I got a flat on the freeway so I put on my spare & used a gps to find a nearby tire store which pointed me to this place. They are fast and cheap--Carrying both new and used tires. The guy looked at my flat to see if it was patchable but sadly it was punctured on the side. It seems like they don't have uniform pricing, since the guy working just quoted tire prices from memory but he gave me a real good price on a new tire and I was out in 15 min. I tipped him nicely because of the quick service and price. It was weird my gps didn't point me to Pepboys right across the street tho. But, nevertheless, I'm still happy I went to this place--Probably saved $$. read more

Just an update in case anyone was interested: The owner, John, has personally contacted me to apologize and make an effort to return my center caps since I posted my review. Unfortunately, I had to tell him I've been so swamped this week I don't even have time to stop by and pick them up, so he offered to deliver them to my house, which he did that very same day. Now that's customer service. He's also offered me a very generous 50% off any service on my next visit, which I'll gladly take him up on when I can find the time and money to rent another car. Just got new shoes for my truck! I am a returning customer to this business because of the no none sense attitude and quick service. They didn't have my tires the day I came in so an order was placed and they did have them the next day. It's a super basic, relaxed place, the guys are friendly, and they do their best to get you back on the road asap. I little hiccup with this visit though, I had left and had gotten just down the block when I heard a pop... Yup, lost a weight! Returned (kinda lucky that it was a slow day) and they rebalanced the wheel, then, while leaving the service area I hear a metal sound that I ran over. I back up and see another weight, I get out and it's shinny new! By then one of the techs is out with me and I back my truck up and he removes the wheel again, balance again, only this time he taps a better pinch on the weight clip and remounts my tire on my truck. Smiles, sorrys, and thank yous are exchanged and I depart again and this time no trouble! I'll be back for my free tire rotation! :o) read more

These guys are unprofessional. Came in with a flat tire, requesting a patch and they were very quick to start the repair, however, the workmanship was the problem. They did not mark the clocking of the tire when they removed it, so when they put it back on it was not in the original location and is now out of balance. Also, when they re-installed the wheel, they did not torque the bolts with a torque wrench but, instead, wailed on them with an impact driver for a while. Now I have to take the car somewhere else to get the wheel balanced. Following up, they did balance the wheel for free, but still did not torque the lug nuts properly when the vehicle was brought back. They definitely have torque wrenches because they torqued the nut on the Mercedes next to my car. I guess my VW doesn't meet their standards for needing to be properly torqued read more

Rolando was great. I came in thinking my SUV had an alignment issue because it was pulling to the right. He physically checked all the tires, manually feeling for any abnormalities, and advised me that it was my right rear tire that had bubbled. I bought the Hankook tires 4 years ago and he said it happens. He told me that if I wanted to stick to that brand, he could have it for me the next day and in the meantime he would install a spare from his shop (not my spare) so I could drive home safely. That was cool. He also said he had some good quality Yokohama tires available in his shop that were not that much more than the ones I had on my vehicle. He went and checked the price difference and also indicated the rating difference between Hankook and Yokohama. It was nice that he quoted me the final price (including balance, alignment, tax, etc.). For the tiny price difference, I went with his suggestion and the guy at the counter told me that if my SUV still pulls to the right after driving it, to come back and they would see what's up. So far so good, and the tires are holding up well. The other cool thing was that they rotated the older front tires to the rear, and installed the two new tires in front. They could have just gone the easy route and replaced both rear tires with the new tires, but they really care about giving great service and doing what's best for the customer. Because it wasn't busy, this took less than 30 minutes, but I didn't feel rushed at all. Fast and courteous service - I've already referred a couple of people to these guys. NOTE: I also came here a few months ago on a rainy afternoon with a flat tire right as they were closing and they waved me to come in and they patched it right up. Awesome guys here. read more

I went in to get a nail removed from the outer rim of my tire. When I got home I noticed the tire markings and that the "inside" of my tire was facing outside. I took the wheel off and found that all they did was flip my rim to the wrong side and left the nail in the tire. This is negligent and highly unsafe. There is no trust here and the worker who did this tried to fool the wrong person. Make sure any work here you get done is actually done right, or don't come here at all. Waste of my time. read more

The guy who helped me here said I actually only *really* needed 1 tire. I spend $100 on a great tire and was good to go in about half an hour. I trusted this place before and I went in again today to get my tires changed. The service was fast which was great. However when I drove about 40 mph after getting them changed, my car started bouncing a little bit, and once I got on the freeway barely at 50 mph, my car started bouncy like crazy! I got scared so I pulled over to the side and called pacific tires. They initially told me it was going to be a 2 hour wait, but once I told them what happened, they said they would check it out. I drove back in, workers were just hanging out and I couldn't figure out why the person on the phone told me it would be a two hour wait when there was only one couple waiting when I drove in. The worker immediately knew it was me (phone call) and took care of the situation. I asked what the problem was and he said the balance of the tires were off and that the machine was "broken?" Not sure if it was really broken or if they forgot to check the balance but regardless, why would they let me drive out without getting the tires checked properly? What an excellent experience! Brought in my car on a Sunday around lunchtime and they had me in and out within 15-20 mins! I noticed I was very slowly losing tire pressure in my right rear tire, so I called ahead and was assured they'd be able to get to me within 5 mins of arriving; that they certainly did. In fact, I was immediately helped! Not only that, but they helped me feel very comfortable with them working on my car. My car is lowered a bit and has some aftermarket aero, and after trying one jack they realized it wouldn't clear my carbon fiber sideskirts, so they took the time and pulled out all the stops including getting a other jack as well as grabbing jackstands in case even that wasn't enough. They are definitely car people! Once my wheel was off they immediately found the nail and went to fix the tire. While waiting, I had a pleasant conversation with the guys and $20 dollars later everything was sorted. Couldn't recommend them more! The best part of this tire shop is that you can watch them work and they treat your car like their own. read more

I've swapped over 20 tires huge off road ones and regular street although pepboys is right Dow the street these guys are quick quality and service with a smile. My 2020 Tesla Model Y back rear tire had a nail in it so I called Pacific Tire to see if they patched tires and the cost. After speaking to the young lady she said $10-15 dollars and we can do it now, so I sent my assistant to Pacific Tire and I headed over there to meet her. When she arrived they told her $35-$40... a clear bait and switch!! 10 minutes after she arrived I arrived and the tire was still on the car. Finally the tech removed the tire and took the tire to the back of the shop, he returned 10mins later and said your tires needs to be replaced since it's punctured on the sidewall, I said to him are you kidding me I watched you take the tire off the car and these are brand new tires how did you manage to puncture the tire? He said it was like that already. I told him if it was punctured already why was I able to drive on it and it looks like the machine to remove the tire is the one that punctured it, these tires are brand new I only went to them cause I got a nail in the tire.. he kept advising me I need a new tire and they are not responsible... I highly recommend you stay away and NOT take your Tesla or any high end car to this tire place, they only can do low level cars. Stay away!!! read more

Please be careful when purchasing a used tire from this location. I purchased a used tire from PTS and my tire is already showing its wire and leaking air. It has not even been a full year and the tire began derogating after a few months of it being installed. I called PTS and explained the situation and they offered to sell me their other tires in stock because there was nothing they could do. Why would I go back to a place that sold me a shitty ass tire in the first place? The lack of common sense. read more

Martin's customer service is horrible he talked rude to me and down to me! I've been coming to Pacific Tire for years! He was talking trash about former employees that used to work there one in particular name Frank! He was boasting on how great he was and how better he is for the company! These are my issues with the situation! 1. They locked my keys in the car while the key was in the ignition on position! This is after I initially walked in and handed them my key I was actually inside the lobby watching La Bamba! 2. I understand accidents happen but then they tried to make me pay for it! They wanted to charge me close to $100 to get my own keys out the car! 3.Martin brought his cell phone over to me and proceeded to bring up his camera footage, I asked him why is he showing me this already know what happened. Plus I have cameras in my car that are running! He said the camera footage showed it was my fault! So therefore you have to pay for it we're not going to pay he said! I ended up being late for work who knows if my car is damaged behind the situation I guess I'll find out later! 4. I was initially told when they locked my keys in the car not to worry about it, they would take care of everything just give them a minute! And half an hour later I was being blamed for locking my own keys in the car! 5. I called AAA myself and I told them to charge Pacific Tire. 6. Broke one of the tire nuts! Diego and Rolando was actually off that day but Diego knows me and he asked me what happened he didn't interrogate me. He just help and he apologized he should be the manager! Diego took care of situation he paid to have AAA take my keys out the car! Now that's fantastic customer service! Rolando's customer service is fantastic too I can't leave him out he's always consistently taking care of all his customers! Rolando been working there for at least 15 years he's nice and happy, always smiling and a hard worker! I wanted to make sure I said something positive about Pacific Tire as well! Besides this rotten Apple everybody else there is great! I don't understand why they would put someone that's rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional in charge? What a bad decision! He has cost Pacific Tire several customers because my whole entire family has stopped coming to Pacific Tire and I will make sure I put it on Facebook so all my friends will stop as well! I handed the technician the keys to my car they never got handed back to me. My door was partially open to my car when I approached it! I went inside to grab my purse so I can pay them. When exiting my vehicle the door closed because it was still on the rack off the ground maybe the wind blew it! Then when I got home I realized while washing the car they have broke one of the nuts head off on the same tire they replaced! This was a traumatizing experiment. I really never thought going to get a tire replace all this will happen! Especially since I've been coming here for such a long time! I'm so disappointed! I hope everybody who goes to Pacific Tire in Lawndale reads this review and cautious themselves before dealing with Martine! You might want to pray first make sure you had a cup of coffee and something in your stomach because he will upset you! read more

So I came back to get new tires and Tire pressure sensors put in and it turned out it was going to be a $40 labor fee, which I though was still super reasonable so I didn't mind. I also got an alignment and they gave me a discount probably because I bought a whole set of tires. They showed me what my tires look like that showed I needed one, and it showed that the workers here are honest. The customer service here is so great, I'll probably be a customer here for as long as I live in the area! I'll be back for my free rotation! read more

Ive been coming here for years and they always do a great job. They move quickly but do not cut any corners. I needed to patch a leaking tire, it had a huge nail. While filling all the tires to the correct psi (as a courtesy) they found a screw in another tire. They patched both of them tires and i was in and out in about 20 minutes. These guys were incredible. Hit a pothole in LA and towed it here since I live in the south bay. Incredible service going above and beyond what a normal shop offers. If you go to pepboys expect the corporate treatment of f*** you pay me. Pacific Tire is a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere with no upsells to crap you don't need off of a list printing by some corporate bean counter. These guys not only gave me a same day turnaround (basically I came in 10 minutes before they closed the previous day) on a reshape and weld job on my cracked 20' inch rim, but they noticed the tire on the cracked rim was still fine so they used that. Gave me a loaner 18' rim so that my car wouldnt sit too lop-sided at no cost, and only charged me $100 for the reweld, sealant, reshape, rebalance, and all labor. Please do not do business with crooked Pacific Tire people or even use their mechanic John's services. John their mechanic is a very dishonest man. He charged me $2200 to repair and stop the oil leak on my 1989 classic Lincoln Town Car and later on I discovered nothing was done. I had to spend another $1700 to redo what this dishonest mechanic did not do. He should be arrested and taken to jail. Now I am suing them for fraud. read more
