the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered several items including spring rolls, lettuce wraps, banana spring rolls with ice cream, fried rice, noodles, ma po tofu, and Singapore noodles. All of them tasted good and best of the server was very nice. He was prompt and followed up on our serving items. This was our first visit to PF's in Austin. The chicken fried rice always taste different, one day it's dry , one day the rice is so hard you will choke. Some days the chicken taste under cooked ! Some days it's oily and bland ..I also alway ask and pay for extra chicken and there's never extra . It's beautiful inside but nobody ever looks happy to be there working ! A lot of times dynomite shrimp is raw . Fried green beans majority of the time are burned crispy . Where is the love ? read more

In these days of living in a Covid/pandemic world, I tend to order a lot of food when ordering in. This way I have food for days and can justify the expense of a meal + all the extra charges. I ordered the Singapore street noodles, pad tai, chicken fried rice, sushi (California rolls), and Ramen (pork). Overall things were bland or spicy with bland undertones. The California rolls were great, though I'm not sure why they are served with a sweet sticky sauce as it's unnecessary. I'm glad I got two orders of these, they were the highlight. The pad tai and chicken fried rice were bland, though the pad tai was still comfort food - there's something about those noodles. The ramen was disappointing; it was bland, and did not come with the egg I paid extra for. The Singapore street noodles were spicy but otherwise not very flavorful. My take is that the food I had delivered, and assume in the restaurant would be the same, is not especially worth the cost or trouble for me. read more

Really was looking forward to lunch here. Very disappointed to see the restaurant really has diminished its quality from a few years ago. We were seated in an outer circular booth and it was so dusty in the windows and the top of the booth. You wouldn't notice in the evening but it's daylight! There were very few customers seated and the meal was just blah. It was pricey and we left dissatisfied. Won't be back. read more

After a number of dinners, I need to start making some notes. Updates to follow. Pork pan fried potstickers are excellent. Sauce has a nice kick to it. Order extra. Hot and sour soup is ok, broth is thick, it's kind of light on the veggies and tofu. Ok but not up to our current hot and sour yardstick, which is Hao Q over on Far West. Sichuan beef has nice flavor, liked the beef pieces even if they were just a touch toward shoeleather on the chew spectrum. Ordered extra spicy and did have a nice kick, as did the carrot and celery that came mixed in. A pretty tasty dish. Sesame chicken is a standard at most chinese places we try and Chang's is weak. It's all breast, which I suppose is a plus for some diners, but the chicken has no crunch and the sauce is puny in flavor. Also ordered extra spicy and it did have some heat, but just like it was dusted with cayenne, not in a more flavorful way. Pass. We came here for an late lunch, early dinner, and I must say before 4:00pm is my favorite time to come. Everything seems fresher to me. I really like the lunch menu the portion size and the price. Vegetarians beware! They have changed the recipe for their tofu and it is disgusting. We ordered three vegetarian dishes with tofu and all came with this glutinous stuff that's stuck together and was not even identifiable as tofu. Plus vegetables in one dish were way overcooked and one dish way undercooked. We called and complained because it was a to-go order and they said sorry but offered no compensation. read more

Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the honey shrimp lunch for 1275. I added egg drop soup for an additional 350 which was outrageous. Sadly, it was the most strange and odd and delicious egg drop soup I've ever had. I can make better egg drop soup myself at home. The wontons were, tasteless and stale and left a bad taste. The honey shrimp arrived on the bed of steamed rice. It could not have been colder. And we waited quite a while for our food. Rude staff before being seated. We went early, about 6 pm. Host said a 10-15 min wait and we could wait at the bar. Seating at the bar area was spread out and we walked into an open space to wait. A space about 8 feet wide. After a few minutes a staff person behind the bar came over and said we could not be there. No greeting. No hello. Just "you can't stand here". I said "there are no signs or anything, we were told we could wait here. Where should we wait?" She pointed to the walkway and said "over there." It was weird. We decided to leave. On the way out I told the host what happened and he was surprised. We came into this location for the first time tonight. So we weren't aware of the "norms" here. They really need better signs and communication to patrons. Being nice helps too. But I will say the host was friendly. COVID is not a license to be rude. So many other places are friendly. We spent our money at another restaurant this evening. We won't be coming back. read more

Horrible restaurant. Service very poor, food was horrible. This is not Chinese food. Everything is bland and tasteless but full of salt. No spice even in dishes that were labeled spicy. Mao Pao is tasteless tofu and hard broccoli not a soup type dish which is customary. Don't waste your money. Yuck read more

I had NO help during pickup. This is at the downtown location which has NO instructions for pickup unless you are dining . We called in and no one helped me at the front, so I went back to the kitchen and was escorted out. So, parking, pick up needs help! Haven't been to PF's for dinner in a long time.. let me just say WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED! Honey Crispy shrimp? Not crispy. Lo Mein, Chang's spicy chicken, Mongolian beef, and orange chicken just ok. My soup and the 2 orders of fried dumplings came out long after our meal was delivered. Oh, did I say fried dumplings? I meant BURNT dumplings. Come on PF Changs, used to love this place- no wonder we could get a table for 6 on a Friday night. Portions have also changed for the smaller- I would be ok with this as long as every dish was to expectations. They were definitely not family portions. Geez. read more

I hate to give one of my top places to dine a three star rating because I will continue to dine there. Last night food order was not what I ordered online. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with broccoli and extra sauce and NO ONIONS..Well once I got home guess what I discovered?? Onions .. I can't eat onion because of a allergic reaction to them. I calles back in and was left on hold for a long time, so I tried calling back in and no one picked up.. Anyways I had to give the food to someone else because I didn't feel like going all the way back up there because they were pretty busy.. Anyways I will continue to eat there but this visit was upsetting.. read more

I rarely out out to lunch for work because there is a limited choice in the area. Today one of my consultants and I decided to go for our shared Birthday lunch. Her favorite place is PFC. I was only at a PFC once before in Dallas. I found them at that time to be very pricey for delivering little food. We get there at 11:45 and fight for one of the last two NON Valet parking spaces. Come on now, why valet parking at lunch and over half empty in that area. There was a 20 minute wait for the dining room or we could be seated on the patio. We go for the patio next to the heater. The waitress was prompt to take our order. She comes back quickly with our iced teas and leaves. So we are start chatting away. before I know it my stomach s screaming, Feed Me! I look at my watch and OMG! It has been 45 minutes since we ordered. We flag her down and she tells us there was a screw up with the computers. She put our order in but the printer in the kitchen didn't print it out. Okay. Two minutes later the manager brings us our food. He apologizes and explains again what happened. The best part: He says lunch is on him tody and to please order dessert. Yes!!! Free Food. My lunch buddy had the Moo Goo Gai Pan lunch bowl. I had the Mandarin Chicken. She loved her food and me, well, not so much. It was good but nothing special. On the upside, they do have brown rice. My opinion is the same as after the first visit. Pricey for little food that is okay. read more

Good food, good service, good times. Don't forget about PF Changs! I would recommend making an online reservation before you go. The service from our server Nicholas was 5 star , make a reservation ask for him. There's lots of parking in at this place. I started off with a G&T. They have a Japanese Gin, Roku, and a specialty drink that is made with it and looks great. You should start with the steamed dim sum, the presentation is great. The portions are enough to share for the table, I recommend pepper steak and prawns, they're both served with a serving of rice. read more

I used to be a fan of PF Changs but not anymore. Since the pandemic started I feel this location has gone downhill in general. The food just isnt what it used to be. However, the reason I am writing now is because I just had the worst food poisoning after eating at the Arboretum location. I ordered the honey shrimp and vegetable fried rice. So either they dont clean their shellfish and/or produce, they dont cook it properly, or perhaps even an employee was ill. Either way, I almost ended up in the hospital after almost 10 hours of being violently ill and in excruciating pain. The Dr. did monitor/measure my cramps and they were equivalent to a labor contraction - thats how painful they were. I saw a number of people send food back and one couple literally got up and left. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this location at all costs. Its been 4-5 days later and I'm still not feeling well. read more

Ordered my food over the phone on Thursday with Rachel. I specified no onions on my entire order she read it back to me and it was correct. When I got home I noticed there was onions in every entree we ordered fried rice, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, 4 egg rolls. I Was very disappointed. And our sweet and sour chicken was more soggy breading than chicken absolutely disgusting. Lo mein was what looked to be the small lunch portion and I paid for dinner portion. The Friend rice was plain and clumps of white rice stuck together. The only decent thing was the soggy egg rolls. This place has really went down hill. read more

I got the crispy chicken (sub tofu) and it was spectacular! If you are vegetarian get this. It is amazing. My wife got the thai vegetarian dish and it was good. The spicy green beans were VERY spicy but delicious. The rice was perfect and my carnivore friends (Mongolian beef and the orange chicken) and they said it was wonderful. In the end, I bought a few small items, but three small items came out to about $20, which felt overpriced for what I received. The overall service experience was not pleasant. The owner came across as rude and unwelcoming, and it didn't feel like customers who made the effort to come support the business were being valued. I understand this is a small, local mom-and-pop shop, and I usually love supporting small businesses. However, customer service still matters--especially when people travel a long distance to visit. Because of this experience, I probably won't be returning unless it's for a pop-up event.

The sweet and sour chicken was just as flavorful and delicious as the wonton soup. I would personally recommend the sweet and sour chicken to all orange chicken lovers!! Service: My waitress was very polite and welcoming. She was also very helpful when suggesting her personal favorites/best sellers. The drinks came out quickly and the food came out exactly as ordered. Atmosphere: Eating under the low lights was a laid back fancy environment. Took forever to get drinks and appetizers ordered. Appetizers were slow to come. Quality was average to good. The Kitchen not getting food out very well. The appetizers came and went and we sat and we sat and we sat. About a half an hour! Finally someone brought out our Order and it was not hot so assume it had been sitting? Three of five entrees were good. Two of the five were not good. One beef dish was beef jerky served with sauce and vegetables. Hard to chew it was so tough. Not a bad chain, but I am not a big fan at the portions for the price you pay. Now, I am not expecting gobs and gobs of food, but it seems they can serve more. Also, I am not a big fan of the waiters--they haven't been very responsive to my requests for more drinks and they've gotten my order wrong several times. Having said that, I do think the food is good overall. I'm a fan of the kung pao chicken and crispy honey shrimp. Their lettuce wraps never disappoint either. We just had the worst service ever. Now a little background. We live in Taylor tx. That is 18 miles east of round rock. Now PF Chang's is my wife's favorite restaurant. We drive in about twice a year to eat at PF Chang's. The staff was not motivated or welcoming to the level that we have become used to over the last 10 years. I did try to speak to a manager before leaving. I waited 10 mins and left. So here we are. Maybe they will listen to this. I decided to stop going here mainly because their food is unbelievably salty. Every time I visit, I give special request to make it least salty and yet some of dishes are just unacceptable. Their service is good and ingredients are fresh. Everything else is good enough but I just cannot enjoy their food because of their extreme saltiness. I tried at least 10 dishes from them, and some dishes were ordered multiple times in order to give them a second or third chances. It did not work, unfortunately. read more

I travel for work and can usually find a PF Chang on the road. I can't eat gluten and they do a wonderful job of a GF menu. I heard the founder's daughter has celiac so they ware all versed on how not to cross contaminate the food. The food can be a bit too salty at times but otherwise it fits the bill when on the road. read more

For a dish described as chili‑seared with hot garlic soy, scallions, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, and onions, I expected way more personality. Traditional Hakka noodles have layers to include savory, tangy, a little smoky, a little garlicky. These tasted more like plain stir‑fried noodles someone dusted with heat at the end. The shrimp were fine but didn't add much. And the garlic naan was... naan. Nothing memorable, nothing offensive. For a place that advertises itself as "distinctive and bold" with Indo‑Asian flavors, this bowl felt like it played things way too safe. No wok‑char, no umami punch, no garlic‑soy depth -- just noodles that were spicy for the sake of being spicy. The sesame chicken with fried rice was perfection. I ordered extra sauce but you don't need it. This dish already comes dressed perfectly. Everything traveled well and arrived hot.
