I'm not much for the "chain" restaurants, but when it comes to Chinese food I like PF Changs for its consistently and I love that they have a GF menu. Lots of Asian restaurants don't have gluten free soy sauce on hand so it can be dicey ordering. This visit I got the lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, and a yummy chocolate dessert. Came for a late lunch/early dinner. The place normally has a long line for dinner so we figured this would be the perfect time and it was. I had been to one back in LA but my wife had never been there. It was good lives up to the PF Chang's reputation. If you are used to Los Angeles or the West Coast this place is definitely expensive for Chinese Food and isn't entirely authentic, however very good. You have to compare its prices to a Macaroni Grill, Buca Di Beppo level of cost and you'll find it is right in line. Based upon the line for dinners I would consider carry out since Chinese tends to be good for that (unlike... say a steak). read more

Good happy hour value. Attention to detail not even. When i sat at the bar there was rice grains from the last patron. (It wasnt busy). Took the order quickly. That was the last either bartender came by. I would have loved a glass if water. The menus sat on the bar next to me the entire time. No one asked if everything was fine. When i was finished and pushed the plated away with the napkin the plates sat in front of me until i had to ask for water. At least 5 minutes. Excellent service at lunch today! Had the Kung pao chicken and my friend had the beef lo mein. The recipes at P.F. Chang's are always very tasty. However, My constant complaint, is how skimpy they are with the food (small rice portions and very little beef with the lo mein). Given the cheap food costs for making Chinese dishes and their menu prices, they could compensate a little bit more. read more

I haven't been to a PF Chang's in years. This location was actually better than I remember from prior visits at other locations in NJ. We went because a friend was staying in the area and back home, their local PFC closed. It was okay but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. They seem just pricey for what you get, but I my food, spring rolls and their spicey chicken dish was hot and overall very good. However, others in the group said it was just okay. Perhaps I ordered something the cook likes! Table behind me sent back ice cold soup. Entrees then came out before hot soup. They were not happy. Service was okay. read more

Our party of 10 (including children 9, 7, & 1) enjoyed dinner at this restaurant on 12/17. The food here is consistently very good, but the service for our large party was exceptional! Our requests (including changes to the standard menu) were taken care of quickly and without issue. Our server was just outstanding! I really do enjoy my rice crunchy, especially when I ordered fried rice with chicken and pork, both of which were too crispy to even chew.

Marshall C's review is WAY off base! The Albuquerque restaurant is just as good as every other P.F. Chang's I've been to: in other words, SUPERB! I am surprised he was so harsh and even more surprised he is a magazine publisher. Yikes! Lets hope he doesn't review things much. I make it a point to eat here every time I'm in Albq, and I have been to this particular restaurant several times now. Every time I come not only is the service great, but the food is OUTSTANDING! I recommend the lettuce wraps or the Spicy Hot Wontons for appetizers. There are FAR TOO MANY delicious dishes to recommend just one. The Salt & Pepper Prawns are amazing. The Chicken with Black Bean Sauce is to die for and soooo tender!! The Mu Shu Pork is out of this world. As for dessert, I've only tried their Banana Spring Rolls (banana "egg-roll" bites drizzled with caramel and served with pineapple-coconut ice cream). Yum. You can also get the ice cream by itself, which I usually do, as the whole dessert is way to big for one person. The ice cream is VERY rich, like frozen custard. YUM. read more

I have been waiting over an hour for sesame chicken. The waiter brings me the check, before I get my meal? Very apologetic, but come on I'm hungry! Food is decent, nothing to write home about. Seems like they just threw it together once they found out I hadn't received my meal. Pretty bad when the people next to me are offered a free appetizer as soon as they sit down. Went with 9 people tonight. We've been going for years intermittently on Friday nights. Whoa. Unbelievable experience. New waitress which we were all willing to be patient with. 20 min after she took our drink orders she came back to confirm them. They finally arrived after we'd been seated for 45 minutes. One person's drink didn't come and we asked 3 times for it. Manager finally poured it herself (we'd been seated an hour). 3 appetizers arrived 15 min after other appetizers served and at same time as first entree. Next entrees arrived 15-20 min later. One person finished their dinner before 8 others arrived. Manager frazzled and unapologetic. Food tasted very different. Didn't even recognize the Shrimp w Lobster Sauce. Small discount given but there more than 2 hours and not sure we will be back. Waitress did best she could. Kitchen obviously very disorganized. Asked if new owner or management and told no. Nothing like previous visits. Won't be back any time soon. Very sad as we've loved going in the past and never had issues before. read more

My wife and I come here often and generally it's a stellar place to eat. We arrived at around 5pm on Sunday evening and were greeted by 2 young hostesses. They asked us, "how many?" And I replied "8". The color immediately drained from both of their faces as if I had asked them to perform a voodoo ritual. "Uh, uh...", replied one of the young women as she turned around without saying anything else. The other just stared at me until I backed away slowly. Eventually the remaining hostess signaled us over and led us to a table without another sound other then angry huffing as she threw (literally) the menus across the table. And that was my first impression of PF Changs this Sunday. I don't understand why it seems as if I ruined these two hostesses night just by having 8 people in my party. The restaurant was maybe at 50% capacity and they acted as if I had kicked their puppies. The food was great like always. The service was good from our waiter. The hostesses just need to be trained better or pursue careers that don't involve customer interaction as they are the face of the restaurant. 3 stars for this visit, 5 without the hostess experience. read more

This restaurant is excellent. There were many good choices on the menu. The food was very good. My crunchy salmon salad was excellent. Our waiter must be a professional. He was fast, attentive, and we liked the decor. We got there at about 6:30 and were seated and served right away. It pains me to write this review since this has been one of our favorite places to eat for many years. Previous Visits (5 stars): Let me begin by saying that my wife and I visit this particular restaurant often and the food has always been top quality. The service has always been good and if not for this specific visit all of my reviews would have been 5 stars hands down. This visit (1 star): Food: -We all had lettuce wraps and they were outstanding (as always) but the first plate had about 6 small, half pieces of lettuce (compared to 10-12 like we received last week). The server did, however, bring out a few more cuts of lettuce so we could finish the appetizer. -I had Chang's Chicken and it was incredible. -My son had the Sesame Chicken and it was fantastic. -My wife had the Honey Chicken and it was horrible (this is where the story begins). I'm not sure how they cook the chicken but it seemed as though the oil was old, rancid or had been burnt. You know how you get those floaties in your oil when you fry food for a really long time? That was about 2/3 of my wife's plate. It was very greasy...to the point of puddles of grease on the plate. My wife picked through the small pieces of batter but things immediately got worse. She ate a few bites and mentioned how oily and burnt the chicken tasted. We realized at this point that a replacement would be the best option. So we waited...and waited. After 8-10 minutes a secondary server came by and filled our drinks. We asked him if he could get our server and he asked if there was an issue he could take care of for us. He quickly apologized and rushed to the kitchen to get a replacement. The manager came out a few minutes later and apologized. We had to send my wife's plate back with him because of the puddles of oil. Our server dropped by a few minutes after that (his first visit in 15+ minutes) and seemed more annoyed than apologetic. He gave a few flakey excuses as to why the grease and burnt flavoring entered the food then quickly ran off. Enter plate two, almost 20 minutes later, (at which point the manager was going to remove the cost of the entree from our bill...seems like a quality manager move, right?). While this plate had noticeably less floaties, the burnt flavor was a bit stronger than the original plate (I'm thinking they may have burned the oil and kept using it but, again, I don't know how they prepare the chicken) with large black chunks in it. My wife had me try the chicken and it indeed had a horrible burnt flavor and the aftertaste remained until bedtime (seriously...from one bite). She couldn't eat this plate either and we told the server (when he eventually made his way to our table) he hastily grabbed the plate and hurried off to the kitchen. He was super annoyed with us at this point. Let me interject something here: we were not rude at all. We spoke with the staff in a very polite way and tried to explain what we thought may have been the issue in the kitchen (based on our own personal cooking mistakes: overheating the oil, scooping the floaties, etc). We then waited over 20 minutes to receive our check but still had to pay then sign. Seriously, my wife had not eaten dinner and we still had to wait that long for the check? After taking my card, at which point I had just laid it on the table waiting for the server, he still stopped at a third "big top" table to serve them. I took my wife to Chick-fil-a where service and food are always great. Server: Our server was cordial but seemed overwhelmed or distracted. I overheard him speaking to the adjacent table and he said that there were several servers in training so he had a lot of tables to manage. He was absent from our table for a long period and apologized citing that two "big top" table requiring his attention. Not a big deal but it was a notable lack of service. It was, however, frustrating that my wife's meal was inedible and we had to wait until the secondary server (see below) came by to refresh our drinks before we could get it addressed. One thing that became quite noticeable was once we sent my wife's food back the server all but disappeared from our table. I'm not sure if he was annoyed or just busy but that was incredibly unprofessional. The kitchen made a mistake and the server is annoyed with us?!? Secondary Server: Very kind and helpful. He told us that they work as a team so he would gladly take care of our issue. He made no excuse for the kitchen like our main server and was not at all annoyed. He grimaced his face when he saw the plate of food my wife was given. This guy was great. Manager: Our first visit with the manager was very good. He apologized and said they were putting a rush on a replacement. It was at this point he offered to take the plate off of the bill. I thought this was a great move since my wife had to wait for her meal due to a poorly prepared first plate. However, when plate 2 became inedible the "free" offer was grossly ineffective. read more

Used to be my favorite place but I will never go back. Got a salad I have had before but this time it was so salty. They tried to accommodate by bringing a new salad with dressing on the side. Kudos for that. But same with the entrée, super salty. So, I ate very little salad and almost nothing of the entrée. I would have expected them to offer some kind of discount, even a token amount. But the waiter charged me full price, and then said "see you next time." Right, "next time" I want to just throw away $30 and not eat, I know where to go. read more

My husband, and I go out to eat often! I can honestly say this was the best meal and experience we've had at a restaurant in a long time!!! Everything from start to finish was delicious. We got the Kung pao and also honey shrimp. Both were the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. For dessert we got the lava cake, and the manager Kielan also suggested and brought out the banana spring rolls! I am so full, and so happy right now. Always consistent food-tons of attitude at the bar though. I know things are busy-but seriously-don't treat people like crap. I know you know your drinks-but maybe (god forbid) somebody likes it different then the way you make them (I am paying money for them). Damn, I remember when I used to go here maybe 5 years ago and they actually had a great vegetarian selection of fresh and flavorful veggies, noodles, rice and tofu. How the times have changed. I should have taken it as a sign when I noticed their once bountiful vegetarian menu was condensed to 3 options, but decided to give it a shot anyways. I tried the lo mein and buddha bowl. The lo mein was alright, kinda what you would expect from a cheap Chinese restaurant. But the buddha bowl! It was some steamed veggies with a hardly spiced hardly cooked tofu, claiming to come with a savory sauce yet there was no sauce to be found. I ordered this food via grub hub, and I ended up using these buddha bowl ingredients to make my own fried rice, adding actual seasoning, sauce and egg. So I mean if you wanna order restaurant food and then re cook it that's an option I guess. But for me, I prefer not having to revamp my restaurant order, so I must say PF Changs is off my list. read more

I've eaten at PF Chang's in several cities and this is the worst one! I've visited several times over the years and every time I get the worst service from stressed and overseated or snotty and stupid servers. I've never had food come out the temp it should be-hot food comes out cold or cold food comes out warm. The last time I went I complained to a manager-who had a familial resemblance to Ronald McDonald . She was rude and snotty, very reluctant to take off an order of Walnut Shrimp that came out well after the other dishes with icky overripe melon and hard chewy shrimp. This was my fist time coming to a P.F. Changs in 8 years and I was pretty disappointed. When we first got here there was a fake nail just sitting on our table. Euwww. We got past that and ordered our food, which was delicious, BUT there was a hair in my Korean BBQ Chicken Stir-fry, in the batter. That basically ruined my appetite and erased how the food tasted. I would like this place better if they would just add fried-rice as an option during the dinner and weekend hours. As a die hard Pf Changs fan, sad to say it has really gone down hill lately. I travel a lot for work and have been to at least 7 in different states. I eat here as much as my husband will let me. But we have both grown tired of being disappointed which sucks because it used to be so good and we would go all the time at the Belmar location in Colorado. Back to this location though, the sushi was awful, not fresh at all and you can't change the ingredients, so my husband can't eat it because most have avocado, he's allergic. Btw pre- rolled sushi is so gross! I always come for the hot and sour soup, I'm addicted to it and even though Pf Changs has gone down hill their soup is always good. Until today, egg drop and hot and sour were both sooo thick, and just tasted off. When I mentioned it to the server he said he noticed that too, ummm ok? I travel a lot for fun to different states and love P.F. Chang's. I've ordered "to go" twice from this location in Albuquerque. I ordered the same thing both times...Walnut Shrimp with Melon. First time was excellent but this recent visit was the worst tasting EVER! It was so bad that I ate less than half of it and threw the rest out. It was so awful that I thought I was going to throw up for sure. Such a waste of money. Needless to say...I will NEVER buy food from this P.F. Chang's again. read more

It has been a while since we had lunch here. I've always thought that the food is good here and that the steamed salmon and Chilean sea bass are excellent. Unfortunately, the steamed fish has been removed from the menu. I asked if the Chilean sea bass could be steamed, and the answer was yes but that the sauce was designed for sautéed fish and might not work for steamed. Such was indeed the case. The fish was merely good, not wonderful. We also ordered Korean BBQ chicken; its resemblance to the real article is perfunctory. Service was great, as always. read more

I did not have a good experience here cp. to other Chang's around the country. Place was very loud with blaring "music" and crowded on a Friday evening. Service was very slow and inattentive. We made a reservation for a birthday. We were given a poor table and no birthday dessert. It didn't seem worth the effort to complain as I just wanted to get out of there. My Pad Thai was unusually spicy with no warning to that effect on the menu, though everyone else enjoyed their meals except the birthday guest. read more

We dined here several times and were pretty satisfied with our meals. (so far no cold or frozen meat, taste was pretty standard as in other PF Chang' restaurants - I've noticed these were the major complains on Yelp). However, we are very, very disappointed with service. It happened already few times and I really don't look forward going there soon (even though we really enjoy their food). First of all, hostesses at the front desk seem so disorganized that you feel like stepping in and helping them. They seem all over the place and in my opinion they don't get anything done. We walked in on Monday night (didn't make the reservations, my mistake I know, but hey, it's a late Monday night...). About 40% of the restaurant was empty, but heck, "your waiting time is 20 minutes". Okay, we patiently waited more than 20 minutes and got our table. We were with a toddler and I requested a high chair when we arrived. Our table was an elevated booth and high chairs couldn't be added. At that point I just asked for a booster seat because wasn't ready to wait another 20 minutes (even though I knew he won't sit still in a booster seat...). The hostess left and she didn't give us a kids menu. The waitress was in such a bad mood that we were almost intimidated by her. I asked a question about gluten free items and she rolled her eyes! We placed the order and the food arrived pretty quickly (it wasn't a busy night as I said). Again, we were all happy with our orders. No complaints there (I would give 5 stars for food but 0 stars for service thus 1 star rating here). However, they really should do something about the service. And since it happened almost every time we visited I really had to write this review (hoping a manager will read it). read more
