Honestly, the worst Thai food I have eaten in Portland in ages. Pad Thai tasted "burnt" and incredibly greasy. Red chicken curry was thick, tasted like flour paste, and I had ordered it as I find it typically does not aggravate my gluten intolerance. We had the musmun curry, but it wasn't good. The sauce tasted like it was from a can. The wait staff was friendly and fast.

This restaurant has no ambience at all for the price of the food. Looks dirty and dinky for restaurant price, this is like you are eating inside the H Mart grocery store. No quality food. This is one of the better Thai/Vietnamese restaurants we had been to in the area. Service is usually good too, but can be slow at times. Also, the last time we were there (in January), the heat seemed to be off so it was very cold inside. But over all, the food makes go back over and over again. read more

Hi Guys, Ok right off the bat ordered the pad thai with only vegtables and it was tad too salty. Usually I cannot stop eating pad thai but it stopped me bc of the salt. The service was good and prompt with nice pacific/thai music. Be prepared if you eat inside everything to have a sticky feel. It didn't seem that clean but tolerable. The portion seemed to be smaller than most other places so you'd think with all that the price would be lower. But low and behold it was the most ever (underlined) paid for pad thai 12.00! I've ate at a lot of different places and this was way over priced. So unless you got some extra cash to burn you can get more bang for your buck at Curry in a Hurry. read more

I give them 5/5 because of the pho. I'm Viet and I've eaten a lot of pho, and I can confidently say that Pacific Breeze has the BEST pho in town!! It's always consistent, not oily, and oh my gosh the portion is just insane. I can barely finish their large. Also, the veggies always come out fresh, and take out orders are always right! I am confused by all the stellar reviews. I came here specifically after reading them but my experience was honestly terrible. First off, the restaurant itself is dingy and not overly inviting. I could easily overlook that if the food was great. It was not. I ordered Vietnamese salad rolls as an appetizer, and Pad kee mow for dinner. This is something I have ordered often at other Thai restaurants. Rolls were ok..but very bland. My main dish tasted like it was sautéed on a grill that had not been cleaned for a long time..very little flavor. I don't know if this was a fluke or what, but I am mad at myself for not speaking up and for paying for bad food. $20 gone and very disappointed. Not going back. read more

I love Thai food. And I love Pacific Breeze. I've been to Thailand and had the best in the world which is the only reason Pacific Breeze is getting four stars. They are consistent and delicious. Their red curry is awesome. The salad rolls are awesome. Their stir fries are great. The pho is delightful. I haven't had anything from their menu I didn't like. I have been ordering takeout from here for years and will continue for years to come. It's the best Thai food on this side of town hands down. read more

I love Pacific Breeze. In addition to the staff being super friendly the cooking is great to. And if you ask, and are clear, they are very capable of making 'Thai' spicy food. The Vietnamese salad rolls are a great appetizer and I love their spicy Pad Thai. read more

Chose this restaurant due to Yelp's 4 star rating, my husband and I were very disappointed. We visit Portland monthly and look forward to the authentic Thai food here more than anything. I love Red Curry w/chicken and he loves Beef Pho. Both dishes were less than adequate. The curry had a salty taste and was bland after I asked that it be spicy. The pho broth tasted closer to a same day beef broth than the broths that are cooked from the bone in the authentic style. The portions were large, but didn't matter due to the taste. I'll say this is the first time I've ever not taken the remaining chicken curry home. I definitely had buyers regret for not having chosen another of the many thai restaurants in the area after paying the $35 dollar bill at the end of a mostly unconsumed meal. read more

It's very awful food. My children love Thai food and we found out the one my friend recommended and we are so happy, but when we went there the service is very terrible and they discriminated us because we were Asian. They make you wait for very long time and pretend they can't see you. The food so salty. We love Thai food very much but we haven't see the restaurant like this before. When we sat down they gave us a horrible service and didn't care for us. They care about the tip more than giving you good service. It made me feel very disappointed. I came here to find some pho close to home. Pretty full dining room at lunch-time. Clean place with good service. I had the pho tai. They served some chicken soup as a (free) starter, and it was very good - a nice selection of ingredients in a not-too-thick base. The pho, however, was disappointing: The meat was a little chewy and the soup base was bland. Not a lot of meat in there either. The noodles were kind of clumped together on the bottom, much worse than I've seen elsewhere. They served a plate of the traditional veggies which helped add some flavor and texture. I'll probably stick with Mai Asia for pho, even though it's a few minutes further away. read more

So, Oregon has many many Thai restaurants. This spot was recommended by my bf and friends who paid a visit here a few years ago. I love Thai food so I had to give it a try. We went midday on a weekday so there was no one there. It was a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant (which I found rather odd). But we started with a sampler platter. It was enough to feed the 5 of us. It came with fried tofu, spring rolls, eggrolls, and fried won tons. I have never seen an appetizer platter at an Asian restaurant before (not including Asian Fusion restaurants) so I was rather pleased with the amount of food that came out. Everything on the platter was tasty. We then ordered beef pad thai, tom kha, panang curry, and combination house fried rice. We all shared and man was it delicious. There are a few Thai places that I have tried that have always been "alright". I have my favorites and this would probably now be one of my favorites. Everything was flavorful, portions were big, and the prices were decent. Yummy! read more
