We got seated pretty quickly. We got the Korean BBQ with steak, and spicy green curry salmon. Food tasted great as usual. But the egg on the korean BBQ dish was not cooked properly, and we only saw this forward the end as my husband usually saves the egg to eat at the end I saw the uncooked egg white after he already took a few bites. We let the waiter know the egg was not cooked properly, and he didn't do much other than just a measly apology that did not seem sincere at all. Ribs were ok and curry coconut shrimp were unique but dry, guacamole was good. The lobster roll was moist and I loved the side salad! Best thing we ate tonight! The grilled lobster tail was too tough to eat. It cost $39 and they refunded us only half. I was most excited to try their mango sticky rice and the menu states lemon sorbet. It was served with vanilla ice cream and mango was not completely ripe so a bit bitter. The worst was the purple rice that was not cooked and still crunchy! It was not edible! So we decided to try the pumpkin pie and they served it to us COLD! Our server decided to disappear so we were disappointed with the service too. I had to walk up front to get rung out! Do not recommend! Very expensive! We even found a wet cleaning rag on our booth behind our head that was left out. The restaurant was slammed...haven't seen it that busy in a while. We sat at the bar and our bartender was so kind, welcoming, cool headed and efficient. We have had her before and was pleased she was working. All the staff seem willing to help each other and got along so well. The food was really fresh and tasty. A small poke bowl was huge - I couldn't eat 1/2 of it. My hubby had a salmon sandwich, with fries and their winner slaw. We are amazed at the wine selection in that a lot of new choices, yet the prices did not go up. You can get a nice glass of wine for $16 which is unheard of in Walnut Creek. I ordered the taco platter with 3 tacos (fish or beef) - I ordered the sea bass taco and 2 beef. The menu did not state there was a price difference but apon receiving the bill I was charged an additional charge for each spicy beef taco, which is extremely frustrating. My tacos were terrible, the sea bass was the fishiest fish I have ever tasted and it was completely inedible. The beans were okay but the salad was terrible with the miso dressing. So basically I just ate two little and barely filled beef tacos for $28. My friend ordered the Korean barbecue ribs and the sauce was so potently salty that they were inedible, she shared a bite with the others in my party and none of us could eat them because they were so salty. They then brought her replacement ribs with no sauce but put the same exact salty sauce on the side. Absolute waste of money here. The sauces that go with the seafood were also a nice add on. The miso side salad was very fresh. The Cole slaw was alright, pretty standard. The service here was good also.
