Great time- our server Marco greeted us with a smile and it continued throughout out 3 hour stay! Wok charred Brussels sprouts were amazing! Great add to the menu! Lobster rolls are always great! I don't know if every P.F. Chang's is the same, but since they are a franchise, I would assume so. After having visited China and actually eaten real Chinese food, this is like eating at McDonald's instead of a fine steakhouse. I was very curious about this place when I first heard about it awhile back, thus I had to try it; and what I found out was that it was pretty bland to me, compared to all the other local Chinese restaurants I've been to before. This establishment itself is very nice and the interior is very clean and decorated wonderfully. That being said, I believe you have to judge a restaurant based on it's food and it's food only. Thus the 3 stars. The food was pretty okay for me and did not stand out with flavor or any uniqueness. It almost reminded me of a mass produced version of other restaurants such as TGIFridays or Chilis where everything doesn't seem homemade and mass produced, but it's good and doable. Here, the food was good but did not stand at all in comparison to other places I've been to in town (check my reviews later for where I like). The Kung Pao Beef was decently cooked but had too much seasoning that covered up all the other flavors in the dish -- as in I couldn't taste the chicken or the vegetables at all since the food was over powered by the sauce. It was also way too salty for my taste as well. The other dish my friend got, the Beef and Broccoli, was a little better. The broccoli was fresh but the beef was kinda of soggy and not very rich in texture. The rice I ate was also kinda dry and not reminiscing of a traditional Chinese dish at all. The service was very good however and very patient and helpful with me and my friend. She checked on us regularly but not too much. Overall, this place is decent when it comes to the food but I've had better. This is pretty much the most Americanized Chinese places I've experienced, other than Panda Express of course. I would only come here if I had a very big group that out-voted me to where I would want to go. In the Woodfield Mall, so parking is freaking AWFUL! If you have a reservation or are meeting someone here, plan extra time for searching for a parking space, otherwise you're parking in Russia to get to this China Bistro.... HOWEVER, that doesn't change my opinion of the food of this restaurant. I absolutely love the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Changs Spicy Chicken, Mongolian beef, and fried banana dessert. Decided to go another route yesterday that saved us some money and scored us some extra food. The Prefixed Menu. Definitely the way to go if you're hungry. We had a choice of soup, I chose the egg-drop soup, all of the above and dessert which we would have to pay extra for - $52 for two with nonalcoholic refillable drinks, white/brown rice, dessert upgrade and tax. Great! And so yummy! Food is not greasy, it seems fresh and has a nice gluten-free as well as vegan selection. One star off for the loud atmosphere, NOT baby friendly unless your kid could sleep through a nuclear war. And the mixed-drink menu is lacking if you're looking for variety. My husband and I stopped in for lunch today and have to say we were terribly disappointed. My husband had the KungPo Chicken and I had the Honey Shrimp. When our lunch arrived we were somewhat shocked to see that the KungPo Chicken was simply that. Chicken, peanuts and a tad bit of sauce. There were no vegetables. In fact, the amount of sauce given wasn't even enough to coat his rice. Considering the chicken was dry, it was indeed a challenge to eat. The Honey Shrimp was served over rice noodles, which I liked, however both dishes were very bland. We eat Chinese food on a weekly basis and know how flavorful these dishes should have been. Big time disappointment. This was our first visit to PF Chang's and Our last. If you like flavorful food, don't waste your time or money. Go to a regular "Ma and Pa" Chinese restaurant and get the GOOD STUFF! read more

It was not bad, but with all that I'd heard of it, I expected more from this restaurant. Walking in, the ambience gave a neat feeling and our server was polite and honest and on the way out, the fortune cookie left a good taste on our buds, but the meal was just average, nothing special. This doesn't mean I gagged over the sweet n sour chicken, lettuce wraps, or shrimp fried rice that my group shared, but usually only the first bite was tasty-the food got cold very quickly. On the bright side, we had a reservation, and even though we arrived earlier than we'd called in for, our table was already set up and the staff was very accommodating. Hubby and I came here for the first time, along with another couple, out of convenience on Saturday. We had tickets for The Improv which is just next door. We all thought the food was very bland, covered up with very salty sauces. We had both the Hot & Sour and Egg Drop soups, along with the Lettuce Wrap and Spring Rolls. The Changs Spicy Chicken was very boring - no veggies or anything and was NOT spicy at all and the sauce was not very appealing. The Sesame Chicken at least had some veggies but again just blah and very salty. My friend got the salmon which was just ok. Her boyfriend ordered the Mongolian Beef which he had to send back because it was way over cooked and had the texture of beef jerky. The only thing we did like was the Tiramisu dessert. We gave this place a try out of convenience and sadly won't be coming here again. For the quality of food they serve, they are way overpriced. I'm quite sure that I've had similar at a mall food court when I was a teenager, but at least back then I didn't know any better. I also want to add that I'm half Asian and love ALL kinds of foods, including Thai, Korean, Chinese, Italian, etc. just to name a few. Maybe the people who like the food here have never ventured out for anything else? I have to say that Yu's Mandarin, which is located just down the street, absolutely BLOWS this place away in all aspects! They remain my favorite. read more

It was our 1st time there had a gift certificate, my husband had the Fall Special-Chicken Miso which was excellant. I had the Fall Special-Vietnamese Noodles with Steak & Shrimp (don''t waste your time) I got 4 tiny shrimp and teeny tiney strips of flank steak (and not alot either) When I asked the waiter he said WELL IT IS A NOODLE BOWL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT. I asked him to take it back and put more meat on it (he was MAD) when he brought it back to me he said: WELL DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEAT NOW and walked away. Food was ok, our server was rude and just awful. The manager did come over and give us 2 $10 gift cards, which I thought was a nice gesture..................we may go back but will not have that same server again................overall once I got my food correct everything was quite good! read more

My experience at this Pf Changs was very frustrating. After being issued a temporary federal ID in WV the manager refused to accept it as an official form of identification. As a location of the U.S. that is frequently traveled, one would assume all members of a large organization, such as PF Changs, would be educated regarding the forms of identification issued to citizens. So, I'll start with the good. We walked in at 7pm on a Saturday night and were seated right away, albeit we were only a party of two. To begin the meal the service was swift. The drinks came out right away and the appetizer was there relatively quickly as well. There's nothing else anyone else hasn't said about the lettuce wraps -- they're great. About ten minutes later, our Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein came out. Everyone talks about how large the portions are -- ours weren't that. I figured an appetizer and two entrees would be sufficient to feed two people, but I honestly could have eaten more. After finishing up, we waited maybe twenty minutes before we saw our waiter again. At that point, I didn't want to see the dessert menu, I wanted to take off -- so that's what we did. My biggest beef with this place is we were packed in like sardines. I would have been fine waiting 20-30 minutes to have a booth or sit somewhere where I could hear my girlfriend talk from across the table. We were in a two-seat table next to a six-seat table, next to another two-seat table, in front of a booth, and behind an aisle where waiters walked by literally every few seconds. The greeter who seated us took us on a circuitous route where she shimmied behind a waiter and a patron's table leading us to our seats. We didn't follow, we found a better route. Unbelievable. Then, I'm going to the bathroom and I almost get a fully-loaded tray dumped on me (and another table of people). The guy catches it and is like, "don't worry, close call but we're all good." It was chaos. The place itself looks nice, but the environment in action was overwhelming. Again, this was at rush hour on Saturday night -- your experience may vary, but I was underwhelmed with the food and overwhelmed by the atmosphere. read more

I will start by saying I am not one Chinese food. I have never been fan. After dinning over the weekend on Saturday night "date night". Changed my view on it. Our server Bart was fantastic never an empty glass all night. Our appetizer was amazing. We got the street tacos they had so much flavor and just enough spices. Our dinner came I got the pepper steak (remember not a big Chinese food fan). This was fantastic seasoned to perfection. Veggies cooked perfectly. Bart being the great waiter he is. Stopped by after a few moments. He was asking if my steak had too much pepper. If we needed anything else while still keeping our glasses full. (I usually never get this while out why I keep saying this). It is the little things that really mean a lot in the end. read more

I know it's a chain, and I prefer smaller, intimate spots for quiet meals, but I love this place! Its one of the only larger chain restaurants I have found that is mutli-regional and has a great gluten-free menu. For those of you with food sensitivities and know how difficult that can be, I was pleasantly surprised that they have a small, but deliciously diverse menu of GF goodies. The desserts are yummy and even the mini-tiramisu was rated as being a "not-so-bad-for-you" treat! Friendly staff, reasonably priced and clean bathrooms. (A pet peeve!!) My only complaint is that it can be a bit loud depending on the time of day you go. It has become a favorite spot for my after rehearsal choir friends and we don't want to sit in a place that gets too noisy and talk loudly across the table, but aside from that, I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant, especially at off-peak hours. read more
