Trying to find good plant based food can sometimes be a challenge. We lucked up on a very nice place in P.S. Kitchen. Very nice modern decor and friendly service sets you up for a nice meal. Using their QR code to get the menu on your phone instead of menus seems the way to go since covid came to town. My daughter decided on the Chili cheese fries, which we didn't realize were enough for a whole meal unto itself (9/10). Maitake wings(10/10) delicious, and a sweet thai chicken sandwich (9/10). I chose the Smokey Bbq burger (10/10), Truffle fries 10/10, and a sprite soda. Being the greedy people that we are, we decided on a fudge brownie w/Coconut ice cream (10/10) for dessert, really good! So I have to admit that I accidentally walked into PS Kitchen, got a table, and was seated before I realized that it wasn't Pongsri. I texted my friend in a panic, before realizing that I had somehow walked into a plant-based restaurant, which was perfectly fine because my friend's a vegetarian. It ended up being more than fine and I think she's found a new go-to spot for pre-show dinners. Anyways, staff were extremely nice and friendly. They seated me without my full party, which I appreciated. It was fairly early - around 5:30pm, but it did fill up later on. I had the PS burger, which is a plant-based burger patty with cheese. I also got a side of sweet potato fries, which were excellent. The burger was good and as a meat-eater, I was perfectly satisfied. My friend had the chicken pot pie, which smelled amazing. She said it was really good. We both also appreciated that they had a zero-proof menu for mocktails. They were fairly priced and we both enjoyed our mocktails. The menu ranges ftom appetizer to soups and salads, burgers and even a chicken pot pie. 6 years in between visits to P.S. Kitchen and seriously have to wonder why?Scored tickets to the Opening Night of "Swept Away" and decided to get an early dinner. No reservations but saddled right up to the bar and let Luna our wonderful bar tender and server take care of us. Honestly forgot how good this all vegan menu is. Couple of glasses of Merlot to study the menu and dive into the Maitake (cauliflower) wings. OMG, best ever. Moved on to the soup starters, Winter Walnut and Columbian Potato Soup. The former had notes of fennel and a walnut crunch that was great. Was not expecting the Potato Soup to be a thinner broth, but loved the presentation as it was poured directly onto young beet leaves in the bowl while we sat at the bar! Pretty cool. Just about full when entrees arrived so most of the delicious caesar w/chickun and golden beet salads made it back to the hotel for an after show banquet! My kids were mostly fooled, but the chicken patty cut in strips that we told the littlest was 'chicken fingers' did not pass muster. My wife and I switched to a plant-based diet about two weeks ago and wanted to check out a vegan/vegetarian exclusive dining experience while we were in NYC yesterday to see a Broadway show. We found P.S. Kitchen online, reviewed their menu, and decided to give it a try. As someone who absolutely enjoys a good steak, I questioned whether or not a restaurant could adequately satisfy my hunger with non-meat based options. P.S. absolutely hit it out of the park. For an appetizer, we had the Crabby Cakes, which were O U T S T A N D I N G! Highly recommend. That genuine flavor can be realized without the core "meat" product being included in the recipe is amazing. For dinner, I had the Linguine Alfredo and my wife had the Beyond Burrito. Both of these dishes were absolutely incredible. Again, you wouldn't even know you weren't eating meat. Service-wise, our water glasses were never empty, we were checked on regularly throughout our dining experience, oh, the bathrooms were also spotless (just a side note). Clearly this group knows how to take care of the customer. P.S. Kitchen is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the city. I've been here for both brunch and dinner, and both times I was blown away by the service and food. The restaurant is also in a convenient location if you're going to see a show or are just visiting NYC and want to see Times Square. One of my favorite things to order here is the truffle fries. I've also had the Caesar wrap (fantastic!), the lasagna (a great consistency and taste), and the Linguini alfredo (surprisingly creamy for a vegan dish, and the chicken on top tastes like the real thing!). After hearing positive things about PS Kitchen, I came here with a friend who was trying vegan food for the first time. To be honest, the food was good, but not mind blowing like some vegan food I've had in the city at similar price points. I ordered the lasagna, and my friend ordered the orzo with vegan chicken. We also got brussel sprouts to share, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The lasagna was pretty good, though just a tad bit salty. There was an imitation meat type filling, plus tofu ricotta. I think my favorite parts about it was that it didn't have a lot of processed vegan cheese, and it had a good balance of sauce to noodle+filling. I cleared the plate, but was drinking quite a bit of water (which the waiter so graciously refilled every two seconds). My friend cleaned off her orzo, and said the vegan chicken was pretty good. I had a taste of the orzo and it was very creamy, though a bit too one-noted for my taste. Definitely adding the chicken helped add more textural and flavor diversity, because otherwise I think you'd get tired of it pretty quick. The brussel sprouts were honestly kind of lackluster. They were flavored well-- a sweet balsamic-- but given the amount of oil they were cooked with, they still had a tough texture. I've had brussel sprouts that, perhaps because they were steamed before frying or double fried, were super crispy on the outside and almost melt in your mouth soft on the inside. That's my preference for brussel sprouts, and I did not get that here. The strawberry shortcake was absolutely delicious, no complaints there. The whipped cream paired with fresh strawberries and strawberry syrup was amazing, and what brought it over the top was the candied sliced almond garnish. We were fighting over them like we hadn't already had a full meal before lol. All in all, I probably won't return, and I wouldn't recommend this over other options in NYC. That being said, if I was in the area and had no other options, I wouldn't be against eating here. read more

They both tasted as though I'd just eaten the non vegan originals. My cousin ordered the Beyond burger and fries and, though not a vegan herself, thoroughly enjoyed them. Service was good and food was excellent, especially for plant based food. They were having some problems in the kitchen at the time but the waitstaff told us right from the beginning that some menu items would not be available, which we appreciated . In addition to good food and service , they donate their profits to local and international charities, which can make you feel good secondarily . Because she eats kosher food and is mainly vegetarian, I did a search for "vegetarian kosher" in the theatre district and PS Kitchen came up. My friend had lasagna, I had the "steak," and we shared a large, delicious appetizer of grilled Brussel sprouts. The food is 100% plant based and is delicious even if you are not vegetarian (I'm not) or don't keep kosher (I don't). Like many NYC restaurants the seating is a bit crowded and the lighting is a little too dim but other than those small things this a great place to eat. Wow! This is a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Times Square. They donate their proceeds to charities, and they have built a school in Africa. I love supporting places like this. The inside of the restaurant was cute and simple; I would have liked a bit more attention to detail in the decor, but I don't have high expectations for a nonprofit. I was there with a large group, so the manager came out and gave us a long story about the founders and the restaurant and all of the good work that they do. Very cool stuff. The food! I'm surprised they don't really market themselves as a vegan restaurant, but everything they make is vegan (love!). I ordered the tomato bisque, the lasagna, and the brownie. All three were so delicious - I highly recommend! Especially the bisque and the brownie!!! I would not have known they were vegan if the menu didn't say so. My college bestie and I had a Galentine's Day weekend in Hell's Kitchen recently. We're both foodies. She's vegan. I'm not (carnivore over here), but I don't mind eating vegan. I'm more of a hash brown, french toast, chicken and waffles girl. We both chose the pre-fixe menu (unlimited coffee/tea, a small plate, and a large plate) which is $32. That's not too bad. Typically for brunch I'd definitely indulge in booze but I stuck to coffee this time. I had to ask for more coffee (they didn't just bring more). I was impressed with the space (very bright, eclectic colors, modern and cool decor). I appreciated the fresh roses as the centerpieces. From some pics I browsed I didn't realize it was two levels. We were seated upstairs. So back to the food (the main reason for reading a review of a restaurant). I did the avocado toast - I liked it. The P.S. Burger - was ok - was lacking a bit in flavor for my taste buds. I was tempted to ask for hot sauce but I didn't want that side eye. It came with fries. I wanted to do the truffle fries but they were out. If you're not starving, getting a small plate could work but if you're hungry and doing the mimosas (or any alcohol), then absolutely get the pre-fix option. I'm not sure if they offer dessert for brunch. Either way we were too full. The service was good. No real complaints. PS Kitchen serves up delicious vegan food int the heart of Times Square (aka the one place in the city where it's near impossible to find a purely vegan spot). We love the ambiance and vibes inside the restaurant: very trendy and classy. The menu features a wide variety of choices: burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and delicious appetizers. Not to mention, a full bar menu: the Winter Renaissance is by far my favorite drink, it is so refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness! It's hard to decide what to order because everything here looks so good (and it is!). The Maitake Wings are a must order as a starter: although they are just essentially friend mushrooms, the texture and flavor is incredible and really does taste like chicken (according to my dad who is not vegetarian)! For entrees, I am obsessed with the Black and Bleu Burger (the vegan blue cheese is spot on and the pickle relish is a wonderful compliment) and the Chicken Pot Pie (my non-veg dad said it was one of the best he's had-and he's VERY picky!). They make a good Brussels Sprouts (my go-to vegetable) and their Chili Fries are okay, but I'd pass on them next time. They also have plenty of dessert options: we had the Brownie Sundae and the Peach Cobbler. Both were decent, but I think the fact that I don't really care for vegan ice cream is what made the desserts miss that 5 star mark for me-but minor thing! Of course since you are in Times Square you are paying TSQ prices. I personally think $20 for cheese fries or for a burger if that does not include a side is a bit much, and what can you do about that.
