Fun projects for the kids tonight!

We had such a wonderful experience. The food, service, ambiance, and extra care provided were top notch. It was busy, Lunar New Year with entertainment and they still managed to provide prompt service with care. Food was awesome; kids had sweet and sour chicken, adults had orange chicken and Mongolian beef. Appetizers came out quick and we finished with a free dessert! We'll be coming back very soon! Shout out to Michelle for her wonderful service!

Stopped in and picked up some take out. The California kid that helped me out was KOOL, the food on the other hand was not great. I ordered the dumplings well done, unfortunately they were not. The lettuce wraps did not come with lettuce! WTF!! The lettuce wraps also came with a new sauce, it looks like the new owners have made more changes and things keep getting worse. Maybe that is why the place was empty, come on guys and girls we can do better! Such a $45 bummer!!

ALL AREAS ARE REVIEWED 1-5, 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Parking- 2, not much in the area and it's all pay to park meters Seating- 5, I went at noon and there was on,y one other table taken Wait staff- restaurant was super slow and there were several waiters and a host Speed of Service- seemed to take forever to take my order, then bring soup, then bring out my meal. Food- hot, and taste like every other P.F. Chang's which is what I like about it. Ambiance- quiet Price- about $20 for tea, soup, and a lunch entree. Close to the cost of Panda Express with a lot nicer atmosphere Overall- service and food were really slow, didn't like the fact that the only provided way to pay was to scan a QR code. Shout out-no one this time, everything seemed to move in slow motion with the staff.

Great location, warm welcoming atmosphere. The lettuce wraps are amazing. They can make a full meal on thier own. Rice noodles available. Great cocktail, local beers and wine.

They don't offer the vegetarian lettuce wrap anymore. I was disappointed. The tofu dish with steamed broccoli was good but not the same as how I remembered it. The peach boba drink was overly sweet. Food was just ok. Our server was nice , helpful and attentive.

Amazing presentation and the flavor was on point too. Thanks to Bailey for recommending.

A solid 5 for seating, food and especially service. If you are lucky enough to get Bailey as your server, take her recommendations to heart. Our meal was as close to perfect as it gets. As I scan reviews it's sad that parking issues, or errors with Uber eats, brings down the reviews since these things are less in control of the restaurant itself. Just my opinion.

I am a die hard local girl but I have been wanting to try P.F Changs for a hot minute. We came towards the end of lunch so it was pretty empty while we were here. We started off with our first fever, then passed to another and then was passed off to the bartender. Wereally didn't have a consistent server so you can tell our dining experience was off to a great start! We ordered a few things today. The lettuce wraps were our appetizer and for lunch I grabbed a bowl of hot and sour soup and stir fried eggplant. The hot and sour soup came out in a nice sized bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't hot nor sour. I was expecting a good bowl of soup and it didn't deliver. I did appreciate all the tofu, wood ear mushrooms and bamboo in it. Other than that it wasn't good. The lettuce wraps came out pretty fast. They weren't hot. Almost like it was pre made and then served. It was good. Our lunches came out pretty fast. Again, the rice wasn't hot and the eggplant was ok. While we were getting our lunches served to us, our second server already handed up our bills. Lol That really threw me off. The bartender took for after that. He did a good job manning the bar and taking care of a couple tables. I just found the whole dining experience annoying and unprofessional. I did hear someone say that they'd rather eat at Panda Express and now I can see why. It's a very pretty restaurant. Maybe I caught them on an off day but for a franchise restaurant you'd think they'd have their shit together. I think I'll stick with my local Asian joints for my Asian style foods.

Great service, amazing food and very cool ambiance! Tip: get the crispy honey shrimp, pan seared pork dumplings and garlic noodles (these aren't on the menu but you can ask for them) and lastly get a Midnight Run to drink! Yum!

The rental company didn't give them an option to renew their lease. After 17 years, they are closing their doors without a choice. With closure comes choas. I remember when my family gave notice of our closure. We were chaotic from the time we announced it till the doors closed. Everyone is getting in their last hooray in. I anticipated that kind of madness when we stopped in for lunch today. And I was right, the place was a madhouse. When I have eaten here in the past, there was hardly anyone. It was just another table along with mine. It's always chill. Today on the other hand was pure madness. Tables were full of customers and dirty plates. I went ahead and sat myself and waited for my server. It took a minute for my server to get to me. She was the only one working so I just hung out till she got to me. Tea and menus were finally dropped off and I kicked it till my daughter showed up to have lunch with me. My daughter and I looked over the menu. Knowing it's our last meal at this joint, we decided to go ham. We both ordered soup, a lunch and I also snagged a tofu chow fun for later. My soup order was hot and sour. For lunch I went with your typical order of mandarin chicken, chow mein and pork fried rice. My daughter got won ton soup and beef with broccoli, fried rice and an egg roll. We waited for a hot minute for our food to be prepared. You can tell they were not staffed properly. Only one server with a whole dining room full of guests. I'm sure there were only a couple people working the kitchen trying to push out all of the orders coming in. Our soup did finally make it out. We both ordered small bowls but the bowl size was gracious. They were both hot and steamy. My hot and sour soup was ok. It wasn't really spicy but it did have a nice sour element to it. There were pieces of tofu, bamboo and carrots. It was thick and hearty but overall it was ok. My daughter's won ton soup was average. The broth was nice but there was not a lot of filling in the won ton. It was mainly won ton wrapper. And I found it odd that they put lettuce in the won ton soup. Lunch was dropped off shortly after we started working on our soup. When I placed my order, I had asked for fried rice with my meal. Server said it would be an extra charge and I figured it would be. My plate didn't have the fried rice. It only came with my chicken and chow mien. After I addressed my server about it, she looked completely lost. I got an "ok" and never saw her again. So, I just worked on what I had. The chicken was good. It was fresh this time around. I love the saltiness of the chicken with the sweet and sour sauce. The chow mien will always be one of my favorite dishes. It reminds me of my childhood, growing up at my uncle's Chinese restaurant and eating it all the time. I love when the crunchy noodles get all soft from the sauce. The bean sprouts are my favorite. The chow fun was really good. It was savory, the noodles were chewy and the tofu was perfectly fried. They will always have some of the best chow fun in town. I'm giving today's visit a 5 star but in reality it's truly a 3. I didn't get my rice, our server didn't really tend to our table and I had to get my bill adjusted for extra charges. I know the end of the road is coming soon for them but hopefully they will be able to prepare themselves for the next couple days because the choas will only get worse and clearly they need the extra hands. I wish these folks the best of luck with their future endeavors, whatever they may be. I'm happy I got one last meal in before doors are finally closed at the end of this month. Truly sad that another local joint will be just a fond memory for us now.

Most places have remodeled and taken out the charm and ambiance of restaurants making them stale. Lucky Palace still has that charm and evokes that feeling of being a kid, with your family, on a Friday night family date. I will say the food seems to be on the saltier side here, pretty consistently. And I am on the search for the best sweet and sour chicken in the valley, the chicken was overcooked on the sweet and sour and the sauce on the extreme sweet side. The one time I ordered generals chicken, it was a bit unmanageable to eat because of the salt. I never waste leftovers, I did not eat these leftovers because of the salt content. With that said, I think you can find some good things on the menu. We did enjoy the egg rolls (on the super greasy side), and my parents manage to find great options such as the Lo Mein. Give this a few tries and I do believe you can find a dish you will keep coming back for. Hidden in a strip mall type setup, you would never know it is there unless you are looking for it. I kind of like that. It feels hidden. Like a secret restaurant.

This joint is real close to my Brother in law's job and had commented that they push out some pretty darn good fried rice. Word of mouth is the best kind of advertising so I'm taking his word and trying it out today. I'm going off of his fried rice recommendation so I'm hoping it's going to be good. I work downtown so it's a close drive to get to this joint. I have passed this place for many years and never tried it out. I know there's a cute panda sign up front but I honestly didn't know what to expect. The building is older which is fine. Hella good food is pushed out of janky spots all the time. Walking in, this venue is tiny. It holds a good amount of tables. It could use some upkeeping and a little updating. It looks very run down, dirty. Janky is fine but it's a turn off when it's dirty looking. Unfortunately I came too late for their lunch menu. I always find it the best way to be able to try a little of everything with lunch combo plates. After checking out the menu, I was excited to see that I could get a small bowl of hot and sour soup. I don't have to commit to a large bowl. I also wanted mu shu tofu. I asked about the tofu and my server seemed confused about it. So, I went with the chicken to prevent any communication issues. I feel like tofu is a standard item in Chinese restaurants so it threw me off that she was confused that I wanted it as an option. While I was waiting for my food, I worked on my hot tea. The pot could use a wipe down. It wasn't the cleanest looking tea pot. My soup came out pretty quick. I had a feeling the soup was pre made since they offer it by the bowl. To be honest, I can tell I was going to be disappointed by the soup cause of the color. It was light, no chili flakes, no bamboo shoots. After taking a couple bites, I figured it was egg flower soup with extra soy for color. They added tofu which is normally in hot and sour. Man, what a disappointing bowl of soup. It was decent for what it was, egg flower but there was no heat and no acidity. They should not be calling that soup hot and sour. The mu shu was dropped off and it looked promising. It was rich in color. There were nice pieces of chicken throughout the dish. The pancakes didn't look like the normal pancakes that normally come with mu shu. They were thick, powdery and looked uncooked. But I was willing to give it a chance. I rolled up a fat roll with the pancake and mu shu. Added a nice amount of plum sauce and dove right in! Ya.... that pancake was not it. It tasted thick, raw and doughy. I removed everything in the middle and decided to eat the mu shu like a stir fry. I asked for a side of fried rice and ate a much as I could. The chicken in the dish was tender. There was a good amount of veggies. The flavor was good. I would have liked more cabbage to the dish. The cabbage adds a nice crunchy element to the dish. Eating it with the rice was good but it would have been nice to have the full experience with the right pancakes. I don't see myself coming back. Service was not even basic, food was dropped off and never was checked up on. The soup was disappointing and misleading. The pancakes were criminal. And you're charged 3.25 for half pot of tea. Mind blowing that you're charged that much for tea and a half pot at that. Most Chinese joints use generic green tea, 50 bags to a box. I know, I served it for years. I can't imagine how much you're charged for soda. The mu shu was decent which gives this visit a 2 star but overall, this visit was not worth the 20 bucks I spent.

If generosity were a flavor, New Garden Chinese Restaurant would be a Michelin-star contender…read more We ordered a couple of combination dinner plates and a hot and sour soup, and let me tell you--this wasn't a meal, it was a logistical event. The bags arrived promptly, steaming like they had just been hustled out of the wok and into our lives with purpose. Credit where it's due: delivery was fast, everything was hot, and the sheer volume of food bordered on heroic. This is the kind of place that feeds not just your table, but possibly your entire week. Visually? No notes. Golden egg roll, glossy sauces, that comforting, familiar American-Chinese glow that promises indulgence and maybe a nap afterward. And yes, it delivered on the nap. This is heavy food--the kind that makes you loosen a belt and reconsider your evening plans. But then... the flavor. The hot and sour soup leaned a little too enthusiastically into the "sweet" side of its personality, like it had somewhere else to be and rushed the "sour" part. The egg roll came in bold--very bold--with a five-spice presence that kicked the door in, rearranged the furniture, and didn't really ask if you wanted that kind of energy. Across the board, things landed in that curious middle ground: low mein, fried rice not bad, not offensive, just... there. Like a cover band that knows all the notes but hasn't quite found the groove. To be fair, this is American Chinese comfort food in Boise, not a culinary pilgrimage. And in that lane, New Garden absolutely delivers on value, portion size, and speed. You will not go hungry. You may, however, find yourself wishing the flavors hit with the same confidence as the portions. So: shoutout to the delivery game. Shoutout to the sheer abundance. But flavor-wise? It's a polite shrug with potential. Would I order again? Maybe--on a day when quantity feels more important than nuance, and I'm ready to commit to leftovers as a lifestyle.
