If I could give no stars I would. ----all because of the extended service contract and company. I bought a top of the line washer and dryer from these guys. The extended service contract company completely ruined the experience. Getting them to come out first of all was a nightmare. Then when I got someone out to my house to fix the washer...he didn't and had no idea what he was doing. And forget getting them to come back and actually do work and fix the issues. NIGHTMARE. Go someone where else and make sure the service agreement is actually worth it. read more

Needed to buy a new dryer. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helped me make a good selection for my needs. We set up a date for delivery, and I was very clear that it had to be a morning delivery. The salesman told me no problem. However, when the delivery people called me the night before, they could only say that the delivery would be next day, and they could not guarantee it would be in the morning. When I complained that I was promised a morning delivery, I was told they did not understand why I was told that, since they never promise a particular time of day. This left me in a great bind, as there was no way I could take the full day off work. So, great store, knowledgeable sales people, but lousy delivery schedule and customer service. read more

Mike B. did a stellar job selling me the products. I went in with no plans to buy anything and ended up purchasing an entire kitchen ensemble. Went in looking for an appliance suite. Started off by looking at the kitchen displays they have featuring the high end products like Wolf. Prices are high but not out of the question. Salesman came over and after telling him what I was looking for he just pointed in a direction and said what you want is over there. The salesman left me on my own to wander around and try to figure out what matches what and if they had what I needed. It's a large store with items grouped by device( refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers). Trying to find matching items was nearly impossible (like the frig don't like the stove etc) The salesman was uninterested in helping so I found my way to the door. I guess a sale between 5 and 10 thousand dollars wasn't enough to interest the sales staff. read more

Before you pre order or put money down for anything, make sure you know that you can only be refunded via a check sent through the mail, even if you pay cash. I was NOT told this prior to putting money down on a console. On release day, the console was unavailable and no one had answers as to when a shipment would come. I requested all my money back so I could buy it elsewhere and had to wait 12 days for the refund check to come! Had I known this policy I'd have ever preordered the item here. I'm a huge fan of PC Richard, but I have had a particularly good experience at this location. I deal with Richard who is super-knowledgable. But the best think about PC Richard is that you can go in to their store, find which appliance, TV, etc you like, then go home and log on to pricegrabber.com and find the bottom dollar price. Then bring it in to Richard, and he will match the price. Its a great deal, then you have the guarantee that PC Richard provides. I replaced all the appliances in my kitchen--Stove, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher--as well as TVs, kuregs, chest freezer, etc. You can't beat PC Richard. read more

I bought a stackable LG washer and dryer. Salesman was very informative and helpful. However, the reason for my 5 star rating and this posting is because of the store manager John. On the morning of our delivery, we were told our time for delivery was between 12:30 to 3:30. As James T. wrote in the previous post, we needed a morning delivery. I called the store and was put through to John and he said he would call me back in 5 minutes. He did call right back and he was able to change the delivery time and they actually arrived 5 minutes earlier. Very happy with all workers at PC Richards, from the salesman who sold us our appliances, to the receptionist (she was very courteous on the phone) to John the store manager who knows the meaning of customer service and making your customers happy!!! read more

I purchased a Viper remote start for my vehicle at PC Richard (Wayne), and the salesman was very knowledgeable about car audio. I had the install done on the spot. Before I purchased the remote start, I was just down the road at BestBuy. I was going to buy the remote start there, but found out there was a two month wait for car install. So the same day install was a plus. I'm writing this review now because the remote start has just stopped working and when I called PC Richard install, they knew without looking at my car what the problem is. I now have an appointment this Sunday with car install. Went to car install and they replaced my unit with a brand new unit. Don't know what happened, but it was Vipers fault, not PCR. read more

Anthony Croix, general manager at the Fairfield NJ PC Richards is an example of EXTREME customer service. There was an error/miscommunication regarding the stove I ordered and he rectified the problem, costing me no additional money or inconvenience. In fact, he had my stove delivered TODAY, on CHRISTMAS EVE, in time for me to make Christmas dinner!!! If that is not SUPREME customer service, I don't know what is!! Anthony was my Santa this year!! The delivery guys did an amazing job installing all my new appliance. They worked hard and made sure my house was spotless before they left. The salesman James Cavallaro was beyond amazing. He was kind, honest and supportive. PC should be proud to have him as an employee. We don't feel uncomfortable when we purchase appliances from James. James called us 2 weeks after we purchased all new appliances for our home and let us know that one of our items was selling for less and refunded us that money. Who does that? I went in to shop for new kitchen appliances and was not pleased. The salesman was texting every time I turned around to tend to my toddler. It was very off putting to deal with what felt like 2 children instead of just mine. He was knowledgeable but honestly, I couldn't get beyond the smell of stale cigarette. Disappointing. read more

So far I have had a good experience with my salesman Bobby. He placed my order and did not continue to push after I told him I did not want any extended warranties. I have had to delay delivery twice on my new kitchen appliances due to our cabinets being delayed, and he has been very helpful. Bought washer and dryer, 1st delivery the dryer was smashed. 2nd delivery, their driver/installer sat on maim water line pipe and broke it, almost flooding basement. Looking for a decent spare tv, salesman did a great job explaining the differences and the price was fair so I decided to pull the trigger thats when salesperson realized it's not in stock!! Oh No not another bad experience he got his manager who was the gentleman at front door he apologized and offered to bring in from another store said its a great price and they just ran out, Wow he actually cared about a customer the Best Buy I left from should take notes. I recently had a problem with my dehumidifier which had just run out of warranty 2 weeks prior. Well I figured that I was out of luck for sure and complained about how this should not happen. I was not a happy camper and the sales manager was empathetic. He was very nice and understanding about the fact that I really only used this thing for about 5 months last year and then put it away in October till now. Anyhow, the bottom line is that he gave me a brand new one! It is warrantied for a full year! Do you think Sears would have done that??? NO WAY! We just purchased a home in Wayne, NJ and went to the store this morning expecting that it would be our first stop of many to comparison shop. Thankfully, we were fortunate enough to work with Carlos (Sales Associate) and purchased a refrigerator, washer and dryer, and box spring mattresses. We got great deals and most importantly, I can't say enough good things about Carlos. He was knowledgeable, patient and really listened to what we were looking for within our price range and without being pushy or just focusing on a commission. I wish I could indicate MINUS STARS here. Had a dishwasher installed by PC Richards installer (paid extra of course) and the guy didn't tighten something enough. Result - dripping for 2 weeks and hardwood floor is ruined. The place needs to be dried out with fans and heaters then new floor put down. PC Richards sends us to their claims dept which is very disinterested (no rocket science on duty here). Wonder how long it will take to get reimbursed thousands here! So the claim was reported on Thursday a.m. It is now Monday evening. If it were up to PC Richards, our tenant would still be living with a wet floor and sleeping with windows open. My husband hired ServPro (great btw) to dry the place out. But we still haven't heard about out claim, i.e. reimbursement. Tomorrow the wood floor guy comes to discuss replacement to the ruined floor. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - PC RICHARDS DOESNT CARE - DON'T SHOP THERE. read more

We had an excellent experience at the P.C. Richards in Totowa, NJ. We needed to purchase a garage friendly refrigerator for which there were only a few options anywhere. The salesman was of great help in his knowledge and recommendations about why most kitchen refrigerators will no longer be good options for a garage. We purchased a refrigerator with a garage package. They gave us a good price but when we checked out the price at other stores found that one other store had a similar refrigerator on sale. We went back to the Totowa P.C. Richards and Manager Tom Paone matched the price even though it was not the exact same model. Tom was very gracious and helpful along with the rest of the staff! I was in the market to buy a home entertainment system since I just purchased my first home. I stopped at PC Richardson after having went to Best Buy where all the associates where talking and nobody bothered helping me. I walked in PC Richardson and immediately I was greeted by Mike S. He asked me a few questions about what I was looking for etc. he showed me a few TVs, soundbars, and a TV stand. I ended up purchasing a 55in curved LED SMART tv, I learned so much about these products and all of my guests in my new home are blown away by the picture of my new TV. I also purchased a Bose solo 5 and I'm so happy because I almost bought a beats pill, thank Goodness Mike S showed me the better choice. (There really is no comparison the solo 5 is amazing) I loved my experience here. Of Richardson has always been a company I love but what differentiates this PC Richardson from the others is the level of customer service. From informing me about all the products, to being patient and not rushing (2 hours) to helping me carry everything to my car Mike S was awesome! Finding a reliable sales person you can rely on for advice on electronics has been difficult, but I found a nice team I can depend on at the Wayne NJ store. I happened to be shopping for a Tempurpedic and since they gave me a fair deal and better than Mattress Firm I decided to go back and give them another shot. Very funny guys and honest, I bought a washer & dryer, Stove, Range and few things. Great warranties and I find that you can negotiate great deals, and the customer experience feels more like back in the day when you went to the local electronic store. At Best Buy you do not get that service because their stores are extremely huge and messy and no one is ever around to help. You can appreciate these guys. I strongly recommend this store. read more
