    Tomato Basil Bisque
    Shelly S.

We drove up to see the tulips and decided to stop in at the street fair. It was great to see all the crafts etc. but then the hunger pangs started and we decided to drop into Pacioni's for a late lunch. It wasn't too packed so we picked a seat close to the door. It was a cute cozy restaurant fitting for a small town. We were greeted by the server and she asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Looking at the menu we decided to order an app and a couple on entrees. My daughter loves spaghetti so I decided to order the spaghetti and meatballs, roasted garlic and focaccia bread, my hubby ordered the cobb salad with ranch and the tomato bisque. We got the focaccia bread with roasted garlic. The bread was really good, and I think it was fresh baked. It did need a bit of salt and the cheese was too big and kept falling off. maybe baked on a bit would help. Always love roasted garlic! mmm. The spaghetti and meatballs were good too. The meatballs were tasty! My hubby liked the tomato bisque but i found it to be on the sweeter side. All in all our meal was good. I wished we had seen our server more but other than that, the meal was good.

We were once again very impressed with Pacioni's Pizzeria. I kept hearing about how the pizza has changed, but I disagree, the pizza is still the best pizza in Mount Vernon by far. Great service as well, our two servers, one was being trained, were both very attentive. My Pizza was delicious, the crust is outstanding, and the sauce is unique and very tasty. My salad was fresh, the blue cheese dressing was probably homemade and really good, and the presentation was nice. The only negative part about the entire experience was the Christmas music in September, that was very annoying, I think someone finally changed the station. We will not wait another four years to return.

We've gone here a time or two, and just recently ordered on Uber Eats. It literally came looking like half of the food was missing, portion size was incredibly small for the . We put in a few special instructions due to allergies, and they were not followed, not to mention that items were completely missing. It was fairly expensive for very low quality, small portions, bland flavor, missing items and just overall not very good. Even when dining in, we were not impressed. The servers seemed fairly an experienced, and I'm not very interested to be working. Drinks took about 15 minutes, food again was not great and bland. We went in probably two years before writing this review, and we were hoping that it would have changed, but it definitely has not.

Any time we drive through Mount Vernon we stop at Pacioni's. It's that good! ALERT: We checked in with the Yelp app and got 15% off our meal. Today we had the special Prix Fixe meal - Spaghetti Carbonara with Caesar salad and tiramisu. We also had the marinara meatball appetizer and an amazing calzone with mushroom, spinach and sausage. Everything came out hot and tasted great. Our server Elean was helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. Is it the cheapest pizza place in Mount Vernon? Probably not. But the quality is worth the price. We'll be back.

Caesar salad. 14 bucks and it's the size of a side salad. What a rip off.

Uhm.... super bummed. I don't know if they just don't care about their to go orders or if they are just ridiculously overpriced but I got a caesar salad for 14 dollars and it literally wasn't even the size of 1 head of lettuce. FOURTEEN DOLLARS FOR A SIDE SALAD. I added a photo to compare the size to my Amazon remote. Oh and 20 bucks for a TINY Margherita pizza?! There was nothing amazing about it. I could have gone and just gotten a frozen pizza for the same price and would have tasted just as good. I'm so disappointed because I heard nothing but good things about this place. But if a place is really going to charge 14 dollars for a tiny ass side salad... they are straight up robbing you.

We loved our food and the staff was great! We called for a reservation and they were able to get us in on a Friday night which was amazing. Highly recommend the pizza, artichoke dip, and roasted Garlic. Prices were fair for in that area and we will 100% be back when we are in town.

by @iwanttobewhatieat @pacionis_downtown let's get the worst out of the way and move on to the best. The service is ok. Not in a way that is the servers fault, she actually was very nice, sort of a top down thing. We had to ask for everything: Extra napkins for very messy food, plates for the charcuterie which coffee saucers were dropped off, refills of ice tea & water, to go boxes and finally after ten minutes of the to go boxes being left, the bill. Let's point out we are the only ones there at this time and our bill is over 100.00. Very very nice server. But just complete lack of service overall. Now the great The food is fantastic. Charcuterie board was fresh and an abundance of food for the price. Roasted garlic was amazing and cooked to perfection. So much garlic for two people, however I am vampire proof for at least a month. South First calzone is like you dated people all your life but then you met Thor and dated Thor. It's so good it changes you. Portobello mushrooms, basil, garlic, roasted peppers and ricotta. Pesto tortellini was divine. If you are looking for amazing #foodtherapy without the service. This is your place. The food outweighs the bad. #skagiteats #pnweats #mountvernon #skagitvalley #nomnom #eathere #eat #eatingfortheinsta #delicious #calzone #deliciousfood #eathere #foodgram #eatingfortheinsta #foodiesofinstagram #foodblogger #pnwfoodie #foodblog #foodie #bestfood #foodstagram #foodlover #foodaddict #washingtonrestaurants #washingtoneats #pnwfood #skagitfoodies #borntoeat #yummy #deliciousness #restaurantblogger

    Pacioni's Style Chicken Piccata

Horrendously overpriced, $30 for half a platter of chicken picatta is criminally expensive

I was pleasantly surprised with Pacioni's. We showed up right a 4pm on Saturday 3/23 when the dinner menu takes effect. The plus was there was only one table occupied and that was it. The place is clean and set up well. The three of us occupied one of the booths. We received our menus and drinks promptly and while we were waiting to order a large birthday group started showing up. We were lucky enough to get our orders in ahead of the large group thankfully. I had the ragu on penne and it was fantastic. The ragu has roasted red peppers, sausage, sun dried and stewed tomatoes and some onion and parsley all mixed in a deeply flavored marinara. There were so many flavors working in it. I will definitely get it again. The portion was smaller than I would have liked but I added a Greek side salad. Mrs. BD loves Chicken Parm and she was happy with it. The chicken sits on a bed of Spinach Alfredo and topped with that deep marinara I told you about. My daughter had the lasagna. She liked it but I don't think it was worth $21.95. The portion was not equal to the price tag. It looked like lasagna soup to me. Smothered in sauce and cheese in a bowl. The service was prompt and the male server we had was personable. I did notice as our meal wore on the servers mostly gravitated over to the large group. I understand that to a point. The only time it was noticeable was between finishing our meals and ordering a desert, then the wait for the desert. We asked for the check when we ordered the desert because I did not want to wait until my birthday for the check. The place was getting full by the time we left so I was looking to make an exit. We had a decent visit and we will definitely be back. As a side note to Yelp I tried using a 15% off e coupon from the Yelp app for the check-in but the restaurant did not honor it. I don't really care about getting a discount but maybe Yelp needs to know those e coupons don't necessarily mean a patron will receive the discount.

There's no way anyone could possibly leave this place feeling anything other than full, happy, and excited to come back. Like a true Italian family, Nonna's won't let anyone go hungry. We were planning on having dinner here one night but the ferry was late. By the time we pulled up it was already 30 minutes after they closed so we sat in our car parked across the street looking up what other places might still be open. The owner happened to be outside and shouts "Are you hungry?!" They had already cleared out for the night, there weren't people still sitting down eating. But he invited us in anyway. I would've expected our server Carmen to be annoyed because I'm sure she wanted to go home but instead she welcomed us in just like the owner did. We thanked her and apologized but she said "that's what we do here, we take care of people." They even gave us a free desert since we were celebrating a birthday. Chef Alberto runs the whole operation himself cooking, serving, sharing stories, and making you feel like you've been invited to Sunday lunch at his family's table in Italy. His passion shows in every bite. I've had plenty of eggplant parm over the years, but this one? Best I've ever eaten. Served in a simple plastic container yet unforgettable perfectly balanced sauce pasta cooked just right, and eggplant that was tender and full of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken mushroom ravioli, and I was tempted to sample half of it. Big, pillowy pasta filled with rich, savory goodness an absolute win! It was airy, creamy, and just espresso kissed enough to keep you going back for another spoonful. The veal was overdone and notably fatty, and the saffron risotto was very dry; it desperately needed a sauce to pull the components together. I perused the menu on a large chalkboard and chose the Emmer Spaghetti and added the optional meatballs. While waiting for my meal I discovered that they might have cannolis! I asked about getting a cannoli and was told that they would need to see if there was enough ingredients for one. I was in luck and was able to order one! The spaghetti was very well prepared and cooked. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the homemade pasta. The meatballs were the highlight in my opinion! The background music was playing "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang and there's a line that asks "what is your pleasure" and I thought "right now? This meatball and the spaghetti!" I found the Cavatelli to be well balanced. It was a great carrier for the fresh heirloom tomatoes and english peas. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente. The sandwich was fantastic. They make the bread in house and it definitely shows in all the best ways. It was crusty, chewy and a great vessel for the meat. The only qualm I have about the place is the price; it feels a bit high for what you receive, especially in the case of the spaghetti. Now, I have had just about every key lime pie from Florida to Washington and even in Hawaii. This one was more like cheesecake than pie, that being said- it was pretty dang good. (I will really, really regret this later) Prices were on par with most restaurants in town, the vibe was rustic and casual, (love the booths). We'll be back, Hey, mambo, mambo italiano...

Dear Reader... I…read morehave too many adjectives to describe our dining experiance at Mombo's without you thinking I'm overblown and can't be taken seriously. But that said, I will say this: *Atmosphere was Friday Night Busy, active and energetic, so our party was not the only one to be enjoying ourselves. *Menu is diverse and appealing. Our Kitchen Sink pizza was especially uniquely flavorful with no slices left to take home. *Prices are typical for 2026 fine eateries, so plan accordingly. (Otherwise, there's always a cheap pizza place somewhere that you'll regret later on while reaching for the antacid bottle...) *OF SPECIAL NOTE WAS THE WAIT STAFF ABBY!! She thoroughly took care of all our needs, especially my wife's food allergy issues. She went to the kitchen TWICE to ensure they could modify the selection she chose, without consternation or excuses. EXCELLANT SERVICE! Of special note: Abby is also the house baker, who created the recipe for the lavender lemon cheesecake we shared around. TOO TOO GOOD!! So, if you find I've used too many adjectives to show my appreciation for our dining experiance, you'll have to find out for yourself. BILL SEZ TWO THUMBS BIG-TIME UP. Check 'em out!
