I walk in to the restaurant it's pretty empty. Get told there is a two hour wait as they only sit with reservations. It's the first time I have seen such a thing in PF C it hangs. We get told that the bar is free to sit at. So we decide to sit at the bar where there is only one person sitting and now us. We get totally ignored by the bartender. Another couple comes in to sit at the bar, the bartender service them their plates and silverware and proceeds to take their order. Serves them their drinks still doesn't acknowledge us. Another couple comes in and there she goes serving them plates and utensils, yet we still haven't gotten anything still. She then after seeing our frustration comes and asks what we would like to drink I tell her water and walks away and ignores me. After she has served everyone she finally takes our drink order and our order as we don't know how long it will take. When she brings out drinks I asked her why we hadn't gotten our plates and silverware she says well I am working my way around the bar. I said as I understand that is her case, why were people that came after us, doesn't say much and goes and brings the plates and utensils. She lays the plates hard on my side of the bar. She then after 2 minutes yo mes to me and says "Was it necessary for me to being you them since your clearly not using them. I told her I really hope I am not hearing what I am. I was like I really don't want to eat here anymore so we proceed to exit the restaurant where I asked for the manager and it was the host and all she did was apologize and say she would address it Not even offered anything. Last month was my wife's 70th birthday and she wanted to dine outside at PF Changs. It would be our first outing since Februdary and we were nervous about being around other people so we planned to sit outside. However, all the outside seating was occupied so we reluctantly agreed to sit inside. Not to worry as it was mostly empty. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having Samantha as a server at this location. She proceeded to give bare minimum effort the entire night. Also witnessed another guest who she was serving whose food arrived to the table, but they were never given silverware. Samantha proceeded to ignore the guest which lead to them having to pick up silverware that was on another set table. Then complained and got a gift card to come back. Came back and got some dry Singapore Noodles with no shrimp in it! I went tonight and it was NOTHING like it used to be. - The Manager working the night of July 23rd you need some help! He was extremely rude. -we had a roach crawl out of our booth and the manager acted like we were bothering him by asking to get it off of our booth! So we wanted Chinese and ventured out on an adventure to P.F. Chang's. They are conforming to the rules with limited seating, but don't let that deter you. They offer reservations via their mobile app and also curbside delivery. We ordered lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, Orange Peel Chicken, and won ton soup. All were very good. Service was great at well. We watched them clean and sanitize the tables once guests left so you can be assured it's safe. Give it a try. You'll be happy you did. read more

Recently tried to walk in for an early dinner (5p) on March 25, 22. The host asked us if we 2 were with a party or if we had a reservation. We said no and he said, "then you'll need to sit here - pointing to the left side of the restaurant" - which IMO has always lacked the ambience & comfort of the main seating area. Since the place was mostly empty we asked if we could sit in the main area or outside. He said no. So we left. I got outside, turned around, walked back in and asked if I could speak with the manager. The same person took a business card from the collection at the desk, pushed it in my face and said, "I am the manager." I asked him why we couldn't sit in main area. He said, "the main area was for large parties and people with reservations." I told him, "yes, but it's practically empty." He said, "well we are also short staffed." I gave up!! This manager has a minus level of personal skills and his reasoning is apparently at another location. That is, **if the place is short staffed** how is it there is enough staff to serve us on the left side of the restaurant, but not in the main dining area or outside? Our family has been eating at this location (Jollyville) for 20 yrs. Trust me, it's CHANGED! And, Guest Services...you have a lot of following up to accomplish from all of the negative reviews here. I've been going to this location for the last 15 years. They have been declining the last 5. The only thing taking me back is taste and quality of food. Today I ordered my favorite, the simple fried rice order. It was hardly cooked. No flavor. Very bland. Basically white rice with vegetables. I usually have lunch here once a week, and love the food! Management is great and know my order which is pleasant, and always follow up to make sure everything is up to par. Always greeted with a smile from the people checking me/others customers in, and majority of the wait staff have good service. It's June 2020 and the food has been vastly improved/upgraded at PF Chang's. We've been eating at PF Chang's for over 100 years. I can remember when the chain arrived in Salt Lake City and it caused a sensation. Over the years their food has had highs and lows. I went to this restaurant 3/6, was a short 10 minute wait to be seated by a great hostess. My waitress was overly friendly and took our drink and appetizer order immediately. The appetizer didn't come for over 35 minutes. Then 20 minutes later our food came out the Mongolian beef was so burnt we could not stab with fork. I did not eat any of it. I asked waitress for check and exp I could not eat it. She insisted on getting the mgr. After 20 minutes no mgr I paid for this trash and left. We went to have a nice dinner on Sunday, we made a reservation for 7:30p. The host were great, very heartwarming upon arrival. When we sat down, our drinks were ordered, along with our food. My husband ordered the Lo Mein combo with the almonds...food came no almonds. Waitress (Faith) said sorry like it was nothing, then asked to get it remade. We explained my husband was a diabetic and needs to eat. Upon eating I ran out of water.....no refill. She checked on us once, never refilled my water or any other drink. It took what seemed like forever just to find her for our bill. We asked for a manager to get our bill so we can leave...and that took what seemed like forever. When we finally got the bill, she gave us a print out that we had to scan to pay. She stated THEY PERFER NOT TO TOUCH OR USE PEOPLES PAYMENT CARDS anymore. Barely explained how to use it when we said we didn't know how to, but didn't care. She walked away and never came back to the table. When we walked out there was no thanks for coming, not one word! 5 star service, 3 star food We had a nice dinner at the Arboretum P.F. Chang's this evening. Our server Sidni was amazing. She was super friendly, quick and ensured we had an excellent experience in the restaurant. We had the lettuce wraps, crab Wontons and Mongolian steak. The lettuce wraps were good as usual (although with a small amount of sauce). The Mongolian steak had a puffy texture that we are still unsure as to how it was achieved, however had good flavor. Skip the wontons as they had little flavor and are much better at their fast casual cousin Pei Wei. I had the peat mojito and loved it, whilst my wife found the cucumber strawberry limeade undrinkable until half a cup of water was added. We will be back and hopefully Have another server as nice as Sidni. read more

Chili-garlic green beans were perfect in texture and flavor. Banana Spring Rolls served with coconut-pineapple ice cream is my new all time favorite dessert. Unhurried service met our every need. Maybe it's just the pandemic and good help hard to find but food and new smaller menu were not anywhere near where they used to be. The local hole in the wall Chinese places by home are way better and cheaper. Feels like this place has slipped to a Olive Garden -like quality level. Won't be back. Wow, PF Changs in Austin is HORRIBLE. Service is pitiful, slow and in the back talking rather than waiting on tables. The Manager was busy measuring ice temperature instead of making sure people were doing their job. Bar service was extremely slow (drinks were good). When we were seated, half the plates were dirty. Took 15 mins to get someone to take our order. All this happened when 20% of the tables had guests. Use to love this place, go to on Friday night. Wont ever be back.... read more

The TL;DR version. Come by for Happy Hour appetizers. So, one of my dining companions and I drove past early this evening and decided we hadn't been in ages -- and couldn't remember why we stopped going. We were seated quickly and our server was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Happy Hour menu with lots of discounted appetizers. (Just a FYI, the Happy Hour appetizer menu is also significantly smaller portions, which may be a good thing if you want to try a variety of options.) Verdict. The dry rub ribs? Amazing, but I'm also a sucker for a dry rub rib. The multiple spices made it amazing. The pork egg rolls were filled well, but also didn't hold up well and could've been crispier. I also wasn't a fan of PF Chang's interpretation of sweet and sour sauce. Pork dumplings? GREAT! Both the steamed and pan fried were excellent, with a slight edge going to the steamed. The Mongolian potstickers were inedible. The beef filling was an odd texture with an even odder seasoning. Our entrees were average to above average. Both of us had few complaints about either the Chang's Spicy Chicken or the Beef A La Sichuan. The food was good quality, but the portions were significantly smaller than most Chinese restaurants. In short, with the amazing appetizers coming from a chain restaurant, I couldn't help but compare this to being the Asian version of TGI Friday's -- come for the appetizer menu and fill up there. read more

So got a BIG slap in the face tonight from our waiter. Came in from Waco to celebrate my birthday with my friends I've known for 40 years. We decided to go to PF Changs, my friend made a reservation making sure to mention it was a celebration of my birthday. When we sat down, our waiter asked us "Are we celebrating anything special ladies," to which my friend replied we are celebrating her birthday. We saw AT LEAST 5 people get sparkler and a piece of cake for their birthday. Not me. We ordered cheesecake and we got charged for it. Arrived at restaurant at 5:30pm and no one picked up phone, then no one came out to see us till 545pm at which we were told your order is not ready and prob will be 20-30min. At 615pm, no order and then they say the kitchen is backed-up so you are number 35 in the kitchen. So was I lied to the first time around?? I then asked what does number 35 mean in minutes? They said around 30-35 min. At 7pm, no food still. Finally at 715pm the order came out. No manger apologizing or no discount for the poor poor service. If they can't handle so many pick-ups then stop taking orders. And is the kitchen is so backed up tell people honestly when they first get there so they can choose if they want to wait or get a refund. read more

Empty restaurant on a Wednesday night and I was asked if I had a reservation.... I needed a reservation!?. After looking around at 95%empty we ask if they are understaffed... "Yes" was the reply, from the 4 hostesses! Ok So we go to the bar, because we can still eat there. We make some seats for ourselves, no help from the very busy 4 hostesses, all looking at 1 screen. We wait 10 minutes and not ONCE did the bar tender offer water, tell us he'll be just a minute, or even acknowledge us despite walking past us 4 times. Whoever manages this store: figure this out! Train your staff in customer service and client attention. Even if short staffed you can crack a smile, a nod of acknowledgement, something to communicate you value our business.
