The atmosphere was definitely fun and the free pork rinds were nice; however, I found that the food did not have much flavor. The burger was pretty good but the blackened chicken pasta was definitely not a good choice. In addition to this, our waitress was not very friendly to say the least. Had seen a review from The Advocate newspaper. The writer had rave reviews for the Poutine, a Canadian appetizer made of cheese curds, brown gravy on top of French fries, and the Tavern Double cheeseburger. My wife and I were at Sam's Club just down the street so we decided to give it a try. We also decided to split both food items. The P-Beaus' Poutine is house made fries topped with short rib meat, cheddar cheese curds, green onions with a horseradish drizzle. Comes out on a baking sheet and was enough for my wife and I to share, along with sharing a Double burger. It tasted good, just was lukewarm, at best. One thing I liked was the horseradish was not overbearing as horseradish can be sometimes. The burger has your regular lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. It tasted good, as well, albeit a bit salty. For dessert we had the Milk Chocolate Goodie Jar, which is layers of milk chocolate custard and mascarpone on top of a Louisiana pecan crumble crust. This had kind of a soured tasted to it, maybe because we've never had mascarpone and don't know what it tastes like. The restaurant itself was very nice, hardly anyone in there at all, maybe one other couple. The music was LOUD!! Playing hip-hop and some kind of dance club thump-thump, every song about sex; not a good environment for children, in my opinion. The waitress was very nice. All-in-all we may return to try something new, I seen pics of their chips and they looked pretty good, but probably not for awhile. Wasn't that impressed. Total bill: $36. read more

I really liked the dishes here but the seasoning was not on point. I had the short ribs which were cooked perfectly but the sauce on top was too salty. My wife had the redfish which was also cooked perfectly but again the sauce on top was way too salty. My son had the Cubano sandwich and it just lacked flavor but the pickles were good on it. My other three kids had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was seasoned just right. The staff was friendly and for that reason I would give this place another shot when I am back in the area. read more

My husband and I just had dinner and both of us were so disappointed. We wanted to enjoy our food so much more than we did but neither of us can say anything good. Well, let me back up. It was not busy so we expected our food pretty fast. Our appetizer came out quick and was good. We had pork nachos and I wish I would have had that for an entree. They were the best part of the meal. We both ordered the steak and fries. My husband ordered medium and I ordered mine medium well. Both of us received out food over cooked and cold. This is my favorite place to eat in Denham Springs. I've been here several times, and it never fails to disappoint. They have a great happy hour from 2-6 EVERYDAY that has $5 drinks. My only complaint is the pretzel balls are no longer offered as an appetizer. read more

Well, we tried this new place and the Cuban sandwich is ok, but just has spicy mustard on it and waitress said a special sauce was on it. We also ordered a salad, but the waitress said it cost extra to change the dressing from the type that comes with it? I think the prices are just a little on the high side. Casual place... ordered steak (medium well) and fries. Hubby ordered fish and chips...Steak came out on a plank which was neat. Fish was barely cooked and still a little pink inside and my steak came out medium rare. She took it back and had it cooked a "little" more. Still pinkish red. The French fries tasted like they came out of the Dead Sea ... so much salt on them it was unreal! the only reason I rated 2 stars is for the nice waitress and some of the uniqueness. Not really sure why this place doesn't have higher reviews. Its good, super unhealthy food lol. Their cheese dip is amazing. I like everything I've had there expect the Nutella milk shake. Sounded amazing. Definitely would skip dessert unless they really stepped up their game. The porkin nachos are amazing. I got it with fried pork skins instead of chips. The oyster BLT is pretty awesome too. Nice, albeit small, draft beer selection. Sometimes the prices are a little high on beer. I was an avid P Beau's supporter, recommending the restaurant to any and everyone I know. But unfortunately the restaurant seemed to have changed during the remodel. I was very excited to finally go back but was extremely disappointed when I finally got the chance. Its safe to say the restaurant was my favorite place to go but now I don't think I will ever return. I got the baby back ribs (a new selection on the menu) and they were just atrocious, they were ribs from a premature pig and had hardly and meat, the scarce meat that it had was tough and did not have a good flavor. I know a thing or two about ribs because I worked at a bbq restaurant for 4 years and I can confidently say those ribs should not have been served. In fact I would have sent them back on the truck if I had gotten them in. For a $20 plate I feel as though I got a $3 value. My wife got the chicken Alfredo plate which has always been one of our favorites, but they completely changed the recipe, making it soupy and bland and without the great garlic bread they used to serve. I really hate to say all of this because we loved P Beau's so much before, but if you're looking for what it used to be, you won't find it here. read more

I've had some bad things from Waitr from this place. However, I have never once gone to P Beau's and had bad food while there! Whatever you do, you MUSY get the porkin nachos! They are AMAZING! I would go there every day just for these nachos! They always have the best beers on tap too! They have a list of the different ones they have and my husband and I like to go down the list! I came here because I was hungry for fried shrimp. Kind of disappointed that it only comes with these McDonald's looking french fries. You could not get a baked potato and it did not include a salad however they did charge me $17 for this plate of food. I think this is pretty steep considering no salad and no baked potato, only french fries. Hubby was hungry for breakfast and it was 11 o'clock. He was in luck, because they serve brunch on Sunday only. The entire menu is pretty skimpy. They do not offer many things on their menu so if you are planning to eat here, I would suggest checking out the menu online before coming in. at first impression, the girl who greeted us was not friendly at all. I asked her for a booth three times before she finally answered me. Our waitress that was nice. Hubbies breakfast came and it was missing his hashbrowns which she said would be out later. Who serves a breakfast in stages? Gravy was terrible! Fries were super salty and overly seasoned. The shrimp plate is not offered in how many you want you are stuck with one dozen. If you do not like the lemon flavored three do not get the shrimp. It must be in the batter. Shrimp were semi-raw. I've never left uneaten shrimp on my plate but I will today! I got fish amd chips this fish was bland and rubbery. This is definitely a very cheap quality fish. At $15.99 or 16.99 (can't remember) is should be real cod or real catfish - juicy and plump. Not thin, dry, chewy unknow mystery fish. It was on top of about 10 to 15 dried brunt chips (claim to be freshly made) this meal was 100% not worth the price. My husband said his burger was ok not best but not worst he ever ate, it was $10 which is going rate for burger and fries. Fries were old not fresh also. Most of the menu price seemed high, kids meals were $5.99 and 6.99 too. I will not return to try anything else just due to prices. read more

The food is good and the atmosphere is cute and very kid friendly but the service has always been slow and not the most friendly. We have waited for over an hour for our food even on a slow night. The pretzel balls are a hit with the kids but the poutine is probably the best thing I have eaten at Pbeaus. We have ordered The cubaneau and grown up grilled cheese. We got the $10 nachos, which were pretty good, but not as good as "damn good nachos" from Rum House. Also got the jack cilantro salad. This salad came to me with no cilantro. It is also described as having a Tabasco jalapeño vinaigrette. Whatever dressing I had did not taste of Tabasco or jalapeño. In fact, there was zero heat. I saw all the good reviews, so we decided to try this place out while we were making a trip over to Bass Pro. Service was good. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our waitress was attentive. The spinach dip appetizer was delicious. It wasn't served with tortilla chips but more of what tasted like a fried, thick wonton wrapper. It was a pleasant surprise. My friend got the chicken fried chicken, and I got the pasta jam. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. Prices were decent for the amount of food we got. The flavors were good, the roast was a little salty but paired nicely with the flavor of the horseradish drizzle, however the dish itself came out cold. For entrees, I got the Cuban sandwich, which was just ok. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich but it too was cold and I found it dry. My husband got the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly, but somewhat small for the price and not much flavor. My son ordered the grown up grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. He enjoyed the soup- unfortunately it was a very small portion- but did not care for the grilled cheese. The bill was close to $100 for food that just didn't really impress us.
