Bought a new dishwasher with installation. First installer said the new unit was broken and it had to be replaced. Ok, all good here so far. Second time upon delivery, installers didn't even touch the dishwasher and said they wouldn't remove it. They gave ever excuse in the dishwasher installers excuse why, from "it may not have been installed to code", to "it may be glued to the back wall" to "there is a small mounding that you need a carpenter to remove". Are you kidding me? What a freaking joke. Well, note to these jokes of installers, I, having never installed or removed a dishwasher, removed it myself in 10 minutes, no exaggeration. No YouTube, research, just using basic common sense. Absolutely pathetic and infuriating how incompetent the company is, and took no real responsibility or showed much remorse when I complained. read more

After price shopping for a washer we found that P.C. Richard had the lowest price. The salesman was helpful but not pushy. The washer we wanted was in stock. We bought it on a Thursday night and it was delivered on Saturday morning. The delivery men were pros and were extremely careful. One bit of advice: Their website prices are higher than the final price. They seem high at first but once you put the item in your cart you get the actual price which is lower. I don't know why they do it this way. In the store the actual price is clearly displayed. We got a great deal. $50.00 less than any other store and it wasn't even a sale. read more

Unfortunately PC RICHARDS does NOT stand by there product. Ive spent countless hours on the phone with synchrony bank and store managers who have all basically yelled at me. Ive been treated as an inconvenience and not someone who's spent over $10,000 in this store. I am embarrassed and appalled at the difference in service when you walk in there for a purchase versus an issue. Please for your own sake go to a different vendor. There is a Best Buy very close by that offers better pricing and MUCH better customer service. Before you spend big money in this store, think twice about it coming from someone with experience. Nobody should have to deal with the people and service that I have dealt with. A manager will most likely respond to this and reply and again proceed to do nothing. I have had numerous problems when dealing with this place. I purchased a full set of appliances and had the installation go wrong when they hired an outside company to work with me. The gas line was installed incorrectly with my stove and as you can see with the dishwasher, it was done very poorly. In the photo that was when it is fully shut. They are currently working with me to fix it and get the other appliances in today. I did make a mistake and measured incorrectly for the washer/dryer and they were good about returning it and getting another one in. I asked to not have the previous person that made the shotty installation come but they kept sending him (3 times). We turned him away and the manager argued with me that it was a different person when he was in front of me. My salesman Mike was however excellent through the whole ordeal. I really can't recommend this place even with the low prices and good experience with my salesman. read more

Stay away. Bought a defective refrigerator. Service department is non functional.pathetic communication.

NOTE‼ Do not buy an extended service contract for a refrigerator from this awful company. Last April I purchased a new refrigerator from this company and opted for an extended service contract past the regular refrigerator company warranty of one year. Here's my beef with this company. Twice in the last three weeks I have had a service man from PC Richards come to my home to make repairs to my fridge which didn't work but freezer that worked fine. Get this, the first time comes over his diagnosis of the problem he says, "My this freezer is overcrowded! This is the problem right here!" Before he could utter another word...To my response I told him "No, this is my humble attempt to save money from all the spoiled food I just had to throw away!" I can't believe the pair on this guy! Who the F does he think he is? So I let this guy do whatever and then before he leaves, suggests I leave the fridge empty for 24 hrs before shopping for food. I take advice monitor and monitor temp which held at 38 degrees. I buy food and two weeks go by and now the fridge reads 60 degrees. WTF??? I call again. I wait all day and then call him on cell number provided from company. He said he is waiting for a part. Same service guy comes by. I told him the freezer wasn't packed and politely asked him for a proper diagnosis. He tells me that the defroster wasn't automatically coming on. As I watch him fumble around with some composition pad that had a bunch of scribblings in it, I was able to discern that this man's methodology of keeping track of things was not up to anyone's standard except his own. He removes caked ice from coils in freezer and tells me he needs a part. I ask him what about the part he waited for all day. (He got wrong part). He then tells me that he can't get part till next week and needs to come back. Apparently the only place to get this part exists in LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS. He asks when can he come can come back. I say MONDAY. He says part won't arrive by then. I ask, TUESDAY? He says part won't arrive by then. WEDNESDAY? He said that part won't arrive by then. Frustrated with this wasted time and BS conversation, I told him to find out when he can get this part and call me. He then tells me not to buy any food till he returns. What I gotta wait another week? Are you friggin kiddin me? It's not like I live in somewhere in West Bumblef-ck. I live 20 min from NEW YORK CITY! You know the city that never sleeps? Now, I gotta wait another week?!?!?? So I do the math... Thinking about the Loss of food of a packed fridge (times 2) + eating out every meal for a family of five for another week equals you can shove this fridge up your @ss mother f-er and I'm going to buy a fridge tomorrow at SEARS! Took my money, told me to come back at 4 for an air conditioner. Guess what. No air conditioner, seems there was never going to be an air conditioner. I was then given a HEAVY sell on the crappy GE they had in stock in the first place. I still do not have a "refund" despite the fact I have no air conditioner. Knowledgeable and helpful. We bought a grill and had it delivered assembled . We could not get it to work because we attached the propane tank wrong. I went back to the store. Bill C. asked his boss if he could follow me home and fix the problem. He did, I live nearby. He had the problem fixed in fives minutes. Very disappointed in their service/support after the sale. I bought $4K worth of kitchen appliances. They installed the refrigerator and the water dispenser didn't work. After waiting 6 days for a repair person to look at the unit. and pull the unit apart he did not have the parts with him to fix the appliance. I had to wait another 14 days until the repair person could come back with said parts. I received no communication from the store as to what time of day I could expect service. After waiting all day, and me calling the store 3 times, at 5:30 pm, the repair person is at my development. Lack of communication makes for very poor customer service. So I've made several big purchases at P.C. Richards over the years and I happened to have a different experience compared to some of the other yelpers. Eight years ago I bought a Samsung TV, PS3, Stereo System, and extended warranty on the TV. All of the items still work and I haven't had any problems so I decided to return recently when shopping for a new dishwasher. The store was busy as always but we were assisted by a gentleman named James. He was very knowledgeable about the various styles and brands and helped us pinpoint exactly what we needed. Due to the fact that I came in with the proper measurements he was able to help us select a unit and schedule the delivery and installation. Just bought another Samsung Fridge and Microwave.... i don't understand why Lowe's and Home Depot Advertise 40% off and their appliances are more expensive than PC Richard and son. My shopping experience is pretty simple, I call Juan the Manager or Mike the Sales Rep and I tell them what I want, they tell me what to buy and I go in the store, check it out and pay. Just had a new dishwasher installed by PC Richaards. Paid extra when purchased for two different "dishwasher accessories". Told that's all I would need for the installation. Well guess what....the installer tells me I need to call a plumber because the water line was the wrong diameter or I could pay an extra $75 and he would take care of it. Don't know of any plumber who charge as little as $75 just to show up so even though I felt like it was extortion I paid him. PS, the part costs less than $15 and it took him maybe an extra 5 minutes. The experience really soured me on PC Richard's and don't see myself buying from them in the future read more

This originally started as a 1 star review and here's why: Long story short my uncle bought his daughter a macbook because she's starting college in the fall. Because they're so pricey, he asked if he could get some kind of student discount or as a frequent buyer and he was flat out told no. 2 days after the purchase he finds out that if you buy the same computer straight from the Apple Store you get a student discount of $150 and a free pair of $300 earphones. His daughter then called in to ask about the refund process so she could go to apple and save money. They were extremely rude, told her because the box had been opened, that they would not take it back and that she was waisting her time in calling them. Thankfully the story doesn't end there. She called me upset and I knew I had to go in and talk to my sales associate, Harris. He's the only reason I ever come back to Pc Richard and he's the only associate I ever buy from. He's honest and I never feel like he's pressuring into a sale. I came in with my uncle and the mac and went to directly to Harris, I explained the situation and he went off to speak to a manager. When he came back he told me that they were going to match apples student discount of the free headphones. I shown him that there's another discount included with that and they matched it as well. The funny part was that the original sales associate who sold my uncle the computer came by and tried to argue that it was either they earphones or $1500 off. After I proved him wrong he said "oh this was exactly what I was going to do for you yesterday that's why I called you". Even if that were true then why did I have to sit while he spoke to management to try and get the the discount you claimed to have had yesterday? Lol If the story would've ended there, this would've stayed a 1 star review but thanks to Harris for saving the day and this review and to PC for doing the right thing for a loyal customer. read more

Bought a mattress set and frame, requested an early delivery on Saturday..the salesman agreed to request it...called Friday found out my window was not early, but 3:30 pm-6:30 pm..so your requests are meaningless....was supposed to hear from the driver twice...before the window to give me a better idea of when the delivery would be made, then one half hour before the delivery...after making seven frantic calls tp both the distribution center and the store, finally heard from the driver at 7:50 pm...when he informed me ge was in Hackensack (I'm in Rutherford)..at this point called off the delivery...worst experience I've ever had with a mattress or appliance delivery...stay away....UPDATE...the store's general manager Juan Gonzalez heard I was displeased and within a week fixed everything to my complete satisfaction..rare in business today to deal with someone so caring and willing to make things right...got my mattress set today and ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL read more

Do you want first work to help me find a refrigerator that fit my needs as well as my budget. Then in talking she really is I was looking for other furniture and went to show me their selection of recliners and again help me to find one that was perfect for me!! Finally we went to see their wonderful selection of beds. Dawn started by conducting a sleep test to first determine the type of mattress that would be right for me! She was again awesome in not only helping me to find the right bed for me comfort wise but budget wise as well!
