Long before everyone even knew what Celiac was, PF Chang's had a gluten free menu, separate prep area, and even separate gluten free dishes that your food is served on. The dining room has great mood lighting, plenty of seating, and never gets too loud. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous regarding my need for gluten free food, even offering gluten free sauces and recommendations. Of course, the food is always delicious. I've never had an issue with P.F. Chang's before. Until I came to this location. The lo mein noodles were somehow dryer than dry. The broccoli and beef is atrocious. The broccoli was still hard but the beef was overcooked. And the crab wontons were not crispy. The dough was still mush. This caused a very valid crashout. I would have given zero stars if i could have. Though I understand that we didn't have a reservation, we we told that it was a 30 minute wait. After over an hour, we asked for a manager. He apologized and said that we would be next to be seated. When we finally were, the menus were wet, and no one even acknowledged us. After 20 minutes we finally left - no waters, no drinks, no "someone will be right with you" Dining out is an experience that we save for and look forward to. PF Chang's shines most brightly when it comes to apps. From Lettuce Wraps and Green Beans to Crab Wontons and Calamari, this is really where they shine. SO much so I can't say I've ventured too far into the entrees (besides some fried rice to go with the lettuce wraps). This visit I gave the Crispy Honey Chicken a go and was reminded why I stick to apps. The sauce was excessively syrupy fully negating the "crispy" and providing an unappealing mouth feel. However our server Dena was attentive and fun. She's very social able and made it a very comfortable and welcoming dining experience. While the prices are a bit elevated for the food I suppose some of that is reflective of the nice ambiance of the environment. My daughter and I went to PF Changs yesterday for a late lunch (4:00'ish). As soon as we were sat at our table our waitress was right there. She was very friendly, fast and intuitive. All of the staff was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. My server Molly was one of the best servers I have came across in a long time! They had wonderful suggestions and were fantastic with dislikes and food allergies. The music was at a good volume and the lighting was perfect for all to enjoy. Enjoyed a lunch today with my friend for a special occasion. Have been here before but happy to see they've done some redecorating and the menus offer a good selection. Prices are reasonable and servings plentiful. Robert took care of serving us and was friendly and attentive without rushing us. We ordered a nice glass of bubbly each and both had a lunch bowl. Mine was Sesame Chicken with vegetables over fried rice and my friend got the honey chicken on white rice. Both were very good with the right amount of spice. Decided to have another go at P.F. Chang's before heading off to the theatre to see the musical about the Temptation's at the Pioneer Center. Last time we went, it was okay, nothing special. This time, they met all of our expectations and then some. The three of us ordered four dishes with the thought that we'd have leftovers for the next day's lunch. That went out the window when we got our order. We got the Salt & Pepper Prawns (outstanding), Beef with Broccoli (perfect), Chang's Spicy Chicken (spiced to perfection), and Pepper Steak (my favorite). It's been a long while since I've eaten at PF Changs - at least since before Covid, but they've brought back their happy hour and I needed to give it a go. We tried their crispy fried green beans with a spicy little aioli - delicious! I should have ordered another plate. Their calamari was tasty and the pork dumpling were fun because they finished cooking table side. They have this little chili sauce that was easily poured onto any dish it was so good. I feel like I was missing some fresh options on the happy hour menu. Everything was fried so some folks will be bummed out about those options. They used to provide sushi on the happy hour menu. This could be a good addition to vring back. 4/5 stars for the food. As expected, the restaurant decor was superb. This is one thing that you can always expect from a PF Changs - its beautifully decorated. 5/5 stars for the ambiance. Our server was very good - In fact, I'd venture to say he's the best part of our experience. If I recall, his name was Dustin? He provided the type of service that anyone would hope for in a waiter. 5/5 stars for this guy. My biggest upset about my experience was my drink. I ordered the Jade Mojito and it was extremely sweet - maybe some soda water could have helped, but it upset my stomach. My wife ordered the Poloma, which I tasted, and it was also too sweet for my taste. That said, it could be just right for a lot of other people, just not for me. 3/5 stars for the drinks. read more

Came in for lunch and to take advantage of the birthday offer (free appetizer), and found the place pretty busy, but we were still seated right away. Our server was a young man who was very polite and attentive, answering questions that we had of him. He took our drink order and returned to our table shortly after taking our drink order. He took our food order and answered additional questions that we had. He returned with our appetizer which was the dynamite shrimp. This was very good! there was a crispy layer on the outside of the shrimp that made it crunchy, but didn't take away from the shrimp inside. The dynamite sauce was very good and had a little kick. About the time our appetizer was finished, our waiter arrived with our entrees which were the Mongolian Beef bowls with brown rice. The presentation of the bowl was well done. We could see the fresh green onions, seared strips of beef on top of the rice. My wife and I were both surprised by the flavor and quantity of the dish, and look forward to returning in the future. Our waiter returned with our check and gave us our pay options (through him or via the QR code), I chose the QR code. It was quick and easy, and our waiter came back around and confirmed that he received the payment, thanked us and moved on to another table. PF Chang's was one of my favorite go to places for Chinese, but lately, I feel the quality and has gone down a bit in the last 2 years. One of my favorite dishes is their Lo Mein because the noodles were vibrant and mixed with plenty of bean sprouts and vegetables, but recently, their Lo Mein is meh. Noodles are cooked just barely enough, and there's not much bean sprouts/vegetables. My best way to describe their food now is that it tastes rushed. Their menu has been downsized, which I don't since it gives the cooks a better opportunity to cook what they do have on the menu really well...and I once again have to say, meh. PF Chang's isn't what it once was, and considering the prices, I may be cutting my visis to 1-2 times a year. read more

Very awkward. Went for my hisband and mibe anniversary and was a really bad experience. Whe you order fried rice you think egg right? Well NO egg what so ever and then the server comes back and says the chef says the eggs disintegrate.....:what??? bever heard that before. Then my husband orders a Mongolian beef and is supposed to get either white or brown rice and you can upgrade for three dollars and get fried rice so that's what he did. He upgraded to get fried rice. Well when it came out he just got the beef no rice...so then he was was like screw it ill jusy order a plate of it for $14 so we did and thats when the whole egg thibg came about...we got it loaded with veggies and NO egg. We got one to take home that again had NO egg so idk. I called manager when i got home but they didnt do anything but apologize and ask if he could make us fried rice if we could come back...we were home already got kids and we live far so idk just pretty crazy for a higher end restaurant read more

I normally order chicken lettuce wraps at P.F. Chang's. These were some of the weirdest, most icky tasting lettuce wraps. I think I've ever tried. I would not go back now. They have new staff. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience last night was so poor I want to let people know. It was a very uncomfortable. We had a party of 7 last night. Our reservation was at 5:45, we were sat at about 6. Our drinks were a little slow to come out, but not a big deal. We ordered 3 appetizers and then we each got a dinner special. The appetizers came out one at a time, each one about 10 minutes apart, 30 minutes or so after sitting. After an hour, we still had not received the soup we ordered w our meals. We said something to the server and she brought some out. About 30 minutes later we still had no food. We start asking how much longer for the food. We got an apology, but still no food. After almost 2 hours since we sat down we still had no food and asked for a manager. At that time we realized other tables were also waiting an extreme amount of time. After the manger told us our food would be right out, we waited just a bit longer and he brought out just 2 plates of cold food. We ended up walking out, along with 3 other tables. I have never walked out of a restaurant like that. But 2 hours for Chinese food when you have a reservation is crazy. We did tip the waitress, I know it wasn't her fault. This is not the first time I've heard of long waits here. Please improve your processes! Will never go back. read more

When we lived in the CA Bay Area we used to enjoy the Walnut Creek location. This was our first visit to the Reno restaurant. Driving up the first thing you see are weeds growing in their landscaping. To me that's a sign they don't care about their restaurant. Based on what happened next, that sign was true. We had a reservation. We told if we wanted a booth we would have to wait 10 minutes for them to clean one. This is at 5:15 and they were not busy yet. We said a table would be fine. The table they sat us at a big spot on it and was sticky. It took the waitress 10 minutes to come to our table. She did apologize and said she didn't realize she was our waitress. She did get a towel and clean the table. There was a cardboard flyer advertising 8.99 Mai tais. More on that later. We ordered the 3 piece dinners with some upgrades. The lettuce wraps came out and were delicious. The soup came out minutes later. Ok we can do both. Not a big deal. Well just a couple of minutes later, she plops the main courses down. Now we have everything on the table at once. So much for a leisurely meal! By the time we got to eating the main course they were warm at best. They were also very bland. The waitress never cleared any of the dishes so we were moving things around all dinner. She did ask if wanted dessert as she had the check in her hand! The check was totally wrong. She charged us for every dish plus the upgrades. She tried tell us that it was correct. I asked to see a menu so I could check it. She then went to her manager who then came back with a new check, 20$ less. He said she didn't did not put it in correctly. We then noticed the price of the drinks were more than on the card. He said that didn't start till next week. We looked at the card and there was no date. He said that management wanted them out on the table. I wonder how many customers order the dinners and get charged wrong and don't notice. The misleading cards are just wrong. Looks like they have gone the way of Olive Garden and Applebees. Corporate ownership that only cares about the bottom line. We won't be back! read more

I've been to a few over the years when we travel and I always wondered if the food and service standard had declined over time but coming back to Reno I know that's just not the case. We ordered a good bit of food and everything that came out was exceptional. The fire steak wonton appetizers were a treat and the king pao Brussel sprouts were some of the best I've had. We shared entrees for the table so there was a nice spread of honey shrimp, Mongolian beef, Chang's chicken, and short rib fried rice. We were warned about the spice level of the fried rice which I appreciate but it was just right for us. Everyone from the host stand to the service staff and management really went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. For Asian fusion in Reno it's always PF Chang's for me. read more

This review applies solely to the catering food/services provided. The Good: The setup was fantastic. The disposable chaffing dishes, frames, sternos, and even a lighter made it so easy to serve everyone and keep things warm. There were plenty of good quality serving spoons and tongs. There were extra aluminum pans. The plates and utensils were good quality. White Rice: Fluffy and not overly sticky. Brown Rice: Well cooked and good quality rice. Just OK: Beef Broccoli: Tender bites of beef and broccoli had a nice bite - wasn't mushy. Bland flavor that approximated the expected flavor. Chicken Pad Thai: Flavor and preparation as expected. No more no less. Vegetable Lo Mein: Probably had the best flavor of all the dishes. The noodles were well cooked. The vegetables seemingly came from frozen. The ratio of noodles to vegatables was 50:50. Would have preferred more noodles. The Bad: Orange Chicken: Extremely thick breading around morsels of white chicken. It was impressive how lacking the orange flavor was. The sauce was orange colored, but not orange flavored at all. Pork Fried Rice: Did not taste like fried rice. Dry and bland. The pork chunks were dry as well. Edible when doused in soy sauce. Mongolian Beef: The sauce had a decently rich and garlicky flavor. The beef was over cooked/dry and the sauce couldn't make up for it. The scallion stems were limp from being overcooked and mealy. When the best entrees were the rice, you done messed up. Good rice isn't the bar for a Chinese restaurant. This wasn't even decent Chinese food. We paid $550 to serve 14 people. There was more than enough food and leftovers..........because we mostly didn't enjoy it and didn't eat it. Would not recommend or try again. read more

Today is my birthday and the plan, made over a month ago, was to eat at P F Chang's. Since we are all home bound, we decided to try take out. Ordering online was easy, as was pickup. The chicken lettuce wraps were their usual stellar. Signature lo mien was filled with meats and veggies; it was tasty good. The Mongolian beef n broccoli was flavorful and spiced to perfection . However, the spicy chicken and the sesame chicken were not up to the usual standard of moist and tender chicken bites. They unfortunately resembled Chicken jerky, fried dry and chewy. Disappointing. Redemption occurred in my Great Wall of Chocolate dessert. The perfect birthday dessert! Four Stars today., as I realize these are trying times and s#*% happens. Lovely Valentine dinner tonight. Started off with 2 flutes if champagne and their yummy lettuce wraps, followed by spicy chicken and Mongolian beef. All food was served hot and spiced to perfection. Topped off with one of their giant slices of chocolate cake. It was their Valentine Special for two and was lovely beyond belief. Needless to say we came home with leftovers.
