There is no curbside service and you have to walk through the entire restaurant and wait in the middle of a walkway near the bar in back with waitstaff and customers squeezing by to wait your turn to ask if your food is ready. read more

The food here is mediocre and definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed. The sushi tasted like grocery store sushi, and the salad was bitter. Our service was absolutely awful. When we arrived we had to wait over 10 minutes for our server to come greet us, and another 10 for our drinks to arrive. Would not recommend for anybody. I've been here a few times but only for brunch on the weekends. I love their lemon ricotta pancakes but I didn't love their eggs Benedict. Mine were cold and my egg was cooked all the way thru. My husband and I dined here late on a Saturday and were seated by the friendly hostess immediately. The server was less friendly and the appetizer, sides, and entrees were okay, on average. The brussel sprouts smelled like body odor, tasted about the same, and were undercooked. The server forgot the shrimp appetizer and instead of removing it from our bill, brought it out after we received the entrees. I ate here for the first time tonight and I have to say I was very underwhelmed. My husband and I ordered a spicy tuna roll sushi appetizer and the roll itself was about 5% tuna with 0% spice. The worst rendition of a tuna roll I have ever seen. We came here on a Sunday, when the evening special is Crab Cakes for $35. I've had better crab cake take out from Two Sisters in Hurst. They were incredibly bland and served cold. My husband ordered the short rib which was ok. We were hoping to have a new restaurant we could frequent but instead left feeling extremely disappointed. Came here for a Christmas party with my department. It initially was a little hard to locate upon arrival but I soon figured out it was located in the corner of the shopping complex. We had lots of appetizers and they were quite filling. The sliders were the best. Our server was Rojellio and he was just wonderful. If you go there, be sure to ask for him. we are big fans of the Tavern and have eaten at Pacific Table 3 times now. This bad review shows just how important the hostess and servers are. The service has been poor all three times. At dinner two weeks ago our server kept polishing glasses at the bar, and it appeared that serving patrons was an afterthought. At lunch the service was also very slow. The hostess doesnt like to be at the hostess station -- she's always seems to be sitting down eating or drinking wine while you wonder if anyone is there to seat you. The grilled artichokes were the reason we first went to the Tavern after reading about it in 360 magazine, and we were so happy this tradition continued at PT. We get the artichokes every time as an appetizer -- there are 3 halves per order, at $11. This time, at lunch, there were 3 of us, so we placed two orders of artichokes as appetizers. The server plunked down our 2 orders, with only 4 halves, still at $11 per order, explaining that the artichokes were bigger, hence we got 4 halves instead of six. The artichokes were NO bigger at all; we are very familiar with these artichokes...... so we protested. The server said she'd bring more, but it would take time. We said ok. Then the hostess appeared and said she' "take care of it". We waited for the other 2 halves which never came, and the server then explained they were "out". The table next to us then got some. My husband was admittedly very short with her, and then she apparently refused to wait on us any more, and an effusively polite server took her place, which was embarrassing and meant to be so, as our server kept flouncing by. The other food was just ok. We ended up being charged for 1 order of the artichokes, but money really was not the point, and the staff deliberately acted unprofessional. The char was good, but the scallop people felt their scallops were on the small side and some felt they were a bit overpriced. The salmon was good but the hamburger left something to be desired. I guess what soured us on the dining experience was the outrageous price for very mediocre bread. They had the audacity to charge $2.00 for three small pieces of over toasted, very ordinary bread. I have only been here for lunch several times, but there 'Sandwich of the Day' is always DELICIOUS! I have had the salmon burger and the tuna burger and I dare to use the word 'mouthwatering' for both!!! So good. Order one of these with french fries and their flavored tea and I promise, it will not disappoint. The restaurant also has a cool atmosphere and the patio is nice when the weather isn't 100 degrees outside. I also like how it is kind of tucked away in University Park Village. Addicted. I've been eating here religiously since moving from Napa, Ca. to Fort Worth a year ago. Hands down the greatest restaurant in the city. Why? This is a place I would like to come back and try again.... Right now , I am on the fence. My husband and I came here to try out a new place. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was very friendly. They brought out the wrong cocktail to my husband, but it was good so we kept it. I got the flat iron steak salad and it was beautiful when it came out... The steak was cooked perfectly, but the jalapeños were waaaayyyyy too spicy (and I like spicy) ... It over powered the entire dish. My husband got the grouper and it was very greasy and overdone... The salad that came with it was tasty . The calamari was just ok. Over all, it was pretty good and I would like to come back to possibly try other dishes. read more

Pacific table. I ordered cedar plank roasted salmon 24$ Hmm. Let me think. I've gotten a salmon which was well cooked. I mean not to dry in a middle. But it was a bit disappointing how the meal was composed. Oh. Boring. No idea for this meal. You r seriously serving me a meal which is afraid of flavors? Just well done? So when I'm entering the pacific table - it might sound like a promise and after all I have proper salmon and still I have to use salt and pepper. Disappointment. Don't spend ur money there falks. Oh and salad (included in the meal) appeared to be a quinoa with clumsy sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. With no flavor also - so say hi to salt and pepper again! After all this meal was restaurant disaster! Please.... pleasure of cooking and spending time pleasuring your guests is definitely not your priority. Where is the respect for beautiful Asian cuisine? Treat your ingredients witch respect next time. Feel them, than u can feel a respect from costumer. What is more at the end of my visit bartender tried to filled my glass of 1/3 of bottle. Disappointed to say the least, reservation was not recorded and we had to sit crowded in a booth They told us when we arrived the computer was down when we called, and they did not get the reservation entered. I guess writing something down was beyond there capability . The table we should have gotten we were told was reserved for 6:30 pm, no one occupied it until after nearly 45 minutes later. It went downhill from there, the food they brought was cold for 4 of our party of 5. They happily took it back and re-heated what they had brought initially...not good at all. My wife and I came to Pacific Table because of the recommendation of a friend. We had reservations for 4:30 pm. We arrived at 4:25 pm. The greater acted like she could not find our reservation at first but then finally she said she found it. We were the only people standing there and there were several empty tables and booths. Then greater said we should go to the bar and wait because she had other people in front of us. since there was no one else around I asked if we could have one of the booths. She said no and I asked why then she motioned with her head and said go ahead. We took our seats and waited several minutes before anyone. came over to us. We ordered crab claws as an appetizer. When the crab claws arrived I was unable to get the meat out of the crab claws and asked for a crab mallet. She said she didn't think they had any but she would check. She returned with two crab mallets and said they just got them today. We were then ready to order. My wife made it very clear that she could not tolerate spicy food. She asked the server about a couple of dishes and each had spicy elements that could not be taken out. Finally, my wife asked if she could go off-menu and just get some fried shrimp and a salad. The food was taking a long time so I asked for a manager. no one came. I asked for a manager again and no one came. Our food then arrived. My fish was under seasoned and bland. My wife's salad had something spicy in it. Then the greeter told me "she" (the manager) was on the way. in the meantime, my wife asked the server for some tartar sauce. When the "tartar sauce" arrived my wife didn't notice that it was horseradish. She dipped one of her shrimp in the horseradish almost through up. I asked for the manager again. Finally, a male came over and I asked him if he was the manager and he replied that he was one of the assistant managers. I explained all that had occurred and told him I was not going to pay. We visited on a Sunday night for dinner and overall the experience was underwhelming. First the pros. Nice ambiance. The atmosphere was warm and modern. The service was great. Nice albeit small wine list. Something for everyone though. My biggest disappointment was the food itself. We ordered the brussels sprouts salad (and I love brussels sprouts) to share as an appetizer. Be aware when you order this that these are raw brussels. And a lot of them. And while the salad also came with avocado, manchego, eggs, chicken and few raisins/peanuts, the brussels were overwhelming, even with the dressing which was good. And the chicken was nice and moist, but not seasoned whatsoever. It had no taste at all. They asked if we wanted them to split it up in the kitchen, so we said yes, not realizing that added another $5 to the cost of the salad which I think was $15-$18 in the first place. Ouch. I ordered the crab cakes and was so disappointed. They were full of crab meat which was great. But they were unseasoned and cold. They came with a side and I picked the special which was a brussels, corn, bacon concoction which had a nice taste except for the giant, uncooked brussels. Again. I expected them to be cooked. But they were really just warmed. So I used the bacon and corn to try to make my very expensive ($35) crab cakes edible. Dessert is limited to a coconut pie, a lemon or lime dessert and peanut butter ice cream sandwich. We were still drinking red wine, so none of those appealed but it was my birthday, so we ordered the ice cream thing. It was exactly what it sounded like. Overall bummed with our meal which was extremely spendy and not at all a fun birthday experience. read more

We made reservations for brunch on Sunday, August 3, 2014, after having seen the menu for Pacific Table during our many visits to University Park Village. We showed up and were seated immediately by a VERY friendly hostess. Our waiter came shortly after, delivering our menus and asking for our drink orders. The waiter was also VERY friendly although we got the feeling immediately that they were under staffed for the day. We waited for a short time for the drinks, and then placed our appetizer order, a Caesar Salad and Fried Oysters. There was ABSOLUTELY NO description on the menu for the Fried Oysters that would lead you to believe they were prepared in any way but the classic preparation with a dipping sauce of some sort. We asked our waiter what the Fish of the Day was, and were informed "it's nothing special, it's actually only fried shrimp." (at this point, we got the feeling that the waiter had not received much training). At this point we placed our order, a Sushi Roll for my friend and Chillaquiles for me. The menu SPECIFICALLY described the tortillas for my dish to be crispy (as they should be for this dish). This is where things started going down hill. We received our appetizers, and noticed that the fried oysters were soaked in some kind of oil making the breading kind of soggy and then with some type of garnish sprinkled over the top of each one. Again, the menu said nothing of this type of preparation and we were NOT INFORMED of it by our waiter until after the fact (the waiter actually came to the table to ask what we though of them since "some people HATE the stuff they put on them", this being the case we should have been told ahead of time. The good news was that the Caesar Salad was very good! Meanwhile, since we were sitting right by the front door, we noticed people coming in after us that were getting their food well before we did (some even finishing their meal and leaving before we had a chance to eat). Also, we sat for 10-15 minutes with NOTHING to drink until I called our waiter over to the table and asked him if we could please have a refill on our drinks, even then my friend had time to get up and go to the restroom and come back before we ever received our refills (both of which were FLAT, no fizz at all, we didn't even report this to the waiter until we were getting up to leave since we only saw him when we flagged him down. Another waiter delivered our plates, and while my friends Sushi was beautifully prepared and according to him was delicious, my Chilaquiles were visibly soggy. I took maybe two bites, and was totally disappointed by the dish, but again there was no waiter or manager or even a bus boy to be seen. I decided I wouldn't send it back to be done again since we had waited for so long, and finally asked another waiter if he could please send our waiter over, at which point he offered to help instead. I told him I just wanted to send my plate back, and why, and he immediately apologized and was very nice even offering to get me something to replace my original choice. I politely declined, but thanked him for offering. Our original waiter appeared shortly after I returned the dish, and informed me "I understand the food wasn't up to YOUR standards." I really couldn't believe that he said it that way, but I calmly told him "Actually it wasn't up to YOUR standards, the dish was not prepared as described on the menu." He again offered to replace my meal, and I told him that I was okay, and that we would just like our check. At this point he informed me "we will comp your meal", and I just replied "I would hope so, I couldn't eat it". While we waited for our check, which was for several more minutes, we were NEVER APPROACHED BY A MANAGER to see if they could rectify the situation. I have been in customer service on and off for years, and I can tell you that something as simple as a personal visit from the manager can make things a lot better even if they can't fix what was wrong. But sadly, the manager NEVER made an appearance. We WILL NOT BE RETURNING to Pacific Table, it is not worth the trip or the money! P.S. Called and spoke with the manager to voice our concerns... after repeatedly having her try to talk over me, I gave up when her comment was "The chef wrote the menu and he loves it the way it is..." POOR FOOD, POOR SERVICE... all points to POOR MANAGEMENT. read more

Started out at the arrival, we had reservations for four and the hostess asked if we minded waiting, I could see at least six empty four tops. She tried to seat us at the worst table by the door, I said no and she finally took us to another table. The waiter bringing our food tied to put our entrees down with all our empty appetizer plates still in place, I had to ask her to take them, and with a grunt she did. I could not find this place but my friend and I did not give up and we discovered it was tucked away in the corner of the shopping strip. It is quite the gem and I'm happy we tried it out. We walked in and sat at the sushi bar, right in front of the open kitchen. It was the best spot in the house for our first time. The kitchen manager showed and explained a bunch of different food options that were ordered and even gave us some samples. We had sushi and it was amazing, the best I've had in Fort Worth yet. We were extremely impressed with the service and quality of food. I also immediately recognized the correlations between this place and Hillstone, only to find out the owner used to work there! This place was a perfect nice date night venue. We got the fried oysters and the special (swordfish), along with wine and an old fashioned. I told the waiter I liked my wine "sweet, but not too sweet" and he brought me just that; delicious! The seafood was melt-in-your-mouth divine.
