The smell of Italian goodness hits you as soon as you enter this small shop on Broadway at 175th Street. Welcoming Angelo, Indira and Belki (I must be writing this incorrectly) run the show and what a show! You may be able to find this stuff at Eataly, but it's a trip from up here and it would come with a cost. They have high quality affettati & formaggi, plus a wide selection of sauces, pasta, beverages and other products coming straight from Italy. They also make yummy sandwiches. It's a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Go and have a blast!

Great new addition to the neighborhood. I've been twice so far, and the meats and cheeses are incredible. They now have a sandwich menu, and the sandwich I had, the #7, was heavenly. The porchetta, mortadella and prosciutto all were perfect. The owner even gave me a taste of each as I was waiting. Very nice man who takes pride in what he offers. They have a small selection of Italian goods for sale. No place to eat, so if you're not headed home to chow, walk one block over to Fort Washington Ave. and eat at J. Hood Wright Park.

Many Italian goods including cheese! Small sandwich menu. I thought the sandwich was just ok. Fairly small in size.

Mortadella, cheese and Balsamic reduction on sesame seed bread. Perfection.

Businesses throw around phrases like "When you're here, you're family." Hear me when I say, this is the real thing. I had the unique pleasure of shopping at Pace's today and my, what a delicious experience. The sign on their window advertises Italian Sandwiches but a step inside reveals no menu. Instead, simply ask the warm face across the counter for a sandwich and they will begin to guide you to heaven. You are offered a taste of each ingredient before it is sliced fresh for your sandwich: the meats, the cheeses, even the balsamic reduction. This takes time. I beg you, take the time. The city is rushed and fast, step into Pace's for the chance to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasure of food. The sandwich was sublime with its four perfect ingredients and the service unmatched. While you wait for your sandwich, be sure to turn to the large selection of pantry items. From oils and vinegars, to cookies and pasta there is certainly something to amuse and intrigue. I took home a bottle of Passata and a bag of uniquely shaped pasta called Anelletti. If you only read the first and last lines of a review, read this: GO TO PACE'S ITALIAN MARKET! You wont regret it.

Excellent sandwich (got the #7) - bread, cheese, meat all hit. The woman who was working there was also an extremely nice person.

We were in the area doing our own mini pizza tour, and I had to ensure that our route took us by Murray's. I was hoping to get to try some of their in-house made charcuterie or mac & cheese bar, but our indulgence in nearby pizza places unfortunately left us too full to take on anymore. The shop itself is very well laid out with more options than you could ever imagine. The shop stretches back down a few steps and around the corner where they have much more than cheese. They have excellent options to put together at your whole charcuterie of any size here. They even have some premade options in their cold case if you're looking just for a quick snack for one or two people in a nearby park. I did pick up two options when I was in the store and I will say that both were exactly what I had come to expect for Murray's- delicious. Luckily, or unluckily, I'm not in the area otherwise I think a high amount of my money would be going to the shop.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with nothing but warm hospitality. Our server was incredibly friendly and even asked if we had a show to get to so he could expedite our food. So considerate! The prix fixe was really good value - starter, main, desert AND a bottle of wine for $99! The salad was really tasty, I liked the warm walnuts and the figs added a nice contrast of texture and sweetness. Of the other items in the tasting board, I really enjoyed the Kashkaval cheese. We didn't opt for any add ons/fondue dippers with our fondue, so only had bread. While we did feel full at the end, next time I'd go for an add on for more variety. Highly recommend and can't emphasize the warm hospitality and great service enough.

There was a welcoming ambiance to the place. We shared the Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry, and I wish I had gotten one of them with fruit salad and labne. The Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry was delicious, layered with delicate mixture of rose and cardamom flavor, and sprinkled with plenty of crushed pistachio. It was sweet, lightly flaky, and slightly crunchy. For my entree, I chose the Truffle Fondue with various types of sausage. The Truffle Fondue was served on top a small flame to keep it warm. It was satisfyingly melty, full of true truffle taste, and quite yummy. It came with pieces of white sourdough bread, which were nicely chewy. The sausage also came with purple grapes, as well as a piece of carrot. Sausage was succulent, juicy, and well seasoned. It was a perfect dipper for the fondue. I would have also liked to have potatoes with it, but each additional ingredient were priced a la carte, so would have to pay more. I wasn't really a fan of that set up and think that each fondue should have included more than just bread. Service was solid. Our waiter was personable and helpful. We were well taken care of throughout. Prices were reasonable, though fondue can get a little up there, depending on what you order with it. I would be open to returning to try the Cheeseburger.

I don't think they actually milk the goats or wash the rinds, if that's what you're asking. Nor do they have a company retail shop as far as I know, at least not here. Nevertheless, I have had so much pleasure over the years their cheeses in my local shops and restaurants, now called Mitica (meaning "myth") here in the US, that I want to give them a shout-out here. What prompted this was a small sliver of Campo de Montalban I picked up from the "odds and ends" bin at Whole Foods, that happened to be perfectly paired with a bourbon-barrel aged heirloom cider I also bought there, it was a lot like the Spanish cheese Mancheco but more rounded for me with a little funkiness in addition to the nutty taste. Anyway, it was one of those peak cheese moments. Several other Mitica cheeses are on my go-to list, so all I can say is Thank You!!! FWIW they have started to import other mediterranean products like olive oil, chocolate, and so on, but are mostly known for cheese.
