the "meat" patty was thinner than a McDonald's burger. I can tell you that we will never return and it's a shame....it was a great concept with a great environment. A friend and i for a first time visit 4-7-19 around 2:00 pm not many customers. We had the porkin nachos which were ok too many chips not enough toppings. i had the pasta jam and it was very good and served hot. Officially found my new favorite restaurant! My first experience was through waitr so we had the pepperoni pizza, kids spaghetti and meatballs, the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese, house salad, and Ms. Grace's yard bird platter. The sauce for the pizza has good flavoring and the crust isn't overly bready, I also like that touch of basil. My kids were fans of the spaghetti, but I didn't personally try it. The house salad was probably one of my favorites because of the large amount of tomatoes, compared to the two you get at other places and I also enjoyed the sunflower seeds. I've just recently found a love for Gouda so I got excited when I seen the smoked Gouda Mac n cheese on the menu and it did not disappoint. Probably my second favorite Mac n cheese and that's only because he doesn't quite beat Grandma's cooking. The chicken is moist and we'll seasoned. It comes with a sauce that smells hot, so it wasn't personally for me. Tonight my husband and I went in with our 3 kids. It is open and bright. I love the decor and finishes. We tried the poutine with out the horseradish cream and it was so succulent and I was in heaven just smelling it. I was instantly brought back to Sunday dinners of roast at potatoes at Grandma's house. The flavor was amazing and I could have honestly made a meal of just that. My daughter's got the kids hamburgers and the meat was juicy and seasoned well. I got the chicken and waffles. Once again the chicken did not disappoint. The waffles were a sweet batter and light and fluffy. The waffles were so good we had to order an extra kid one because the kids were eating them so well. My husband ordered the Ms. Grace's Yard Bird platter which is a really good portion size. It comes with slaw but he swapped it for cheddar smashed potatoes and I tried them and they were mouth watering good. Some how we found the energy for dessert and tried the milk chocolate. It's definitely made it house and so good. To top it all off the service was amazing! I never even had the chance to ask for more drink because our waitress was on top of it. She politely got us anything extra we asked for and we never felt rushed. We stopped the owner for a question and he was very polite and helpful. Get to the car and realized they close 25 minutes ago and they never tried to rush us out at all. And they box everything for you tableside, which having 3 kids is so helpful. The cheese was on the bottom on the tray on nachos not actually on the chips which we thought was strange, but we didn't care for them. He got a burger which was ok. I got some kind of chicken. The chicken fried chicken, the queso, the short ribs, the fish tacos, the chicken and waffles, the grilled pork chops-they have all been outstanding. The on tap beer selection varies and features local breweries. This week's selection is particularly good. The cocktails are good here too. This is Louisiana food with a little spice and some flair. This little local jewel is one of my family's favorite go-to spots. The nachos are out of this world. Had the steak burger last time and had to share it with my 14 yr old. Two juicy beef patties with sharp cheese, crispy onion rings, and bacon on soft bread. Wow. $5 local craft beer at happy hour seven days a week is the best. It's a great atmosphere and locally owned and operated, the owner's children are on the staff and are always so friendly and helpful. read more

Absolutely love this place. The food is delicious. Some of the sauces are a little different sounding, like the one that comes on the pork chops but they are so good. You have to try them. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is larger than you may think on the outside. They have ping-pong and I never know the name of the game by the bar but you slide little metal pieces across to the other side and try to make it land in a particular place for points. We met the man that opened it. He talked to us for maybe 15 minutes just seeing how we were enjoying everything and telling us how P-Beau's came to be. read more
