Service is slow and impersonal. Went there last Sunday with my family for lunch. We had reservations so we were seated without having to wait. But we had to wait at the table. It seemed that the server was very busy with a lot of table to wait on. Any time he stopped at our table, he would drop off the food and leaves so fast that we could not even ask for anything else. It seemed like a production system with machines not humans. The food was ok, but the whole experience was not so great. They need to get more waiting staff and train them differently. read more

I ate at PF Changs for the first time last night. There were 6 of us - 3 couples. For me the company at dinner is more than half of any dining experience. Last night we had a great time with great people. Even though we had reservations and arrived on time we still had a short wait. This was not a problem because their bar area is excellent. We settled in there and ordered drinks. Shortly after our drinks arrived our table was ready. it is a nice place that is tastefully decorated. The tables are packed in. Once you are seated, it is not a problem but all of the walkways are single file. This keeps the staff on their toes. The special for 2 is definitely worth it. Of course, I wanted to step outside of that and go for some of their spicy choices. I was not let down. I tried the flaming red wontons. I call them delicious, sweet, hot and spicy. I added the Chengdu Spiced lamb. It was also good. The menu has lots of options that can meet almost anybody's taste. You can eat vegetarian. There are enough gluten free choices to get a reasonable meal and there are great choices for meat lovers. They even have good kids choices. There were several tables with children and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. For me I think this will end up becoming a place where I have a couple of drinks and have something light at the bar .... unless we have a night out with a bunch of friends. To say this location was bad is an understatement. It took over an hour to get our appetizers and drinks. When the food finally arrived the Mongolian Beef was so tough it felt like I was chewing a rubber band. The hot and sour soup was just sour and there was no heat to it. The restaurant was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. To top it all off they placed us in a table in the middle of the restaurant. This wouldn't be a problem, but there is no room to walk between the tables. One of the members of our party was hit in the head 3 times by servers trying to get past. read more

I remember the glory days of Changs. The days when you were seated and the waiter immediately brought out a trio of sauces (now you have to ask), chopsticks were the nice study plastic ones (now disposable in paper wrapper) and there was always someone to fill your drinks (alas no more). Sadly those days are long gone. Went in a few days ago to get my favorite dish, beef ala seschwan only to discover that it has been taken off of the menu with many other things. I ended up getting Mongolian beef and it was tough. Not worth the almost $18 price tag for the dish. Not really interested in the whole farm to wok thing they are trying to promote. Just wish they would bring back what they used to have. There is less expensive better tasting chinese out there. Sadly not returning. read more

I went to have dinner on my birthday this past Wednesday and my girlfriend ordered lobster sushi plate. Within 15 minutes of leaving she started having a strong headache and 30 after that she started throwing up for about another 30 minutes. I don't know you, but I don't go to a place to pay for an expensive dinner and then pass a really bad time afterwards. Well I'm just disappointed all around. I really like PF Changs, but this one in Allen has some issues. We arrived a little after 6 on a Friday evening. They seated us right away, and we sat and waited for our wait person. After about 10 minutes goes by our waiter finally comes over and itroduces his self and asked what would we like to drink. So we ordered our drinks and we had picked out a couple of appetizers that we told him that we wanted. He left and we thought he went to put in the order and get our drinks. Another 15 minutes went by and he finally brings our drinks. Then 20 minutes goes by and our appetizers finally come out. Then 30 minutes after that our food comes out. The food was pretty decent except for the Mongolian beef and lettuce wraps. We have lettuce wraps, crab wontons, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken. We had brown rice and fried rice. Everything seemed to be really good. The next evening we decided to eat the leftovers. Eating the lettuce wraps there were several hard pieces of something in it that you couldn't even chew. The Mongolian beef had some strings of something chewy and hard to eat. After investigating and not being able to figure out what it was in the lettuce wraps, it kind of looked like a piece of chicken bone but I'm not sure. Also there was gristle and fat in the mixture of lettuce wraps. So after I found that we couldn't eat anymore of it and just ended up throwing it away. So I would say to be waited on, and then also the strange thing that was found in our food that their training our their leader is off. Meaning the person directly over them. I did see that person 1 time. He came out of his office locked the door, stood in the back of the restaurant by the kitchen door for about 2 minutes. Then unlocked his door and went back to his office. Never saw him again. Most other places he would be out walking the floor asking guests if everything was good for them that evening. read more

This is the nastiest what they called Chinese food. Fried rice comes out oily and taste like orange chicken. Their wonton soup is flavorless and the chicken in it taste like your eating road kill. This is a nice place to go for happy hour. It's a nice atmosphere to sit and talk. It's not overly crowded and service is always good. Depending on what what time you go, there could be a wait. Well, the parents took my wife and I for our birthday which we have done many times at different locations. Usually it's fine. Not tonight. Food was good. I always get the salt and pepper prawns. Tonight they were tough and not properly shelled, so I got shells a few times. But that wasn't the problem. Our server needed work. During dinner, when we finally saw him and flagged him down, my mother's tea glass was COMPLETELY empty, he said sorry he's zipping around. Lots of tables. Um..he had 3, including us. Never asked how the entrees were, 2 minute check back!! Only gave 1 fork with dessert. Always give everyone a fork. Waiting 101. But, if that was all, it would have been fine. After running the credit card, threw it on the table and walked away. No thank you. No have a good night. No nothing. This is NOT ok. I am in the service industry. Let me repeat myself...THIS IS NOT OK. If he cant handle 3 tables, he needs to find another line of work. I have no idea what his name is because he never introduced himself, but he was bald and had s beard. If I was the manager, I would have sent him home. It seemed we were an inconvenience to him. Definitely not a family friendly restaurant. I made a reservation for our family. When we got there I asked for a car seat sling. The hostess rolled her eyes and told me that the table they had planned for us wouldn't work with a sling. I asked if the car seat could sit in the booth. She was incredibly hateful and told me no. I asked how low the wait would be for a table which could have a sling, she rolled her eyes again and told me she didn't know she would have to rework numbers. I went and got my baby backpack to try and get in and out quick. I almost walked out, but my husband said we should stay. I hope if PF changs reads this they seriously change their hostesses. We ordered. After an hour we didn't have our food. Our waiter was friendly but hardly came by our table. My drink never got refilled. A table across from us had also waited for over an hour. The manager was running damage control. He came by to tell us our food would "be right out." 20 minutes later it wasn't out. By the time it got to us, our 2 yr old was done. The food was actually really good, but after waiting for so long it wasn't worth it. Probably won't be back for a while. Just didn't feel welcome with kids. They seemed to cater to tables of young adults drinking heavily. read more

A new menu is being rolled out Monday and we got a taste of some of the changes/ additions to the sushi menu. Y'all! They are now doing a hickory smoke to the dynamite roll. It added a subtle touch of smoke that was so good! They do a fun table side smoke lid removal that smelled so good! We also got to try the newly revamped Lobster Avocado roll with avocado aioli. Lump crab and fried lobster together are so good. Y'all gotta try these. read more

I was so excited to see Orange Peel Chicken back on the menu. It has always been my favorite. When a co-worker suggested we get P.F. Chang's takeout for dinner today, I happily agreed. Having ordered this dish many times, there was no need to read the dish descriptions. I excitedly opened my to-go container ready to dig-in, only to be met with great disappointment at first glance. The once beautifully glazed chicken is now a "new recipe" comprised of an unappetizing soggy batter. Hoping that a good flavor would out weigh the unappealing sight of the dish, also only lead to disappointment. To be completely honest, it was disgusting. I was unable to even give the food away to other co-workers after they tasted it. In the trash it went...along with the $15 I paid for it. read more

I wanted to give a shout out to a great waiter at P.F. Chang's today. Jacob was his name. I decided I wanted to have a couple of appetizers instead of an entree. No problem. I ate the dynamite shrimp and crispy green beans. Both were yummy. He brought them out at the same time, which was perfect. He also remembered my dietary restrictions while I ordered and also checked out the individual items for me. I thought his service was above par! No pictures today but all went really well. Everyone used masks. The tables were clean. They had explanations about sanitizing the flatware. The tables were separated nicely. I would give you one bit of advice make a reservation before you go. They are reservation only right now. I told them when I left I thought it was a great meal. And that I really enjoyed eating food that I didn't have to prepare :-). And if you go into P.F. The food was probably the only good thing about this restaurant. We were seated around 3:30 and didn't leave until 5:40. Our waitress clocked out before we even received all of our food and didn't notify us. Because of this we were without a server for a while. It felt like we were constantly being forgotten about when asking for a water refill or sauce. I understand that because of COVID things have been difficult, but the restaurant was not busy, and I believe that this was unacceptable. We won't be returning to this location. read more

I have always liked this restaurant, even though it's been several months since we visited. Two weeks ago we went for an after church lunch and were just not happy with the food, atmosphere or service. They seemed to be understaffed. It took well over 30 minutes to get our simple order and we had trouble with the water glasses being filled. The atmosphere was pretty loud, which is no fault of the restaurant but it did add to a higher stress level than you'd want trying to have a halfway quiet lunch. The food was nothing special. It was about the same quality you'd get at a Panda Express but about 4 times the price. I hate to give any place 2 stars but just can't do better for them. We might go back sometime, but right now I do not recommend this place. read more

I ordered my family Christmas Eve dinner at 8:50am. The online order was placed early enough and order confirmation was for 5:15pm. Angelina, the server, after waiting in takeout line for 15 minutes, finally addressed us (she answered the phones and made no eye contact when she left her position) asking us for the name on the order. When she came back she asked us what time and how we placed the order. When she was informed it was placed online this morning, she stated that it wasn't ready (by the way-while I'm sitting in the bar here neither of the bartenders are wearing their masks appropriately either-nor were real "social distancing" measures in action)and didn't really give any kind of wait time as to how long it would be. She said they "didn't see the order". When I asked to speak to the GM, Sean apologized but didn't come to address the issue until I clearly stated that something needed to be done about the people waiting in the Takeout Line. He went over and stated that they were "working on it", but no ETA was given to where we could have cancelled the order and made different choices, so the apology doesn't really cover it as it didn't come with a solution nor more communication. And quite frankly, there was no real need by any of the staff to correct the situation they created nor care. This should have not occurred, and when it did-there should have been safety measures in place to make up for the error-get the order to a chef and get started. We waited for over forty five minutes in the bar and no one even came to give an update. It's more than disappointing-I'm was left scrambling to figure out what I'm doing for dinner on Christmas Eve (I cooked frozen meals that I purchased from Market Street. Not the same). From my opinion the restaurant didn't care that this error occurred nor that we and so many others were left waiting without food. I get it-life happens. But the real lack of care and service was no big deal from the restaurant's perspective. For me as a repeat customer-P. F Chang's has just lost me and anyone else who will listen to me as a customer. They don't deserve anyone's business nor money-support local and get rid of the Chang's! read more

Our family recently dined at the Allen PF Chang's and the service was deplorable. It looked like our waiter didn't want to be there that evening. He got 3 out of 4 orders wrong. After sending 3 orders back for the kitchen to redo, the manager came to our table to see if everything was OK. When we explained what had happened he gave us a complimentary dessert which helped somewhat with the overall experience, but there's really no excuse for not even getting orders correct in the first place. Even when the correct orders were delivered, the taste just wasn't there. That was definitely our last visit to PF Chang's in Allen! read more

I was not satisfied with my hostess because she was racist and disrespectful, although I am Middle Eastern meaning I am white, I guess she was colorblind and only gave tables to white people. I called the manager, he gave me a table immediately after I was waiting for over 40 minutes ( although the wait time was only 20 minutes). The restaurant was not busy, but our waitress never came back to ask about refills until we we finally managed to wave her down when we finished eating. Extremely disappointed. This was the third time we did take out from P. F. Chang's, and each time we left disappointed with the service and quality of food with our takeout orders. We arrived at the time given to us to pick up our order and ended up waiting a minimum of 20+ minutes each time. The food was either cold or poorly cooked. I was not pleased with this location. When I ordered, he took it down wrong and I ordered it spicier because the item that I ordered was not spicy. The item he brought me was already a spicy dish and the extra caught my mouth on fire. They did offer to fix it, but at that point I couldn't eat anything, so I passed and decided that is not some place I want to go back. I mean, they did the right thing in offering to replace the incorrect meal, I believe they comped it. I was not paying and not a hundred percent sure. I wouldn't go here again though. read more

I don't know what PF Chang's has done in the last few months but this place converted me into a fan. The boyfriend and I arrived at this location at around... 1pm on a Sunday and were quickly seated by the hostess who was kind enough to explain to us the new changes in their menu. After her departure, our server, Jessica (?) was absolutely hands down amazing. Not only was she friendly, but she was quick, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. After a few minutes of looking at their drinks, I ended up ordering their new Vietnamese latte on a whim because of how cold I was. (which by the way is life changing, really, go ahead and order it you will not regret it!) After the drink came out, the manager (?) stopped by our table to ask how I was liking the latte and how our experience at the restaurant was going. After ordering our appetizers and entrees, another server came over to our table to ask if we were interested in free egg rolls, (mess up? they made extra?) We were more than eager to take those from his hands and indulge in the greasy goodness that egg rolls are. Great food, great service, great location. We'll be back! read more
