Ordered for pick-up. Black bean noodles (jjajangmyun) was good- would get again! Korean Spicy Seafood noodles (jjambbong) was forgettable- extremely salty for my taste while lacking flavor. On the positive, noodles in both dishes were still chewy and warm by the time we got home after a 25min drive. Food was also ready in 10mins and packaged well. May give jjajangmyun and other dishes a try next time but definitely skipping the jjambbong. read more

Delicious Korean noodle spot! I ordered a jajjangmyeon and my sister got the jjamppong. Portions were more than enough and came out relatively quick. They don't serve fountain drinks but you can choose a bottled/canned soda from their fridge or just grab a small cup of water. They have self-serve side dishes of radishes (yellow pickled radish) and utensils/napkins. The noodles were soooo yummy and I think for the price (about ~$8) it was a very good meal. read more

Very pleased with our first experience today. We came in pretty late, close to their closing time but were still able to get good food and service. We ordered tangsuyuk, jjambbong and the stir-fried noodle. Man, there's something about the stir-fried sauce that is very additive. Will definitely come back. read more

Everything was way tooooo SWEET! That is a bad thing when your seafood noodle soup is supposed to be spicy and savory. And when your black noodles are supposed to be slightly salty (not sure if salty is the correct word, but it will do). We will not be going back. The pre made stuff from the grocery tastes better. We came for their black bean noodles. We walked in and looked at each other shocked and wide eyed. Wow the smell from this place, ugh wreaked of sulfur. We decided to stay anyway seeing people dining in and we were starving lol. Seemed we also walked in at an awkward time because the food inspector was there, overheard food temps were good and only pointed out the fridge for drinks needed to be colder. As we waited for our food the smell disappeared thank goodness. Pickled radish, vinegar, soy/oyster sauce?, watery siracha, red pepper powder, and aprons provided. Friend ordered jjajangmyun (bbn)- just okay, less onions please, sauce needs a little work, I added some vinegar which gave it some sweetness, but still not as good as China Factory in HMART's food court, I ordered Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle)- this was the winner, no fish odor/sand, broth was amazing, unsure if it was lady like to pick up the bowl and slurp, but we did it lol. mmm what perfect combination of seafood, veggies and noodles read more

Literally the best place to get black bean noodles! One huge order is enough to share with a group of three. Love that they have bowls and and cutlery available to make it easier to share. Paik's has become a favorite of mine and will be back for more! read more

Great simple place to get a delicious simple meal of jjajangmyun and jjampong! You order with the lady at the counter and pay. There is a little table next to her with complimentary radish pickles, vinegar, etc. that you can help yourself to. They call out your number and you go to the counter to get your food. It is fast, simple, fresh, and delicious! Pricing is very reasonable too. I have eaten here many times and have always had a satisfactory experience! read more

Definitely my favorite place to get jjajangmyun. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the sauce just the right consistency : not too watery and not too thick. I've had the tangsuyuk as well. The pork is nice and crisp while the sweet and sour sauce is the perfect sweetness. I have yet to try the spicy soup, but will definitely come back and try it! I am not Korean. I was kind of intimidated about ordering, but it turned out OK because I looked at the pictures on the menu and picked numbers. The staff at the register could definitely speak English and made sure to call out order numbers in both languages. The transaction went fine. We got the black bean noodles that we ordered. I think I like this place, self-service. They have only 4 entree menu serve on rice or noodle. I have no idea with all of the choices but I just pick no.1 with noodle. Okay so this place only makes 4 items, but man are they REALLY good at those 4 items! Lol We got the Jjangmyeon and sweet and sour pork (sauce mixed it). They were both really really yummy. The pork would have been good with some rice, but it actually doesn't come with rice. However the portion was really good for the price, we paid like ~$18 for both and it was pretty filling. The service is really quick (you go up to cash register to order first, not like a tradition sit down restaurant). Overall great place to stop by for a quick bite! read more

This is a favorite place to have dinner when you don't want to get dressed up, fight traffic or parse through an incredibly verbose menu. You know you will be treated well here when the person at the register near the kitchen greets you as you enter. (annyeonghaseyo if you are Korean and Hello! if you are not, I am not Korean so I am offered the Hello). You approach the register and make your selection from the overhead menu board. Look up from the counter and you can see the kitchen staff hard at work with gigantic cooking pots in the incredibly clean kitchen!!! It is always a big plus for me when I can see the environment my food is being prepared. I wish ALL restaurants had CCTV displays of their kitchen in one of the common areas so we could all see what is going on back there! After ordering and paying for your meal you take a couple of steps to the left and forward to a little trolley containing eating utensils (metal fork, spoon and a large metal ladle, scissors and the requisite chop sticks) oh, and you will see 2 sizes of bowls. Regular soup sized bowl for ladling out from the large bowl used to serve your spicy seafood noodle order and a small ramikin sized bowl for the self served sweet yellow radishes. These serve as palate cleansers and a delectable fire extinguisher for your mouth if the spice gets to be too much so don't neglect to fill the little bowl! As you walk to your table you might be wondering aloud why they didn't try to sell you something to drink. I have eaten there at least 5 times and have only seen people drink water from the styrofoam cups near the water cooler to the right as you move toward the seating area. This is also where you can pick up an apron/bib to protect your shirt/blouse as you happily slurp the world famous Paik's noodles!!! They will either call your number or name or they will bring your food to you once ready. Enjoy the meal and enjoy watching the local families coming into Paik's to enjoy their meal as well as advertising the fact that this is considered authentic cuisine by those in the know! read more
