Pacific Catch is a great chain of seafood restaurants. We love this one. We have been more than once for pick up and dine in. We love dine in. The place is a really nice size and it is super pretty. It is kept brand new looking and the seating is very comfortable. You will love the service. They have a great menu and the staff knows everything about it. Your food comes out as ordered and perfect every time. It has a full bar with a nice wine list and great craft beers. Everything there is good, but my favorite is their clam chowder and their pupu platter. Both are on the starter menu. The pupu platter has great deep fried coconut shrimp, chips, stick ribs, guacamole and great salmon sushi tacos. We always order the lobster surf and turf. The skirt steak that comes with it is so tender and cooked the way you want it. The lobster is a decent size, about 6 ounces. It comes with the best mashed potatoes and grilled Hawaiian bread, which you just can't get enough of. The vegetable is a really good broccolini, which has a nice chili-miso flavor. She was very aware of food, allergies and sensitivities and had great recommendations as well as a cheerful and pleasant demeanor. For starters you have to start with their POKE & CEVICHE which is Original Ahi Poke yellowfin ahi tuna, sesame-soy marinade, sweet onion, red pepper flakes and wonton chips. They also have another delicious option which is Serrano Ahi Poke which is yellowfin ahi tuna, sweet onion, sriracha aioli, serrano chile and wonton chips. Their Classic Yellowtail Ceviche which is kanpachi, citrus marinade, avocado, red onion, cucumber, Fresno chile, cilantro and tortilla chips. The inside seating looked cafeteria-like but we elected to sit outside where there was more ambiance with an electric fireplace and low lighting. This spot totally blew me away for their irresistibly tasty food, beautiful interior, and their welcoming atmosphere We ordered their West Coast Lobster Roll, Pacific Chowder, Korean BBQ plate, Clam Udon, Fresh Catch Sea Bass, and their Ala Carte Crispy Fish Taco. I really love how soft and creamy the Lobster Roll here, and the Chowder was really flavorful! We were pleasantly surprised at how tasty and well-balanced their Korean BBQ plate was. One word for this dish: EXQUISITE ! The Miso Black Cod is one of the most delicious entrees I have ever tasted. This was my first time trying and I was so pleased. Pacific Catch prepared each element of the dish perfectly - the Cod was perfection. The rice was so flavorful, not an afterthought as in most restaurants. The asparagus was crisp, not soggy or limp. wowww amazing service and food!! first off, LEANNE, YOU ARE THE BEST!! she was so helpful in walking us through the menu and checking in on us to make sure we're okay. her service definitely was the cherry on top. we ordered a few things off their savor the summer menu: the lobster hand roll, scallop hand roll, white tiger ceviche, and summer sea bass. off their normal menu, we ordered the original ahi poke, hawaiian pork belly sliders, and black cod miso. the ceviche and black cod miso were my favorites, super flavorful and everything went so well together. everything is fairly priced and they had a lot of drink options. i got the sangria off the savor the summer menu and it was pretty light and fruity. parking: there are many lots nearby where it's 90 minutes of free parking will for sure be coming back since i want to try off the menu! and hopefully leanne is able to host us again! read more

Wow! Dropped in here for happy hour when I was working in the area and was so impressed! Top five best happy hour restaurants ever! Each dish pictured was $8 or less and I still can't get over the portion size. Everything is so well done and the seasoning and mix of flavors unique. The sushi was excellent as well. We were looking for different seafood restaurant since we like Water Grill & Blue Plate in Santa Monica and tried Pacific this weekend. Nice help, very large clean restaurant (almost to basic clean inside like a new Dennys), but it just did not impress us. It was not bad, but I think you choose the wrong location for this level of food based on local seafood restaurant around Santa Monica. Santa Monica is tough right now for all businesses which makes things extra tough. Ordered a couple items and the food is a better than a Red Lobster, but not close to the 4 other seafood places around you. Since the price points are a touch lower than the local competition, maybe this is the customer type you're looking for. Could be the retired 5 PM dinner people is your crowd. Place was empty at lunch this weekend vs other seafood places we walked bye. We ordered a mixed plate of appetizers and some steak tacos. Never ate the tacos since they were loaded with aioli. **I asked the waiter if the pork slider had mayo on the bread since I hate it and he said no when we first ordered. When I ordered the steak tacos, he never mentioned aioli was all over them so I did not try them. Wife said they were ok. What I ate was ok. It was served nice. The only thing we thought were terrible were the LIMP fries. Order some fries across the street from a popular restaurant and you'll get some nice crispy fries. You should change your recipe since they were not very good. I do not like writing 3 star reviews for newer restaurants, but Santa Monica seems to have changed a lot in a negative which makes things tough for all restaurants and all businesses. read more

My fiancé and I were in Santa Monica and wanted something refreshing to eat so we chose this place based on the pictures. Did not disappoint! My fiancé and I both got the Salmon bowls which were really good and had a lot of quinoa mixed with rice and some nice oils to compliment the dish. Drinks were really good and I feel as though the Blood Orange Margarita was slightly better than the one my fiancé had but both still were delicious. We also had ordered a shrimp tempura roll which was also really good. Our server was attentive and always asked us if we were doing okay which we appreciated. Since it's a corner spot, we decided to sit on the patio to people watch and get some of that fresh ocean breeze. I placed a pick up order today and planned to eat at one of the tables but as soon as I sat down I was told I couldn't eat there. I was told all pick up orders have to take it somewhere else to eat. I placed a pick up order to avoid waiting on the food as I am on short lunch breaks. Keep in mind the restaurant was empty with only 3 other customers there. Very disappointed, won't be back as I always place pick up orders during my lunch. I recommend Tocaya down the street, much better fish tacos at better prices and they won't tell you to leave. We loved Pacific Catch! Their menu had so many delicious-sounding dishes that it was hard to choose. I ended up having the teriyaki chicken bowl, so not exactly seafood, but it was soooo good. Lots of tender grilled chicken, pineapple, edamame, carrots, sticky rice and sweet teriyaki sauce. I was there with several colleagues, and one of them ordered this same dish two days in a row! Hubs had grilled swordfish and vegetables. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The restaurant was not busy at all, which surprised me on a Thursday night. The worst meal we had at Pacific Catch this evening We were there about a month ago and very much enjoyed our meal ....this time, however , I don't know what happened but everything and I mean everything was quite dreadful for all 3 of us! 1. The alcohol beverage was Clearly watered down! 2. The pupu platter was served Without their 'sticky ribs' They 'ran out ' : it was only 6:30 !!' 3. EVERYTHING was served cool: the french fries, the baked beans, even the taco platter..all served cool.. When I asked for the beans to be returned to warm uo They retuned it with same cool temperature! 4. The chowder soup with the clams were so salty and the broth was horrid.. had to be returned . 5. The salmon bowl tasteless and also not warm! I spoke to Andrew, their manager...He took the soup and the pupu platter cost off the tab..... regardless .. in view of tonight's poor experience we clearly won't be returning ! read more

Had the very best dinner at Pacific Catch in Santa Monica. We were a party of three, and seated by the most gracious man at the front desk. We were impressed by the menu, and the overalll appearance of the restaurant, but our experience turbocharged when we met Noel. He sat down at our spare seat, and walked us through the menu and all of our options. HE WAS REALLY TERRIFIC! Food arrived as ordered, we all had the barramundi. it was served nice and warm. the sides were delicious! What more can you say about a great dining experience?? We will be back! read more

1. Took ten minutes to be acknowledged & offered water. We flagged down a bus boy asking for water as we waited for our waiter. Finally a waiter arrived. 2. The food - ordered a salmon sandwich. There was a small sliver of salmon in each half, a small sliver of avocado & a piece of lettuce, the sparsest sandwich with no taste nor substance. The string bean portion was beyond small, perhaps ten total limp string beans coated in a slimy brown sauce which tasted like peanut butter. Although we asked, when ordering, if the french fries were freshly made opposed to frozen, we were told they were freshly made. However, they arrived as pale cold tasteless nearly raw frozen commercial fries - inedible. We asked for bread. Three one inch crusts resembling stale bread arrived with a pat of butter. We laughed as we thought this ridiculous portion was a joke. The charge for this stale bread was $2.00, outrageous! We departed hungry, overpaid around $35, & went to Sweet Greens! Disappointing food. Poor service. Avoid this restaurant. read more
