The food is so scrumptious here! My favorite was the focaccia. Everything we got was super flavorful and service was friendly :)) There are a lot of options since they merged kitchens with Burrata Bistro so the menu had both italian and mexican food. Id definitely come back again to try the other foods on the menu

Tried this place for the first time on 8-20-25 We sat inside. We each ordered a drink and we both said they were perfect! We decided to order 2 Tapas and then order from the Burrata side We tried the Cod Fritters which were pretty good, and the tortilla with artichokes which was delicious! I ordered the Penne Puttanesca which was very good although I would have liked more anchovy flavor. My wife had the cannelloni which was also very good but she would have preferred it with just béchamel sauce and no red sauce. Regardless, both meals were very good. For dessert, we split the brioche and apricot bread pudding which was yummy! We were only staying in Poulsbo for two nights and on the second night we decided to go back to the same restaurant . This time we each had a drink and they were good, we decided to just order for appetizers and then each get our own dessert. We tried the empanadas, the tortilla with artichoke hearts , brussels sprouts with manchego cheese & the smoked paprika rubbed tenderloin. They were all amazing. My wife tried the tiramisu and I had the chocolate truffle torte We split each and they were good size portions and very tasty . Our servers were very good and attentive . I highly recommend people try this place . The back patio is very relaxing and enjoyable..

I am a huge consumer of tapas and paellas in multiple cities around the world and this place ranks far in the bottom half. We ordered 3 tapas plates and the seafood paella. Unfortunately, none of them should be experienced twice. Their take on potatoes bravas is like mushy jojo potatoes over marinara and the sautéed shrimp plate were reminiscent of Costco garlic shrimp from the frozen section. The paella was not any better. Seafood was dry and bland. Service was friendly, but it doesn't make up for less than mediocre food. Poulsbo is the next cute touristy town so if you are visiting like we were, spend your money and calories elsewhere.

Wonderful service. Great food! A lil too dark for my liking. There were nice vegetarian options! You can order food from both Paella bar and Burrata Bistro which is nice especially for young kids. I got my daughter butter pasta (which isn't on the menu) but it caters to picky kids. The only item we didn't like was roasted potato. We also had a chocolate dessert with sea salt and caramel which was yummy (great portion)

The food here is ridiculously good! Been there dozens of times and never disappointed. Go hungry because there will be so many things you will want to eat!

Wow, what an establishment! They are an Italian bistro and a Spanish tapas paella bar combined. Their menu is extensive (with allergen friendly menus available) and there are options for literally any and every taste. We stopped in here to celebrate my birthday and primarily ordered seafood from the tapas menu (we may have ordered every seafood option...). The service was quick, thoughtful and our waitress was so friendly! Every dish had its own flavor and flair and were equally delicious in their own rites. I cannot suggest this spot enough!

Great drinks, awesome service and wonderful food! Visited Poulsbo on our anniversary weekend and we had the beet salad, fennel tuna carpaccio & chicken liver pate.

Sorry Yelp, we just don't agree on Paella Bar/Burrata Bistro. As big fans of small and sharable plates, we had high hopes for this restaurant. We ordered several small plates and found all were good, but none were great. The real highlight was the Focaccia bread with olive oil and vinegar. The Raclette was pretty good over well cooked potatoes. The empanadas didn't have much flavor. The cod balls were a bit fishy. The bay shrimp ceviche had an over powering spice of some type. The bummer was the surprise 7% surcharge on the bill. There were three adults in our party, who were all sober. None of us could recall seeing anything posted inside the restaurant or listed on the menu warning of this arbitrary charge. I'm not one to make a scene, so I paid the bill without complaint. After, I did ask the waitress what the surcharge was for. It was explained the owner chose to add the charge during covid to cover additional costs. And that was it.... I wonder how long covid can be used as an excuse to charge higher prices. I wonder why a restaurant does not feel the need to clearly provide notice of these additional charges, especially in a tourist town. Seems a bit shady to me. Live and learn though. We patronized another half dozen food and drink establishments in town after this experience and we were sure to inspect postings, menus and bills for like charges. We are happy to report Paella Bar/Burrata Bistro stood alone in this area.

Fabulous food, ambiance and service! Best restaurant in Kitsap County by far! I love the menu, with so many delicious Italian dishes on one side and tasty tapas & small plates on the other! I've been numerous times and have enjoyed the Calamari Napolitano, Burrata Caprese, I had the Calamari a la Planche on my last visit - so good! My husband and friends always order the Pork Osso Buco or the Long Bone Short Rib - both just fall off the bone & melt in your mouth! Oh, and you must order the focaccia bread! It is out of this world and soaks up all the delicious juices and sauces of every dish! Just go! It's SO yummy!

3 stars in a good way, I would come back. Of note: - Paella Bar + Burrata Bistro - 2 restaurants in one. This restaurant is 2 spaces, with combined menus- great for variety. Even has some Mexican food options ( Cubano sandwich and enchilada on tapas menu). - note additional service charge on bill of 7.5% that goes to restaurant, not servers. Owner opted to keep menu, and adjust cost of inflations with the service charge vs reprinting menu with increased prices. Food- good, especially for being in Poulsbo. Lots of variety- Spanish, Italian and a distinct of Mexican options. The food we got was good, like really past home cooking, but not there at being really good. This is not a bad thing, more of setting expectations. - so much variety- what a win! - penne with bolognese was a tad spicy, kids had hard time eating it. I enjoyed it, meat was chunky and tender. - pork osso bucco- $37.50- pork braised for 4 hrs, super tender. Good flavors. Fried potatoe cake was mash potato in a disk form, coated with panko and deep fried. The accompany broccolini and carrots were a bit over fried or roasted, so was bit on oily end. - seafood paella $24.50 yum! - torta de patata with chorizo and spinach $10.95. - brussel sprouts with bacon and manchego &10.95. All good, though my host student from Spain gave an average 7.0 out of 10 for the food and said not quite like home. - Sangria- was solid 2.5-3 stars. It had the qualities of sangria, but I think it was the quality of ingredients, had a cloudy look- suspect orange juice from a bottle. We got a pitcher $35, solid 8 glasses! Great value! One glass is $11. I would get again to keep to theme if getting tapas. Not amazing. Service- was lovely. Got checked in a lot. Lots of forks, from seafood fork, appetizer fork, and main fork for 7 people! So much utensil options, but felt a tiny excessive. Ambiance- paella bar- had music and was full. We were ushered to space next door, which was a little dark, and not as lively. Great for my family. Location- on Main Street, subtle signs. Street parking and main parking lot. Recommend- if you're looking for variety and tapas and lovely service, YES!

As noted by other reviewers - the menu and space has combined with the neighboring Burrata Bistro, so you can order appetizers and entrees from either menu anytime you visit, as they're now a single restaurant. Nice interior ambiance and also a pretty nice covered outdoor seating area (with heat lamps, so it's actually quite nice even on a chilly day); solid/friendly service. Haven't tried a lot off the "Paella Bar" side of the menu appetizer-wise, other than the tortilla de patatas, which was alright; however, we did try their titular dish, specifically the chicken and seafood variant. It was pretty good - portion size was decent, all things considered. It felt a little heavy on the saffron, which, depending on your personal preference may be a good thing. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu, although I've been more impressed by the "Burrata Bistro" side of the menu thus far; all in all, either way you go, it's a nice, comfortable, classy sit-down restaurant experience with a nice variety of dishes.

This was a delicious dinner! These two restaurants combined so now there's an even bigger menu selection. They have a tasty selection of cocktails, I went with a tiki drink. We had the burrata which was really tasty and the razor clam. The focaccia bread was also yummy and a half size was huge!I had the manicotti, it was tasty and a decent portion. I tried the cioppino; it had a ton of seafood in it! Overall, this was a yummy dinner, I would definitely come back again sometime.

During covid, Paella Bar and Burrata Bistro merged to become one joint restaurant with two kitchens- hence the confusion you might have when looking up the directions on Google Maps. We came on a sunny Saturday during lunch time and there was plenty of available seating. We were surprised with the brightly lit outdoor patio where there were lots of heaters, fireplace, and umbrellas to make sure we were comfortable. Our waitress was soooo nice and so accommodating I wish I got her name but anyways service was above and beyond. Service will never make it or break it for me if the food is good but it sure is a plus. The menu is largely extensive and my mom and I decided to pick the safest options from both kitchens: Burrata and paella! The Burrata Caprese was house made and the tomatoes were refreshingly cold. Seafood paella was flavorful and the mussels and clams had a nice smokiness to it. I would definitely come back here again and want to try the other tapas and Italian dishes.

You Will Be Disappointed…read more I was looking forward to going to La Loba, on the recommendation of a friend; in her defense, she went for dinner, we went to brunch. Perhaps the A team works the dinner shift, as there is zero service for the Sunday brunch shift. La Loba is led by a James Beard-Nominated Chef with experience at renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, which is why our experience at La Loba was so extra disappointing. As a guest, I expected more, and as guests, we should have received more. We were sat and our server takes our order. We did not see him again until the end our meal. Despite it not being busy, as they first opened at 10:00 AM, we were never checked on while we waited 20 minutes for waffles and tableside French toast. Perhaps we changed our minds, and did want to order coffee, or a cocktail, or supplement to our order (which I did), but was never afforded the opportunity as we never saw our server, and all other servers seemed incredibly busy just walking around the restaurant, not doing very much. This was not isolated to our table; there was another table where they were essentially left alone after their food arrived. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing brunch, La Loba will not be providing it, as there is a DJ playing music for ambience. The music was incredibly loud, where I could not hear my husband, who was sitting 3 feet away from me. When the food finally arrived, we were given a "show" (the tableside French toast), I am not sure why the server bothered to tell us what he was adding, as we could not hear him over the music and his mumbling. The food was unimpressive. My husband's waffles were hard and dry. My "XXL" French Toast was essentially a huge hunk of bread, topped with fresh berries, granola, nuts, vanilla gelato, and choice of local honey or dulce de leche. I had expected the bread to have been sliced and stacked, or for the bread itself to be somewhat flavorful. But no. Almost $40 for a hunk of hard, bland bread and some berries. The only flavorful aspect of the plate was the gelato. I could have forgiven the food if the service was better. Our server finally made an appearance to clear our plates and was shocked I didn't finish my hunk of bread. It was only at this point he asked if wanted anything else. We received our check as he hovered while we tapped our card to pay, and immediately cleared our table as we were getting up. If only he gave the same attention to clearing our table as he did in actually hosting us with hospitality, we would have returned for dinner. The food is not spectacular, or singular enough to override the non-existent service. The restaurant, like its food, is beautiful to the eye, but a huge disappointment when you actually experience it. A generous one star, because zero is unavailable. Just another Seattle restaurant with self-entitled service staff expecting a 20 percent gratuity for barely doing the minimum.

We did a belated Christmas gift exchange with friends recently and our friends made reservations here. So glad they did! It's literally right down in the main Bellevue Square hub, so we were able to easily park at the mall and make a short walk to Castilla. Vibes were perfect with low lighting but still a bustling atmosphere. Our server (unfortunately forgot his name) kept solid recommendations coming all night and was so funny and personable! As this is a tapas spot, we tried quite a few dishes and split them amongst the table. Mixta Paella: our server promised us that the smaller size paella was good for 2-4 people and man he was RIGHT. The portion was absolutely insane and I don't think we even finished all of it. Everything tasted so fresh and there was so much flavor to the dish. They warn you ahead of time, but plan for the paella to take 30 minutes for them to prepare. Grilled Octopus Leg: Every time I have octopus (which is two times now LOL) I'm a little worried about the texture, but it was prepared beautifully here and the sauce that it was in was delicious. Salmon & Artichoke Dip: I'm a sucker for any type of artichoke dip and this was no exception. Creamy, rich, and great flavor! Beef Medallions: Tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Chorizo & Onion Empanada: Another banger. So crispy and the filling was so good! I actually was on the fence about this one but my husband insisted, and it was a good choice. Patatas Aioli: Crispy layered potato with a garlic aioli? I mean, come on. You can't go wrong. Delicious. I had made a reservation in advance by phone. When we arrived, however, the restaurant told us they could not find our reservation. While mistakes can happen, the interaction felt dismissive from the very beginning. After we were eventually seated, we were not given menus, even though other guests around us received theirs immediately. We waited and asked multiple times but were still left without menus. Eventually, I tried to get the attention of the front desk and asked for a menu. Instead of helping us, the owner came over and told us that we were being "not polite" and that because we were "not polite," we would not be given a menu. Wanting to document our experience, I posted a Google review while we were waiting. Shortly afterward, the owner came directly to our table with the review on her phone and confronted us about it while we were eating. I politely asked if we could discuss it after the meal, but was told that we needed to change the review immediately or leave the restaurant. I was honestly shocked. I've never experienced a restaurant owner approaching diners during their meal and pressuring them to modify a review. This was my father's birthday dinner, and the confrontation made the entire evening uncomfortable and upsetting for my family. To make matters worse, after we got home, we realized that one of the dishes we ordered was never served at all, and no one noticed throughout the entire meal. I understand that service mistakes can happen. Losing a reservation, forgetting menus, or missing an item can all be corrected. What disappointed me most was how these issues were handled. Instead of acknowledging the problems, we were blamed, confronted, and pressured to change our feedback. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe future customers deserve to know about our experience.

The more detailed vers: I found this place on Yelp, but had never visited before. I was SO excited by the glowing recommendations, so my bf and I decided to choose it to make my 40th bday dinner special. - First clue something was off was the place was dead. We were the SOLE patrons there on a Sunday night! - My mandarin basil mocktail was quite literally a glass of grapefruit juice with a single basil leaf on top. - We ordered crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer; not only were they not crispy but they were near raw? Tough, undercooked brussel sprouts lol what - My main was paella, it was...fine...not terrible but they were super stingy with the seafood, there were only 2 meager chunks of chicken, 3 tiny scallops and like 3 shrimp in the entire dish. Keep in mind these plates were fine dining prices; the ingredients here likely cost dollars, at best - Bf's steak was overcooked It was bad enough where I politely said something to the waitress which I NEVER do and she apologized and said their lead chef called in sick so all they had was a chef in training. Anyway that was all fine, we laughed it off at the time aa bad luck. But yesterday my bf's stomach was upset the whole day, and that my friends was the final straw to push me to write this review.
