Puried so consistency not terrific... Format has changed since precovid. Used to bring out chili paste and soy and mustard to mix in sauces and entrees Not anymore Kungpow was not great. Batter used to be lighter and more corn starch and less flour. Plus seem like it was all wok prepared before. Now seems like frozen deep fried chicken bits warmed and then finished in a bowl with sauces. Or dude just not good on the wok... still, the Fluor breading on the chicken is a change... Not impressed tonight. Service was sporadic. Had to ask for our waitress twice. Clearly understaffed in that area. Probably the same in the kitchen as the Kung Pao was over cooked. Appetizer took nearly 15 minutes. Main meal was a bit longer and no one stopped to see if our empty glasses needed to be refilled. To-go containers for what wasn't over cooked took 7 minutes to obtain. Waitress said she'd be right back with a bag for the leftovers. This took an additional 6 minutes. I had to take a moment to pen words of praise for a terrific manager and even more terrific server. I had misplaced my free appetizer card and had spent 30 minutes looking for it before I contact the P F Chang's in Allen, Texas. John, the manager, told me not to spend a minute more looking for it as he would let me have the appetizer. He was positive and upbeat and thanked me for coming in to his P F Chang's. Once I arrived, my server was Jimmy. In all of the years of my dining, I have never quite met someone as attentive and wonderful as he was. I went through dropping my napkin several times with him providing a clean fresh one for me each and every time. His attention to all of our needs was superb. He checked on my husband and me several times throughout the meal asking if we needed anything. My husband, a CFO, even commented on oh HOW impressed he was! Went here again apx 2 weeks ago and was not disappointed. The menu has been updated since my last visit so I had to try something new and I was not disappointed. The Korean glass noodles were fantastic I added the chicken. Sooo delicious. We went during the week. The manager was up front and seated us quickly. Our waiter was very attentive. I'm still a PF Chang fan!! (Allen location). I typically prefer the Allen location to the Northpark location even though I live a bit closer to Northpark. Shout out to Kenny and Michael for being the best servers!! I love the way the restaurant team supports each other and how they all pitch in to serve the customers. I have been to this location a couple times over the last month and whenever a server is busy, someone else always comes up to clear plates, take additional orders, etc. For some reason this is RARE when dining out. I love the teamwork I see by this locations staff! The good: Basically all their appetizers. Their pork potstickers, chicken lettuce wraps, hot and sour soup and spicy chili green beans. The bad: the majority of the entrees. I have had the sesame chicken, the eggplant entree, and the beef bulgogi. None of then were good. The sesame chicken had no crisp whatsoever to it and was soggy. The chicken also had a weird unpleasant texture. I make beef bulgogi at home and its definitely a stretch for pf changs to be calling steak with a sauce on it "bulgogi". The chinese eggplant entree was so slimy and the flavors balanced in the dish seemed off. It was very spicy was little other flavor. The only entree I do like is the salt and pepper prawns. It is super delicious and they consistently make it well! The shrimp is coated In cornstarch or some light batter because it crisps beautifully. The fragrant chilis and green onion and their yummy dipping sauce round out the dish. Perfection! They pour some tasty drinks and I like the asian pear mojito and their rising dragon which is highlighted for lunar new year. Come and indulge in drinks and appetizers, but maybe skip the entrees! We love this PF Chang. The food is excellent but equally we love special people who work there who provide beyond top-notch service. Kenny, Diana, Lee, Valerie, Katie, the twin sisters, and Halie are those people. They keep us coming back! We visited this restaurant after over 2 years. Our experience the first time was not good. The food was not the issue but the service was quite pathetic. Then COVID happened. We were in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try and honestly, we did not regret our decision. We were seated immediately and our server Tiffany who was managing a few more tables did take some time to attend to us but was prompt and courteous. We got Steamed Pork Dumplings for appetizers, Kung Pao Chicken, and Changs Spicy Chicken for the main course. The food had good flavors, however, both Kung Pao Chicken and Changs' Spicy Chicken were supposed to be spicy but they were not. Changs' Spicy Chicken was actually more sweet and sour instead. We usually love this place. But this time was so bad we left. It wasn't the food, it was the lack of the dishes we love. We went for my husband's birthday. Right off the bat, they were out of his favorite drink. Then we ordered his favorite appetizer. We have always had the best calamari there and for some reason, they took it off the menu. 3rd strike happened when they could no longer fix Moo Goo Gaipan. How sad. This used to be one of our faves. At least once a month rotation. However, I have been deeply disturbed the last few times we have been there. The chicken dish came out looking and tasting like frozen chicken nuggets (yes, like the kind you would get from the frozen section of the grocery store and warm up for your kids) with some sauce added to it. Had an amazing meal here tonight! We were a party of 4 and ordered several things. First off, my husband's Old Fashioned was probably the best one he's ever had anywhere. Truly unique and delicious. The crispy green bean appetizer was delectable, as was the chicken lettuce wraps. My friend ordered Mongolian beef and she said the beef was the best she has ever had at PF Chang's. The chocolate soufflé was AMAZING, as was the apple crunch dessert. The best part of our dining experience, though, was our amazing and attentive young waiter named Hunter. My kids used to love this place and they had some friends over and we ordered a bunch for them. No lie they count the number of pieces of dried nasty chicken they put in each one now. Apparently this is my 2nd check-in at Allen's P F Chang. The first visit was not memorable, it's late and my stomach/body won't let me forget today's visit. Not good. I have heartburn from hell. So I'm guessing that's why I didn't review the first time. I ordered off the lunch menu. I got the vegetable roll for 2.50$. Total waste of money. (See photo below). It was bad. For 2.50$ I should have gotten something more. It was small with NO julienned veggies, I was served an empty roll. Come on! The Tokyo Udon Noodle bowl was a serious disappointment. It had some chicken, noodles, and an over abundance of green onions. It was awful with the sweetness from the brown sauce. This food was ill prepared. This Farm to WOK is a crock of crap. Don't buy into it. This "we don't just serve Chinese food, we explore flavors from all of Asia" well the Allen location failed to reach out to Asia. What is the story about PF Chang, I mean come on folks, really !! I love chinese food, I have had it all over the country and Canada too so I think I have realistic expectations of what is good (and bad) chinese food. Our neighbor wanted chinese and since nobody ever went to PF we figured that we would give it a shot. Not our best decision. Like I said, I have been to countless places and this was the first time ever in my life that almost in unison everybody at the table said the soup was terrible. We ordered the wonton, egg drop and hot and sour soup and every one was sent back. Think about it, have you ever been to a restaurant with friends and everybody at the table sent back their soup. My wife ordered the plum wine (which she orders whenever we go for sushi) and she told me that it was at best, just ok. Now the entrees were OK, note I say just OK. I ordered the spicy chicken which I just happen to order at Jeng Shi in Richardson two weeks ago and I can say with all certainty that the spicy chicken two weeks ago was clearly better but this one was pretty good to be fair. All the others in our party had the honey shrimp dish and they were good with it. They did enjoy the entree and took home the leftovers. So I will give the entrees a good review. As for the staff, our waiter was half stoned, no doubt about this. My neighbors worked in restaurant management and they are atune to notice when their employees are not right and this dude was not right. When we had problems with the soup, we waved over the manager and he stood there for a moment, point at himself like "you want me?" and then came over. I will say that he agreed to take back to soups and remove them from the check. However, his demeanor, his attitude was ice cold. Usually I get something like, "oh we are sorry you did not like it, is there anything else we can get you, yada yada yada" but this guy gave us a non-smiling bare minimum reaction. If you dont like your job, quit. So will I go back, absolutely not. Now I will admit that good chinese restaurants in texas are rare but not so rare that I would come back here. Try Jeng Shi in Richardson or Imperial Garden in McKinney, you do not need to settle for second best. read more

They've declined a bit in quality during the Covid times and currently a limited menu is being served (the second understandable). This evening my wife and I ordered take out food from PF Changs. When I called the restaurant the call was handled with professionalism and a sense of urgency. I was quoted 15 minutes. When I arrived the person at the front greeted me and ask me my name and she went to the back to see if my order was ready. Just as she was going back to the kitchen a young man was bringing out my order. I ordered the Chang's Spicy Chicken and my wife ordered the Pad Thai. The Chang's Spicy Chicken was delicious. It was seasoned well and it was piping hot for a take out order. My wife's Pad Thai was appeared to be fresh and the chicken was sliced thin and somewhat dry. The noodles were cooked to perfection. This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for checkout. The team at this location is always smiling and willing to go the extra mile. The restaurant was busy and it had a certain quiet ambiance. It was very clean and the atmosphere of the restaurant is unbeatable. read more

As usual, PF Chang's serves decently upscale Chinese dishes for an array of palates and preferences. But this review is not about their food. On Sunday the 3rd my family was celebrating my brother in law and myself as we had birthdays within a week of each other. And Tiffany, our energetic and charismatic waitress made it an unbelievable experience. Beyond the excellent service where we never needed to ask for something as our needs were always anticipated and met in a timely fashion, Tiffany went above and beyond to joke with the kids, make a spectacle of bringing out the birthday desserts and just go the extra mile. I don't know if these reviews actually impact the working conditions of the employees but in case they do, I have to reiterate that Tiffany did a fantastic job and brought extra joy to our dining experience. I've been to P.F. Chang's before in other states. Recently went to the one in Allen Texas for the first time. I was there to celebrate my husbands birthday. I would like to say that over all I had a great experience and would go back. I loved the fact that I could make reservations and not have to wait. My first impression was wow, they are fully staffed, did not seem as though they were short handed like some other restaurants these days. Everyone there was very polite and ready to serve. We ordered so much food, everything from chicken lettuce wraps to noodles, beef and shrimp. The only thing that I would say is that the orange chicken was a little too sweet and zesty. The sweet and sour was better and crunchier. I also loved the fact that they gave a complimentary dessert for the bday celebration. Very few restaurants do this anymore. So that was a plus. Our waitress Isabella was great. She was new and she was doing awesome. The ambiance there was nice. It was not too loud. Many people celebrating different occasions. Chang's food, but every time we do pick up there is always an issue. *slow curbside ALWAYS no matter the day *Orders has been messed up on multiple occasions (missing items, wrong items, one time there was a small bug in the lettuce for our lettuce wraps) Very disappointing because we love P.F. Well... first off the worst service! And it's wasn't the servers fault to a slight degree. 9 tables with only one server. There is no way he could provide service to all tables. My orange chicken was rubbery and not good at all. Trying to get the waiter's attention , but wasn't able to .. after 10 mins finally he came over to replenish my husband's water. To be honest this review is for the SERVICE. Jacob was OUTSTANDING!!! He absolutely made our night. The food was fine, the drinks were strong, the prices ridiculous, but Jacob was superb. One of the girls in our group mentioned she didn't want a drink since she was driving, moments later Jacob returned with a mocktail made especially for her so she "wouldn't feel left out" when the rest of us toasted the night. He kept our drinks full, our table clear, and offered humorous takes on things throughout our dinner. When he appeared with separate checks and got our bills taken care of quickly, he put a cherry on top of our night.
