We dined in & ordered "20min" cheesy bread stix & what turned into an hour long wait for a deep dish pizza, which both turned out to be well worth it. I'm sure about 30 ppl came in & out for P/U. So I ordered today, which was four slices a simple order. I went to pick it up and when I got home I saw that they forgot one slice. I called and they apologized and said that they don't know why they forgot to give me a slice. I told them it was okay that I just wanted a refund for the one they forgot, she said okay but she had to get manager. The manager, Alan, said that he was the one who personally put everything in the box, I told him well they gave me one small box with two slices and one in a separate container with another and one is missing, but again he said that he had(basically called me a liar). I told him it was fine though I just want a refund for that ONE they forgot, but apparently since I took it home I can only get a credit. I told him that all this literally happened in 10 minutes and all I want is refund for the one slice, he said no that it was only a credit and he said in order to get a refund i had to take everything back. I was going to do this but I was taking care of my niece and I would have to put her back in the car seat. I just moved into the area and I use to order from the one in Cicero all the time and never had a problem, management was a lot better too. We have been ordering from here for about three years or so, always to go never dinned in; their hot wings are good and hot, pizza isn't like the last coke in the desert but it's okay, I've tried other stuff but nothing has wowed me but food is edible and it's extremely close to us... While the food always seems to be good. Service is never that good. We visited for lunch on Friday at 12:30. Paisans was about a quarter full or less. We ate at the bar tables. Ordered our drinks and pizza right away. Waitress was not attentive and the pizza came in 45 minutes. She gave our order to another table then gave to us. This was one of the worse pizzas we've had in the area. We got the supreme. The crust was mediocre. The sauce was bland. I guess it's their style (according to our waitress) to have giant poorly cut toppings. Including the end piece of an onion over an inch long?! The cheese was rubbery. Overall, just terrible. I had a very bad experience with Paisans. It started with the wrong pizzas delivered. I spoke to a really nice woman on the phone and she said they'd get new pizzas out to me. I explained that I work at a school and the children only have 50 minutes to eat before class begins. I decided to wait for the new pizzas because she said they would be there in 15 mins. Fast forward 25 minutes and the poor 6-7 year olds are starving with only 15 minutes of lunch left. I called again and they promised it was almost here. 10 minutes go by...there's now 5 mins of lunch left. I call again and they put the manager on the phone. I explained everything again and let him know I was not happy with them. I told him the least he could do was refund me the money and he became irate. He said "we actually lost money on you because we left you the two pizzas that were wrong and are sending out two new ones". He kept saying the pizza just arrived. I explained that I saw my coworker bring it in but the students only had 3 minutes to eat. He started yelling and told me people make mistakes and it's not that big of a deal. I was completely shocked. I let him know that I'd be writing a review on Yelp and this pissed him off even further to the point where I finally had to hang up on him bc he wouldn't stop belittling me and raising his voice. I just don't think it's too much to ask to be compensated in some way when Paisans is wrong in the first place. I will NEVER do business with them again and that manager is downright rude, inflexible, condescending, and borderline abusive. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. I have heard from several other people in this community that they have stopped going to Paisan's because of the rude manager, issues with ordering, and being treated without respect. Note I'm giving 3 stars and being very lenient by doing that. For TRUE pizza fans this place is compared to Pizza Hut that delivers. The overall creation of the pizza is fair. The thin crust is paper thin and loaded with too much cheese. The overall pizza itself is also too sweet (thus like Pizza Hut). The kids love it but its not a traditional pizza recipe. This is by far my favorite Pizza place in all of Chicago. I grew up in Chicago, and I have been ordering from here since late in high school. I joined the military, been gone several plus years, and I still have to have them at least once or twice when I'm home on leave every so often. Best tasting sauce ever. I probably should give only four stars since I've never ordered anything from them besides pizza, so I can't judge everything, but pizza is there primary sell. Last night my husband & I decided to try the one in Brookfield, we have ate many times at the one in Berwyn & have never had a problem.When we walked in at 7:15 it was pretty empty sat down ordered an appetizer & our pizza. The restaurant started to fill up & we noticed other people getting their pizza. Finally after an hour the waitress informed us that the order was over looked & asked if we wanted to order something else. What? I said it's fine we will wait. Our pizza came out at 8:45 & wasn't even cooked. I carried it up & said please put this back in. Ordered a chesseburger special. It took 20 minutes. Fries were not cook thru and burger was not even hot. The staff there was very rude. I wish I could give this place a rating lower than 1 star. The manager, Valon, is a horrible person to be running this place. My family is regular customers here. Yesterday my sister called to place a big order for pickup today consisting of 3 jumbo pizzas and garlic sauce. The manager tried to charge her $47.00 for the garlic sauce when she paid $20.00 every other time she ordered the garlic sauce. The manager then told my sister that she is not a reasonable person and she obviously doesn't know how to read. He was screaming at her I could hear him screaming while sitting across the room from her. She told him to cancel the order because she did not like being disrespected by a manager of a pizza place as a customer. Then she hung up the phone. He called her back two times to continue to yell at her. This is disgusting. No one should be treated this way. I would advise people to not go here anymore. My family will no longer be giving them business. They need to reevaluate who they hire and obviously work on the customer service. read more

Wow! I am shocked to see some of the negativity! I have lived in Brookfield for 17 years and have never had a bad experience. We love the pizza and order regularly. Admittedly we don't eat in but our pizza is always delicious, hot and exactly what we ordered. They give you 1-2 liter bottle of soda depending on the size of your order. We used them to cater our son's birthday party and they were on time, friendly, and brought everything we needed. Salads were huge and delicious and our guests were leaving with leftovers of everything and raving about the pizza. We are planning on having his party in the restaurant this year. read more

When I asked them for plates/utinsels, they told me they were out of utinsels and would bring me them when they were available. I NEVER RECEIVED THEM. Terrible, will never go there again. I came here for my boyfriend after they remodeled, not only are prices high but the service is horrible. Our server Gaby kept giving u attitude because she wanted my boyfriend and I to order more than just a pizza. As if we would add on more to the bill. The pizza was really good and fresh off the oven. Our server Gaby never came back to check on our table. She was mostly concerned in standing in the back register and talking to her co worker. Paisans used to have great customer service and great prices for appetizers. I mean come on $14 for calamari! Staff needs to change their attitude and they need to lower the prices for their appetizers. This restaurant used to be the it spot back in high school, now it's a disappointment. Just got a pizza and a order of wings last night. Its was just a regular large sausage pizza and a small order of wings. We called it in for delivery and when ordered the girl didn't tell us the price, I didn't think anything of it. So about an hour later they come to our house with the food and the driver tells us $37.00! I immediately tell him you have the wrong order. He reads what he has and this was our food. I am still in shock over their prices, we have been ordering from here for 10 years and this was our last time. Although the pizza is delicious, the staff make for a sour taste in your mouth. The "manager" is extremely rude and yelled several times on the phone. I love Paisans, and it's only a short walk from my house. They have a sweeter sauce that I know isn't for everyone, but I'm hooked. I like to get green and black olives on my pizza. The saltiness of the olives mixes nicely with the sweet sauce. read more

I agree with all the 1 star reviews- slow, rude service- sauce is sweet which is either good or bad depending on your taste. However, on more than 1 occasion- it simply cannot be coincidence-I have gotten sick after eating here. I don't think it is a stretch to assume that the rude, unmotivated employees working there are not hygienic and are cross-contaminating the work areas.
