PRG is part of the Chapel Hill restaurant group that owns Mez - which is just a few hundred feet down the road. The parking lot... it actually fits the size of the restaurant (unlike the parking by Mez), and one doesn't have to spend the better part of their lunch hour just trying to find a place to park. It's also not a shared parking lot, so the parking isn't trying to accommodate 2 other restaurants and a half dozen other small businesses. Seating was prompt as we were seated outdoors in a nicely shaded dining area. The outdoor tables, however, while they look sparkling clean, are not in particularly good shape... the beverage glasses, when put down, slide to the lowest point on the table, and if one is not careful... goodbye beverage. The corned beef Reuben was terrific. the Citrus Ade was terrific. Service was terrific, and the server did try to push refills for our drinks but... Here's what I find a bit put-offish, and thus the reduction by a star: Refills for the Citrus-ade are not complimentary - be sure to ask for water in addition to whatever flavored drink you order and double/triple check the menu to see which drinks do NOT have free refills. If one wants fries with their nearly $10 sandwich, instead of chips, it's $1.25 extra. The PRG chips aren't bad, but at the same time, most places like this include fries with the meal for that price. I can see the extra $1.25 for adding a salad, but, seriously, not for fries. Noise level is atrocious - inside, there's so much noise one cannot think. I'm surprised the servers can get the orders right. It's only slightly better outside. Some sort of noise absorption is clearly in order here. The bottom line is PRG is a decent place to go with pretty good food. Just make sure you read the fine print before you order. read more

Pulling up to PRG, I was conflicted. To see a parking lot so full (and it is a large lot), my immediate thought was that it was going to be a long wait. Then I contemplated how good the food must be. Yep, it's good! I ordered the turkey bacon avocado. It looked great and I was happy with my choice, however, two things stood out: it needs a bit more turkey and the tomato made my bread soggy in certain spots (it was not fresh, perhaps stewed?). The spinach salad side for an additional $1.50 was absolutely worth it. It was delicious (and nutritious) and came with cherry tomato, egg, mushroom, and bacon. The bacon in my salad was dry and tasted like jerky but the bacon in my sandwich was normal so I am hoping that the super dry bacon was just a one-off. I concur with what I have read from other Yelp reviews about this being a popular spot for lunches with coworkers. I even went there today with my coworkers ;). It is spacious and they have seating that can accommodate larger groups. The menu seems to cater to many preferences (burgers, sandwiches, salads). By the way, the wait ended up not being so bad, it was about 15 minutes for a table of five. read more

Just went for lunch as a group with a reservation. Waitress was great, but food was underwhelming. The wait after ordering was about 45 minutes, way too long for a lunch. I Ordered the highly recommended crab cake. The portion was so small my coworkers laughed. Needless to say, I was at most half full after paying for the most expensive item on the menu. The flavor was so so, and it was burnt on both side. The two stars are for the excellent service by the waitress. read more

Came here for dinner and had the grilled ribeye and their weekly special dessert, I think it was apple cinnamon something. Forgot what it was called. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. It was really medium rare. The potatoes were a little over salted. I don't mind the brussels sprouts but to some people, it might be too bitter. The aioli helps. The service was excellent. I was dining along but they were very attentive to my needs and water level was never below half. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Looked good online, menu sounded good. Part of the Chapel Hill Restaurant Group (Squids, MEZ, Spankys 411 West). Nice looking inside and bar area has great potential. Friday night 8pm and dead.......industrial location means they do crazy M-Th lunches and business dinners. Food was very good. I had a salad, my dining partner had scallops with rissoto. Both delicious. Also had the shrimp fresh corn hush puppies with pimento cheese dipping sauce. Wow! read more

What a great gem in the RTP area. I went for lunch once and it gets slammed during the week from 1130-100. Even finding parking in their lot is super hard during this time. However, service is fast and they know to get you in and out quickly to get back to the office. Atmosphere is clean and nice-a step up from a typical bar and grill. I got a cheeseburger with PRG chips and it was delicious. I recently went with a friend for dinner one Friday evening and it was dead! I guess this place really caters to the workers in RTP, but don't forget about it when thinking of places for dinner because we had a great experience. Our server was attentive and had great recommendations. He was also patient when we sat and chatted long after our meals were done. I opted for a seasonal berry salad with grilled shrimp. It was so good and fresh! I also got a blackberry mojito and it was very good and not too minty. For dessert I got their seasonal peach cobbler. I wasn't super impressed as it had very little breading and had a too thick brown sugar gelatin type topping. It was just okay so I think next time is get another dessert. Overall I really like this place and will be back again. read more

I ordered the Big Dill burger with PRG chips and after taking a bite into my burger, I realized it was raw on the inside. I am very disappointed. They did say they would credit back the meal to my card but I've never received a raw hamburger from any restaurant before. read more

I've missed PRG now that I don't work right down the street but they never disappoint. My fave, their salmon grain salad is phenomenal - they always cook the salmon perfectly. Easy to use OpenTable for reservations and i have had great experiences with coordinating larger catered events in their back patio area. Shareable apps and southern modern twist makes the food...it's always super busy but from time to time you can snag a first come first serve bar table. Great happy hour place if you dont mind the crowds or noise level. read more

I've never been a huge fan of PRG, I think that the dinner menu is overpriced for what it is. On this most recent visit a group of us visited for lunch. The pimento cheese starter was good, I enjoyed it with the crostini and vegetables. The Surf Club sandwich with PRG potato chips was just okay, I was not a fan of the crab cake itself. This is a popular lunch and after work hangout but it is not a spot that I would frequent. read more

Today was my second time here. Food was just as good as it was the first time. Last time I tried the crab cakes and green fried tomatoes. This time I had my eyes set on the scallops and the dish was amazing! They were perfectly tender and overall the dish was savory. I was also surprised how extensive the beer menu was....more so craft beers. A little disappointed with my desert. It was too fancy for my liking. I was expecting to receive a classic cheesecake. Their version had no crust...wait, what!? No crust? It should be against the law to make cheesecake with no crust lol. That's the best part folks!!! read more

Visited Page Road Grill for lunch. It's very close to the Research Triangle Park area and easy to find. The restaurant was very nice and there was no wait to be seated. The service was good and the food was tasty. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and it was quite a delight. I would recommend this place if you are looking for lunch options in the RTP area. read more

I have been to Page Road Grill a dozen or so times. Food is great, I love the Salmon, Grilled Chicken. The appetizers are yummy too, buffalo Chicken bites are highly recommended as well as the brussel sprouts. Service is just so-so. Food is quick to the table, but nearly every time I stop in I end up waiting forever for the server to refill my drink or bring the check. When we're in a large group, it's really awkward when half of the table waits for 30 minutes for the server to clean their plates, or when I need to raise my hand multiple times to get the check read more

In suburban RTP hell...this was a chain-y looking surprise. Pleasant. Great upscale foods...burgers...etc I had a red lentil dish with shrimp. It was delicious but shrimp on top added little for a whopping extra price. It has a wide menu and my pals liked their dishes. Not incredible but solid. A really good selection of local...and even Asheville beers made it a great night. read more

So so soooo delicious! Down the road from my work (how convenient!) and has a great waitstaff! Came here for a goodbye lunch for a coworker, and our table was given the secluded room, with doors to shut out the noise of the restaurant. Because I have never been there before, I decided to just pick randomly off of the menu, and went with the Turkey burger and chips. My goodness...so GOOD. Their cheese that they use for their sandwiches and burgers is amazing. And i'm not even sure what kind it is (I cannot remember). But the burgers were perfectly portioned with the chips, making me full and happy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for business dinners and for those who have a healthy appetite! read more

Very enjoyable! Arrived at 1pm and noticed most people were on their way out of the packed parking lot (always a good sign!). I sat at the bar and had a beverage within 2 minutes. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was out 5 minutes later! Absolutely delicious! As I finish my lunch now, the bartender just refilled my iced tea without asking. Excellent service! The couple next to me commented about how much they loved the food here on their way out. They're not alone! Keep up the great work! read more

After a long rainy day, I was picking up my parents at the airport after they'd had a long travel day. This place is on the way to Durham at the RTP near all the hotels. It really hit the spot! At first I was dismayed we were seated in one of the side rooms, but it was quiet enough to talk (there's a tv but on mute) and a lush and verdant view outside ... yeah it's a drainage area for a strip mall, but it was full of birds and plants! (lots of rain this spring) Looks like an interesting cocktail menu but my dad and I just had some regular gin martinis, which were good. The food was impressive. I had a really lovely spinach salad with a great dressing and good bits of nicely cooked mushroom, hard boiled egg, and bacon in it. For my entree, I almost thought it was a joke when I first saw it. I had ordered the brisket (which I have personally not often seen or at least not gotten in a nice restaurant compared to, say, a gas station bbq shop in Texas). It was a big square that looked like a brownie drizzled in icing! But nope, it was brisket and wow it was awesome! Very tender and juicy. All the right smells. Nice sides of sweet potato hash and grilled broccoli (well the broccoli could use something more but it was fine). Across the table my dad was astonished at the size of his pork shank because it wasn't that expensive. My mom really loved her crab cakes and the corn and roasted peas or something that was underneath it. So, quite a success. And easy on/off I-40. read more

Came here a number of times since my last review. The service is still great and the atmosphere is fantastic. It can get really crowded in the bar area at times. They did change some of the items on the menu, I liked it the old way. The food is still really great and their specials are usually really a great recommendation. I still enjoy this place and will keep coming back. read more

Great for a work lunch- it's a sit down restaurant but the food comes fast, so as long as the line isn't bad (was fine at 12:30 on a Friday), it's a great blend of fast and nice. The food is good and there is plenty of parking, so I'll definitely be back! read more

PRG has become at least a weekly lunch spot and many weeks it ends up being a post work watering hole. The lunch service is fast and they are working hard to get you in and out recognizing the hustle of the RTP lunch crowd. Salads and burgers here are top notch. Salmon done rare is a real treat over spinach. Can't believe it took the triangle so many years to add a place like this. read more

They always say start your feedback with something positive, so I will say that the food was delicious. I booked their private room to treat my family to dinner after our wedding. The service was the worst I've ever experienced, and I really don't know where to start. We arrived on time and sat down quickly and quietly. I made sure of this because I have been a server for many years and I know how annoying large parties can be. We sat for a while expecting the server to come in, introduce themselves, explain the menu, explain their process for taking our order, make suggestions... anything to get the ball rolling. We got none of this. Instead, Jose casually started taking drink orders in a lackluster way without writing anything down. When he brought the drinks back only some of them were correct and the ones that were he could not remember who ordered them so it became a cattle call style delivery. There was a second round for the drinks he forgot. I drank the wrong drink that I was delivered. It was the same story with the apps. No system, no writing anything down, no suggestions, no order. Some apps came back, some did not. We eventually got everything after a few reminders. He did in fact write down our meal orders and not surprisingly he got those correct. Our desserts were a disaster. He missed several, even our 10 yr old nephew was rolling his eyes because it was such a hot mess. The bread pudding had a date sticker baked right into it. When we brought this to his attention he had a good chuckle but he did not offer us a new one, he did not get the manager, and he did not take it off the bill. What? At no time did a manager ever pop in to introduce themselves, as one might expect for a large party. When I called to complain about this, the manager apologized and said they were busy... which was odd because I was there... and they were not busy. In fact they were quite slow with only a few tables full in the entire restaurant on a Saturday night. I took the time to write a Facebook review which I know the managers saw because they mentioned they saw it on the phone... but it is not showing on their facebook page... so it seems it's been censored. I am hoping they don't have that ability here. I was told I'd receive a call from the GM... that call has yet to come... I am wondering if they will see this and make the call. I am going to give it a couple days and then find another site to leave a review. Our tab was $800 and I even tipped the full 20% and was offered nothing, not even a replacement bread pudding without a date sticker. This was our celebratory wedding dinner and the service was hot garbage... and we paid a full bill and not a peep from the GM... what is going on over there at PRG? read more

So my one experience was very good. The service was attentive and friendly. I was here for lunch with coworkers and I decided on the Veggie Pita. It was described as portobello, roasted peppers, feta, pickled cauliflower, black-eyed pea hummus, and greens. It might sound a little odd but was delicious. There was a little too much balsamic as it dripped on the plate. The only true downside - for me - was that there was only one pita; I definitely could have done with less house chips and another pita. But it was a delicious veggie choice. The next time I'm in the area and we head out to lunch perhaps we can return and I'll have the opportunity to try another dish. read more

Went here while in town for vacation on the way to OBX. Service was OK, not the best. I had the brisket and a glass of wine. They have great desserts, in particular the banana bread pudding. I'm a sucker for this, and it lived up to expectations. I would return here. If service had been better, this would be a 3.5 star review. read more

Got take-out from here so cannot comment on the service except that the woman on the phone who took my order was very kind and the bartender who checked me out was also nice! Got the rib-eye and it was delicious! A little too charred on the ends but the center was so good! Great potatoes and veggies as well - a lot of food too. Good quality and quantity. Space inside looked nice as well. Good amount of parking - steep hill to drive down to exit, my car bottomed out a little so just be careful! read more

This is super conveniently located, and gets very busy at lunch. I had the veggie pita with a side of chips, and while the veggies were pretty good, the pita was super soggy because of the filling. I had the potato chips as a side, and the plate looked like the pita was the side for the potato chips. Expensive for the quality of food for sure, but it is a pretty central location. read more

I had a French Greyhound, Blood Orange Spritzer, and a sample of the Gizmo Deep Blueberry Saison. All were so good! I also had the Tuna Carpaccio and Brussels Sprouts. Both were yummy and had generous portions. Brussels Sprouts were a little spicy. Good but unexpected. :) Service was great; attentive and quick. read more

I've never been disappointed by the food or service here. This is a great spot for work meals out with colleagues. The menu is small and changes at lunch and dinner. There are a collection of salads and sandwiches at lunch. The sandwiches are delicious but messy so beware of ordering at work functions. The dinner menu does not include their sandwiches :( but does include a new set of entrees and small plates. The selection of options is not extensive but there's something for everyone. Some of my favorite things on the menu: Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, crab cakes, club sandwich, potato chips!!, romaine salad, and the orangeade drink! The parking lot here is an absolute nightmare and they need to fix it. read more

Good atmosphere and fabulous food. They have a small menu - must be reserved for their specialties because each dish was perfect. Smoked Brisket was tender & moist (even without the gravy) and so flavorful. The mashed sweetpotatoes were perfect, no strings, no hard lumps and full of sweet potato flavor - no sugars etc like most overdo. The sauteed spinach was simple and fresh. The grain salad was phenomenal. I do not normally choose this type salad but very glad I did. The cinnamon vinaigrette melded the quinoa, almonds, kale and cranberries together. It was not drenched in dressing -it was invisible and whole dish was delicious The brownie cake was light and fresh out of the oven with homemade ice cream. Brownie was a moist flavorful cross between choc cake and brownie. I love chewy almost fudgey brownies but hate lava cakes and souffles - but I really liked this brownie cake Perhaps it was a smaller menu because of COVID but there is something for everyone. But I like a place that sticks to what it does very well. Will definitely go back if I am back in RTD again. read more

Went on a weekday after work. Place was surprisingly busy. Asked the hostess if a table was OK, even though we were only getting drinks. "Of course!", she replied, and we were seated immediately. So far so good. It was only two of us but were seated at a 4 top. Totally fine with us, but apparently not for the server (we'll get to that..). Had a two drinks each and hung out for Anton 20mins total. Started to get a weird vibe from the server. Asked us repeatedly if we wanted to order anything. "No, thank you, just here for drinks". Then was asked a forth time! We felt oddly pressured so we got an appetizer. Fast forward maybe 5 mins and I get up to use the bathroom. On my way by the host station I overhear the server complaining about us just getting drinks. It wasn't hard to hear. She was basically yelling at the hostess. Awk-ward. I went back to the table. We closed the tab and left. Again, we were sat there, were transparent about just wanting a few drinks, and told it was fine by the hostess. Food we never wanted was OK. Nothing memorable but not bad. Place needs to get its act together (I.e., talk to this server). read more
