Arrived at restaurant at 5:30pm and no one picked up phone, then no one came out to see us till 545pm at which we were told your order is not ready and prob will be 20-30min. At 615pm, no order and then they say the kitchen is backed-up so you are number 35 in the kitchen. So was I lied to the first time around?? I then asked what does number 35 mean in minutes? They said around 30-35 min. At 7pm, no food still. Finally at 715pm the order came out. No manger apologizing or no discount for the poor poor service. If they can't handle so many pick-ups then stop taking orders. And is the kitchen is so backed up tell people honestly when they first get there so they can choose if they want to wait or get a refund. read more

Horrible. Normally this is my go to place when I travel and it's a cause for celebration. What a massive disappointment. Empty restaurant on a Wednesday night and I was asked if I had a reservation.... I needed a reservation!?. After looking around at 95%empty we ask if they are understaffed... "Yes" was the reply, from the 4 hostesses! Ok So we go to the bar, because we can still eat there. We make some seats for ourselves, no help from the very busy 4 hostesses, all looking at 1 screen. We wait 10 minutes and not ONCE did the bar tender offer water, tell us he'll be just a minute, or even acknowledge us despite walking past us 4 times. Whoever manages this store: figure this out! Train your staff in customer service and client attention. Even if short staffed you can crack a smile, a nod of acknowledgement, something to communicate you value our business. We can be forgiving about shortages, but not rudeness and incompetence. MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT! read more

Wow! Service has really gone down hill here. I called in an order and Changed mind on what I wanted so I immediately called To cancel and change order, and when I called to do so, I was greeted with an extremely rude man who at end of call said (like a child pouting) "it's already ready, but fine" and I replaced it with just lettuce wraps. So an entire meal for two was ready in the two minutes since I ordered, but simple lettuce wraps won't be ready for at least 10. Ok. The girl, at front gave me a horribly condescending and nasty attitude when I told them how rude the guy was on the phone had been, snd didn't even let me finish. She just pointed to the takeout area and gave me a rude smile and continued her conversation with the waitress she was just chatting with, back to the door, clearly annoyed that I interrupted their conversation. Her attitude was worse than his. NO DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE all the way around. Management should be ashamed. I know the manager from the old days, Brett, and he a ould be embarrassed for the place. We have always loved this PF Chang's, sitting at the bar for happy hour and enjoying the friendly bartenders. Today was disappointing because of the service. We got our first drinks right away, and several appetizers. Then it's like we became invisible! Both of us sat with empty glasses and hopeful faces but could not get eye contact. The bartenders were busy, cleaning and chopping limes, carefully passing by without asking us if we needed anything. Customers around us came and went. Eventually we got refills and more apps because we waved someone down, but it was very frustrating. The food was tasty and well done, so I'm leaving better than one star. So got a BIG slap in the face tonight from our waiter. Came in from Waco to celebrate my birthday with my friends I've known for 40 years. We decided to go to PF Changs, my friend made a reservation making sure to mention it was a celebration of my birthday. When we sat down, our waiter asked us "Are we celebrating anything special ladies," to which my friend replied we are celebrating her birthday. We saw AT LEAST 5 people get sparkler and a piece of cake for their birthday. Not me. We ordered cheesecake and we got charged for it. I went to the Jollyville location and I was utterly disappointed. I ordered sesame chicken and the Great Wall of chocolate cake. The sesame chicken was just gross and I ordered extra chicken which it looks like they didn't even put it in my entree. The entree was poorly cooked and had hardly any meat for a double portion that was ordered. I am not salt crazy but I had to add salt to this soup as it was bland. The noodles were clumped together also. I asked for the crispy wonton strips on the side...didn't even get these and was given a fork to eat the soup. Wow, what happened?!? The food here USED TO BE SO GOOD! We USED TO LOVE to eat here. It's been a while since and we were sorta in the area so we ordered take out. The service was terrible. The food wasn't ready for more than 30 minutes beyond what we were told to anticipate. Even though the restaurant was only 1/3 full the staff blamed the delay on being "under staffed". Even more disappointing is the flavor of the dishes! They are terrible! We got the Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, and a shrimp tempura roll. They taste nothing like P.F. The bartender had a terrible attitude and spent the rest of my meal fighting with the manager and exclaiming to the patrons at the bar "we are out of lettuce wraps, sorry they just told me but you can't get mad at me for something that isn't my fault" and walked off. My daughter had a better experience when going out with her friends on prom night a couple weeks ago, mostly likely due to the fact that it was a weekend and there was more servers. I came in today with a reservation, on time, but still had to wait for 20 minutes for my table to be ready. I also heard that there was only 2 servers working during the shift (incredibly understaffed for a large-scale restaurant like this). Saw some families walking in only to be turned down due to the lack of staffs. I didn't come here for some authentic Chinese cuisine experience but I'm still rather disappointed with the food quality. The dishes all seem to be made very rushed, and in all honesty, Panda Express has same dishes but with better seasoning. That is to say, I had an okay dining experience thanks to the old gentleman who was my waiter and the dining area is rather fancy. You know, I realized at dinner last night why we like coming here.... Sure, there are plenty of gluten-free choices if that's what your wife needs. And when you and your wife land in Miami, hungry after missing lunch on a long day's travel, and see there is a P.F. Chang's right next to your Aventura hotel, and you just want a quick bite before checking in and crashing for a nap, you know you'll stay on her good side. But that's not it. I've never been good at breaking down a menu, so I'll let others talk about the salty-meets-sweet-meets-crispy honey chicken, or the fried rice that's filled with large tasty pieces of [protein of your choice]. Or the (can be made gluten free) beef and broccoli with the refreshing pop of ginger in the background. Or the hot fish that, while it tastes OF fish before the pleasant punch of heat, never tastes "fishy". The same dish that once we introduced it to my sister-in-law, became the reason she now comes north to visit us more frequently from her place south (near Bordie Oaks). That's not it either. It's about straw and sweetener wrappers, suddenly and silently disappearing. Or the attention to what used plates or silver need to be removed (or replaced). Or being brought a few more lettuce wrap leaves without asking, when it was noticed that you were ending up with extra filling at the end (lettuce wraps can also be done gluten-free). It's getting a replacement drink quietly dropped off when your wife gets down to the last 20% of her soda glass, or your tea being refilled at the same point (except the one time your glass was taken for a moment, with the server's apologies, because of her concerns that the ice level wouldn't be satisfactory if refilled from the pitcher). It's about simply being quickly brought extra rice when you ask (without the $1 surcharge we got at a certain just re-opened trendy Thai restaurant), or an extra fortune cookie when you mention that one brought to your table came without a fortune, instead of just getting a dumb stare of disdain. It's about your leftovers being carefully packed (in not-styrofoam) and, even though you generally ate "family style", everything being properly sorted and bagged for you without drama. This is the service you expect from the $50+ per person small plate place in hipsterville that you sometimes leave hungry from, not a place with $14 entrees you either share with someone, or happily have for your work lunch the next day. Yet this is the service we got from Cydne on a Monday night. And the service we've grown accustomed to getting at P.F. Chang's. And why I'm bumping it up to 5 stars. read more

For mains we had orange peel chicken and hokkien Street noodles. We loved the orange peel chicken, not a lot of breading and great taste. The waitress was having a bad day, I hope. She knew nothing about the menu and foods. The few questions she answered were all wrong. On the other hand, the food was good. Chang's Spicy Chicken was good & tasty. It would have great, if the chicken was deep fried, similar to,the Honey Chicken. The Honey Chicken with brown rice was excellent. The Mongolian Beef with stir fried green beans was excellent. I asked for about five sauces to eat my tempura green beans. The portions are small, so no need to ask for a to go box. It is not authentic Chinese food by any stretch of the imagination but the food is consistent and good. Tonight seven of us waited only 20 minutes for a large booth. We could have made reservations but did not know they changed their "no reservation" policy. When did that happen? Service was fine but a little impersonal. Our robotic waitress raced through the specials with a glassy-eyed stare as though she was being timed. Steak and mini-desserts have been added to the menu. What? Steak? As I mentioned, not your traditional Chinese fare. I typically get a Don's Don Martini and am stuck on the lemon pepper shrimp. We do not eat here that often but next time, I have promised myself to try a different drink and entree. I saw several choices on the gluten-free menu I could go with. Most of us had a mini-dessert and I have to say, it just did not work. I think PF Chang's is struggling to be unique. But this twist to the menu just seemed to make them odd. I tried a cranberry mule while I was eating lunch with my mom the other day while we were out shopping and they bring out a little row of cranberries to garnish your drink. It was pretty cute! The last time I went to a PF Chang's was years ago. Normally I would go for lunch because the dishes are a few bucks cheaper and come with soup. Tonight the place was packed but strangely we got a table right away. As we made our way to it, I understood why. There was a large party that they had put a few tables together for and rearranged the remaining ones surrounding it in an awkward pattern. We got one of those tables. I had to push my chair in multiple times as people passed me, holding trays of food directly over our heads. Numerous servers had to scoot by shoving their asses directly in our faces, and we were next to the wait station so we also got to hear the servers complaining about this (LOUDLY) the whole time like they thought we couldn't hear them. Yikes. I would have given them 2 stars for that alone but the saving grace was the food because it truly is delicious. We started with the egg rolls and dipped them into the trio of sauces that come for every table. On their own they were great, but the sauces take them to a whole other level. One is a red chili sauce, one is like a sesame oil soy, and the other is a mustard horseradish sauce that I didn't touch as I don't care for those flavors. My entree was the best part for me. I got the spicy garlic noodles and they were bliss! It was the perfect balance of heat and garlic, nothing was overbearing. Family style be dammed, that plate was mine! I got through half before I had to wave the white flag and take the rest home. My husband got a beef dish with brown rice that he also devoured. I was pleased to find that even after all these years, their food is still just as good. Our server was very nice but clearly frazzled. She kept apologizing for us having to wait for refills, our check, and a to go box. I felt bad for her, especially having to hear her fellow servers talk smack about her slow moving at the wait station. Not a magical barrier guys... I am stuck doing carry-out food these days. I am trying to be a good guy and not drag my small children into nicer restaurants. I know that flying noodles, random crying, and sticky sauce-covered faces kill the vibe in a dining room. I wish I could say that my carry-out experience at PF Changs went well. I drove 12.9 miles each way to pick up food for a quiet dinner at home. That's a 45 minute, 26 mile round-trip. At home, I discovered that my order was botched. We were not given any rice with the entrees. My entree was inedible without rice to balance the syrupy, pungent sauce. The moral of the story is this: be wary when ordering carry-out from this restaurant. If you assume they will give you what you have paid for, you may be in for some disappointment. If there is a next time at this location, they may get to face the wrafh of my 3-year-old, who is prone to sporadic bouts of psychosis. Or, perhaps they would like to see my 5-week-old in the dining room. Her tiny cries are quite endearing to us, and, I am sure, to everyone else in the restaurant. Skip A De Do Da my darling, what do I see a giant cement horse as I entered PF Chang's today to meet a friend for lunch. I have eaten here before years ago so I was excited to try it again. The décor was great and clean, our server was so good it made our lunch experience just super. His knowledge of what I ask and his attention to detail was the way I like service to be. We missed the lunch rush by arriving at 2pm. We ordered the Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps, I loved this dish we finished it and I wanted more but instead we ordered the two egg roll plate which included pork and lots of veggies. The sweet and sour mustard sauce was great; this is one of the better egg rolls I have had. It appears the menu they have is the standard menu for lunch and dinner we ordered two lucn bowls for our main course. I got the Crispy Honey Chicken with white rice. This dish was lightly battered and quick-fried in a flavorful sauce. Yum, Yum, Yum I really liked it. My friend got the Sesame Chicken with red peppers, onions and ginger in a sesame sauce. She liked her as did I. (I tasted it.) You can see where I am going here..... I really like what I had at eat toady as well as the place and service. Yes as many mentioned the cost is a little high but well worth it. I can see why they are busy most of the time. Would I go back? This is actually a four and a half star review. My praises are high and my complaints are pretty minor. ***** P F Changs is an American institution and a deserving one. It is the haven of perfectly executed American Chinese food. American Chinese is a real genre. Many "Chinese" dishes are either of American origin (chop suey), or are of chinese dishes that were created in reaction to the importation of American raw ingredients (sweet and sour was invented in china by early 20th century cooks experimenting with catsup) or have been standardized into a particular form in America (mu shu pork served with oyster sauce as a flavoring). In the hands of good cooks, these dishes are all first rate. P,F. Chang's does not do the old fashioned stuff like Pu Pu platters - but serves up all of the contemporary American chinese dishes that our nation loves. Their versions are top of the line. There are no weaknesses anywhere on the menu. The rooms always feel opulent and are beautiful to look at. And their house cocktails are lethal and wonderful. (Another American invention.) Quality control is always excellent. I have never been to a bad local outlet. * P. F. Changs evolves with the time and some changes are good and some changes I am not so keen on. They got rid of the waiters teaching you how to mix your own sauces with mustard and rice vinegar. Good riddance. Mixing your own sauce at the table never made sense when the food always came perfectly flavored from the kitchen. However, the new innovation is to reduce the size of the Chinese menu and to add a lot of Asian fusion dishes (generally in the form of Sushi.) I suspect their Sushi is just fine. But Sushi goes no more with American Chinese than lobster goes with steak - never mind the continuing popularity of Surf 'n Turf. The public may like it - and some of P F Chang's concessions to the public like having lots of salads, and a gluten free menu - are actually pretty cool. (The salads are first rate) But the menu feels smaller and less filled with wonderful Chinese choices than we used to have in the old days. However - what remains on the menu is excellent and you can always eat fairly well at a P F Changs. To be sure - if you can find a legendary regional Chinese restaurant in your local Chinatown - eat there and have the gourmet experience of your life. But for the American classics, very few restaurants top P F Changs. read more

Very upset with the service here. I have been to PF Chang's many times before, so I wanted to celebrate my birthday here since I have enjoyed the food in the past. I had a coupon for a free birthday appetizer that we wanted to use towards the lettuce wraps. I showed the waiter the coupon before ordering the lettuce wraps, and he seemed to brush it off. Turns out he did not apply the free appetizer to our order. We also ended the night feeling sick from the food. We ordered the crispy honey chicken and the filet mignon beef... We both had terrible stomach aches all night. Last thing... you would think that they would celebrate your birthday and give some sort of discount or free dessert, even after the mishap of them not redeeming the coupon. The manager even came over to wish me a happy birthday as we were paying because he knew we were upset. If you knew that you had upset customers, wouldn't you try to make it right?! Felt as though they wanted to turn our table and get on with the next people. Will never come back here again, and that's upsetting because I have always loved the food. I was very disappointed in our service at this restaurant. We set a reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday- putting that info on the reservation. Our waiter, Kyle, even asked if we were celebrating any occasion & we responded "yes, celebrating her birthday!" We saw 5-6 sparklers with complementary desserts come out. Kyle never acknowledged our friend's birthday!, - no sparkler & we were charged for the dessert! Don't bother making a reservation since they make you wait 15+ minutes before being seated. Went for a special occasion that turned into a waiting game. The service from our server was great personality wise but only appeared occasionally which left us without drinks and utensils for eating. The quality of food was one of the biggest disappointments. From the soy sauce, to the appetizer of calamari, the dumplings, and our entree's. The calamari was very oily and greasy. The dumplings were doughy and raw. The entrees (spicy chicken that was not spicy) were dull in flavor and masked by whatever thickening ingredient they used for the sauce. Then the dessert we thought were chosen by the customer not the server and were not charged on a birthday, we were given a dessert we did not pick and were still charged for it. P.F. However I only give 3 stars is because our waitress (believe her name is Kelsey or may be Chelsea, she speaks really quietly and hard to hear clearly). Anyway, I have never encountered in restaurant business that waiters/waitresses responds a "uh?" when she/he is unable to hear/catch the customer's order at the first time. Well, Kelsey did.... her response was a "uh??" when we're trying to place a drink order.... I was shocked. And throughout the dining experience, I felt she seemed "depressed", and not so inviting.... The folks at my work love the PFChangs. (pronounced p-fffff-changs) I think the food is fine - I recommend the lettuce wraps because they are the nom nom! They also have a cashew chicken that features lots and lots of delicious cashews - yum! Service is a little slow at this location, compared to their downtown location - perhaps the ladies that lunch don't mind this - but for those of us who actually have to work for a living - we mind. If you plan on spending less than an hour and half eating, head there before 11:15PM. Also, I take issue with seating two people in a booth meant for six or eight. The horses outside rock my world and as soon as I figure out how to do it without being caught, I am stealing those bad boys for my front yard. read more

Been a fan of P.F. Changs for a few years now. I really don't eat much Asian food as I was raised on meat and potatoes. I like to try dishes that I've never had before and pretend that I can use chop sticks. The wife and I recently celebrated another anniversary and she wanted to come here. Here? Are you sure? It's our anniversary! Mental note to self... don't ruin the day. I had the moo goo and my wife tried the pad Thai which was really tasty. We also had a few glasses of wine and dessert.
