Great customer service, good food, and a cool ambiance is the best way to describe the vibes at Pacific Catch. My first time here, after finding them on Yelp! My host was Jose, and he was great. We started with appetizers, the Grilled Salmon Chowder and Sticky Ribs. The Salmon Chowder had great flavors, although it needed some seasoning, and the base was good. The Sticky Ribs were also very good. I also ordered the California rolls, which were made with REAL crab. The rolls needed a little more flavor, but I appreciated the freshness. For the main entrée we had the Baja Shrimp and Baja Fish Tacos. It came with a Jalapeño tartar sauce which was extremely flavorful and delicious. I ordered the ceviche trio as an appetizer and the black miso cod for my entree. My husband ordered the two taco platter. the ceviche was fresh . My favorite was the ahi poke. I've been going to the Pacific Catch in San Francisco and in San Mateo for a long long time, I was very disappointed in the Walnut Creek location. I ordered what they called Blue Chip tacos and compared to the three tacos on the regular menu. It was dry, it was stale, and it lacked flavor. The fish tacos we had were delicious - 2 was filling enough for me and the flakey fish tasted clean and crisp. Food, atmosphere and service were excellent. There's a free parking garage right next to it. The seating is plenty of shaded outdoors and plenty of indoors with many booths. Large place too. The food was really good and the side order of beans wow tasted so delicious. We went for lunch and got the smaller dishes. Price not bad. When we walked in we were acknowledged and asked wait a minute. We did not wait long. We were brought to a table by the open kitchen area. Everything in here looked so nice. I love the open kitchens! This was the first time here and the food was delicious! The portions were great! I didn't have that yucky full feeling after we ate. I got the salmon with the pineapple salsa. ( I think that's what it's called, it's new) along with a salad and street corn. Everything tasted fresh! Good portions! My partner got the fish in chips that came with calamari. That was good too! The drink I got was the POG ( it has pineapple, orange juice and guava) I honestly wasn't a big fan of this drink. For some reason it tasted like mango to me. Food was pretty good. The brussel sprouts were very flavorful and the tofu was seasoned well. The portions were good sized which is nice since it's so expensive. But the service ruined the dinner. It was the most odd dining experience I've ever had. It's like the continuously forgot we existed. After sitting at the table for 20 minutes with wait staff just walking continuously passed us we finally had to waive a manager down to get someone to take our order. Our waitress was very sweet, but after we got our food, I think she forgot we existed. We had to eventually flag her down to get boxes and checks after clearly being done eating for a significant amount of time. Then once we got checks, she once again forgot about us and we had to flag her down again. From her reaction it's clear she legitimately had forgotten about us. They need to hire many more wait staff so there are not so many tables for one person to try and keep track of. read more

My only complaint is that they could have offered more salad dressing as the portion provided was meager (standard sauce cup size for a robust salad), but it did spread better than expected and was delicious. The fish portion for each taco was generous, typically fish tacos I eat are dinky lil pieces and overpowered by salsa and toppings to make it look like the taco was big but noooosirreeebob not these tacos. I thought the fry and black bean combo was an odd pairing but I enjoyed it. My wife got the new steelhead platter and she was very pleased with it as well. I would've got that plate if I hadn't seen another customers tacos as we were walking in. Service was awesome, thank you Alyssa for taking care of us! The fish tacos are also super yummy! My parents like to get the for 2 platter and select their options. Their cocktails are also delicious! My niece loves the salmon chowder and gets it every time! The ingredients were always fresh and there're always so many options for everyone regardless your diet. - Sushi Taco Trio One of Each: definitely not your regular tacos and we love it. You can taste how fresh the food is with every single bite. Generous portion for appetizers. - Ramen Red Curry Shrimp (Spicy): it's more blend and lighter than regular curry ramen. A great option when you want curry ramen but don't want it too heavy. We added crab and love how they actually put herbs in there. The herbs just hit the right spot for me. - Ramen Hawaiian Saimin Pork: don't forget to add the eggs when you order this. Again it's not too heavy, felt healthier and less guilty having 2 bowls of ramen. Chashu was cooked right and melt in your mouth. We talked to Sarah and Gabriel today and they were the most hospitable managers we've met. Food: - Taco Platter (crispy baja cod): comes with black beans, and choice of fries, side salad, or chips & salsa. Pacific Catch has location, ambiance, great food and nice service. It is located downtown Walnut Creek adjacent to the Broadway Plaza shopping center and sits next to Trampas creek. It is a beautiful location. The restaurant is attractively designed with both indoor and outdoor seating. Some outdoor tables are near the creek, and others are located in a covered but open area with fans and heaters. Those attributes are pleasant, but what brings me back again and again is the great food and service. I think the West Coast Salmon bowl is one of our favorite meals of all time. My wife always selects Pacific Catch when I ask her where she would like to go for lunch on any given day. It is a combination of salad components, brown rice with quinoa, grilled cauliflower and topped with a serving of grilled salmon. The flavors are delicious and varied with pleasing textures. Their happy hour is M-F 3pm-6pm and the menu is extensive! We ordered the following: 1. Poke & Ceviche Trio ($19, regular $25, 4/5) - Great sampler platter! Loved being able to choose the 3 poke/ceviches. It came with 2 varieties of chips and 3 varieties of veggies. The quality of the fish was average. 2. Pupu Platter ($21, regular $27, 3/5) - Also another good sampler platter. The coconut shrimp was pretty good, the spare ribs were really dry, and the guac-poke was a bit salty. It was still worth it to be able to try all of their most popular appetizers. 3. Lemongrass Mojito ($10, regular $14, 3/5) - Nothing special, subtle lemongrass flavor. 4.
