I'm very disappointed with Slavi's response to the damage that his team caused to my bathroom vanity countertop. See the picture of my original countertop and the dark black lines in the replacement backsplash. Slavi said "it's marble". Yes, but it's not the same marble countertop that I had, does not look like it. I provided Slavi my receipt of the vanity that I purchased last year, yet he purchased from another vendor. Now my newly remodeled bathroom looks like this! I had to rush back and forth to the house for him to fix, taking time from my busy work schedule. No apology for this damage from him. He also accidentally cut my copper AC pipe during the repiping process. He then replaced it with PVC line without letting me know. When I found out and asked about it, he was trying to brush it off saying it's better for me to have this new PVC pipe, and it doesn't matter if it's copper or PVC! I paid for copper repipe for my whole house for a reason. Anyways, after some back and forth arguments, he finally put back the AC copper pipe. The whole process is very stressful for me. As the owner/partner, you should not treat your customer like this! I paid you fully and now I got a hedious vanity because your team is careless and broke my countertop. read more

I feel grateful that I found OC Repipes to replace the 40-year-old failing copper piping in the house I just bought in Laguna Niguel. I just bought a cute little two bedroom two bath house in Laguna Niguel that was built in 1986 and unfortunately it had the original copper piping. I literally just closed escrow and haven't even moved in but knew I needed to have it repiped before disaster struck. From the moment I talked to Slavi on the phone and meeting him in personal, I realized he takes his work very seriously and doesn't cut corners and explained all the details to me about how the process is done and what makes them stand out better than the rest. Do not use this company since they're liars. This is the company that repiped my community and broke my connection to my water heater. It's old but it was working before the repiping but of course they are not responsible for any of it. I then asked for a quote on a new water heater. Charging homeowners for a 40 gallon water heater $4,000 vs other companies charging $1800-2200 is ridiculously overpriced. They will also report you to the city when they notice that your water heater isn't up to code to force you to act on it and increase the chances of using their company. Stay away from this company since they will tell you what you want to hear and feed you BS. read more

Was dealing with multiple leaks spread out over a course of four years since first purchasing my home and enough was enough. Was referred to OC Repipes by a neighbor who spoke highly about the work they did on their home and quickly reached out to Slavi. He was very thorough outlining where they would make the cuts in the drywall and what I needed to do to prep for his team. Price was very fair compared to other vendors I reached out to. We were 'íncentivized' by our home owners insurance to have our house repiped after filing a claim for a water leak last September. They would not renew our policy if we didn't have a ceramic coating installed or do a full repipe. We chose to repipe as it seemed to be more long lasting than doing a coating. After contacting a number of repiping companies we chose OC Repipes due to the amount of service they could provide at a reasonable cost. Andy was my initial contact and Slavi was the site manager. Both are great to work with. We did need to get an asbestos survey done prior to any work. With 52 year old drywall, they did find asbestos. We had that remediated by another company and then OC Repipes repiped the entire house in one day not counting closing up the walls. The walls were done the next day. This is one of those reviews where I wish zero was an option. These guys were subcontracted out to work on my HOA during a repipe project that started in July and finished up in early November. My unit was worked on from late August into early September 2019, but if you read on, you'll see I am still dealing with the ramifications. Personally I wouldn't let a single one of these people near my house again. My baseboards in everyone of my bathrooms was destroyed near the toilet. Some were chipped beyond repair, so now I have to save up money to buy new baseboards, and to pay for someone to come fix them because that skill is beyond my minuscule handyman abilities. The cuts behind the toilets were also large. The debris they left in every room of my house was absolutely unbelievable. To this day, I am finding debris in random places even though I have vacuumed countless times. My washer/dyer was put back crooked, and I had to wait several days for them to come out and fix it. I realize this may seem like a small complaint but I had just had surgery and couldn't lift anything. Also, if they are hired to do a job, why not do it right the first time? They also messed with my shower pressure, and they had to come back to fix my shower head that was working before the repipe process started. I had to hire a plumber to come and make the water pressure right and test all the lines. The cuts in the shower where they cut into the tile were also very obvious, so I'm hoping that this aesthetic doesn't damage my houses' value when I go to resell. They knocked a burner knob off my stove, which I actually wouldn't have known about except for JJ said something about "we broke it and had to buy a new one" in a passing remark as he was about to leave my house. They broke my dishwasher latch that was not broken before the repipe process started. Again, I couldn't use my dishwasher for about a week until they got the part and had someone out to fix it. Perhaps the worst thing they did was leave stucco and debris that still to this day, five months after the job, is stuck to my balcony. I will say that after all the screw ups, JJ came back and fixed some things that were messed up. He tried to get the stucco off my balcony and couldn't get most of it, but he did get some. He was at my house for a while trying to figure out the dishwasher, and I know he is not an appliance repair man. He also came back by order of the management company, Ross Construction (who should quit the construction game and immediately begin a career in snake oil salesmanship, they'd do a far better job) and fixed things that other contractors screwed up such as shoddy paint work and spills. I know JJ had to be the workhorse for Ross in other units, so, my anger with him as a the man in charge aside (I am unsure if he was the official foreman), I saw him work his fingers to the bone in many units in my area. I understand that this past summer was particularly brutal and they were working in units that may have not had AC or the power was turned off for part of the day and it was hot. I understand they were under a lot of pressure to finish a lot of units in a timely manner, but, if as a company you don't have the manpower, skill, or care to do a job of that size, defer to someone who can. read more

They started the repipe in 2020 during the pandemic and managed to work with our residents to make them feel comfortable with accessing the units and maintaining a safe and clean environment. We had a slab leak and detected it immediately. I guess that was the good news. I reached out to several plumbing contractors asking for a quote and timeline. I had three plumbers visit our home and assess the work involved to repipe the entire house with pex pipe. The first two came into the house spent less than 5 minutes assessing the scope of the project, then threw out a price. When Slavi from OC Repipes arrived at our house he was polite and professional. He took the time to ask questions and discuss various options. As we walked through the house, it was very apparent that he was concerned about minimizing the amount of damage to the drywall. He walked the entire house with me at least twice, asking about placement of existing, new lines, and options of access points in order to minimize the number of holes cut in the drywall. His team started and finished on schedule. I had numerous questions as his team progressed and Slavi was always ready to provide thorough explanations. After the job was complete I discovered a couple of minor issues which involved having move a couple of lines and a valve because of remodel work I was doing. The Village on Oak Repiping Project was large, complicated, and required people skills, organizational logistics and expertise. It involved 174 units which consisted of 6 different floor plans and work scheduled in 5 phases that began September 2019 and will end sometime in March 2020. That said, Andy Borisov and his OC Repiping teams (Repiping, Repair, Painting), each were accommodating and knowledgeable in a specific floor plan. As a result, OC Repipes were able to complete beyond satisfactory work. I even had the occasion to contact Andy 6 weeks after work completion and he responded immediately with the same considerate understanding. That's worth it's weight in gold. Very impressed, we hired them to repipe our home before an upcoming remodel project. We found owner Andy, and project manager Slavi to be personable, and very competent. After a slab leak, our home insurance recommended we considered a whole house repipe. I solicited bids from several companies, and was recommended OC Repipes based on a work colleague who didn't end up using them but had a positive impression during the job estimation process. OC Repipes' pricing was easily the most competitive, and during the walkthrough I felt like Slavi Yordanov (Co-Founder) was both professional and also not out to sell me on needless work or features. I ended up going with his crew for the work. It took a while to get scheduled, but once it was scheduled it was done fairly efficiently despite some 1-2 unforeseen challenges that weren't apparent until the walls were opened up. I was most impressed when Slavi came and personally took down a kitchen cabinet to get the best route possible for the alternate solution, which meant no visible holes in the kitchen in the end. After inspection his crew put the cabinet back reinstalled better than they found it. The city inspector was impressed that they fully insulated all the hot water lines from the heater throughout the whole system. Originally Slavi said the work was maybe going to take 1 day for work and 1 day for patch, but that it could be 2 for each. It did end up being 2... still better than most contractors I've seen who say 1 and it becomes 5.
