Worst Chinese food I ever had! My daughter found feathers coming out of her sweet & sour chicken piece - she wouldn't touch it, only ate the white rice. The ladies room was filthy & if that is any indication of the condition of the kitchen there then that might explain the chicken. Unfortunately my visit to the ladies room was after I had eaten the majority of my shared meal with my daughter (prior to the feathers discovery). I had been to this restaurant before and it was ok. When I needed catering for my grandmas 90th birthday party I saw this place had a catering menu and I just needed a few simple dishes so I thought why not, I will try it again. I couldnt be there to pick it up so I called at 230p to confirm it was ready since I had told Mary, the terrible woman who I think owns the place, that I would need to pick up before 3pm. My friend shows up to pick up the food at 315p (she was running late) and the food was not ready. She had to wait for 20 minutes, with her two young kids in the car for the food to be ready. Not a huge deal but it was the beginning of what was going to be a very disappointing experience. When it came time to eat at 530p, I didnt set up the food myself because I was busy making sure the other needs of our 60 guests were being met. When I got in line to get my food with everyone else, at about 6:30, I saw my Aunt and Uncle in front of me. I watched my aunt pick up the spoon that was in the beef and broccoli server and she started pushing the food around, looked disappointed and whispered something to my uncle. After they moved on I stepped up to the food table with my sister and looked into the beef and broccoli dish. The large pan of "beef and brocolli" literally had one piece of visible beef and otherwise was entirely broccoli. I told my sister to take a picture of the food with her phone because I wanted to make sure I had evidence to show the restaurant when I complained. I made sure I called the restaurant the very next day and spoke with Mary who I had placed the order with and who I think runs it. I told her I had a picture of the beef and broccoli from the party and that they had barely given me any broccoli. She said, thats how we make it. I asked her if I could bring in the picture of the food so she could see it. She said no you dont have to come in because thats how we make it. She was almost robotic with her response. The same response each time I tried to make my point. I said so I paid $65 for broccoli. You charge $65 for broccoli? She said you ordered beef and broccoli, yes thats the price and thats how we make it. She then went on to say that the party was yesterday and I did not call her until today. I said yes, I was at the party already serving the food and you dont deliver. So what was I supposed to do? She had no response and then repeated, Sorry but that is how we make it. Unfortunately I paid with cash so I cant get my money back and cannot file a claim with my credit card company. Really regret not paying with credit. So in conclusion dont go here because the people that work here are emotionless robots who have no respect for their customers and will screw you over if they can get away with it. read more

Been here twice and the first time was not memorable but decided to come back here as the place is rt across the street from my hotel and I was too tired to make an effort. Big mistake. Ordered a House Special Chow Mein to go and the delivery was speedy. Reached the hotel and could barely eat a couple of bites. Chinese food is always gonna taste the same, it's the location, service and style that make rest. different from the next. parking is limited so you might have to park up the hill and walk down. i came in just around 6pm. it is a HUGE restaurant. it has lots of tables and lots of chairs. the whole place goes in deep. if this place gets busy, they can handle lots of people. the prices are nice. 5.25 for some chicken chow mein. Now, i was very very hungry when i bought this and it hit the spot. the veggies were nice and cruncy...and i'm glad i asked if they put bean sprouts in the chow mein, because i asked them to hold them out. I'm not a big fan of bean sprouts being part of chow mein, as opposed to being a garnish. Any place that uses bean sprouts for chow mein ingredients(main) then they are just taking up space and the flavor really changes. BUT this was very good, especially without the bean sprouts. i see they have a buffet, i'll give that a try sometime during lunch. I think this might possibly be the worst Chinese food I've ever had, racking my brain trying to think of one. So they comped me some chicken corn soup, which turned out to be the highlight of my meal (should tell you something). so aside from the top volume talking/arguing at the staff table during their lunch the place was empty and quiet. I ordered the shrimp chow fun which was bland the only detectable taste was the charred burnt bits from the grill. I specifically asked if the sesame beef was crispy and she said yes. Well perhaps it was at some point but the undetectable cuts of beef were drowned in so much sauce that they were goopy and chewy. The flavor of the sauce was OK it just needed to be about 25% of what was coded on the mystery bits. The steamed rice was stale and hard. I did take the leftovers to go almost full dishes of both and contemplated giving it to a homeless person but then felt too badly for them. Never again. read more

I love this restaurant. I live in Pacifica and have approximately five chinese restaurant near my home and have tried them all, however I drive to the Pacicic Restaurant cause its just plain good. Great lemon chicken, potstickers, mu shu pork and without a doubt the best pork fried rice I've ever had. Sometimes I just order a couple containers of the rice, thats how good it is. I now live in Foster City and when I get a craving for chinese food I won't go anywhere else. I've gone there for years and previously went to their other location at the Top of the Hll Daly City. Yelpers if you want to be treated with courtesy and respect DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! I had an incident with the two waitresses there. I ordered a lunch plate with tofu and brocolli and I specifically asked for not the "white sauce" that sometimes it comes with. I specifically asked for "brown sauce" meaning a soy sauced based sauce. Well when I got the plate and I took the first bite of tofu it had a fishy aftertaste. I asked the waitress that took my order if they had put fish sauce on my order because it had a fishy taste that I did not like. She said it did not have fish sauce. She said that I ordered brown sauce and the brown sauce is oyster sauce. What? I explained to her that I DID NOT ask for oyster sauce. She then explained to me that brown sauce IS oyster sauce and that I had asked for oyster sauce. I said oyster sauce, fish sauce, seafood sauce, shell fish sauce...my lips did not utter the word oyster or anything remotely from the sea. I've been eating Chinese food all my life and perhaps I was absent when "brown sauce" became specifically "oyster sauce." I told her that I DID NOT ASK FOR OYSTER SAUCE because I am allergic to oysters and that I wanted a soy sauce based brown sauce. I then told her if she could instead order me some vegetable chow mein instead. She then says that the chow mein has oyster sauce in it too. Now I've been to their other location the one on 90th street and I have to tell you I have NEVER tasted oyster in their chow mein! At that point, I told her that I didn't want anything and to just charge me for the tea. Then the other lady says it is a dollar for the tea. Then I walk over to the register and the waitress rings up $2.17 for the tea. I ask " Is it a dollar or $2.17? Which is it." Then they say something to each other in their language and one of them tells me that the tea is free with the meal. I told them I understand that but why am I given two different prices? I then tell her that we are having some communication issues here and that I am confused. Then the waitress tells me something about she has treated me with courtesy. COURTESY? WHAT? COURTESY IS NOT ARGUING WITH YOUR CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!! I had had enough of this bologne. I then told her that they SHOULD LEARN TO LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS and that they should treat their customers with professionalism. They started speaking something in their language and one of them picked up the phone like they were going to call someone. I hoped they weren't going to call the police or anything like that because I am not a criminal I'm just trying to make a point here! At that point I thought I'd better get the heck outta there because obviously this is not worth pursuing because obviously, we weren't on the same page and what I was saying was falling on deaf ears. I paid the $2.17 and got the heck outta there. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. IF YOU LADIES READ THIS REVIEW WHICH I HOPE YOU DO...BROWN SAUCE IS NOT OYSTER SAUCE. OYSTER SAUCE IS OYSTER SAUCE AND BROWN SAUCE IS SOY SAUCE. OK? OK. SO DON'T TRY TO CONFUSE THE ISSUE WHEN YOU AND/OR THE COOK OBVIOUSLY MADE A MISTAKE. read more
