Many moons ago when Changs first hit the scene,it was pretty good, consistently. Not great but journeyman Americanized Asian done well. Then something went askew. They faded off my radar after a couple of less thans at a few different locations. Then,a few years ago I found myself staring at a PF just as I exited a freeway with a hangry spirit. What the heck,I threw caution to the wind and had a great meal. I've been working different locations back into my rotation with much pleasure. Now for this location. It's the last in the area for me to give a second chance. I did and it delivered. However,the weak spot was service. The food good. Not excellent but good enough to return. In addition,they've done well on pricing in this challenging environment and it seems like I'm paying just slightly more than I used to. So,this visit they've redeemed themselves and earned back my business. I suggest this location is again a... Go! Note: missing review! We went there for a birthday and our server Jimmy was amazing he went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Despite all the mess that we did, he was very understanding and very professional. We had Chefs Feast for 2 House Salad was really good. CF Vegetable Spring Rolls was crunchy and delicious My wife enjoyed her MD Mongolian Beef Prem Entree Upcharge With Fried Rice Side And I had CF Lo Mein Shrimp and it was delicious. Best things first. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. The food was fine. Nothing was wrong with it at all. Taste was good just nothing that wowed us. We had the Mongolian Trio that we shared. We also shared the tofu lettuce wraps appetizer. We each had a cup of soup. Each had a Diet Coke and my wife had some fruity non alcoholic drink with passion fruit. What came as a surprise was a lunch bill with tax and tip at $83.24. This review is for the BAR. I went for happy hour and this is only allowed in the bar area. Ambiance: the bar area seems a little bit dusty. It needs a deep cleaning. I sat at one of the two booths. It felt dirty and old. The bar itself with the stools seemed ok. It was pretty empty so not sure if people know about the happy hour special's. Service: the bartender was nice and friendly. She was helpful and brought me everything I need. I didn't like finding hair on my cocktail glass. Food: Lettuce wraps were tasty. It's been a while since I had these. Crab Wontons were decent. I don't like how they sit them in a pile of sauce. It looked sloppy and messy. Just put it on the side please. Cocktails: Great presentation on both drinks. They were just ok as far as taste. I tried the two listed below.! APPLE SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE! FROSTED CRANBERRY COSMO! Overall my visit was decent. I can skip happy hour here. I just wasn't comfortable sitting in the bar area. I was very disappointed with the food quality today, I had togo order today, It was not what I expected. The Mapo Tofu was terrible--I couldn't eat it and had to throw it away. The Kung Pao Chicken was also not as good as it used to be. Overall, the food quality has declined and now feels more like fast food than authentic, freshly prepared Chinese cuisine. Brought the offspring to eat - have not been here in a while because 1- the prices are not ok and 2- there is so much better Asian food in DFW. The service 10/10. Every human was joy and delight. Never wanted for anything and treated with courtesy and respect. The interior is showing some wear and tear. We went on Friday night and it was not busy which tells me maybe others are not eating here either. The plates were almost candy like, sweet and very sauced. The dining companion liked theirs. Both servings were for three people so we had to get to go buckets which we ate for days. My side of broccoli was delicious. Side note: Not a great selection for the plant based peeps. PF Changs has always been one of my favorite places. I have to admit I haven't been in years but went recently with a friend in Allen. We made a reservation for Friday night and we were seated promptly. The server was very nice and very attentive no complaints. We tried the Chef's Feast so we could try a few different things. We each got soup --my friend got the egg drop. I got the hot and sour. we ordered the lettuce wraps as the appetizer and then honey crispy shrimp and chicken lo mein as the entrées. Everything was very hot and fresh out of the kitchen. I would have preferred a little more time in between courses because we were barely finished with our soup before the lettuce wraps and entrées were all put on the table. This was not a huge deal, but it would've been nice to feel like we were leisurely enjoying dinner. Callouts-- the chicken lo mein was amazing! It's normally a staple that you get and you're used to what it should taste like, but this just had an extra umpf to it--umami deliciousness. Honey Crispy Shrimp was delicate and not too heavy on the batter. Disappointment-- the lettuce wraps! This is normally my go to. I love it, but I felt like the chicken mixture had a little bit of a sweet taste to it, and I prefer it more savory. Also the sauce for the wraps was not spicy nor did the server make it in front of us as I am used to with chili and hot mustard. 12/14/24: Party of 12 had a reservation on the patio to celebrate my stepdaughter's graduation from college. The table was set nicely, and there were plenty of space heaters available. John, the manager greeted us and said that the space heaters were adjustable and could be tailored to our comfort. Jimmy was our host, and he was AWESOME! It took a team effort to bring our food out, and there were zero issues with accuracy. Our orders arrived around the same time, and Jimmy was constantly checking on us. Manager came by and took care of it. Which I appreciated. I ordered a side of pork roll. Did not taste so well. Ambience was nice and quite. Not too many people. My server was Ruben. We were over at P F Chang's to celebrate my father in law's birthday on Sunday. Picked PFC for the ambiance and the consistent quality of food one can expect across the chain. We reached past 8, had an Open Table reservation and were seated within few minutes. Jimmy was the server for our table - he was nice throughout the dinner, providing us recommendations and guiding us with menu options. He checked in on us couple of times after serving food as well. Often, you don't get such high quality servers, we were really happy with Jimmy and his outstanding customer service skills. We ordered Veg lettuce wrap, Ma Po Tofu with a side of fried rice, Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Peach Boba Breeze for our daughter. The Boba was very sweet, just had a sip to taste - one reason I personally hate Boba!!! The best dish was the Tofu, it had a nice sauce - Broccolis were also done to perfection. Kung Pao and Orange Chicken were in line with what we were expecting. Chicken lettuce wrap is any day better, veg wasn't all that bad though. Before we left, I thanked Jimmy for the service and making my father in law's birthday dinner memorable, he talked about the complimentary dessert that PFC offers and suggested the banana spring rolls. I have become a regular and it's because Lee knows what dishes to suggest. As a self-proclaimed creature of a habit, that can be a very tall order! Just inquire with her to what your taste buds may be craving! Her suggestion led me to try the Dynamite Sushi Roll. Mouthwatering and a feast for the eyes when served! This dish arrives to your table in a glass dome the server then lifts. Guess what? Smoke follows! P.F. My family enjoyed the food, only downside if you're on a budget it's quite expensive for a dinner. However, it's worth the price! I recommend the shrimp tempura roll as well! The "Taco Bell" of supposed fine Asian dining cuisine. Boy has this chain fallen. The food directly mimics the bagged version in your local grocery store. Every dish is covered in the same brown goo, giving the same texture and taste to no matter what you've ordered. Goo. So flagrant that we asked the server if in fact they're now using bagged versions in restaurant? Sadly, the server said it wasn't the first time she's heard that. Not to mention, the floors were dirty with grains of rice everywhere, lighting similar to a cafeteria, and as loud as a Chucky Cheese. We ate barely half the meal and left. Within an hour, we both had splitting headaches, which we could only surmise was from an excessive amount of MSG in the food we ate. TLDR: Chang's has switched to frozen food! My husband and I have been going to P.F. Chang's for years and years. It was always a special treat because the food was so fresh and delicious. A couple of months ago, we went for my birthday and I ordered the newest tofu dish. It was pretty good, but I noticed how small the tofu was cut. I thought it was an interesting change but didn't think much more of it. Last night, we ordered from Chang's again and I got my usual Ma Po Tofu. Same smaller pieces but the flavor was way off. Something was weird about it. My husband noticed his Sesame Chicken was much darker than every other time he's ordered it for the past 10 years. Neither of us really enjoyed the flavor. So, I did some looking into it and it turns out everything at Chang's is frozen now. This is information from servers past and present. They made a ton of business changes and switching to frozen food is the biggest one. And guess what? The prices are still the same. We're pretty bummed about this big change, so we will not be coming back. How can you justify those prices for frozen food? Slash the prices in half at least. read more

I haven't been to this location in a few years and unfortunately won't be back. It was a slow Sunday lunch but it took ages for our Salt and Pepper prawns to come out. When they did they were so burned you could smell the char. The calamari was also a disappointment- it was thick and chewy and the wasabi lemon mayo was bizarre.
